Norton Subscription Renewal

I have received a Service Notification by post to advise me that you have been unable to contact me about the upcoming renewal of Norton 360 Standard at the email address I provided.

The renewal billing date is 04/08/23 and the subscription renewal date is 08/09/23.

I do not wish to renew my subscription but I am unable to log into my account as it was linked to an email associated with my business which has now closed.

I have spent 30 minutes on the phone to one of your agents at the number given on your notification - [protected] - at the end of which I am no further forward as your agent was unable to help me.

I do not work any more, I am 75 years old and in poor health. I apologise if I have omitted to provide you with information previously, however, you will not be able to send me a new bill and I will not be able to stop you from taking the money from my account.

Desired outcome: I want it confirmed that the renewal will not go ahead and that no payment will be taken.

Norton Pro rated refunds not given

A Norton customer since 2009, I recently got a new computer which came with McAfee installed. I no longer needed my old computer or the Norton subscription, so I called to request a pro-rated refund of my annual auto-renewed subscription fee. It renewed 81 days ago. They refused to give me any money back stating that customers only have 60 days from the date of renewal to cancel.

Desired outcome: Pro rated refund of my canceled subscription

Norton Norton

I haven't had anything to do with Norton in over 6 years. Yesterday I noticed $194.99 was taken from a bank account I never gave to Norton.

I get a email thanking me for automatic renewing a subscription. I never authorised any such thing. I had previously only used Pre Paid from the store.

I contacted my bank and spoke to the fraud team who advised that Norton have a reputation of doing this to people 3 or 4 years go bye and a all of a sudden money is stolen from your bank account. How do they get my banking details. I deliberately buy only pre paid so they cant have my bank details. Being a pensioner this really left me short on funds which has caused so much stress. As a security measure my bank has closed my account down. Norton are dodgy in their dealings. I will never ever buy another product from Norton and will advise all friends and family to be aware. NORTON WILL RIP YOU OFF.

Norton stole money from me and its been 6 years since I had last used them

Desired outcome: I would love my money back. I would love a big apology and I would like to know how my bank account details were on their files.

Norton suggested I contact customer support via chat. Norton couldn't do this for me. Norton suggest I ring the telephone support. The telephone numbers didn't want. After many hours with "Norton Customer Support" Norton did not help. Norton refused to provide a refund. Awful. Long time customer to never returning customer.

Norton Automatic Renewals

Hi

I have an online account with Norton and had packages automatically renewed today (07/07/2023 ) without prior warning. I was emailed an invoice covering the two Norton packages I have been using for one year (Norton 360 Standard and Utilities Ultimate). I wish to keep Norton 360 Standard but I want the Utilities Ultimate to be cancelled and refunded as I do not use this enough. Invoice Reference AP1473045978.

I have been trying all day to resolve this issue online but the options available on line are not user friendly. I can't resolve it by phone as I am hard of hearing.

I would also like prior warning of future renewals.

thanks

Les Penny

Desired outcome: Refund of renewal price for Utilities Ultimate and prior warning of future renewals.

Norton Disappointed with Norton's Customer Service: Lost Account and Coverage, Asked to Pay for New Account

I recently signed up with Norton and at first, everything seemed fine. However, I was shocked to find out that my account had disappeared and I had lost the 300+ days of coverage that I had left. Now, Norton is asking me to pay for a new account, which is really frustrating. I feel like they've really let me down this time.

I'm not sure what went wrong with my account, but I'm really disappointed that Norton wasn't able to help me resolve the issue. I've been a loyal customer for a while now, but this experience has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

Overall, I think Norton is a decent antivirus software, but their customer service could use some improvement. If you're thinking about signing up with them, just be aware that there may be some issues with your account and it might not be as easy to resolve as you would hope.

In conclusion, while Norton may have let me down this time, I'm still willing to give them another chance. I hope that they can work on improving their customer service and making sure that their customers are satisfied with their products and services.

Norton Norton 360 with Lifelock Review: Good Anti-Virus, But Lacking in Features and Functionality

Norton 360 with Lifelock is a program that I have been using for a while now. I have to say, it's not the best. There are a lot of things that don't work right, and it's frustrating. For example, there's no VPN, which is a big deal for me. I like to be able to browse the internet without worrying about my privacy. And who knows what else doesn't work right? It's hard to say.

