I purchased phone service for my plan and my service has not worked properly for almost 6 months. I have called multiple times to be hung up on and on hold for hours. The employee I talked to said he would not refund me because in his opinion he said I was lying. Worst customer service ever, I not only still have not had my issue resolved but also have not got a refund or any correspondence from anyone at straight talk not even upper management. They are breaking several federal laws and let over seas companies have my personal information that was used to steal my identity and the company still will not do anything to protect my identity or fix their mistake.

Desired outcome: I want a years worth of free service, because of all the time and money I have wasted is worth more than that. I also want that employee fired who discriminated against me.

Straight Talk Wireless Forced to replace a perfectly good $800 phone with $150 phone and wont connect my service

Straight talk is doing forced upgrades for their service. Sent me a $150 phone in replacement for an $800 dollar working perfect phone. Been 3+ days so far and countless hrs on the phone trying to get connected to the new phone with no cure in sight. They all have you do the same maneuvers over and over no matter how many times you tell them you have done it and it doesnt work. The phone dont work, the service is just repetitive "do this and itll work" with no solution in sight. Called for help to transfer my number to the new phone and couldnt understand the accent of the person on the other end, asked for someone I could understand and they transfered me to 6 different countries, none of which spoke english.

Straight Talk Wireless Straight talk support cost me identity threat and double charged me

Since June I have called them spent well over 200 hours on phone. Only to be treated very very rudely when they couldn’t fix my phone. Not only that I payed for a service they didn’t render Was told needed to get SIM card four times They cost me to be hacked and then they hang up etc they double dipped me which wasn’t found out till the unauthorized charges were made in apps then I see Verizon wireless and straight talk cards bought Don’t even get me started on their leasing portion. A day late on last payment and they cut service 230 in morning I had to walk 20 miles as broke down on road and phone was out And oh yeah took the government ebb money for service they did not fulfill or even try to fix and oh had my accounts locked with apple and google cause of This lost my photos of my dad who just died

Straight Talk Wireless Unlock my phone

I purchased a galaxy ae10 from Walmart. I had heard straight talk was a good carrier. So I bought a calling card. BOY WAS I WRONG. I HAD NO CONTRACT WITH NO ONE. IT WAS A PAY AS I GO... WELL I AM ON FOOD STAMPS SO I WAS APPROVED FROM THE GOVERMENT . FOR FREE SERVICE. THIS DAMN COMPANY CALLED STALK HAS MY PHONE LOCKED. I AM CONTACTING THE FCC, ANYONE ELSE I CAN BECAUSE. THIS DAMN STRAIGHT TALK HAS MY PHONE LOCK. [censored]. I HAVE CONTACTED FCC. Companies like this need to be sued, fined. My attorney will be in touch.

Straight Talk Wireless Poor service, data locking up on internet

I have had this problem for over a month and the problem is still not fixed! When I browse the interent it locks up and I have to hit the airplane mode for a few secs and then turn airplane mode off and then I can again use internet. I have called many, many times and talked to a supervisor who hung up on me and still not fixed! I have been a long time straighttalk customer and I am thinking about changing service. VERY VERY POOR!

Desired outcome: FIX MY INTERNET BROWSING SO I DONT HAVE TO KEEP HITTING AIRPLANE NAME

Straight Talk Wireless my phone number [protected]

You at strait talk ported my phone number to metro pcs without my permission .! I now have no phone, I paid my service fees and you have lied to me multiple times that you would and have retrieved my phone number and that I ould get it back in 24 hours . Never happened . I have also had to buy a new phone from another carrier . You won't refund my money for the service I am not getting and I am filing a lawsuit against you . I want my phone number back ASAP or My full refund .

Straight Talk Wireless Service Pin

I purchased a service refill card. I still have the card and the receipt. I came home and scratched it and the numbers became unreadable. It took the numbers slam off as I scratched. Anyway I can get the pin or somehow still refill my service without spending more money again. Thanks in advance for any help.

Straight Talk Wireless My number of over 20 years was ported out to metro without my authorization.

