Shoney's North America Seating

Went to Shoney's in Morgan City, Louisiana 70380, address:1011 Greenwood Street. Was seated in a booth when getting up to serve myself, ripped pants when getting up. Spring came through seat cushion and tore pants on the back of pants. Noticed that other seat cushions in other booths has tape on bottom cushions. Also inside door was not closing correctly. Door closing device was coming out of door frame.

Shoney's North America The Thursday night breakfast bar and statement of the salad bar worker

Tonight visiting Shoney’s, most items were hard and brunt looking. When I asked the waitress whose the cook tonight? Because we are weekly customers. She gave a name. I said oh because that food is very hard and brunt. The sausage links I wanted, she stated that the salad bar worker cook’s those. The waitress told the salad bar worker that customers would like some fresh ones. The salad bar worker asked which customers? To me that shouldn’t matter. Then she (the salad bar worker) loudly said that she put some down but she is stretch out in the back working. Sorry but that’s not my fault. However she was on that phone. I don’t have a problem waiting, but there was no concern about the customers. I want this company to look at the items and tell me if me paying 30ish dollars worth that and the statements of the worker.

Shoney's North America This entire location, everything about it

Shoney’s was a favorite restaurant of mine years ago. They had a really nice breakfast bar with fresh fruits, yogurt, milk, cereal and lots of variety in hot foods as well. Since the pandemic, it is but a mere shell of what it once was. I’ve tried to visit the same location 3 times and each time has been an absolutely awful experience.

The first visit, a couple of months ago maybe, I waited at the front counter to be seated, or heck even be recognized as being inside the building for over a half hour, with a growing line standing behind me waiting to be seated. I gave them 5 more minutes or else I was leaving, I said to myself. No one had even walked or looked up front at all. No one said Hello, or sorry we’re busy, nothing. So after 35 minutes I walked out of the door and several others in line had given up and walked out before me.

My second visit weeks later, I waited several minutes to be seated. Once seated I was abandoned and forgotten. No one ever came back to my table to take my food or drink orders. I received no silverware.

After sitting in my booth for about 10 minutes I got up and went to the food bar myself and got what I wanted to eat. Still no silverware on my table when I had returned. So I went in search of any employee I could find and asked for silverware please. I was also given a drink. But it wasn’t even that person’s table to wait on. By the time I had finished eating no one had ever walked by to pick up plates or offer a refill of my drink. I walked to the register and asked to pay without even a bill in hand.

My third and most recent visit was last Friday. I went with my roommate to the same location. After a few minutes a server yelled to us from the middle of the dining area and told us to “come on back and take a seat”. She couldn’t be bothered to walk up front to politely greet us.

We were told to sit at a booth she waved us toward. The table was dirty. It had sticky stains and small clumps of food from whoever ate there last. It wasn’t even cleaned. They were not busy. Only a few tables had other customers eating. It was over 2 hours past opening. There were 7 empty trays on the food bar where breakfast foods are normally kept. Half of the breakfast foods that were available were cold and not being heated at all. I never even got the chance to ask the server for straws.

Our server was actively chatting up a cute guy in a booth just one seat back from us on the opposite side. She stood talking for at least 7-10 minutes, before coming over quickly to ask if we needed anything. Then she went back to the guy’s booth and sat down in the booth with him while he was trying to eat and kept talking excitedly the rest of the time that we were there.

She never tried to help stock up the food bar or check temperatures of any of the foods or help out in the back in getting foods ready, nothing. If they were short staffed (no idea if they were or not) she made zero attempt to do anything more than the bare minimum to remain employed. Management was obviously not there that morning.

I guess that I should consider myself lucky to get yelled at from about 15 feet away to be seated at a dirty table that has not been cleaned, to eat cold food at a half empty food bar? They’ve long since eliminated between 1/3 to ½ of the selection that they once had for breakfast foods, too. They might as well close this location. It’s been pathetic for months. No wonder people have quit showing up to eat there! I’ve decided that I’m never going back there again either. I’m telling everyone I know to avoid the place in favor of a real restaurant. It’s obvious that management quit caring about doing their jobs or taking them seriously any more and the employees have all seen that and they are acting the same.

Desired outcome: Close this location or fix it. Some of the servers were nice, but haven't seen them in a while. Other than a few good ones - fire the whole staff and start all over again here.

