TracFone Wireless iPhone SE

I bought my phone from Tracfone October 2021 outright at full price.

They were supposed to unlock my phone after 60 days but did not.

Said I had to wait for one year. I did that but now when I requested a carrier unlock, they tell me My phone is unregistered and it’s not in the system

even though I have autopay with proof from my bank acct.

They are giving me the runaround..

Desired outcome: I just want my phone unlocked

TracFone Wireless Received an opened box-order [protected] placed on website

I ordered a NEW iphone 11 on [protected] . it shipped on 3-20-23 and I received it 2 days later. I made sure that it was NEW, not refurbished through CHAT when I ordered it. When it came , the box was not sealed. there was no sim card and no Red Activation card in the box. The phone was packed very poor.

I have contacted Customer Care and Customer Service and can get no Satisfaction . I use Chat because I am hard of hearing. I had my daughter come out and talk to Customer Service . She could understand them. the customer service person told me to go to Walmart and buy a sim card and that would work. I did that. It did not work. Back to Calling Customer Service and they were no help at all. I finally just gave up. I am returning the phone , but I also bought 1 year of service with the phone. Since all this is your fault , can I get credit for the 1 year of service that I fpaid for since your customer service is so poor and cannot get anything solved thur them because they dont have a clue.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a return call or email from someone who can solve the prob. lem. My wife has a tracfone. phone [protected]. Can you transfer the 1 year of service that I purchased to her phone number>

I bought a cell phone from Email sent to me by Trackfone unable to buy extra warranty (thought maybe I had to wait to buy when turned on). The phone was advertised as NEW received phone in generic white box not in store Motorola box seemed odd . Still tried again to buy warranty several diff. times and was and keep on being told phone NOT Eligible. Why was it really a reconditioned phone. 2 weeks in slips out of jacket pocket cracks screen but still works fine. 4 weeks later unplug in morning and black screen even with help from customer service unable to get screen working sill says hello moto and preset alarm goes off but no screen . After fighting with them and a few failed email airbill attempts get them to mail a airbill via UPS arrived Mon, Feb. 6th 2023 mailed back next day received by then Feb. 9th at La Vergne Tn. warehouse at 9:43am inside delivery. Have fought with you ever since now being advertised as new phone I'm sure it has a warranty longer than 6 weeks even had 2 calls from so called corporate customer service promising things that never happened. First ticket # [protected] and 2nd ticket #[protected] given by Rammel . You have basically stolen my cell Phone

TracFone Wireless Costumer Service

Tracfone has the rudest customer service [protected]) that i have ever had in my 40 years of doing business with home phone and cell phone companies. A Male customer service rep. at 4:44 pm Eastern on 3-17-23, thinks his feelings are more important than maintaining my business. He was extremely rude by not understanding my situation as I did not have email access for security code and hanging up on me when i got upset, very very unprofessionalism. Now Im an ex-paying customer due to his unprofessionalism. Hope Tracfone upper manager / cooperate takes notice of my complaint and takes care of the extremely rude male customer service feelings first, not the paying customers. While at the same time I will spread the words to others around not to do business with Tracfone.

The fact that Tracfone has marked this complaint 'RESOLVED' due to inactivity. As the customer stated in their complaint, they were not satisfied with the service and chose to take their business to another carrier, which would no doubt cause their account to become "inactive".

I'm sure I am far from being the only one filing a complaint on this site, that was upset by the fact that Tracfone considers this complaint "Resolved" due to inactivity. Clearly this only confirms what people are complaining about.

At 62 years old of which I spent over 40 of those years maintaining a highly successful career as an insurance agent. I attribute my success to doing the one thing that Tracfone is simply not doing, or even attempting to do, which is listening to their customers problem and then actually working with them to help resolve their problem. Instead it seems to be a common occurrence for Tracfone's customer service people to simply disconnect the call. As a result, their problem did not get resolved and now the customer is only more upset, as they now have to call back and start over again.

My husband and I have paying for our cell phone service through Tracfone for over 15 years, I can honestly say that more times than not, when I'm speaking with Tracfone they disconnect the call. It happened 3 times yesterday. Which is how I ended up on this site. I wanted to see if other customers were having the same or similar problems I had been experiencing with Tracfone and discovered I am clearly not alone.