The only good part of Norton 360 with Lifelock is the anti-virus program. It does a good job of keeping my computer safe from viruses and malware. But that's about it. The rest of the program is pretty useless.

When the VPN did work, it kept losing the connection. That's dangerous, to say the least. I don't want my personal information to be exposed because of a faulty VPN. It's frustrating because I'm stuck with Norton 360 with Lifelock until my license runs out. I wish I could switch to a better program, but I can't.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend Norton 360 with Lifelock. There are better programs out there that offer more features and better protection. If you're looking for a good anti-virus program, then Norton 360 with Lifelock might be a good choice. But if you want more than that, then look elsewhere.

Norton Norton Antivirus Review: Constant Popups and Annoyances

I've been using Norton for a couple of years now, ever since I stopped using Kaspersky. I was hoping for a similar experience, but unfortunately, Norton has been quite a hassle. Every five minutes, I get a popup message warning me about something else I need to buy. It's incredibly annoying and makes me feel like I'm being constantly bombarded with ads.

I've been considering switching to a different antivirus software, but I'm not sure what to use. Kaspersky was great because it did its job without me even noticing it was there. If anyone knows of any other software that works similarly, please let me know. I'm open to suggestions.

Norton Review: Norton Antivirus - A Reliable and Effective Program for Computer Safety

Norton has come a long way in recent years. I remember back in the day when I had to get rid of Norton because it wasn't reliable and didn't catch all the viruses. Plus, it was a real pain to remove the program and they would sneak it onto your computer when you downloaded something else. But now, Norton has really turned things around and I have to give them top marks.

Norton catches almost everything, except for malware, and it's very dependable. I currently use Malwarebytes (which is a fantastic program) along with Norton. Since I started using both, I haven't had a single issue. They're both constantly catching something, so I highly recommend using both.

One thing to note is that there's a difference between the free version of Malwarebytes and the Pro version. The Pro version catches malware in real-time as you surf the web, while the free version is an after-the-fact scan. So if you want the best protection, it's worth investing in the Pro version.

Overall, I'm really impressed with Norton's turnaround. They've become a reliable and effective antivirus program that I trust to keep my computer safe. If you're looking for a good antivirus program, I definitely recommend giving Norton a try.

Norton Norton: Not Worth the Hassle Anymore - A Disappointing Experience

I gotta say, I've been using Norton for almost 4 years now and it's been pretty good to me. But lately, things have been changing and not for the better. If you try to complain, they just shuffle you around to different people and leave you on hold for what feels like an eternity. And let me tell you, the call volume on my phone drops faster than a hot potato.

Just the other day, I had the FBI Virus removed and decided to get a "tune-up" for seventy bucks (I prepaid for the virus removal). But when I turned my computer back on the next morning, it took several minutes to boot up. I was like, "What the heck?" So I complained and they told me it was probably something else and I'd have to pay another fifty bucks to get it fixed. Are you kidding me? I thought they had a seven-day guarantee or something.

Honestly, when my subscription is up, I'm outta here. I'm gonna find a local tech and learn to do more myself. Norton just ain't worth the hassle anymore.

Norton Norton Review: Life Lock and VPN Causing More Problems Than Solutions

I been using Norton for a long time now, but since they added Life Lock and VPN, I been having a lot of problems. The support is not good at all. It's frustrating when you know more than the tech guy they send you, who can't fix anything without software. The VPN keeps turning off at the worst possible time, and you never know when it will happen. I'm done with this software that has me locked out of my admin account, probably because of a hack or malware. I use a lot of security and spyware detection, and I scan my computer frequently. But their solution was to blame my IP service and tell them to unblock ports 500 and 4500. That's a router issue that hasn't been a problem before. They don't listen to me because they don't seem to understand or know how to fix any other problems caused by their faulty software program. The techs are usually thousands of miles away, and I can hardly understand their accents. They told me to call a repairman for the final solution. What a joke! Norton techs had remote access, and when they were done, I had to reinstall my keyboard driver libraries and ALL my security software. Beware, the software used to be trouble-free, but not anymore. I would appreciate it if someone could suggest a better VPN and virus program. I've tried a few, but they haven't worked out. Thanks.