Shoney's North America Cold food and attitudes

Food and customer service was horrible at Dothan Al location. Bar was missing items and they were slow to respond to request. The “hostess”” Sharquita had a very nasty attitude! I started to walk out once I got there but my kids and I were hungry and we had just made it back from out of town. I also heard her complain about not putting a certain amount of food out etc [protected] call me ASAP

Shoney's North America Shoney's in Arkadelphia Arkansas cold hamburgers.

Last Sunday December 11th my friend and I stopped at the Shoney's in Arkadelphia Arkansas. She ordered a chili which was okay and I ordered a hamburger. When I got the burger it was cold. I was really disappointed in this and I ate it anyway because we were in a hurry. I thought you should know that the people there were unconcerned about it. Also it was freezing cold inside and we asked if they would turn the air conditioner off because it was 46° outside and they said that they had no control over it. We will never ever eat there again.

Desired outcome: My meal was $8. I gave the young man at the cash register a dollar for a tip because I admire young people who work. I would like a refund of $8. However your company probably will ignore this and I will not ever get satisfaction

Shoney's North America Product and service in Jasper IN

My wife and I stopped in to the Shoney"s in Jasper In and appeox 1:40 local time today for a buffet meal and were seated and the waitress asked us for our drink order. At this time it appeared that the breakfast bar and lunch bar were both operating. We went to the salad bar and both got a salad. When we got back to our seats, the waitress came by and left a ticket for $26.50. We ate our salad and while I was finishing mine, my wife went up and got three chicken legs and returned to her seat. She started eating the first leg and another waitress came to the table and scolded my wife for getting the chicken legs before the lunch bar had been fully stocked and utensils placed in the food trays. She said it would be 10 minutes before it was open. Our waitress then came up, took our ticket and returned with tjhe ticket now having 3506 on it circled. I asked her what that was for and she said that was the price for the lunch bar, which supposedly wasnt open yet. I told her we werent waiting and if she had told us that when we were seated. we would have left. I told her I would pay for the two salads and her iced tea and the waitress said I had to take it up with the person at the cash register. The gal at the front register told us that when we were seated, it was still breakfast bar time.

We werent told that nor told what the price was and if it was breakfast only we would have left. So we got 1 salad each, three chicken legs and 1 glass of iced tea and were made to pay for two breakfast bars and the tea.

That is ridiculous and if we were close to changeover, we should have been made aware of that

Desired outcome: I dont expect a complete refund, but I feel I shouldnt have been charged what I was for the food we ate. There needs to be a menu with pricing or at least a verbal amount should have been told to us.

Shoney's North America Poor Service, Attitude, Overcharged, No receipt

Customer service was tragic. I wasn't greeted. I was walked half way to my table. My son never got a refill. I was overcharged, was not provided an itemized receipt. I need a complete refund!

Good morning,
My husband, Sister & I discovered Shoney again after years of not going. We lucked up on your Donelson, Tennessee location about 8 months age. We even went for Thanksgiving. the buffet for Thanksgiving was so wonderful. The many times we went to shoneys within the last 8 months It was like one of our favorite places to eat at. Bragged to everybody about it.
Tonight at 5:30 we went to shoneys. The food was awful. Chicken dried out. Broiled fish stuck to pan. Gravy turned to Glue and turned black. Shrimp prior to tonight was butterfly shrimp tonight it was popcorn shrimp's cremated. Macaroni and cheese had sat on bar so long it was stuck to pan. Normally Macaroni Salad is the bomb. Tonight it was yellow all stuck together Nasty. We all 3 had ordered the the bar. Wrong thing to do. My sister got her a place took one bite of something sent it back she go the crispy fish off menu Which was very good. it came and it was beautiful. I then resorted to just nibbling on macaroni salad. Finally I called the waitress over told her i was not eating what I got off the bar. Just to take it off my ticket. the manager came over . She wanted to know what was wrong with all on my plate. I had to go over all that was nasty on my plate. then I told her just charge me for the little mac salad i had. she said well do not go back to the bar for anymore. I told her to just take what I had I didn't want it anyway. she took it and charged me 2.49 which that's ok. My husband is 85 years old he got the bar. he mostly ate the fruit. I have to walk with him to the food bar due to he is on a walker. Manager comes up to me and says Remember don't get anything off the bar for you. I looked at her and said I didn't plan on it. long story short. we loved shoneys till today. If you have new management and she down plays the food bar. you are going have a lot of people stop going Shoney's. we live in the east Nashville area and always say how we wish they opened back up. What I would love to say to you. They really don't need to down play the bar to save money. Please bring the old bar back. it is a classic place. The employees used to be courtesy wait staff and hostess.. What happened.
Also, They had on door Credit Cards only? When ticket came up the waitress said it will be 15% or 20% for time is only choice. I said NO I will leave a Cash tip. That is wrong how she presented that as well. If you don't know about the cash only you would unknowingly leave tip on ticket. Lets bring the old shoneys back. Please if your going to cut back this is not the way to go about it. Thank you Very much for your time. SS

Desired outcome: To bring back what Shoney food bar was. Not the cheap options they had tonight.