After researching consumer complaints for Tracfone on numerous consumer complaint web sites, the only thing positive I can say about the customer service they provide is, well, it made me feel a little better anyway, I was just glad that this wasn't only happening to me. I was starting to take it personally because, despite the fact that I am always polite and if I find myself starting to become upset, I will tell the CSR that I am speaking with, that I am not upset with them personally and that I realize they are just following the rules they were instructed to follow. However, as we all know, there are often times that exceptions need to be allowed in order to do what is right and in order to resolve the problem, which in turn satisfies the customer.

But having said that, I have come to the obvious conclusion that Tracfone "DOES NOT CARE ABOUT IT'S CUSTOMERS". One obvious example of this, every response to the complaints on this website says the same thing. That's because they are using the same prefabricated letter to respond to the complaints, in order to avoid getting a bad score for not responding. However, in terms of actually trying to help their customers resolve their problem, it is basically the same thing as ignoring their customers. I can honestly say that that the service Tracfone provides for it's customers, is certainly not meant to help customers actually resole the problem and for this reason, If you can get a better deal for your coverage, I WOULD AVOID TRACFONE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! THE ABSOLUTE WORST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED! SIMPLY PUT, THEY DON'T CARE!

TracFone Wireless TracFone advertises it now handles ESIM phones

Tracfone advertises it now can do phones that now do not have sim cards (ESIM). I have spent two days with them trying to change my iPhone 12 Pro Max that wase with them to iPhone 14 Pro Max. Well, they could not do it. Even the phone dealer could not do it. This really upsets me because I now have a over a $1000.00 phone that I cannot use and can't use it. Thanks a lot TracFone. When my year contract ends it will not be renewed. I was a customer of yours for over 10 years.

ths is NOT ex cellent service. All you told me was to call customer service or chat which ignores that I already spoke probably to over One Dozen people or more and nobody has helped. Then I wrote you privately and said I wanted someone with authority to call me at my home phone and gave you the phone number,. you wrote and asked and I had already given it to you and you did not bother to read it so I sent it again,. still NO phone call with anyone I spoke to. Then you wrote you or they would call me 5PM the other day. 5PM comes I rush home and nothing more than a Robo call from the call center, person picks up and Cuts Me OFF and never calls back. this is third time a scheduled call that nobody bothers to talk to me, it gets cut off, either someone picks up and cuts off and does not call back or I start to speak to someone, they disconnect me and Never Call back. it. this is in addition to the othe r probably dozen calls I have made and spken to ill informed people. You write on here to make it appear you care, I have found not a single person at tracfone has cared to fix the issue, understand it, get expertise to solve it, nobody which is why I need to make complaint to attorney generals office consumer affairs as nobody with any expertise will call me to straighten this out and you dropped the ball Alex by farming me to a robo call at 5PM the other day and it cutting me off and NOT bothering to have anyone call me back. Tracfone has to be the worst customer service I have ever exp. and I am a senior citizen. never a person in management with any know how calls to fix this. they sure have people to double bill me three times though. TracFone Wireless Tracphone

Ordered a device. It came in broken returned as directed. Waited five business days did not receive the phone waited another five business days and still did not receive the replacement. Phone asked for a refund stay said it would be processed within one billing cycle of my credit card waited the 28 days billing cycle called them back and they said from the date of purchase it was more than 30 days so they cannot refund my money.

Desired outcome: I would like my money back from the purchase of the phone

I did so much better today. I called TracFone to find out where my phone was. They got upset with me and they terminated my service on my phone took me 2 1/2 hours to get service back and then they only gave me 1 quart of what I had. Thank you very much TracFone.

Yes, I have called many times over the last three months and I’ve kept getting told that I will have to wait 3 to 5 business days. It’s been well over 3 to 5 business days and I’m still waiting. Once again I called today and they told me I have to wait 3 to 5 business days. at this point, I am getting extremely frustrated with TracFone they charge me $100 for a phone that did not work and I’m still waiting for the replacement. I’ve only had the phone like one hour before it was sent back. is there anyone a TracFone possibly back and help me resolve this issue?

TracFone Wireless Tracfone online payments

I logged into my account to refill my plan for the $199 for the year. When I got to the payment options it has PayPal as an option, so I clicked paypal and the Paypal response was that it was paid through Paypal. But the tracfone online payment page was grayed out and had a green spinning circle and didn't finalize the transaction.