Unauthorized porting of my number of over 20 years to metro in Dec. 2021. I have called every 24 to 72 hours as they have instructed me. I get the same repeated script. Escalation team, off line, waiting on a response, let me check for updates, yes I can transfer you to a supervisor (disconnects me every single time), let me put you on hold to check for updates, can you call back in 24 hours, can you call back in 72 hours, no response received from the escalation team. I have been without a working phone since Dec. 16, 2021. They gave me a ticket number and reference number. However, I have to explain the entire situation to each person I talk to every time I call. Their response, I am sorry they are offline, no the escalation team has no update, call us in 24 hours.
I have to wait until I get to work to call them since my phone doesn't work! I then spend each of my breaks on hold with them only for them to tell me no updates. But the autopay kept coming out of my account.
No one will give me any contact information for someone else higher up rather than customer service.

Desired outcome: I want my phone number back and compensated for the data I did not use the time I was without my phone number.

This exact thing is happening to me right now. My phone number I’ve had since you could chose which number you wanted. Was given to metro with out my authorization and now it’s been three weeks of calling everyday to get the same story. How can someone take my number online and switch it to metro in a matter of minutes but no one is able to get it back for me…!

Straight Talk Wireless Customer service - they let my phone number fraudulently port to another company

Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever received with ANY COMPANY! On Sunday, 1/9/2022- I received a text message from Straight talk telling me that my number was ported to a new carrier. If I did not authorize this, please call them immediately, which I did! They let the number be ported over the MetroPCS and it's been a nightmare ever since! I have spent called daily twice a day to only hear things like "don't worry- we will have your number back in 24-48 hrs", or "we are working on it", or on Thursday- they lied to me and said they received the number back and I would be up and running within 24 hours... so when I called on Friday- they said- Nope, haven't heard from MetroPCS yet. ALL THEY DO IS LIE! and the worst part is that my cell phone number is written all over my advertising so now I need to spend over $700 to get new advertising material for my company. Absolutely- worst company ever! DO NOT GET SERVICE FROM STRAIGHT TALK!

Desired outcome: Refund my $$ and get my number back

Same thing happened to me but I didn’t receive a text about the unauthorized port. My phone just stopped receiving calls and texts. That was the only cell phone number I have ever had in my life way over 25 years. Horrible customer service and escalation team!
I have been without my phone number since Dec. 16, 2021.

Straight Talk Wireless Security breach

My information was hacked or sold by straight talk today January 13th 2022. They are the only ones that have my pin to be able to transfer to another carrier. This was done this morning and my phone shut off. It was transferred to Metrops and the hacker used my number to get into my coinbase account by using the two-step verification with my phone number. They emptied my coinbase account and then used my coinbase to empty out my checking account. I've lost thousands of dollars including my shares in bitcoin, etc. Straight talk does nothing to help. My father had a stroke and all the doctors are supposed to be calling that phone number and I have no phone number. This is a nightmare and dangerous to my fathers health. Even if I get a new number it will take me days to try to reach out and change my number to all if mine and my fathers contacts. I can not believe that Staight talk takes no responsibility. They have not fixed my number or will do anything about the lost money.

Desired outcome: Return my money and pay for the huge amount of time this is costing

OMG! The same happened to me (but not to coinbase-thank god!) I called Metro and they kept my phone from being turned back on so this may help you also. Good Luck to you!

ON 12/21 &22 my credit card was charged $50.00 and $25.00 from FL. [protected]. I was made aware of this from my Card Company. I have never had any dealings with this company. This is all a big scam.

Straight Talk Wireless LG440G no longer has voice, attempted to order new phone, unsuccessful after many attempts

On or about December 22nd, I was trying to use my phone, which used to work pretty well for a while, only to have no voice. Verified all settings and reviewed by another to assure I missed nothing. Still NG. Needed to get an LTE phone, and so I thought I would order through straight talk. Received text to use st-w/... type links. They would not accept my order, even to the point I got an order number. Promised to delivery in 1-3 days, and a week passed no phone. Tried to access them again, no luck. Kept passing on this invalid number, [protected], called to receive call can not be completed as dialed. Tried online ordering again, and not eligible for phone. Unable to get into my account profile, and it's time to switch providers.

Desired outcome: Get a new free phone as originally promised in their promotions and a new call plan as I lost service on a newly activited 30-day plan.

