I have been using western union to send money to the philippines every month for more than 4 years. Now for the last 3 days I get this message general compliance decline.. What is going on? I called it in but not getting any help.. I have never had this issue in all the times for more than 3 years sending money every month to the same person in the phillippines...

1- On May 20, 2020 I made a money transfer of $600 USD to be deposited to the recipient bank account Cairo, Egypt.
(MTCN) is : [protected] Date of transactions: 05/20/2020 13:45:34 ET.

2- On May 27, 2020 WU sent an email confirming payment for money transfer has been received and it will be available in the recipient account by May 28, 2020.

3- On June 7, 2020 I contacted WU after the transfer recipient has confirmed none delivery of money transfer. WU customer service representative provided a transaction tracing number : DB7517025105 and asked to use it to tack the transaction at the recipient bank in .

4- On June 8, 2020 recipient bank could not trace the transfer.

5- On June 9, 2020, I submitted a refund request and a case # [protected] was provided as a reference.

6- On June 27, I called WU customer services requesting a status update and was told the investigation has been completed and a refund request has been sent for authorization.

7- On July 2, 2020 I called WU customer services requesting a case update and was told my case is still waiting on a refund authorization. I explained the same was mentioned on June 27 and I requested to speak to a supervisor. The CSR could not locate her supervisor. When I demanded to talk to her manger, she puts the call on hold for over 20 minutes and finally hang up on me.

8- When I called again and demanded to speak to supervisor who identified herself with ID# 443, I was told the case is still under investigation. She was completely incompetent and instead of listening to my problem, she complained that I am not listening to what she is saying. And she is right, I was not listening since all what I have heard from of previous calls was nothing but lies, conflicting information and empty promises.

I am requesting an immediate refund of $600 USD since WU was not able to perform the transfer service. Additionally, I am requesting to know what is the reason for not getting a refund as of today July 2, 2020.

Western Union is incompetent. They hire incompetent people. Their business practices and policies are incompetent. Are you comprehending me?

I spend the majority of a day trying to send a measly $7.00 USD to another country recipients bank account. I was denied over and over again; always a different reason. It is their policy to have some non-english speaking person to call you to VALIDATE your authorization of a transfer. They ask you private and personal information that they have no business knowing, PERIOD.

What their requirements and policies are, who knows, but if they don't like the information your provide them, they deny the transaction and disable your account. I even tried a transfer directly from my bank account, auto denied from that point on.

I will send them a bill for my time. Don't waste yours!

On 2/12/2020 I sent a "Money Order Customer Request" form for a refund of $400 because the money order was sent to the Bahamas and they will not cash a money order in the Bahamas. I sent it to the Englewood Address with a letter explaning everything. I also sent a receipt as to where I purchased the money order. I have not heard from anyone about this nor have I received a refund. Can someone please advise me as to what's being done? The money order number is 19-[protected]

I have been using Western union for many years. I buy gems and send money to people who help me primarily in Brazil. The amounts are small but may happen two or three times a month. Recently i went to make a transfer and i was informed that I was banned and no reason was provided. I was given an email addrees to write to which i have dine twice and i have had no response. I reviewed Western Union transfer policy in an attempt to understand what i have done wring and insee nothing. I have switched to moneygram. Western Union seems to not care about me as a customer so i would advise people to use moneygram.

A money transfer of $800 to my piano teacher was refused because of a false allegation of a scam. (11/17/19 MTCN upon request)

My piano teacher is currently visiting her family in the Ukraine from which she teaches me via the Internet. Although I provided such intrusive details of where and how I hired the teacher, where I first met her, how long I have known her, when I will see her again, and so on, the money transfer was canceled.

Although I assured the Western Union representative and subsequently, the supervisor, that this is no scam, the money transfer was canceled and my teacher therefore was not paid. I find this outrageous.

I actually contacted my teacher using my cell phone and while this embarrassing exchange was going on with the Western Union supervisor, he refused to allow her to even listen to the outrageous conversation that I was having with Western Union.

I have no idea whether you are accusing me, my piano teacher, or both of us of a scam. I find it insulting that I have had to provide so much information about another person simply to pay them for their services.

I would like to know on what basis you decided that payment to my piano teacher was a scam although I doubt you will do so.

I want you to know that I will never use Western Union again. I also want you to know that I will inform every person that I know never to use Western Union as you are unreliable and untrustworthy.

At this point, I have no idea if my money will be refunded by Western Union as I have no faith whatsoever in your company. However, I absolutely insist that you do so.