I contacted an agent on the phone and she told me that tracfone doesn't take paypal payments! So why is that option on the payment page? I was reluctant to go back and try again because Paypal said it was completed, but the agent assured me that it wouldn't go through Paypal. I then went back into tracfone online payment to do it again and use my debit card, but again I got the spinning circle and finally a message that said "something went wrong".

Now I have to go through thid for the 3rd time with the agent to process the renewal with her on the phone.

YOUR ONLINE PAYMENT PAGE IS ANYTHING BUT USER FRIENDLY!

Please take the unusable options for payment off to eliminate this chaos.

TracFone Wireless Tech support / customer support

I have been try to do the sim card migration for almost 2 weeks. I have called many times without resolution. I asked to speak with a manager and the rep said that wasn't possible. I asked for name and rep number and was hung on. I called again immediately and the next rep left me on hold for 30 minutes. Reps refused to read back numbers I was providing to confirm accuracy.

Desired outcome: Resume practice of repeating sim and imei numbers to confirm accurate communication. Develop method of keeping history of customer service and tech support interaction to discipline and retrain reps to provide satisfactory service.

TracFone Wireless Nothing but billing screw ups with my phone from tracfone

had tracfone for around 8 years or so, uneventful and no real issues but a year agow hen I got a notice my current phone was not compatible with their new system i had to get a new phone. They sent me a cheap replacement not remotely as nice as phone I had to give up and it broke quickly, around two months. I called mfg they could not fix, and tracfone cold not fix but they had NO other phone to replace it with. I elected then to buy at my own expense a new phone with a 365 dayh plan and 1200 minutes. My auto renewal was disabled to accomodate the new tracfone with a built in plan. i paid someone to set it up etc. Tracfone continuously AUTO renewed my yearly plan even though I already paid for a year with this new phone and then had to go back and refund. They keep TURNING OFF MY SERVICE sayign I got a refund even though the refund was due to theie incorrect auto renew. In january of 2022 they billed my mastercard TWICE for exact service, had to go back and credit it after I caught it. they promised they disabled the auto renewl but did not. this year 2023 again they auto renewed even though I paid for a new phone with a year plan. yesterday yet again they cut off service with no warning or email nothing. I spent FIVE HOURS with various people at tracfone, in order to restore service each agent ill informed repeating things not accurate and not understanding the facts. I had no dinner, no nothing all into 8PM on phone only to day to se they have it ending again today still wrong on my account. they screwed me out of correct end time, the auto renrewed a year I already paid for, they penalized me for having to go back and refund account not once but THREE TIMES cutting off my service in the last year for their own mistakes. you can not get the same person twice or anyone who cares to fix the glitch that is causing this. Even speaking to corporate was a joke. guy would not supply a name or any contact info and also seemed ill informed and disinterested and zoning out as I was speaking on occasion. I am fed up and feel attorney generals office may be what I need to do if they cut off my service again when I am paid for an entire year. I am tired of this being my full tim job and inept people without proper skill not fixing the problem. nobody ever follows thru to see it is fixed right once and for all or listens to all the issues. I have my credit card statements with the double billings and transactions numbers to supply so nobody can say I am exadurating in any way, they just cant get it right. fed up senior citizen who does not deserve this nightmare. i would not have replaced the phone had it not been for the fact their network changed and the phone they gave me failed in two months. I dont deserve this aggravation that never ends.

TracFone Wireless Tracfone service on a safelink free phone program.

I am furious and sick and tired of being pushed around and ignored by tracfone. I got a new phone from safelink 3 weeks ago and i still don't have a phone. I am 88 years old and you guys keep telling me that someone will call me back and nobody ever does. I have used chat 4 times, called 8 times and sent messages by email 2 times... Nobody is making sure my account is straighten out and that i have a phone. This is my last attempt to reach out to you, if i don't have a phone by tomorrow 9 am - i am calling the fcc, bbb all social media i can get hold of and tell them what you are doing to me.

TracFone Wireless No signal on either of two phones

Over the last three days I have been spending hours trying to resolve no signal issues. Hours on chat, hours on phone. All they did was have me repeat over and over the same procedures. I took one of the phones out in my car and discovered that TF coverage has become extremely spotty in my area, and realized the phone actually worked if it had signal. They claimed all towers were fine in my area, which obviously is not true. They continued to do the same procedures again and again. I tried to escalate and did (maybe) get a ticket number, however I am unable to use the ticket function on their website.

