Norton automaic renewal of antivirus perscription

I cancelled my automatic renewal for Norton a few months back, I even had an email confirmation from them after to say they won’t take money when my subscription expired.

I just received an email today saying they have tried to take money out of my account. Luckily I’ve changed by back details since then, but clearly there’s something really wrong here.

Desired outcome: stop stealing money from people.

Norton reoccuring bill from a cancellation 3 yrs ago

On Feb. 22 I recieved a bill stating Norton was taking 550 dollars out of my bank acct. I contacted them to resolve situation and they asked me to download anytime app in order to connect computers to Norton to refund money. Then they threatened me, I felt, with fact they had my computer on their screen, etc., about getting the refund. There should have never been a reocurring bill when I cancelled. That is a form of fraiud & theft, I feel.

Norton Renewal fraud

I paid to renew and Norton keeps wanting me to pay it again. Bait and switch business practice. I called 2 times and I was told it was fixed but Today I got another request to renew or my subscription would be ended.

Norton Norton refusing to refund on the service within the cancellation perion

27th January 2022 £84.99 was debited from my credit card account, more than 1 month before the expiry date of 3rd March, 2022.

I logged on Norton to cancel the service at 08:10am on 1st February. £84.99 was debited from my credit card account for the service beginning from 3 March 2022 to 3 March 2023. It is absurd. I never use the anti-virus service on and after 1st February 2022. Why do I have to pay for the service that I never use?

Desired outcome: Refund of £84.99 to my HSBC(UK) credit card account.

this sounds more like a issue with your card than Norton.

from what your saying

1. unknown subscription ended on Jan 27th

2. your subscription ends on march 3rd

3. you canceled one of the 2 services [I'm guessing the one ending on march 3rd.] but the mystery service on your card is still active to renew each month.

what i suggest is talking civilly with Norton and ask them calmly what accounts have your card on it and to kindly cancel them due to it being credit card fraud [unless this is an old account you forgot you had]. this should have their fraud department investigate this and contact you directly to confirm the mystery account.

Norton Credit repair and computer service

IN Sept 18, 2021 I was charged $489 for 3 years of computer protection. Then I am being charged for Computer protection for 3years again on 1/26/22. My attempted phone call today was by a non-US citizen who could effectively communicate the English language. Complaint number 1) Hire people who can speak and understand English. Sorry but this is critical. 2) The person could not understand why I was calling when I explained I was asking why I was being charged. I never really signed up with Norton but they bought out life Lock. 3) When I complained that my son had his social security card stolen and had his gaming site hacked Norton or Life lock did NOTHING! to Help! NOTHING! NOTHING! We told them the problems we were having with Social Security administration and they said there was nothing they could do! they also won't help with my son's credit being hacked on Sony PlayStation gaming. I need help and your organization is suppose to provide this type of help!

Desired outcome: Either return my initial Funds now totaling my original payment and my Sept 18 payment plus interest or fix the problem!

Norton Norton anti-virus protection

1/18/22 I recently discovered that Norton has been billing me for their on-line service since 2011. I caught them because the credit card they had been using went dead. The bank sold out to another bank so my card number changed. When I got my invoice from my new credit card, I noticed a charge for $114.99 which I knew I hadn't made, as the company was unfamiliar to me. I placed a fraud alert with my bank, and they caught Norton/LifeLock and charged them with frauding my account and made them give my money back. Unfortunately, they are not being cooperative about returning any of the other money they stole from me. Every time I call in, I get someone overseas, and all I get is a run-around. I have been told everything from, "We will put the money from last month back onto your card" to "We have already refunded all your money and the check has been sent", to "We have processed five refunds for you, one for $99.99, one for 104.99, two for 109.99, and the last one for $114.99. The rep claimed she had no idea why it was taking the billing department so long to process my refunds. Originally, I called in to report this issue on November 16, 2021. When I called to check on the progress of my refund on January 14th, 2022, (previously they'd said I would receive a check in 4-6 weeks from the date I reported the problem) and when I said it had been 8 weeks, I was told to wait another week and call back. A rep in the support dept informed me that my claims check was sent out by Paul on November 17th, 2021, but I that was a lie because Paul took my complaint on November 16th, 2021 and he told me it would be at least 4 weeks to get my check. I have been told my refund check would be $314.97, and another rep said it would be $537.95. What I find so disconcerting is that this is supposed to be a security company and now that they are teamed up with LifeLock and now they have total access to countless credit cards. If they were able to dig up three different card numbers in order to keep billing my account without my permission or knowledge, there's no telling who else they are stealing from! My bank found that Norton had committed fraud and they forced Norton to return the $114.99 to my new credit card, but the 109.99 that one supervisor insisted he was going to have to return to the old card (which no longer existed) made no sense. If a company tries to put money back on a dead card, I'm sure they get the money back, and I'm sure they know that. Every single time I have called I have reached a rep from overseas. I am always told that they work from"an international platform" and they can't put me through to the United States. And getting a supervisor is nearly impossible. Not that they are very helpful when you do get one. The reps often pretend there is no supervisor, or they put you on hold and conveniently forget about you, or they just hang upon you. The customer service is non-existant and the company is an absolute rip-off. I am concerned because now that they have teamed up with Lifelock, it gives them unlimited access to every customer's credit cards. They managed to bill to several of my credit cards that I did not provide to them, so I can only imagine what fun they must be having now that they are teamed up with a company that they can just dip into anytime they need to find another credit card to bill to.