Norton Mixed feelings about Norton's customer service after computer hack

I've been using Norton for years now and I've never had any problems with it until recently. My computer got hacked and Norton didn't even notice it, I had to find out myself. I was really upset and didn't know what to do, so I called Norton's customer service. They told me they could take care of it for a fee of $300.00, which was a lot of money for me. I was really struggling financially and couldn't afford to pay that much. I tried to hide my tears, but the customer service representative could tell that I was upset. He asked me for another credit card number because the first one was rejected. I was really embarrassed and didn't want to tell him that I didn't have another credit card. I thought I was out of luck, but then he surprised me by offering to take care of it for $100.00 now and $100.00 over the next two months. I was so relieved and grateful that I started crying even more. He took care of the hacker and I haven't had any problems since then. I'm really glad that he was able to help me out, otherwise I would have given Norton a much lower rating.

I do have to say that I was disappointed with Norton's response to my computer being hacked. They claim to protect your computer from attacks, but when it actually happens, they charge you a ridiculous fee to fix it. It seems kind of sleazy to me. However, I'm still using Norton because I haven't had any other problems and I like the peace of mind that comes with having antivirus software. Overall, I would recommend Norton to others, but just be aware that their customer service might not be as helpful as you would hope in the event of an attack.

Norton Beware of Fake Norton Technicians: A Cautionary Tale

I had a bit of a scare with my Norton Anti-Virus subscription recently. I was away on a trip for five days and knew I had 23 days left on my subscription when I left. When I returned and tried to access my computer, I was met with a pop-up warning me that my computer was not safe to use due to the Zeus Malware virus. I was surprised because I thought I still had a few days left on my subscription. I tried to go to the Norton.com site, but I couldn't access it due to the virus.

To be safe, I went to an office supply store and purchased a Norton Security Premium package. After installing the product key, a fake Norton website popped up (I didn't realize it was fake at the time) telling me that my product key was successful, but there was an error and my computer couldn't download because it was out of date. The fake site gave me a number to call for help, so I called it.

The person who answered claimed to be a Norton technician named Stephen Hopes with an ID number of NOR***. I gave him full access to my computer, and he asked for the product key, which I gave him. He then told me to go to www.support.me and gave me a separate code to enter. He asked me what kind of computer I had and what my internet access was like. After gaining access to my computer, he started bringing up files and told me that our IP address was compromised and that other people were illegally using it. He asked for access to all the computers in the house, which didn't sound right to me. I told him I wanted to check his credentials before proceeding.

The next day, I called my internet service provider and was told that there was nothing wrong with our IP address and that it was very secure. They checked the phone number I was given and told me it was a scam and not related to Norton Anti-Virus. They gave me the correct number for Norton Anti-Virus, and I called them. They told me that the phone number I was given before was not related to them in any way. They checked my account and told me I had 10 days left on my subscription. They did a full scan of my computer and found no viruses, especially not the Zeus Malware virus.

I'm grateful to the real Norton by Symantec for restoring my computer with my new product key. The true Norton technician also suggested that I notify my bank if I do online banking or online purchases as a precaution.

If you get similar pop-ups telling you that your computer has a virus, don't be naive like me. Do your homework and have your computer checked out by a professional or call the true Norton by Symantec for help. The correct phone number for the true Norton by Symantec is ***726. I was told that there are lots of fake Norton Anti-Virus technicians out there, so make sure you have the correct Norton or you'll be seriously ripped off.

Norton Norton 360 - Cloud Backup

I have had Norton installed on my computers for a few years. The reason for initially acquiring Norton was for its cloud backup capability as a I have several big files that are the product of many years of work.

My computer drive failed so I restored my files into a new drive. Many of the files were restored except for a few big files with extension .slx, .m, and .mlx. I can conclude that Norton is not capable to backup all type of files and it is not transparent about this concern.

I will have to go through an outside agency to try to recover my files from the drive that failed. I need Norton to reimburse me for any expenses associated with the recovery of my files and to compensate me for the inconvenience.

Norton Norton 360

I have had a case number for not being able to launch a scan on my PC for most of the year. Norton has been in my PC remotely on 3 or 4 occasions and (although promising the problem is now solved) they have not been able to resolve the situation. I am promised updates and phone calls that never happen. Every time I inquire what progress has been made, I'm told they're on it and don't worry, I'll hear something soon. I get no phone calls, I get no emails. Norton customer service is the crappiest I've ever had to endure.

Desired outcome: Stop with the empty promises and fix my problem