I must say that I was always very satisfied with everything about this company, but of late they have become next to worthless. I would really like to have this resolved but I have given up and can't waste any more time dealing with their representatives.

Desired outcome: Resolve the issues without making ME jump through any more hoops. I will then be satisfied and will stay with Tracfone as I do like their service plans.

TracFone Wireless Tracfone service plan

I have been purchasing Trac phones from HSN for over 2 years that have a service plan already connected to the phone 1500 min and data. Each time I register the phone online with Trac phone wireless, I have never had a problem keeping my phone and buying TracFone plans after my HNS service plan runs out. However, all this past week from Monday February 27- Thursday March 2nd, I tried getting my balance information online and my phone number was not registered. Also, I received emails from someone in customer support trying to twist my arm to purchase a new phone or else my services would be discontinued when my HSN plan runs out. Is this type of rough selling tactics now allowed with Tracfone. I contacted HNS and told them about this problem. I am no longer ordering Tracfones in the future thru HNS or Trac phone directly.

Desired outcome: I charged a new plan on my Capital One credit card on Saturday March 4th and added auto-pay. I did not receive a confirmation of this charge

I also have been constantly double billed by trac fone who refuses to recognize a new phone form HSN with a 365 day plan I paid for BECAUSE trac fone changed their network and old phone wa s no longer compatible. still they auto renew a year plan on top o fthat they have to later refund it off and then discontinue service THREE TIMES already. i have to spend FIVE HOURS at times to get any perso to competantly restore service only to have it happen again. My account does not properly reflect the newest phone and this keeps happening after EIGHT YEARS or so with tracfone this is inexcusable. Inept people to deal with who do not have the expertise to resolve this time after time. fed up with TWO charges on my charge card two times in a row, have to call for refund and then they DISCONTINUE service due to refund they needed to do since I was double billed. they have robbed me of a plan prior I had paid for thru January becuase their phone they gave me broke and I had to buy a new one. I am fed up and making complaint to the state if it is not resolvd. no excuse for this cutting off service when I just paid for a 365 day plan with a new phone from HSN due to their incompetency of giving me a replacement phone that broke a few months after I got it. worst service ever

TracFone Wireless I brought this phone at Walmart, it should have been a new phone.

I brought a TracFone wireless and it had apps on it when I put in my code or password, and It locked up and before it locked up when I would put the correct password in it, it would say it was an in availed password, and I call support and the agents I talk with hang up on me three times, when that had told they could fix the problem, so I call the fourth time this time I got a young lady and she work with trying to help she told me that the phone was locked and that she would send me a new phone and she gave me a code and that code would come along with the new phone and that all I needed to do was mail the old phone back so I agreed, that was 2/24/2023 I have not received a phone as of yet, today is March 3,2023, she said it would take two to three business days for me to receive the phone. what is this world coming that employees have to lie to the customers to save face for the companies they work for?

Desired outcome: would like to be sent a phone that works I spent, my hard-earned money on a phone I had for less than three weeks

TracFone Wireless Customer care representatives

I spoke with 3 service reps, tried the autonated service 2, and even spoke with a manager with customer care. All I wanteded was to activste my phone (both card and phone are trac phone) and have my old phone number back. I was on the phone with the first woman for 45 mins, she activsted my phone and told me she had assigned my old number to me. I called with that phone to a phone I had access to to find out that the new phone was not my old number. The next rep deactivated my phone number and assigned me a new number I thought. Was on the line with her for another 45 mins. For her to do the same thing the othrr lady had done, and to make me late for work due to her saying "im in the processbof completing it as we speak. Just ten more minutrs. They all kept saying. So after I got off work I tried to call my husband with my less than 24 hour old new phone and added service time card, but my call put me thru to calling the customer care. 3 times. So I let it go thru. Then the next rep I talked to handled it alittle better. He said he was putting me thru to a manager. I spoke to him and told him what was going on and and when I finished explaining he hung up in my face.

I paid for, and it was confirmed by Tracphone that I received, an additional 365 days of service late February 28th. Early the following morning I discovered that I had no service. I spent over 1/2 hour on the phone trying to contact a service rep. When I did, he tried to restore my service to no avail and advised that he would contact Corporate Headquarters about the issue. He said they'd call me in two hours -- which they did. Corporate attempted to resolve the issue and then advised that it was fixed, but it would be an additional two hours before service was actually restored. They said I was to shut off the phone and then turn it back on at the end of the two-hour period to get the restored service and that they would call then to confirm it. Two hours later -- no call -- no service. I got back on the phone and sat for another half hour listening to the repetitive message that I was an important customer. When I FINALLY reached a live human being, he advised that they had issues and I would be transferred to Corporate Headquarters. I asked if this meant that I would immediately be speaking to a live human, or waiting another half hour. "No," he said that I'd be connected immediately. Then he hung up on me! Tracphone has charged me for service that I do not have!

