Santander Consumer USA My 2019 hyundai accent, that was recently repossessed without contacting me about a resolution, to fix this issue

Hi, I recently was unemployed due to covid 19 and I was out of work for 74 days and in the hospital for 66 of said days I've been slowly recovering due to my illness and recently without notice or communication my car was repo off my property, and sent back to TX to be sold at auction without disclosing who or were or why it was taken & why it was being pushed for auction, rather then call me or speak with me about fixing said issue and trying to get my asset reinstated they told me after reviewing my information I was denied to be reinstated and no answer why, and even tho after speaking with management I've disclosed money isn't a issue but they still refused to come to a agreement on how or why or when my car will be sold and why I was not offered any second chance or options on fixing this issue, I'm only here to get answers and if I should hire any professionals to find a more secure option on said issue, I personally do not think it's fair or lawful to take someone's car when they have payments of $284 a month, direct deposited sent to them each time, and even tho after switching car insurance my car was taken the next day and they still refuse to claim I have insurance but all said paperwork is in the car they stolen, how would I reach out or find a solution is all i ask, I just think it's unfair after I've told them & called and sent numerous emails of my situation they choose to still deny & lie & force me to buy my car in full after only leasing my car to me after I placed a down payment on it due to the fact I had 0 credit history and they clearly & lawfully knew the loan would default if I stopped working for even 15 days they instead of come to a solution have chosen to Deny to help me & my family witch we now have no ways to work and no ways to travel, thank god for Walmart home deli every program and godbless everyone on this page I hope to get some sort of assistance or help my car was loaned on end of august 2019 thru a dealership in Rapid city SouthDakota thank you!

Desired outcome: I would like professional help or A settlement requested for my hardship my family been going months without a decent home to live and having 2 jobs Santander refuses to help I would like some sort of answer or Assistance

Santander Consumer USA Confused

Confusing about my 2013 Dodge ram truck purchase and 2013. Recently checked my credit report and it said it was paid off. But yet I'm still paying a note as we speak. No one in the office will explain to me why I have $8, 000 in late fees The interest rate is way ridiculous they really don't explain much to you when you just in a rush to buy a vehicle and that is my fault I'm just trying to find out if I was part of this lawsuit. I would never ever buy another vehicle through Chrysler and have Santana as my loan

Santander Consumer USA Auto loan & fees

In short I got a car loan with this company back in 2015. From the beginning the experience I had with them was horrible. They was one time in particular I can remember them going into my account unauthorized trying to get money that I did not approve for them to take. I called the company to asked how was it possible for them to just go into my account. Needless to say to respond I got wasn't sufficient therefore I removed my automatic payments off my account and that's when all the other late fees and charges started. Because I was unaware that it was illegal for them to be charging these astronomical fees I tried to keep up with my pays but ended up doing a volunteer repossession however this account is still showing up as a charge off and his company has the nerve to be trying to sue me. Any help on how to go about getting on a class action lawsuit would be greatly appreciated.

Santander Consumer USA Took My Vehicle and still kept taking money

I Traded my 2008 Pontiac G6 for a 2014 Chevy Cruise . My payments were 390 a month i paid great the first few months then things started getting a little tighter im a single mom with three girls i worked at a home health company in Pocahontas AR, so the car was pretty crucial. I paid what i could for several months then moved to hot springs for better pay . Well the bills were higher as well and there was 4 months that were not paid They called over and over and over i told them i would have a payment in a couple weeks. i Called my dad in the beginning of September told him i needed some help he gave them a payment in the amount of 650$ . they were happy I was happy then October 2016 my car was repossed and taken . I was devistated . I lost my job because i didnt have a car to use for work, then lost my house because i had no job to pay for it. i had lost evrything in less than a month. then my last payment was made in November? so why was my car taken when money was still being mailed for the car? That company is a joke and they will reap what they sow im sure their are lots of people like me that was screwed by that company. They put me in the biggest bind i had ever been in and i almost wasnt able to pull myself out. a single momthree kids i was scared to death. Glad i dont have to put up with the sob anymore.

Santander Consumer USA Auto loan

I got an auto loan with santander in 2017 for $12, 893 and I just got my truck refinanced with a cheaper interest rate and my payoff for the loan was $12, 228 all the money I was paying monthly only went towards interest and not principal.. The interest rate is too high for someone on a fixed income and they pay the interest on the loan first before the principal. I also had a late payment of only 2 weeks that was put on my credit for 30 days late, I have tried to resolve this but no luck yet.

