Whirlpool whirlpool french door refrigerator (ice maker)

Product was purchased in Oct 2016 and the Ice Maker died in June 2018. When it was first used, it made a strange noise while making Ice but because we had never had a Whirlpool refrigerator before, we assumed it was normal. After the second Ice Maker was installed and DIDN'T WORK, I felt there was a problem with your Ice Makers. Now that the new ice maker is installed there is NO noise and make me believe the Ice Maker was defective from the get go and I should be reimbursed for the $135.00 labor I was charged.. Whirlpool refrigerator service call

This is so frustrating. We had the fridge for about 1 year when the compressor needed replacement. I called and told them that we haven't even been using the fridge for 8 months and she told me she could cover the parts and that this labour would be 129.99$. So they had a tech come the next day just to look at the fridge and tell me it's the compressor well yeahhh I told the girl yesterday over the phone. So he goes to charge me 129.99 and to follow it that it's going to be an extra 400$ for the compressor. I was in shock. Nothing was done today but the charge of 130$. My husband was able to do the work tomorrow but when they told me it would be 130$ and the parts paid we did it that way instead. Now I called them and they didn't offer to do anything about it and i told them I won't be doing the compressor with them. Now I'm short 130$ (for something I had told them yesterday). Worst brand I will never buy from them again.

Whirlpool issue regarding product refrigerator: model: 20518, s. no. irc161100825.

I have given complaint 5 days back through company website for not responding of company service franchise mr. Ashok in chittoor dist, Andhra Pradesh-517422, but still not response from company or any service franchise.

I have bought whirlpool refrigerator In the month of April 2016, now it is not working, so we made service request to company franchise at chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh, then check and informed that it cost around 2500 ti repair the refrigerator and then we paid said amount. But no receipt was received from him. There after he said it must be on for 12 hours for freezer. Then we waited for one day even it is not cooling. There after we asked him but he said again it cost 2500 for the repair.

Here the product cost it self of RS. 20000, for repair after 2 year it cost 5000 then how it is going to burden on us further.

What is the use of buying the company product. The company charging higher amount through service and maintenance. It is too cost for common people who use your company product. Due to repair and non response from company or service franchise, we are struggling from past 10 days. Here Mr. ashok was directing us to approach company or customer care for response, this what the company managing the service agent/employees.

Kindly look into the issue and resolve on urgent basis.

This refrigerator has been a nightmare since day one. I am finally able to submit a complaint even tho I have owned this piece of junk a couple of year. I am submitting pictures so that everyone can see the junk whirlpool sells. Note the way the glass shelves were cut. Not straight. This has lead to multiple accidents losing food, energy, time. The design is poor in that food gets under the rollers for the shelves. You can't get it out unless you have a special tool to remove part of the refrigerator to clean under. But apparently if you don't get it ALL out the frig smells constantly rotten no matter how much you clean. I am so disgusted and disappointed that I laid down almost $1000.00 for this refrigerator and I am a poor widow. But I am sure whirlpool does not care. They will continue to beat down the little man with the big name and the garbage it pushes off to the little man as valuable. I wish you could eat this Whirlpool because I did not get to eat a lot of food I bought because of this...

i purchased a stainless whirlpool fridge about 3 years ago. I am finding now that there seems to be rust spots everywhere, especially on the inside of the doors and on the outside bottom of the doors. anyone ever have this issue and if so, what can I use to take that rust off the doors.

I understand your frustration I am going through the same thing with them. When I ask how many times does it have to break down before it is replaced or refunded all they say is we do not refund or replace we just fix. I had my frig for a month and it broke down now it's been several times. I so regret buying it, curse the day I decided to buy this frig. They don't care that it is an inconvenience throwing away food, being without ice, time spent calling and trying to get someone to help you. They don't even bother to get someone to your home right away, they take their sweet time. The tech is never prepared to fix it he always says I will be back and then they reschedule for a later time because there is always an issue with ordering the parts that are needed. It seems that if the company is aware of the ongoing problems with the items they sell, they should have the parts on hand for quick repairs. So inconsiderate they are! Why doesnt any one think to send the tech prepared to fix the issue.

