Rooms To Go Damage to home

Damages flors, feasts on new don't door and much more. Careless delivery drivers damaged furniture did not accept Furniture driver put an x through my father's signature corporate Finally cold was totally rude they could care less they did not tell me when my house would be fixed they said I would hear from SEID insurance company. Which obviously works with Rooms to Go to part of Rooms to Go but? When they email you and they ask you for pictures and explanation? The email address that it sent from is a do not reply rooms to go so can you explain that to me

It's also the best is when I spoke to Mr. Anderson on the recorded line. He apologized for the driver forging my father's signature. I nearly fell on the flbar. I said are you recording this conversation? He said yes I said can I record it too? He said sure I nearly died I couldn't believe it

I never got notified about an answer to this complaint so that automatically resolved it. This is definitely not resolved. Corporate office is very a aggressive in their wording and DE meaning they have no care for their customer satisfaction nor to the damages to the property I. Will never do business with them again. I never got an email saying I had to answer rooms to go's response since I never know they even responded. I will refile I've already filed with consumer affairs and the Better Business Bureau. Now they neglect to answer calls and call back. It looks like we'll be going to small claims court

Rooms To Go Damage and servicing of furniture; quality of furniture

We purchased a complete bedroom, living room and dining room set in May of 2020. It took 4 bed frames, 2 dressers, and 2 coffee tables to get ones that were not damaged. For the dining room, a drawer in the sideboard was crooked so they replaced it however the replacement was the wrong color so they sent a whole new sideboard. The loveseat needed a replacement cushion due to a spot on it and instead of sending a loveseat cushion they sent a sofa cushion which was not the same size as the loveseat cushion. Again, they wound up sending a whole new loveseat instead of just the cushion. For all our trouble they gave us a $150 credit on the $7,000 + that we spent. So, we thought finally we had all the furniture we ordered in good condition, however, it did not take long to realize that this was not quality furniture. The finish has rubbed off the corners of the dining room table and sideboard. The two drawers in the bed frame have broken underneath somewhere. We purchased the furniture with a 7 year no interest financing and we feel that by time we pay the furniture off in 2027 we will have to purchase new furniture as this furniture is not going to hold up to everyday wear and tear. We have no pets or children.

Rooms To Go 5 drawer small chest

I ordered this on May 19th. When it arrived it was damaged. So ok They sent another and it wobbles. I want a full refund and want to return this and they are refusing. Beware of dealing with this store. I have received 3 defective products in the last few months.. These 2 just recently I want to return it and they say no. I had to start a dispute on my RTG credit card. After 2 bad products I did not want another. They refuse to let me return it. It was brand new shipped to my home. It was not on the floor. salesman Tod Strain ordered it for me from the website. Shop elsewhere or get burned or go through hell. If this is not settled quickly I will close my account. Don't need the stress or the grief of dealing with RTG!

Desired outcome: Return item for full refund 249.99 + tax total 274.36

Rooms To Go Brianne black daybed with trundle

Hi there, I wanted to bring to your attention that my day bed has broken. I'm disappointed because I've only had it for a year (online purchase 4/2022 after viewing at Alpharetta Ga location) and I expected it to last longer. It has not been used. I was moving it out of the way of workers and the mattress and slats fell. Close inspection showed the lip that supported the slats broke. Customer service rep and mgr were no help and just kept repeating that it was out of warranty and I didn't purchase the extended warranty. (first rep thought she had me on hold and said "no one told you to move the bed and break it) Really! Lesson learned but in my defense didn't think that a year out I'd have a problem with the furniture since I'd had no issues with purchases before. I would appreciate it if you could help me resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Desired outcome: Fix the bed and if not possible then replace it. It's a defective product!

Rooms To Go Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from them! Spent over 20,000 on furniture. When my furniture first arrived they damaged my door by trying to shove the couch through the door. Now come to today. I called to make a claim to Fortega, person who received claim was very rude and didn't even want to hear it and saying what I'm explaining is not covered without asking for proof. So they stated I needed to call rooms 2 go and schedule on my own to get a so called tech to see if he could fix the problem. Dude spent less than 3 minutes in my house and left. When I asked him what was next he stated.. I don’t know, you need to call. It’s been a month no word from Rooms to go or Fortega. I had to call back and spoke to a man. He was very rude and condescending and just kept stating my claim is denied over and over. When I asked why he stated pet odor. I stated what pet odor no answer. Just that is smelt like pets. I had 3 different claims one was a tear in the couch and it wasn’t covered due to pet odor. Total BS. I have a big family with and but a lot of furniture from Rooms to Go. I will not purchase anything else from them and spread the word to my family to take their business elsewhere as well. Terrible way to do business. Bunch of fraudsters and cons.