TracFone Wireless trac phone

I have contacted trac phone every day for the last 20 days over a new phone that did not work. I have been lied to, hung up on put on hold and left there told not to call back! I was told the new phone shipped i was told the new phone was delivered I was told they did not have any of those phones was told yesterday I would have it in 72 hrs. I have asked many times to speak with tthe supervisor they told me the were the boss This is the worst company I ever dealt

with Now I wait?

Desired outcome: I would like a new phone that works You dont understand what happens when a heart failure patient cant make calls

TracFone Wireless Being billed for time on a TracFone that is lost.

When our cell phone was lost, we contacted TracFone to cancel our service,, but they could not send us a code to verify who we are because our email is changed and we can't access the old address. We have been billed for a year's time for a cell phone we no longer have. We had to purchase a new TracFone, with a new number.

The old cell phone number is [protected]. S/N 008LVPY2194688

Desired outcome: Please refund and deactivate the old phone so we will not continue to be charged for it.

TracFone Wireless Nokia 2760 Flip

I had the LG 236C with no problems. That phone was a 3G, it is no longer usable. I purchased a Tracfone Nokia 2760 Flip on Jan 20, 2023 from Best Buy, $20.00. I called to get my phone number and minutes transferred to the new phone. The plan charge of $99.99 was to be put on my credit card. I discovered that my credit card was never charged. On Feb 9, 2023 I purchased a refill card for $99.99. I went on line and submitted the pin number. It is not working, I can not make any calls or receive. It is giving me the error message of call failed, call limit has been reached. I have spent at least over 5 hours on the phone with you to get this corrected. I would like to have a phone that works, and keep my number plus the minutes that I just purchased. ($99.00) I think this phone is defective. Check your call log to verify.

This was never resolved! One time when I called, I talked to upper management, he had me do all kinds of adjustments and told me to hang up for fifteen minutes. He stated after fifteen minutes my phone would work, which it did not. I have wasted allot of time and money, $125.00. Phone cost $25.00 minutes cost $100.00. This phone is going in the trash! I do not recommend TracFone!

My Husband's phone is due to be renewed soon. He will not renew.

TracFone Wireless New phone kept locking up and not working

I have new flip phone it was bought berfore xmas it keep locking up and not working. I call service yjey got it working once then it kept freezing up called back ladies told me she would send me a new phone. couple day later got a envolope to send [honr back I did and sent back keep calling and cant get ansewer as to where my phone is. I would have not refilled service if I new after all the years I have had trac phone they where going to jerk me around. I am a heart failure patient I need my an right know dont have one this is bull#&^%

Alex is a machine that does not care about you. I Have made a lot of phone call I have chatted with every one that works there some tell me one thing next one tells me something else This company has screwed me over today I was told I would have the phone in 72 hrs Please stay tuned for the next adventures of Trac phone Crap

I bought new phone before xmas it has been crap from day one. It locked up frozen nothing worked call service they un locked it for about 5 minutes

Call again was told they were sending me a new phone Waited got a rerturn tag sent it back still no new phone I have called every day and told something differnt every day I was told it shipped I was told it was delivered I was told they dont have any This company is full of liers the dont no what up or dowm nif I did not have a one year plan I would go some where else d

TracFone Wireless unable to use my cellphone to make or receive calls

was just speaking with Maria ...i was told by the last cust.rep that i was all set up in system and all he needed was my pin# which i didn.t have at the time.He set me up for automatic call back which was Maria who called .she started by asking me all the same questions and walk-thru that the previous rep did.there were many steps to get to that point and all he needed was pin #.was disappointed i had to go thru all over again as i am not familiar w/my phone or computer usage.she was in my opinion very rude and kept saying she is only asking because the machine said so and she was tired of "you guys" which she voiced more than once! i told her i was not you guys and did not want to cont w/her.been w/out my phone for 2 weeks,issue still not resolved.

Desired outcome: i would appreciate a response and my problem resolved please.