Whirlpool whirlpool refrigerator model wrf535smbm

The new home we live in had a Whirlpool WRF535SMBM fridge included. After 18 months the gasket around the door began to separate. The cost to replace the gasket is $160 for each side of the double doors. This is definitely a defect but Whirlpool insists it is out of warranty and will not replace them. Now I have to pay $320 (not including the cost to install them) for a fridge that is only worth $1800. Sad that I have to make a repair that is almost 20% of the value of the fridge after only 18 months.

Whirlpool we have been trying to contact customer service and the product exchange department about replacing our new refrigerator.

After not getting a call back about what Whirlpool would do about our non-repairable refrigerator Robles, we called them. We spent a total 2 hours and 40 minutes on hold and have not talked to anyone. We got one call back at a time we couldn't answer and provide the needed info. Returned the call early this morning and have been on hold 40 mins without talking to anyone. Whirlpool customer service in this case has been really frustrating. At least have a real person answer the phone and let us know where we are in the process. In the meantime, our groceries are soaking wet from the door seal issue on the refrigerator.

We bought the above refrigerator from home depot story road on May 18th 2018.
After 1 week there was a gasket leak which made ice in the freezer. The service man solved it.
After 2 weeks the top shelf of refrigerator section started to freeze. The service guy said its could be a sensor issue and he managed to change it aft 2 weeks. The very next day the cooling in the refrigerator section went sharply down and had to call service again. They said the sensor isnt working so have to replace.
In 4 weeks I have called 3 services for the same issue.
Till date the issue isnt resolved.
All my stuff has spoiled in the fridge. I have a 1 yr old whose all baby food has spoiled. I have to take a work off to get these services done. Being summer the food cant be kept outside and m scared this ll affect my baby s health.
Why is it expected of me to use this garbage unit after paying a full price for it.
I want a replacement for this unit else I ll have to take legal actions against this harassment.

Whirlpool range fridge and dishwasher

I own six whirpool appliances I have a problem with three of them. My range, fridge and dishwasher have rust spots on them. They were purchased in 2015. I need help to resolve the problems. Whirlpool product review board customer service

Bought this whirlpool refrigerator via Costco, after quite a few unsuccessful repairs, I decided to replace/return.
Reached Whirlpool customer service, they emailed me a few models to choose from to replace it or return the old one.
6/19/2018 I received their email offer to exchange or refund.
6/27/2018: I emailed them that the models offered are much smaller than mine, and asked for a similar one.
6/27/2018: Angel emailed back saying my model was discontinued, they don't have the same size.
6/27/2018: I emailed back and told them I'll take the refund.
7/2/2018, 7/3/2018: emailed to follow up. All with no responses.

During the time, I also called them more than 5 times. 2 of the 5 times I was offered to call me back by an automated service. But never received the callback. Other times simply got disconnected after about half an hour waiting.
One time, I called their customer service, the service rep said she had to connect me with this Product Review Board. But there is no luck.
Twice I called them via Costco, Costco reps couldn't reach them before they have to drop the call.

Sent them another email on 7/11/2018, still waiting for the response.

On hold 25 hrs in last week. have been approved for replacement by product review board; they say they tried to contact me; left no message; gave me the general numbe to call them back; on hold yet again for an hr and counting - they suck - my dishwasher leaks from the front door serviced 4 times; replaced gasket and 2 parts; then was told to put a sealant around gasket which has now melted in my machine; never never another whirlpool product again - i'm done

Whirlpool washer wtw118bag top load washer 11 kg

We bought this on 12/07/16 and it has ceased to function. This is my third call for service. They replaced the capacitor part on my 2nd call on 06/27/18 and now it doesn't spin. We are washing our clothes by hand and have made a third call for service within the last 3 months.
I would like a refund as I can't keep taking off work because your service centre in Singapore does not take problems seriously.
I had no problem with Whirlpool in California and am fed up with. The service and repeat calls to Whirlpool SEA in Singapore.

Whirlpool cost of sensor to my whirlpool washing machine

An error F22 code and tools red appeared on screen of my whirpool washing machine. they told me a sensor is To be replaced.as i bought my washing machine 2 years before in Lebanon agent sais hé has to order spare part from abroad and it will cost me 280$ .
Is it fair to pay such amount?
When i purchase it i paid 675$.

We have bought whirlpool washer last year July end.