Shoney's North America service complaint Sumter s.c.

Sumter s.c. our family have been in three times in the last 6 months and attempted to dine . once at 25 min.before closing to be told you cant eat ..we close in 25 min. another time last week at quarter till same response with rudeness and the other time we were told we could not enter without a mask and no offer to give us one and we asked for a mask to be told no... we wondered how we would eat with a mask on Stupid Just Stupid will never go to that location again They seemed to be prejudice to all of us poor rich white people! SAW the same thing happen to your conway location before it closed llll poooor service and Lazy employees who just want a check

Shoney's North America Service

We went to the Shoneys in Charleston wv on Sunday 5/16/21 and had one of the worst experience. After standing in line for over 30 min with more than half the tables empty and complaining about the wait along with several other people we were seated..Once seated we were informed we could not order from the menu and the buffet was all that was available. They didn't have enough staff to wait tables and bring drinks..If you are not prepared to serve customers then they should not open for business until they do..this was one of the worst experience i've encountered at a restaurant.

Shoney's North America Waitress

Boyfriend and I went to shoney's in Lewisburg, tn., this past Sunday March 8th 2021.
So-called waitress named Sasha was beyond rude. Worse attitude I've ever seen in a waitress. She should be terminated immediately.
I think the guy in the white shirt
(possible Mgr or assist Mgr) took her to the back and said something to her. (because they both disappeared at the same time.)
They disappeared right after she argued out loud with me for about 3 minutes for the whole restaurant to hear.
She is an unprofessional WITCH which needs to be terminated!

Shoney's North America Management for service and being just plain rude

Me and my girlfriend had been visiting the Shoney's restaurant in Lebanon Tennessee long time we always go and enjoy the buffet on Friday night we went to have the seafood Buffet as usual we do this quite often I have had no problem but on this particular night we ordered it. Pay and soft drinks we got our food and enjoyed it as usual the food was good as we finished our meal we wanted a cup of coffee it has been about 45 minutes since we have seen our server so I asked another server her name was Raven if we could get a cup of coffee she said yes sir and proceeded to go back to the kitchen she looked confused as she walked around kept looking back out at our table I found our server and they talked for a little while it took approximately 10 minutes our server came to the table and told me that she could not give us a cup a coffee because it's usually included with the buffet and we are ordered soft drinks I asked her are you telling me that we cannot get a cup of coffee he said no it's just that we will have to charge you for it extra I said no joke she proceeded to go back to the kitchen and come back out with one cup of coffee and set it down at the table and ask what that be it or what my girlfriend like a cup to when I said we would like a cup of coffee I meant both of us she went back and got it does a cup of coffee and brought it back out to my girlfriend we drink our coffee and I have noticed on the bill that it was $43.83 $15 a piece for the buffet another $3 a piece for our soft drink nearly $5 for two cups of coffee we went up to pay email the guy that came to the cash register never spoke one word he never asked as they usually do how was everything was everything okay he never spoke one word have a good night thank you come back nothing I think every one of these people should be fired from their job everything went well until we wanted a cup of coffee and then we like to have never found our server then we was plainly snob we are now thinking whether we would ever go back there again after that experience very poor management and very poor service

Shoney's North America 3% surcharge for paying bill

This restaurant chain is now charging 3% for consumers to use their debit or credit card. There passing a business expense on directly to consumers, and we find that unacceptable and will not use this restaurant any longer. The fact that this restaurant wants to charge 3% on top of the bill for their consumers to pay the bill, is completely in utterly unacceptable in we as consumers must stand up against this practice by businesses.

Shoney's North America general manager

thomas shelton gen mgr shoneys has tobacco in his mouth all day spitting it wherever he feels. and to make matters worse his wife and wifes daughter and son all work same hours same days. shannon and jordon do nothing but argue and eat and thomas cant say anything he lives with her ( shannon).
i worked there for one and a half years. i furnished my own knife, vinegar for greens, and dish soap. i loved my job and miss it but enough is enough told district mgr gary and nobody cares. very sad!