Desired outcome: Resolve the issue at hand. And let’s come to a understanding rather than just keep saying it’s denied

Rooms To Go RTG Houston Loveseat

#[protected] PWR reclining console loveseat. First delivery lumbar did not work. Week later delivery of another and seat cushion is not right. Clearly does not have same cushioning as other side. Tech comes out another week and takes back off and gives an excuse about glue! Purchase date 05/20/2023 and as of today waiting on report from tech to see what is going to happen. I fully expect this item to be replaced. After many, many purchases from RTG I am done at this point, customer service out right rude and don't care that you are unhappy with a 2000.00 POC

Desired outcome: want loveseat replaced immediately at this point

Rooms To Go Delivery

I am upset about my delivery. I got messages stating the window time frame but was never told I needed to be home. I wasn't home the day of my delivery, which is almost impossible because I work. I live in an apartment complex, the delivery driver could have taken my item to the the front office. Or there should be an option to deliver to your local store. Know I have to wait another week before I can fix my furniture.

Desired outcome: For the company to rebook at their delivery rules. 1. ask if client minds delivery to be left at door, or in my case with my front office. 2. have an option delivery to be at store.

Rooms To Go Horrible delivery experience

I purchased a sectional, the delivery was scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2023, between 3-7 pm. The tracker informed me that I was stop No. 1. Three pm came, 4pm came, 5pm came, 6pm came, 7pm came, no calls are emails letting me know when I would be receiving my furniture. At 8 pm, I called Rooms to Go to customer care, which closes at 8pm. I called the store where I purchased the furniture, he got in touch with delivery dispatcher, and was told they were at stop 8 and my furniture will be delivered. At 11pm I went to bed and shortly after the delivery truck rolled up to my house. I informed the driver that they will not deliver my furniture at this time of night, he told me they will come back the next day, Sunday. The furniture was delivered before 11am Sunday morning. I have called Rooms to Go on two occasions, no one has reached out to me or returned my phone calls. I missed a graduation and the graduation dinner, waiting for this sorry delivery. Rooms to Go has no regard of consumers tome. There are too many furniture stores in Houston that will value my time and respect that my time is valuable. Rooms to Go customer service is a joke.

Desired outcome: Would like a phone call apologizing for the horrible delivery service and an explanation of why this happened.

Rooms To Go Purchased mattress and box spring

I purchase the set on May 2, 2023.. mattress is wonderful, after trying five other mattresses from various vendors. This was a perfect match, however the box spring is 9 inches high. I called today asking to return the box spring for a small one. I’m not able to sit on the bed as it’s so high.

I was informed of a 90 day return policy at time of purchase. After three calls today, I was informed the 90 day policy is only for the mattress!

I’m 5 feet and have a high bed, I’m not able to sit on the bed and put my shoes on, or as most recent, my back went out and was extremely difficult to get on the bed. Extremely upset with rooms to go and will NEVER purchase items from them again.

Desired outcome: Exchange the box spring for a smaller height . I’ve purchased a mattress, I’ve purchased my living room set a TV case set , thousands of dollars and I can’t replace have my box spring. Extremely dissatisfied with Rooms to go

Rooms To Go Warranty claim denial rooms to go and fortegra

Despite my legitimate claim, both Rooms To Go and Fortegra Warranty Services have denied my request for repairs, leaving me with a damaged piece of furniture that is in need of immediate attention.

In January of 2022, I took delivery of the River Landing Gray Dual Power Reclining Sofa from Rooms To Go, which we had also purchased the extended warranty to protect against any manufacturing defects or structural issues. Yet, after a little over a year of owning the couch, I there is significant frame damage to the middle seat that has rendered the couch unusable and unsightly.

I promptly contacted Fortegra Warranty Services, the warranty provider associated with my purchase, to file a claim for the damaged couch. A technician came to look at the couch and agreed it was damaged and said they would be in touch to schedule the repair and pick up the couch for service.

However, after weeks of not hearing anything, I was shocked to learn they denied our warranty claim, citing reasons that are both unfounded and contrary to the terms outlined in the warranty agreement. I carefully reviewed the warranty agreement, and it clearly states that frame damage falls within the coverage scope. Therefore, it is unacceptable that my claim has been dismissed without proper resolution.

The couch has been used under normal conditions, with no rough handling, or any other misuse that could have contributed to the damage. It is evident that the damage occurred due to a manufacturing defect or substandard materials used in the construction of the couch. I believe this issue falls squarely within the warranty coverage and should be resolved accordingly.

Rooms To Go and its warranty provider, Fortegra, do not stand behind their products and instead use each other to give customers the run around, each blame the other and insist there is nothing they can do about it. The refused to re-evaluate the claim or send another technician out. Now I am stuck with a couch that is not even 2 years old, that I am still making payments on, and it is broken and unsightly.

