Waffle House Discrimination

I am an employee at Waffle House 1916 off exit 19 in Canton GA. I have been working with Waffle House since 2016 and have been recently concerned about fair treatment at the store I work at. I have never talked with or emailed anyone at corporate and not sure what this intel’s. At our store they are no longer going by “Waffle House “ way. Not using FY23 OP13 company book, on many occasions certain associates are choosing their own sections and I am told by management where I will be after they have decided. Dress code is not being followed yet I get reprimanded if I’m not wearing a tie and I go to the car to get it because I had forgotten it. While other associates are wearing leggings, crocks, no tie, and dirty wrinkled unkempt shirts. I have been so very happy with my opportunity I have been given by Waffle House and have always been treated more than fair by Herve and Brent, also by many district managers. I hate to see our store go down hill like this! We are loosing regulars and they have complained to me as well as other management about the many problems. Food is being called wrong by expeditor (manager) which is making it longer to get food and it is most of the time having to be remade. Please help me save our location from loosing loyal customers and associates.

Desired outcome: I realize I’m more than 20 years older than most people I work with but I would like to be treated as an equal.

Waffle House Server was not fairly terminated

I was terminated Tuesday night for doing to go orders only. My name is Sylvia Dunn one of the best workers at the location in Gonzales Louisiana store number 98. I come to work on time and do my job and everyone else job. Tuesday I ended up at the hospital for stomach pains and wasn't supposed to work that day,but I still showed up. It was after 8 p.m when I started doing to go orders. I started feeling bad so that was the reason that night for me to make a decision. The mgr Delloid had been picking with me for the last few days. I'm not understanding why because I don't bother anyone. First shift would leave work without doing there job and I have present to both Jared ( District manager) and Delloid the store mgr. There are a lot of things in that store that isn't right and the things that are occuring nothing has been done about. There's a young lady on 3rd shift that is adding tips to customers Credit cards and she hasn't been terminated yet and this has been going on for months now. That store has employees stealing time and the mgr adding on 50-100 dollars on 1st shift to go orders bonus sheet. On employee as a server gets 600 dollars a week just to show up and do nothing. You have employees clock in and go back outside. Employees keeping up mess and not finishing their job. Employees and mgr sexual activity with each other. New employees under pricing tickets are still employed. This store needs to be investigated. There supposed to be confidential information that should not be shared with employees Server Dannie is a problem in the store making decisions on who work on their shifts. Dannie should not have say over anyone's schedule. She comes in late and that's on with management. Illegal activity has been going on and nothing has been done about it. I even talked to Charlie he just tell the mgr Delloid and still nothing has been done. I have not been written up for anything and the first thing that I do I get fired for it. Drug activity is also another thing that has been going on with this store. The board of health department need to show up because it's unsafe and filthy. Mgr never shows back up to change the drawer it's always myself or another employee. So when there aren't any employees showing up on time we are stuck at the store waiting for the next shift. In my case I was not fairly terminated and I need someone to look into this matter. Thank you Sylvia Dunn.

Waffle House Service

Store #2185 around 6:20 on 5/16/2023

Went to sit down in one of the 3 back tables and the waitress said we had to sit up front. There was one table available, people on both sides and there was an unruly child. Since I did not want to sit there, we left. Won't be back for a while.

Also, about a month ago at the WH on Lakes and Riverside, around 10:30 pm was one of the worst meals we have ever had. How hard is it to mess-up a grilled cheese plate and a BLT wheat plate? Well, they did.

Sorry-won't be back for a while.

So I come up with my daughter and bought two all star meals I came home and when my daughter started on her waffle she took a small bite and started to choke and so I pulled out the little bite she had then I looked at the waffle an sewn it was a whole bottle cap melted in her waffle. Waffle House Store#263 Redbank TN.