Desired outcome: I want my money back. They promised to return 109.99 to my old card which doesn't exist anymore, so they can't put it back on the card. I calculate they owe me a check for at least $424.96.

Norton Norton internet security anti viral program

I have paid double for several years for service, I finally was able to contact a Representative, I paid $132.49, June 10, 2021, again I was billed 111.29 10/28/2021, which was refunded. Of course, the Representative could not refund any prior years errors, so he refunded the least amount. no surprise there. Now I am getting notice that my account has expired. Wrong answer, I just paid $132.49 I June 2021. Somehow Norton had 2 accounts in my name, no one able to explain how that happened.
I want this corrected

Norton suspicious behavior

My issues have been going on for weeks and I have had to take my valuable time to call many, many (way to many) times and i still do not have satisfaction. Here are just some of the case numbers:

I was told on 5 separate occasions that I would be called back during specific time frames. I was never called back once.

I purchased AntiTrack and it made my laptop very slow. It was addressed a couple of times to a point that it ran much better, but then the next day when i would turn on my laptop it would run extremely slow again and the AntiTrack would again disappear from my homepage. During a few of these times, a very rude and arrogant rep would try to run a "logmein" to address my issues. I could not see what he was doing and then HE HUNG UP THE CALL.

Before I continue to complain to all United States government agencies available to me, I would like an explanation. The last rep told me that AntiTrack doesn't work in many laptops. Why wasn't I told this weeks ago? Why was my time wasted? (hours and hours total time spending calling over and over).

I want my issues resolved. I want to know why the vast majority of the questions I ask the reps are not answered. They ignore them and change the subject.

Desired outcome: I should get a credit on my subscription for the hours of inconvenience for nothing. No resolution.

If i recall on the product page it has a checker or lists which computers are compatible. this appears to me [with supplied data] to be a purchase for a product that cant be used. though if im wrong and it doesnt have it listed my mistake.

Norton Software renewal

My Norton software protection runs out in 6 days time. Your offer was very expensive and tied me to another year at an even more expensive price. I instead purchased Norton De Luxe and received a software key to initiate it :-

I have tried going on to the Norton open web page - the same problem. This week 6th Dec 2021 to the 8th Dec 2021 I have had several chats with KATE on your help line - she cannot help me. I was passed on to Aditja who took over my computer with my permission and unfortunately left me hanging suggesting by message that my wifi had failed. I could find no evidence of this. The next day I contacted Jassi V she looked into my case No. [protected] and said that she had renewed for me and that I had 366 days left on my subscription. I was very pleased, but I can find no eveidence of the renewal and I am still reminded to download my renewal at the extortionate price or I will lose my cover . Norton do a good job for me and have done for several years but I am quite prepared to buy and download Mcafee and try them for a change.

Norton Norton forcing to share personal bank information with norton before activation norton 360 deluxe account.

The norton antivirus company forcing customer to share their personal bank information, I bought norton 360 deluxe from retailer she gave me box opened sealed pack box it contains product key, I tried to activate it, norton isn't letting me to activate it, they say share my personal bank information, I don't want to share with them and no option to skip this step, it sounds to me they gather our personal bank information and sells to hackers. I want to generate a complaint against this step, so someone take notice of this subject. I contacted with helpline they said share bank information why I share my personal bank information. they are forcing customer to share personal bank information.

Norton Norton lifelock

I had some fraud and I am trying to find out if I can make a claim. So far I have been in que for almost three hours, just to talk to someone on a message board, not even a phone call. That kind of service is disgusting. I am looking for help and this company doesn't care. They just take your money. They say you're position 3. Then it will say position 6. then it goes back down to 3. then it might say 2. then it goes to 6. This is ridiculous and disrespectful of a person's time. I need help, not a runaround. I am falling asleep and will probably have to give up and go to bed. What kind of a company is this? Three hours? That is the government who runs like not, it's not supposed to be a private company. ridiculous.