I contacted them over 9 times and I get no resolution
They always say it will be refunded in a couple days

I've sent an urgent money from Sydney and will receive by family member in Asau Savaii
Three times family member went to office at Asau Savaii but the officer said the reviewer's name is not right
I myself in Sydney sent the receipt to my family member
In the receipt the same name I'm using every time I sent money
The officer in Asau Savaii said to ring me in Sydney to put the last name first and the first name last into a new receipt but that's not the ordering of names in my family member I'D
The same day one of my brothers sent a money from American Samoa to my same family member in same way I put reviewer's name and it was successful
I believe the office in Asau Savaii didn't have enough cash to release the fund
But my complaint is a very uneducated customer services
The money I sent was for an emergency tomorrow the 3/11/19
But still they can't release it
I believe the service is to help people but not to give customer hard time even if the customer provided evidence to meet the requirements
I believe the uneducated branch in Asau Savaii should be no longer operates to service people
Please shut this office down I will never recommend this office to any body or friends for receiving money they lying to people, uneducated, poor way to treat customers they are not ready to serve the public

I been a customer with western union for years as well and only send money using cash. One day I tried to receive money and the person was refunded back with no explanation. I called them and their saying I can't send or receive money anymore and they don't want my business. For me to send an email to gcr@westernunion.com this has me very concern my friends and family help me sometimes and I help them I don't understand what the problem is. Something needs to be done about this.

I was also banned from using the service. I was shocked because I've been using their service for the past 6 years. First, they said I have had reached the maximum receivable amount in a year then after less than 24hrs. they said I was totally banned. I even talked to a representative asking what is their reason but he didn't answered me instead he shouted at me saying that we can do nothing about it. The hell is wrong with them, blocking someone as if I did something criminal. :(

I have using Western Union for the last 2 1/2 years now with no problems until September 23/19 my husband has been blocked for no reason. I called Western Union and got no help. What is the problem? I don't understand, if I have been sending money to the person for years why block the account

The calls are outsourced to foreign countries. Apparently Western Union employees don't have the system to communicate with an Western Union in anther country for resolution in this technology based world we

After two years of using this service to send money to my girlfriend i was blocked after inquiring why i was told bec of where i was sending the money to .Nigeria so after two years that now that is and issue.So because my gilfriend is from there she has to suffer ...Western Union ur policies are suppose to be in place to protect us and not frustrate us.Not everyone is a criminal so stop treating everyone same. It is not right find another way without making it difficult for people who just tryn to support the ones they love.They don't care abt how they manage😔😔

I used to love WU. Bring able to help my family overseas. I was a victim of a scam and they blocked after an investigation and treated me as if I did it! I [censored]en hate hate WU now. Making it difficult for money transfer now. I waited damn near a month for the results, gave them all my personal info (Birth certificate, social etc) I mean I coulda video chatted them if they didnt think I was real smdh. And after that I was declined for future services. [censored]es!

Difficult trying to get refund for a cancelled transaction. Cancelled western union transaction on August 1, 2019 and trying to get refund. The customer service representative told me to come back 2 days to get refund. Went back to store and again told no, account being reviewed for approval.
Contacted western union customer support at least 5 times trying to get resolved. Each time I called was told yes you can get refund.
A supervisor would call in 24 hrs with instructions to receive refund. I called because hadn't been contacted by western union supervisor. Was told yes you can get refund, will receive another call with instructions. Cancelled transaction for refund

I've used WU for years primarily to assist my son who suffers from various health issues. Over the many years & countless transfers & fees I've never experienced any problems, until now. I've attempted to transfer money to my son via their online site & the transfers were cancelled without explanation. Today I went personally to an agent location & made the transfer using cash payment. Once again my son went to pick up his transferred funds only to learn that he, the receiver, has been suspended & can no longer receive transfers. I called the customer service department & after several minutes of listening to ads attempting to get me to purchase from different groups I was forwarded to an agent only to learn my son access to receive transfers has been suspended. I, like others, was given an email address to contact & give information to & hopefully have the suspension lifted. How a company that I've used for years to assist in supporting my son can suspend his receiving transfers without a reason or alerting either of us is beyond me. Mind you that all transfers are within the US and have been made to the same person, my son, at the same location for years. This infuriates me as I know how desperately my son needs the assistance I send him regularly. After reading other complaints posted with the same issues my hopes for getting his suspension lifted via the email address given are very doubtful. Sad that you use a company for years on a regular basis only to learn that your receiver is suspended without reason or merit.