On May 7 -2023 about 10:30 store #263 I stopped for breakfast ordered 2 over med. bacon med well-double hash browns double chunked I got single hash browns no chunks. the man that was cooking the bacon didn't have any gloves on and handling the without gloves this isn't the first he was cooking bacon without gloves but anyway Ashley helped me have a better day so Brittany

Waffle House Service denied

Good afternoon .My name is Marta .I went to a Waffle House on 3916 Flat Shoals Parkway Decatur Ga 30034 on May 6,2023.I went inside with my daughter to order waffle to go .I was told that I can’t order my food to go .I asked why I can’t take my food .The employee told me to step aside ,she took another customer then made me wait.I asked to speak to a manager .Some lady came out and say no without explaining me why I can’t order my food and go.When I was in the line another customer walk in and picked up his order .There was another lady in the line and said that she hasn’t hear such I thing that you are denied to take your own food out.The website stated take out ,dine in .The staff was rude and I feel like we were discriminated.Nobody can make me stay if I don’t want to .If I want to order my food and take with me this is my right .Please contact me on [edited].

Waffle House Servers

Ok, this is my 2nd email to y'all and a phone call! Y'all sent me a couple which I don't care about and a letter apologizing. I'm I'm Vicksburg, Ms. The storeibbibly is S. Frontage Rd. First, I've been coming here since store was built!. My wife and I (before she passed) came here 2-3times a week. The manager, Melvin is curious, good cook and always friendly but, unfortunately he has a couple of manipulating, devious and self-serving servers! They are ugly and rude to the white employees and very over serving to black. (I am not racist as I have a mixed family). I and others have watched them also railroad the manager horribly! They as I speak are talking out load to a cussing guy sitting by juke box about "pulling upon some girl and getting her! Really? On a busy Saturday, out loud? The other huge deal to me as they both continue to park in handicap (both in 20/30s) so their friends see they're working! Elderly and handicapped people struggling to walk on the up hill regular parking! I sent a pic before and complained because of watch an elderly cancer patient struggling to get in building! I also have heard the girl named Lexi say,"Melvin (manager) paint touch her job! She has been here 8 yrs (?) and has clout at corporate! I believe he believes his hands are tied! He runs a good crew otherwise! I ha e complained to the area manager that's in here cooking sometimes but, lol... He just says "oh, ok" these girls, Lexi and Rachel are evil! The white girls (I believe) have girlfriends yet I've heard these 2 girls accused them of sleeping with male customers because they have a lot of regular customers... Please look into this! The manager is good and I don't want to cause him an issue but, now days, people are scared to speak up! The parking issue is sad! Just these 2 girls do it, and I'm sick of it enough to start reporting to channel 3 and 12 and our local newsreel! If this is what waffle house has become, then you all deserve to be losing the business that walks out the door for all the loud cussing and ghetto talk! Please do something! Thanks, Mark

Waffle House Mistaken identity

On April 6,2023 myself and 3 other ladies drove to the Waffle House to eat breakfast around 11am. No tables were cleaned so we sat in the chairs by the door. After 30 minutes or more of waiting the manager came over to us to tell us 1 or 2 people in our party was told not to come back to Waffle House again which wasn't true. The manager then told us he could not serve us and we had to leave. We got up and left. One lady with us is disabled and she is having a hard time dealing with this Incident. As well as the other ladies in the group. We were disrespected and humiliated by all this. None of us have ever been asked to leave any establishment.

Waffle House Service

Today 04/09/2033, I went to order a Togo coffee and ask the manager to ask his server, Jae/Jay, if she could please not return to my restaurant next door, Buffalo Wild Wings. The server, Jae, who was very rude to begin when she was in my restaurant, proceeded to yell across the restaurant call me a “[censored]” though there were no words exchanged between her and I at the time. After leaving the restaurant, the UM was notified of what had happened.

Desired outcome: Considering I was a server at waffle house for the past 12 years, she needs to be terminated as a server that type of behavior and name-calling should not be tolerated.

Upon first walking into the restaurant every table was just about full of dirty dishes. One other table beside ours was occupied. We ordered our food I ordered a patty melt plate and an ice tea. Their other person ordered a hamburger and root beer. My toast bacon and burgers were burnt. I sent them back. I got my order back it was done so I could eat. We never got asked to get our drinks refilled or if our food was good.

Waffle House Store manager

I am parent of employee that works at store.. My daughter is a minor and was sent home seven days on suspension.. No paper work was giving nor really reason. I will definitely be in touch with head office. Store manager wouldn't give reason nor speak with me and called district manager to store to speak with me and he had little to any knowledge what was going on. Employees that was there in store was very rude and could tell they new more than my child did about her suspension.. My child is a minor and plenty days are left in store after hours and should not. Plus plenty unlawful actives are taking place at location

Waffle House Horribly made food