Santander Consumer USA Auto financed

I was financed in 2014 for six years, I had some issues due to the lost of employment, other added expenses that were causing me hardship and I could not make full payments. I reached out to santander and was told of I just paid the interest I would be fine. This happened four or five times. I was charged a daily compound rate daily and additional finance charges. I am still paying the bill ten months later at the same rate with interest. I have a balance of $4700.00, due. They are now asking for the full amount due.

Wrote a demand letter including the documents from the class action lawsuit requesting my "internal score" because I know for a fact I am one of the class members based on the court document terms. Contacted AG's office, CFPB, Rust Consulting (scam artists hired by Santander), and Santander themselves which is just like banging your head on the concrete. It...

Santander Consumer USA Letter with promise to release title

Dealer coerced daughter into loan for boyfriend's auto. She just found out in her name only & that auto in repo status. I have secured a loan on the car to buy & clear daughter's credit. Santander refuses to send settlement offer with verbiage that they will release the title upon receipt of certified funds. My lender cannot give me loan without this letter. Santander is a terrible company to deal with.

Santander Consumer USA They have been a problem the entire duration of the payment plan

I believe Santander C. worked with the dealership Hare Chevrolet in Noblesville, Indiana to charge me an astronomical interest rate with outrageous rates! I told them in the beginning that the payment was too high for my income and they lied to me and told me that I could refinance the loan for a lower rate after 1 year. When I called back to to so, they told me that they don't refinance their own loans. They have been a problem the entire duration of the payment plan. I purchased the car in Feb 2015

Santander Consumer USA Auto deal finance and restructuring

I purchased a 750 LI from a BMW Dealership that had an unlicensed Agent facilitate and execute the sales or purchase of my deal only to result in an illegal unlawful sale as the vehicle didnt pass a smog check and a few other major problems leading to a matter of informing the dealership to them refunding my trade in value as they were not correct and to voiding the first contract unwinding the deal and delivering a modification of said agreement with signing a release of first contract to now findings that Santander was or may not have been informed of the nature or agreement or perhaps according to said law penal code tow and AAA the loan made by YOU Santander and its contracted dealership caused a hardship forcing or preventing my account to being included in class action law suit as Attorney General found Santander to being in violation of several practices and procedures including the monitoring of dealerships process in reference to such high risk load and or modifications. Now my car was just towed by a contracted tow company to Santander and im without my vehicle due to a clerical error or mishandling and misappropriations causing me extensive damages. Santander needs to make right by its violations ordering such tow and tow truck driver admitted it was instructed to go to an address i dont have knowledge of never lived at and as tow driver came to my registered known address as he was ordered to release my vehicle he was hooking up to on private property but hadnt commencing theft of my vehicle pursuant to ca penal code tow law rules and fegulations. Im not happy Please Advise

Santander Consumer USA Giving loan with very poor credit score, over charging interest rate, taken advantage of the elderly

My father in law, Thomas Pagnozzi Sr. went to the nissan dealership in amityville, ny., they took advantage of a old man who has very little income, and a credit score of less than 500. my father in law traded in his car, which he got 1, 000 dollars. they never asked for any income proof. my father in law's social security income is less then what his rent costs. His rent is $1450 a month, his SS is $1396. he gets a pension of 789 dollars.a month. he has to live on $700 a month, which you have to minus the 379.00 for the dam car loan, my father in law is a widower. this month, october 2020, his car was repo. he had to come up with over $1600, which he ended up using his October rent so he wouldnt lose the car. so now he is a month behind in his rent. the vehicle they pushed on my father in law is a 2015, hyundai Tucson, and the cost was about $11, 900, the interest on this loan is 28.9 percent the cost is 379.00 a month. by the time the car is paid off, he will have paid more than double of what the car costs. I want the interest rate to be a normal car rate, and the loan monthly cost something that he can afford. At first they told him the car would be 191.00 a month, they lied to him. This bank's a rip off and takes advantage of the elderly. my father in law can not afford this loan. Please help him with this issue. i tried to speak to the manager of the dealership and i was told, they never lied to him, and he could try to reapply for a lower loan rate with the bank. i was told by the bank, they dont re-do the loans for the consumer. he would have to go to another bank. but guess what his credit score is under 500, he cant get another loan. PLEASE HELP MY FATHER IN LAW, with this issue. i understand there was recently, 34 state attorneys that went after this bank for the same reasons. it was filed in manhattan supreme court. what they did to my father in law is the same thing they did to these other people. Please, please, please help my father in law get some justice for being taken advantage of, especially being an elderly person and who can not afford the car loan. the only way he was approved was the dealership pushed the papers through to get him approved. what i want is to happen is for my father in law get a complete refund of all the money he has paid, plus the $1, 000 for the trade in. and for them to give that vehicle to him for all the stress and anxiety he goes through each month trying to come up the loan cost. i know what i want and what could happen are two different things, but This bank should never get away with the way they do business, they should be taken out of business. it is not fair, not for anyone. Please what ever you can do to help him please, help my father in law. Thomas Pagnozzi Sr.
After he pays the loan he has to live on $321.00 a month. NO ONE can live on that monthly. that is below poverty.