I was trying to activate my phone. I only wanted to purchase a new sim card. I gave them correct numbers and was immediately told it was an invalid number. I took this number off the actual sim card. I also went into phone and found my mei number and was told that was invalid. I do not have the original red card that came with my phone. All I was is a new sim card!

Straight Talk Wireless Ported my number to metro pc 13 days ago without my consent and I still haven't got it back

On dec 19th I refilled my service plan and my phone stopped working so I called only to get hung up on and disconnected 8 times the first day I called! I use my phone for work and this issue has caused me a lot of problems I can't do payroll, check my emails, communicate with employees, get online, nothing! I have called every day and every day I'm told another 24 to 48 hours and still nothing, I have been put on hold for hours at a time, told to chill out by the customer service reps which very unprofessional and does nothing but piss me off more, I have gotten more info from metro pc and their service reps have been far nicer than straight talk has at all! Straight talk told me they sent an email about my number but metro pc told me that they have not gotten an email from straight talk about my number at all! They also told me it was a glitch in their system but metro said straight talk was hacked and there's a big difference in a glitch and being hacked and if their system can be hacked that easy and that many numbers ported out then what other info has been let out with our numbers? I can't get straight talk to tell me anything they are lying to their customers and not telling anyone any Info on how long it's going to take or if we are even going to get our numbers back for sure! This issue has caused me a lot of problems and costed me a whole lot of money and time and problems, I have been placed on hold for hours, disconnected, given the run around and some of the reps are just rude and don't offer any truth to the problem, I asked for a temp number until they can get mine back so I can at least use my phone and I was told that I would have to buy another service plan to get a temp number, I just paid for a service plan that I can't even use and they expect me to buy another service plan just to use my phone? No [censored]! They should be providing a solution at their expense not at the expense of their customers since we already paid for our service! I do not have the money to buy another service plan and if I have to do that then it's going to be with a diff service provider! Since it's taking them 13 days and I still don't have my number back I'll just tell them to let metro pc keep my damn number and I'll use them as a provider from now on and go after straight talk for all the money they have costed me already and if you include two weeks worth of payroll for 20 employees at about $1300 each week for each employee not to mention shut off from utility companies because these ppl aren't getting paid and can't pay their bills, late charges, reconnect fees, I couldn't even buy Christmas presents because I couldn't get paid or deposit any checks since I use my phone to do that and now it's New Years and I still don't have a phone With service or a phone number! I'm becoming more disgusted with the lack of information and getting the run around from straight talk, they are not handling the problem very professional and they aren't being honest with their customers! How many more 24 to 48 hours are we going to have to wait? I'm fed up with straight talk and the lack of service and honesty from their employees but I bet they're getting their paychecks aren't they? This issue is going to end up costing them far more than the cost of a temp service plan in the long run so you would think they could figure that much out and provide their customers with a temp number and plan to try to smooth that over a little bit but no I guess they haven't considered that! I was just told another 24 to 48 hours for about the tenth time in 13 days! 13 days! Two weeks and I still don't have my phone number back! Why? They can't tell anyone why! I have asked and all I'm told is they don't have a response! I demand a damn response and that's not too much to ask! Their customers deserve to know that much at least! The photos are just part of the phone calls I have made to metro pc and straight talk, I also made calls from two other phones that I do not have access to right now but was on hold for almost 2 hours during just one call. Straight Talk Wireless Phone number ported out

My phone number was ported out without my permission Dec.23, 2021. Been catching major flack trying to retrieve phone number and regain use of cell phone. Keep getting the run around from straight talk. Absolutely no resolution after days of trying. Seems like to me Straight Talk is in on the hack. How is it so easy for someone to port a number out but, takes an act of Congress to get it back. Phone reps are a complete waste of time. They are reading from a script and have no understanding or pretend not to. Every time they transfer to the port department the phone hangs up and you have to call in again! This is beyond disgusting! I will be changing service ASAP!

Come to find out this is a problem the company is fully aware of because one of the reps said they had an influx of calls about the same issue. So why put customers to all the repetitive calling when you already know there is a problem! I called so many times to no avail I refuse to call again. I will just get another company that hopefully does better business!