First we got defective dryer Lowe's replaced it we been asking to replace washer too. If you see history we have called two -3 times bcoz the area were you put liquid turns all black. U guys have changed that before for us but again it's same way
We were advised to let it dry and we follow that still we have same issue
The tech who came 2nd time did Nthg didn't even clean it or fix it
Plus he didn't know what he was talking about
It's nkt the first time I am using washer and dryer

It seems you guys are just waiting for the warranty to over and than charge me.

I want some one to come and fix this issue for ever and as I am saying from day 1 the washer is defective request you guys to please take this matter seriously and exchange my washer

Whirlpool bad service on phone

Very aggravating experience with Whirlpool customer service. Needed a missing template that should of came with slim microwave oven. On the phone nearly a hour and 15 minutes before getting someone ( Kathleen ) that actually helped me. Went through four customer service reps giving me so much lines of BS with warranty and sending a service tech to assess the situation when all I wanted was a template that should of been with the unit to begin with. Unit Model WML55011HS-1. If this is what someone has to go through to get something that was missing from the unit I would hate to see what you have to do to get a certain part. I know a few contractors and thinking of telling them to beware of your product customer service. I do want to thank Kathleen again for doing a good job and not being inept as the others.

Whirlpool delivery service

I purchased an electric range 06-06-2018 from Lowe's in Fayeteville NC delivery date a few days after. The date was pushed to 06-25-2018. Now its pushed up to 07-07- 2018.My kitchen remodeling can't be finished until the range and the downdraft range hood is here to be properly installed with the cabinets. This is costing time money and discomfort. please help

Buyer Beware: I purchased WRS325F in 2013. Refrigerator LED light board failed/flashing light due to faulty/compressed wires. Called Customer Service who says the product is out of warranty and I must pay for service. LED lighting is technology that lasts 15-20 years. Countless video/repair info online documenting faulty engineering/manufacturing on this manufacturers part. The consumer never wins with this company.

Whirlpool total third world junk

Bought a new top load whirlpool machine with this he logo sticker, and a small (but biggest I could find) agitator and looked like the old timiest automatic I could find. Wrong. Total junk! 80 minute electricity guzzling cycle. Clothes come out sopping wet. 3 out of 5 loads (2 of them tiny loads, lightweight stuff; the other (heaven forbid) contained a bath towel in it)...3 of them unbalanced, the machine started clunking loudly, and began to walk across the room! I couldn"t stop the machine! Let alone open the lid to rebalance! The last time this happened, the friggin 130 pound traveling machine pinned me up against the wall!

These are third world machines designed for deserts where people will kill each other for a gallon of water. I live right across the road from the 4th largest body of fresh water in the world! But this is all I can buy? It fills the tub about 1/3 at most. Wtf?

If you have an old machine keep it! If it has to be put up on a hoist like a 1954 ford, tough! Get it fixed. These are total 3rd world junk they are selling and most annoying, no alternative at any price.

I'm sure some [censored]ic goon in washington dc brought this on.

I'm supposed to save water supposedly for some illegitimate [censored] in sub-saharan africa to use? Says who?

I think the only possible alternative is a commercial washer - if you can find one. Ebay has a few and they are costly.

UPDATE: GE has a top load washer WITH NO "HE" logo, a real agitator, apparently fills up with water, and even has a lid that stays unlocked until it goes into spin. Same price as that miserable Whirlpool. I just didn't look carefully enough. Machines like the GE are rare. Moral of the story: Look online before you decide and look especially at the "Comments." That's the only way you'll find out. BTW: Only buy appliances at Lowe's! Free delivery. 30 day return, money back, no questions asked, and they really do! Nobody will offer you that.

Interestingly, both Lowe's and GE are both Government subsidized companies. I guess there are perks besides just staying in business if the gov decides to subsidize you. That GE washer (unlike all the others I've looked at) does not conform to WHO "safety" restrictions. Best part is the lid lock is actually removeable with a Phillips screwdriver! Good old days!

I totally agree that I bought a whirlpool dryer in Hong Kong through Fortress. It doesn't dry the clothing. Half wet. The technical support team stops by 7 times, and no clue why it doesn't work as expected. Even more ridiculous, the last senior technician said that it is not normal because the bed sheet is too long. Give me a break, it is a standard sheet. What a shame. Whirlpool == crappy product. Don't patron it.