thank you in advance with anything that can be done.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Jacqueline Pagnozzi

Santander Consumer USA Interest rate not what it was told to be

Santander usa has ripped my wife to be off. From over charging on a loan of 7, 000 and her already paying over 20, 000 dollars and still owe they say 3, 500. They have been paid twice on the principal alone one time 2, 000 and another time 1, 900. I was suppose to be a co signer and they ended putting the loan in my name. I need to know who is in charge and don't say call Santander why would you believe a word they say when they made the mess. I want my money back

Santander Consumer USA Predatory car loan + lies from customer service

I bought this car in 2-1-16. I was making $12.50 an hour, with over $600 in bills at the time. Santander allowed me to buy a $19, 000 car, with an over 16% interest rate & never checked my finances. They then lied multiple times stating "partial payments will not effect your loan or interest rate". They hid the fact that you pay interest on everything. They hid the fact that partial payments are indeed, not ok. I paid hundreds of dollars in third party fees, because I had no other choice when I would make payments; there was an automatic $10.00 fee.

I defaulted and the car was repossessed in Dec 2019; they illegally towed it over 40 miles away, and then charged me double $2400 just to reclaim it.

I have had so much trouble with these people and their lies. Now that the AG Settlement has been decided and they were found to be criminally liable for sub prime auto loans, they are flat out refusing to answer any of my requests for status on my account, and are again lying.

They have ignored emails, phone calls, letters in the mail, and chat support questions. They have continually and blatantly lied to me, stating the Attorney General can answer all of my questions, and meanwhile the Attorney General continually states that Santander is responsible for giving us accurate status updates.

I am over them. I want to know when I will receive my loan forgiveness in the mail, and the true status of my account.

Santander Consumer USA Con artist

My car was a total lost, my insurance company got a pay off quote and paid the loan, well now Santander Consumer is saying I owe them hundreds more because the time it took the insurance to mail check was three weeks so in three weeks the loan went up over $600, this should be criminal or consider fraud. I can't even understand how this can be legal, I will be contacting a lawyer, This company needs to be investigated.

Santander Consumer USA Loan

I was approved for a loan. I called on 9/25/2020 and asked what is my loan payoff amount. I was given a pay mount. I paid off the loan that day. I viewed my account on 10/10/2020 and noticed I had a balance. When I called I was told its the principal amount. I was told by the representative he was going to put in a ticket to have the amount removed. After 5 days the amount was not removed. I called on 10/15/2020, because amount was not removed it was rejected. I asked to speak with a supervisor because I feel the bank is discriminating because I am black or a women because this is the 3rd time I was told one thing and customer service say well that was the wrong information. Then he said he can help me he was going to refund some of my charges and and transfer the loan amount from my checking. I checked my account he did not transfer so I transferred. Money was taken from my check immediately but not applied to the loan immediately. This bank is a scam to have you to keep paying them.

Santander Consumer USA High interest rates, ripoffs, mandatory service contract

I received a loan through Santander Consumer USA on December 26, 2019. They are charging me a 22.18% interest rate. They did not tell me the interest rate would go up each day. Only $.02 cents is going towards payment. On top of that, I have a mandatory service contract. This place is a total ripoff, STAY AWAY FROM THEM. If I had known about this company myself, I would say NO WAY.

Santander Consumer USA Auto loan fees and interest charges

I had an auto loan with santander. My interest was 27%. After three years of making payments on a 5 year loan my son was in an no fault accident. The insurance company declared it a total loss. Even though the vehicle could have been fixed or even parted out. We still owed santander. After contacting them about the possibility of keeping the vehicle they told us no. They had somebody come tow the vehicle without leaving any paperwork. Then they tried to tell us our payoff was more than we bought the vehicle for. I also believe that they sold the vehicle at auction but never credited any money to our balance for the sell. They are a rip off charging ridiculous fees and interest. You will never get your vehicle paid off with them.