Finally got my number back after without service since Dec22.. I sent certified letter to their Executive complaint board address in Miami, FL. and filed an informal complaint with the FCC.

I have the same problem. It's frustrating because you want to keep your same number, otherwise it would be easy to just leave Straight talk and get a new number from another carrier. Plus, since I bought my Iphone from Straight Talk, I think I would need an unlock code from Straight Talk to port my phone to another carrier. I have filed an informal complaint with the FCC but not sure if that will do anything.

Straight Talk Wireless Transfer and loss of my business phone number

I was a satisfied customer for three and a half years. Then I purchased a new phone in the spring of '21. Since then my phone number has been transferred without my permission six times. I have been on the phone today for two hours and I kept getting disconnected when they transferred the calls to the portal desk.
I entrusted them with my business phone that I have spent 4 years creating a following.
I will not change my number. But I will move to another carrier and lodge a complaint with the FCC as soon as I get the number back.
Customer service is exceeding polite and ineffective. No excuse suffices

Desired outcome: my phone number back and compensation for each of three days without service each time and time lost with customer service.

Straight Talk Wireless They erroneously took my number ported it over to another carrier

On Tuesday found out I could not call or receive calls. Started a chat with Straight Talk said someone requested my number to be changed to a different carrier. I did not. Said it would take 24 hours to correct. Well it is Saturday at 7PM still not done.

I can text and receive text, but once I leave my house my text ability stops. I have been on hold on my landline for HOURS they tell me within 24 hours it will be fixed. I have always had great service with Straight Talk and been happy with them. UNTIL NOW

They said a way to resolve it is for me to change my phone number NO! I am hope that by placing this complaint someone at Straight Talk who cares about customer service will give a damn. I am 67 had a stroke in Sept. and need my phone.

Desired outcome: RESTORE MY PHONE SERVICE AND CREDIT MY ACCOUNT FOR 5 MONTHS

Same thing happened to me on 12/21/2021. On their chat a customer service representive told me that thier system mistakenly deactivated thousands of phones and ported their numbers to another carrier. Since trying to unwind the problem after two days of no service.

Yes I finally had a rep tell me it happened to others so I felt better that I was not singled out and had my information stolen. That would have helped I had already started process to change PIN numbers. What I don't understand is why the other carrier would not or could not give the numbers back?

Straight Talk Wireless Phone number requests

I called Straight Talk to request an old phone number that I once had because it's attached to a gmail account. The only way I can access my gmail account is by receiving a verification code sent by Google. Since I no longer have the phone number that's attached to that account, I Google can't verify that I am the subscriber to that account. That gmail account contains old emails from my grandpa who passed away. I called Straight Talk and explained this to them. First I was told that the number is available, and then they transferred me to someone else who told me they have good news that the number is not in use, but then they told me that the number expired in 2017 and cannot be retrieved. That's impossible since I was using that phone number in 2018! I called the FCC and asked about this and they told me since I made a valid request they have to comply as long as the number is not in use. The number is not in use, but the Straight Talk reps lied to me saying that the number expired in 2017 even though I had that phone number until August of 2018! Another thing is it sounds like they are reading a script, and almost all customer service reps for Straight Talk speak broken English! Some don't even speak English! I asked one rep where he is from and he said Pakistan. So, the representatives aren't even in the United States! They don't seem to care about customer satisfaction, and instead expect customers to comply with their terms and conditions even if they violate rules and regulations set forth by the FCC!

Straight Talk Wireless Website Payments

StraightTalk Website says my payment method was declined and I used 2 different payment methods. Both were verified several times before submission and both have more than sufficient funds to cover the service plan total cost.

I verified both payment methods work by making a couple transactions elsewhere online and I have screenshots of those transactions proving my payment method is VALID.

I had a chat with a StraightTalk representative named Liza (I have screenshots of that conversation) who proceeded to tell me that my payment method expiration date was incorrect. I reviewed again, for the 8th or 9th time, the information saved on my account for my payment methods and they all were correct.

She tried to process the transaction again and told me my payment method was declined and that I would have to contact my card issuer. To which I replied "It is not an issue with my card, it is your system."