Shoney's North America this was the worst restaurants I have ever been in

Went Sunday to eat at the breakfast bar after staying away for over 8 months due to same issues... The nastiest food establishment around Lawrenceburg. Waitress was giving wrong bills to her customers, the employee attending to the bar had his mouth wide open and looked as if he has been awake several days, chicken strips were frozen in the middle, the French toast looked like it was over cooked in the microwave. Sad

Shoney's North America food cold, manager kenny on duty at the time.

We went to this Shoney's on 12-18- 2019 at 7:45 am to have the Hot Breakfast Bar. We got up to go out to have a hot breakfast and it was 20 degrees outside and it was far from that. When we got there we got seated and placed our order and went to get the food. When we got the food and sat down to eat it the sausage, bacon, gravy, biscuits, hash browns barely warm, fried potatoes cold. The only thing that was hot at all was the grits. We told the waitress and she said well it shouldn't be cold, we open at 5 am or are here and then open at 6pm. They were not eggs scrabbled eggs on the bar and none were ever put out the whole time we were there. But she said we could order eggs and we both got fried eggs and when they came out they were barely warm I order sour dough toast and when she brought it was barely warm. We ate and she came back and said she could warm things up for us but i said if you open up at 5am why is everything on the bar cold and she never answered to that. During the meal they normally come and move the used platse, we were at a small table and she had not and i accidently spilled my glass of milk due to no room to sit it down and we had to move to another table so she could clean up the milk off the table. When we checked the cashier asked how was it and i told her that our food was cold and they only thing that was hot was the grits. Then she took 10 percent off and i paid for it and my husband said wait i want to speak to the manager and he was on the phone and i waited till he got off the phone. I told him i need to speak to him and i told him the food was cold on the bar and she took off 10 percent off but i felt that she should have taken off more thant 10 percent. Then he said did she offer to warm it up and i said well if you open up at 5 or 6 am why should the food not be hot off the bar 7:45 am. Then he said yes sir, yes sir and he didn't offer anything and i said well i will take it up with corporate office. He also had a nasty attitude and I felt he came across as a smart [censored]. He didn't even apologize and I just walked away. We will never eat at this Shoney's again. After looking at the reviews and seeing them with only 2 1/2 stars I understand why and I saw where Kingsport Tn. had a 4 1/2 star. I will drive 45 min to go there if I go to a Shoney or too the one on Lee Hwy, in Bristol Va. We spent $22.24 and feel like we threw our money down the sewer for lousy cold food. Ronnie. [protected]

Shoney's North America buffet

My sister, niece and her boyfriend went to Shoneys in FT Henry Drive Kingsport Tn this morning about 11 to eat before going to the hospital my o sit with my mom today. They were in the process of putting out the hot bar and reducing the size of the breakfast bar. I got some Mac and cheese and the first and ONLY bite of it. There was a very long hair in it, at first I thought it was cheese but the horror in my nieces face I knew what it was. I called out server over and told her what had happened and even gave her the evidence. Manager came over and told me that she put out new Mac and cheese and for me to go get some. Not a chance of that happening. When we went to check out all that was said is did you get some more food. Not an apology not one cent off not a discount for the next time we visit nothing. I think this was handled very poorly who wants to eat after something like that happens to you!

Shoney's North America food

I use to love going to shoneys but after tonight I will not go again. The food I ordered, I saw the guy warm it up in microwave 3 times while I waited.i didn't see but one person was in there and I dont understand why he was doing that for my Togo order. It wasn't good when I ate it . I'm very disappointed .it use to be a good place with good food now it's not anymore.

Shoney's North America service and management

We visited this Shoney's On Friday night, 07/19/2019. After a little wait with no one up front we were seated. The food on the bar was good but the waitress was terrible, her name was Hana. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but we ran out of drinks and waited for 20 minutes to be told they were having a meeting to assign tables to the waitresses. She proceeded to stick her finger inside of our glasses to pick them up and brought us drinks back in those glasses. We left and went to pay where their was another customer complaining to management about the same waitress not bringing them any drinks. She came out of the back to argue with him. Management just blew him off and said they were busy and he needed to understand that. She ask how was our dinner and my husband said we had the same complaint and she said we are very busy and my husband told her he thought it was lack of waitress skills or training. She never apologized or anything. We have had many problems with this store and unfortunately will not be returning there to eat anymore. We usually don't complain or give bad reviews but this store is out of hand and ridiculous.