Whirlpool poor manufacturing quality and poor service quality of whirlpool india

Hello

I am writing this email to express my pain and at the same time i seek strict action from your side to replace the new cooling coil under AMC (HP17-844084) running with my Split AC. I bought this AMC on 09-06-2018 and it is valid for one year.

I have registered a low cooling rate complaint with Whirlpool service ( Complaint number DL0618022347 ). Two technicians came to my home from outsource subsidiary of whirlpool India (For servicing of AC) under the name Impulse home care services ([protected], 011-[protected]), and they declared that the cooling coils are damaged and needs replacement. The moment they came to know that i have AMC, they both called to their manager and then told me that this problem can be rectified by welding the cooling coils where they found leakage (7 places). These are the same guys who said initially that this cooling coil is fully damaged and can't be rectified, as the 1.5 m long cooling coil is already welded at 32 spots and it has no Flexural strength and the same coil can't withstand the refrigerant (R22) pressure.

I know these technicality as i am HVAC engineer and worked with Blue Star R&D Design head quarter Mumbai.

I had a discussion with their manager ([protected]-Sunny) and he said he will not give any new cooling coil even if the customer is having AMC. Post that i asked both the technicians to assemble the AC again and then they left and my AC is still not working.

I have following points where you need to take actions and send me the reply as i have also put up the same complaint in consumer court :
1. The quality of your product is so bad that cooling coil went to its death in 15 months. Why there was no replacement within 15 months by the technician? he preferred to weld it at 32 spots in last September and the leakage started again in June next year.
2. The customer care and your technician come to our houses and force us to buy AMC- Split ac comprehensive plan so that everything is replaceable other than plastics and remote. Why at this time they are not replacing my AC cooling coils with the new one even when i am having AMC?

Please take the actions resolved the issue on priority.

Whirlpool Commercial washer/dryer purchase delay of delivery of goods no explanation

We are the owners of 8 large apartment complexes. We thought we would try and give Whirlpool a try. We ordered our 6 Whirlpool commercial washer and dryers from Lowes. We were given a guaranteed delivery date. Lowes called us the day before this guaranteed delivery date to advise us that WHIRLPOOL delayed our delivery. No explanation or reason no nothing. I asked Lowes to call them back and to find out why, they came back with no answer again.
I attempted to call Whirlpool customer service. I was greeted by an extremely rude man who told me he could discuss this with me. He would only talk to Lowes. EXCUSE ME but I am the customer. SOOOOOO back to Lowes I go and ask them to call Whirlpool again. After being on hold for 42 minutes, Lowes came back on the line to tell me that Whirlpool did not have an answer. She was going to investigate it further. After multiple calls to Whirlpool by Lowes. Are you ready? The answer was chalked up to a computer miscommunication. Really? That's the best you got? You should be embarrassed about how this was handled and possibly put some money into training your customer service reps. They are unprofessional and rude. Best of luck. We will no longer do business with Whirlpool.

Whirlpool refrigerator model wrt311fzdm

This product was purchased on 11-25-2016 from Home Depot with an additional three year warranty. This new lemon purchased has been a night mare and a financial burden do to the enormous amount of food lost. Service Technician have been coming to to replace different parts that were either manufacturer damaged and or the incorrect part was attached. Excessive amount of moisture in the refrigerator and the freezer at had more than a quarter inch of frost for this frost free freezer. The freezer door seals are not air tight as it should be, the door is dented which was finally reported to on 07-08-2017 which was still under the manufacturer warranty. The whirlpool customer service representative stated the door is on order. The door arrived on November 18, 2017 and it was the incorrect door it was a cream color and my refrigerator is stainless steel at that time the technician reported the error and again I was assured that the correct freezer door would be sent. A call was placed to Platinum factory Service @800-840-8005 which a very Rude Poor Customer service representative name Tara who Abruptly informed my father that the door will not be replaced because the manufacturer warranty had expired and that if he wants a new freezer door he need to pay $800.00 dollars. My father and I went to place of purchase on May 29, 2018 there we received friendly customer service from Jean S. She went above and beyond trying to help resolve this unpleasant experience, she also called Platinum factory Service and also with the same Rude Poor Customer service representative Tara who not only Rude to Jean S but to another male customer service representative who was trying to assist. A technician will be out again on June 21, 2018 to replace gaskets.
No customer should have to encounter this poor quality of service by the manufacturer who will not honor their warranty and the additional extended warranty purchased.