If StraightTalk wants to play games with me and not take the money for a plan "I" want that they offer, then so be it. I'll take my business elsewhere. But someone needs to be held accountable for this disruption and make appropriate fixes to resolve the problem.

Desired outcome: Fix the payment processing system, grant me phone service for the time I am out of service up until the payment processing system is fixed.

Straight Talk Wireless Cell phone

Purchased phone at wmart 328.00 total 28 days later.. Phone died.. Working so hard to get to wmart so contacted thgeir corporate resolution team by email 3 emails never gotr a response so finally went to wmart they said sorry, your screwed, so contacted regular st talk number said I could get a replacement (used garbage) when that was the reason I bought a brand new phone. So I thought there was no resolution I had to get a used garbage phone or nothing for my 328.00 purchase only lasting 28 days.. But still called the st talk resolution number was lied to, told me go back to wmart have them call that resolution number that there is a documented problem with st talk and samsung so they have to give a equal money phone in exchange but not samsung... Well I was lied to by a supposed supervisor left work drove an hour before customer service was closed at the wmart where phone was bought and was treated like garbage by the clerk as he said he wasnt calling anybody and never heard of such a problem between samsung and tracfone/st talk phone service, so I left called the same corporate supposed resolution number asked for a supervisor again and they told me they never heard of such a thing.. Unreal, also I have been a customer of tracfone, st talk for many years spending alot of money

I have been a ST client since 2005 and was happy with the service. But, as soon as they switched to the different phone bases, it has been nothing but trouble. My phone receives calls but I can not use it to call out. Plus the antenna icon keeps turning red. I have called them over and over on my cellphone of course, because I can't call out on their phone. Neither problem can be resolved, they have had me turn it off and on, remove the SIM card and put it back in, even remove the battery and put it back, nothing helps. I have had it, today I contacted Consumer Cellular, I am switching I am giving them a try to see if I get better service from them. I just hope I don't have to switch companies too many times to find one that works. Maybe CC will work, their Cellphone gives great service.

Nope, not acceptable. Your apologies are not good enough to appease all the trouble and aggravation that your company doles out. I'm not sticking around for this. My time is worth too much to waste it on such horrible service, and so is my money. You have plenty of competitors that I am turning towards. Let's see if they are more organized and better trained to handle any glitches along the way. I'm out!

I have had my phone service interrupted four times due to this new "conversion or migration" that I received multiple text and calls about. I was informed about a new free phone that I needed in order to have my service restored. On numerous calls to customer service, I informed them that I had just purchased a new pH and activated it through their automatics services Without question, I was told that my TracFone wasn't compatible and I would need to get their free phone offer. I informed them that I have a Blackview phone, they sent a text code that I issued to them and they told me my phone is compatible and my service was restored. Two days later, my service was interrupted again. I called and was told that no records of a call were on my acct. I again went through this text code, was asked for my phones IMEI numbers, asked if my phone showed 3 or 4G at the top and told my phone was compatible with the 4G displayed and four bars at the top of my phone and my service again was restored. Six days later my service was interrupted; yet a third time, leading me to customer service again. They auto refilled my service four days before the service end date although I disenrolled auto refill three months prior. Upon calling and explaining the same things and doing the same steps mentioned on previous calls, my phone now displays 3G. I asked for credit for service lost and explained my cancellation of auto refill months prior and was told that I would need to be connected to someone else concerning my issue and to place my order for a free new phone. This call as previous calls were disconnected upon transfer by these reps., resulting in me having to call back and experience the same questions and to be told now that my phone is not compatible. I have been going around and around in a circle, even after asking to speak with a supervisor, I have been disconnected from. I have been with straight talk since 2004 , my original phone number was taking from me two years after beginning service and upgrading my phone and being told they couldn't transfer my number to that phone. I have upgraded many phones and for me to be told that this newly purchased one was compatible, then not is crazy. Your customer service reps seem to take the customers as jokes as well as their jobs because their is no countability for their actions. How could a company such as this have associates playing with people's monies and changing up things on their phones along with interrupting their service as they've been doing. I even asked them two weeks ago to send me their free new phone and were told from other reps that no records show of an order