Re refund no [protected]
I was told i would get a refund by email on the 9 July 2021 and a cheque would arrive in 10 weeks. That has not happened. I spoke on your chat line and first of all told it was a scam even though my subscription was cancelled, by you, immediately. I was the told I would get the refund back on my card of purchase in a fortnight but needed to send the same form in again. I am attaching my new refund form and copies of the email sent.
I was bullied into purchasing this by an employee at Harvey Norman Lakehaven 2263. She said that I would be scammed immediately I turned my computer and shouldn't leave the store without Norton. The computer actually had its own protection and a free month of one as well.
She was having personal scam issues and forced her fears onto me. I have had Nortons before but do not like being coerced into a product I didn't need at the time.

Norton Norton 360 security

Norton 360 security safe search has prevented any search results showing for chrome. It does the search but displays no results. I have live chat and phone called for over 2 hours with norton support and had the run around . their answer was to turn off the security to use chrome. Why am I paying for a subscription then. They put you on hold for almost 2 hours each time.

Norton Wrong language for communication

I receive subscription & billing information and mails in Dutch, a language I have never used with Norton. I use the English version of Norton products, and I am French-speaking. Norton accounting department assumes that the only official language in Belgium is Dutch. Wrong assumption : 40% of the population (so far from a minute minority) is French-speaking, French is also an official language in Belgium and there is no obligation for citizens to master the other official language. I have complained already twice through customer support, to no avail. It seems that Norton IT developers for Norton accounting department are incapable to write a simple piece of code capturing the customer preferred language, data Norton already has for he rest of its marketing communication with me. What a failure for such a global IT service company. It is also a marketing failure, what a lack of customer-centricity. Regards.

Norton Norton back-up online technical support

I called Norton o Friday, Oct 29 and spoke with a technician named Nikhil.

I told him that I had just had a Microsoft Level 2 technician in my computer trying to fix a sign in issue and that she said she found corruption and to fix it would need to reset Windows 10 on my computer. She emphasized that I would lose all of my current files etc. and that I needed to BACK-UP everything on my computer in order to put it back into place after the reset.

I told her I was not computer tech savvy but would call NORTON since I have been a NORTON customer for 16+ years.

I told all of this to Nikhil on OCT 29...and he said "not to worry" I will back-it all up for you and then you call me back on Sunday, Oct 31 after the reset and I will put it all back into place for you onto your computer.

Sunday came and the Microsoft lady reset my computer.

Once completed I called NORTON and even again spoke with Nikhil. But now he came into my computer and stumbled around a lot and could not find my back-up as he said he would. He told me my stuff is there but that I would have to find it and restore it.

But, the back-up he kept referring to said Oct 31 and NOT Oct 29...

I think he ERRED and somehow forgot or did not back-up my stuff and now it is lost but he will not admit and is perhaps afraid to get into trouble with his company and is protecting himself.

I expressed my upsetedness and he told me he would have "level 2 technical people call me in 24 to 48 hours". NO CALL EVER CAME.

I called back in 2 days and spoke with a lady. She also came into my computer and fumbled around and could not find my stuff to put it back into place.

My stuff is Desktop Icons, Scan files, and photos, many of which I use for original artwork. NONE are present on my computer to my knowledge.

She also said "don't worry" your stuff is there. Then she also promised a telephone call from Level 2 technicians who would "resolve my issue".

Again, NO CALL FROM ANYON.

I complained to NORTON and to no avail again.

NOW, I am very upset and need to take my computer to some expert and see if they can somehow find my files and restore them and many are telling me this is not possible.

I am caught in between all because of NORTON and NORTON is not doing anything about it. NO CALLS and NO RESPONSE.

I am considering filing a lawsuit if that can get something done.

All of this after 16+ years of being a NORTON customer.

This is is inexcusable behavior and NORTON should be made to MAKE THIS RIGHT or pay the consequences.

Norton 360

I have 360 premium. I keep getting messages saying that my computer has been compromised by several sites and that I can pay £9 to fix this then £23 per year for an add-on. Also that I can pay extra to make my computer run like new again.
Obviously I want the best protection Norton can give me at the lowest price being a very long standing customer.
When I phone [protected] I am put through to India where the peiople do not speak good English and am then passed from one person to another and kept waiting with no results or even answers.
This is not good enough.
Please give me the protection I require at the best price or I will be forced to go elsewhere after 20 + years

i purchased norton 360 and hasn't been loaded on my computer, this wasw bought from currys, i installed the code they gave me and they have tried to force me into an annual subscription, and won't let me download the product

Norton Norton 30 windows

I am having issues with Norton using 100% of my CPU. I uninstalled Norton, problem went away. Re-installed same issue reappeared. My laptop has plenty of space, ram, etc. This is absolutely a problem with Norton. I tried for an hour to get someone on chat, no one ever logged in to help. VERY, disappointing. Case #[protected]