Rooms To Go Sectional - RAF Chaise Platinum

We bought a sectional at Rooms To Go in June 2nd, 2020 and we paid extra $67.13 for the Fortegra 3-year Guard It extended warranty. Before June 2nd, 2023, during regular usage of the sofa (no kids at home, nobody has jumped on the sofa, just regular sitting and lying down on the chaise, the material got ripped and it looks horrible now. By what I understand, sofas are not made to last less than 3 years, nor need to be changed during that period of time. When we contacted Fortegra about the warranty we were denied, of course. I do not feel that it is fair though, although the contract states that rips during regular usage are not covered by them, I would never expect this to happen in this very short time for such an expensive product.

Desired outcome: I would like to have this piece replaced because I do not think it can be decently fixed.

Rooms To Go Refund policy in case of emergency/medical

I purchased a sofa, loveseat and 2 recliners on Monday, May 28 and May 29th. My husband, who is 79, fell later that week and was admitted to ER. Life changed as we may need assisted living arrangements now. Explained to

Customer service what happened and was told their "policy" is to only refund 80% of the purchase after 48 hours (2 days). It didn't matter we were only 3-4 days out and that delivery was well over 5 days out. Furniture was not even on the truck yet. Depending on the future, I may never need that 20% store credit. You are not told this "policy" at time of purchase. You eSign and initial on their tablet, so you don't see the fine print about this unless you stand there and read all 5 pages of fine print. This is a very poor practice for seniors who have a life event that was not planned.

Desired outcome: Full credit of the purchases of $4,888.63. No store credit.

Rooms To Go Buyer information

Buyers please be Aware of the "NO RETURN POLICY" that was not posted anywhere in the store nor was it communicated by the sales associate. I am a shopper that will shop at high end or budget efficient stores as long as the quality and look complete the vision I'm aiming to achieve. I'm decorating my living room and decided to stop in RTG as I drove by. I have been having a $2500 credit account with them that I had not used. As soon as I entered, I immediately noticed 2 printed ottoman that I thought would blend well with the decor in my LR. I did a quick walk around the store and decided to purchase the ottomans. No one greeted or assisted me when I initially walked in, so I found a sales associate sitting at a table close to the ottoman and told her I'd like to purchase them. I asked if they had 2 new ones in the back and she went check with the warehouse and came back and said no. I made my purchase, and she directed me to the back for pick up. She also told me not to worry if it takes a minute before I get a statement, she assured me that it will come. (That was our interaction... no more no less.)

When I got home, I place both ottoman in my LR and immediately I realized the pattern was clashing with the room, but I didn't want to make a hasty decision so for a week I rearranged the room to see if it would blend... it didn't. On the 10th day I went in to return them, tags still attached and the young guy in the office burst out laughing when I explained that I wanted to return them. I didn't get what was so funny. He then said jokingly, "We don't take stuff back." I honestly thought he was joking and very unprofessional, so I asked for a manager because at this point, I was very confused. The manager who was in the room and overheard the situation spoke to me very bluntly, with no regard to the fact that her associates are not telling people in advance that you can't return, which leaves the customer feeling scammed. She agreed that they may not have told me but still refused to accommodate me even after I asked her to run the tape back. The entire time her and I were having an exchange the young guy continuously laughed as if to mock me. It was truly an unbelievable and horrible situation that I never imagined. Even after making her aware that she needs to train her associates, her attitude and unprofessionalism made me realize that she too needs to be trained. I left with my ottomans that they forced me to keep but they can't force me to shop with them again or use the credit that I have with them. They will lose more than they gain with that attitude. This happened on Memorial Day 5/29 at the ROOMS TO GO on 5800 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, La 70003, Store #606, Manager: Erica

Desired outcome: Return items back to card or store credit along with an apology from the Manager Erica because good service starts with a good leader!

Rooms To Go Delivery service/setup fee

We ordered a sofa sleeper on 5/6 which was delivered on 5/17. We paid $169.99 as a Delivery and Setup fee. When the sofa sleeper was delivered, it was not able to be set up because it was packaged without the sofa legs. It was left on the floor in our living room (and not in the proper place) and the mattress which was part of the sleeper was kept in a guest room. We were told by the delivery person that he put in a note in the account that the legs should be shipped so that another technician could be assigned finish the job, and that this would happen within a day or so. We made a phone call after a few days and was told that the legs would be shipped and once we receive the legs, that they would assign someone to finish the job. After a week, this still did not happen and we had to make a second phone call. Today marks 2 weeks of inconvenience without a usable sofa, in the wrong place and with the mattress as well in the wrong place. Since we paid for the Delivery/Setup, it should have been complete the day we received the sofa sleeper; instead it has been 2 weeks. If this had been resolved within a day or two with no additional inconvenience of having to follow up and wait, this would have been understandable.

Rooms To Go Lanzo reclining loveseat has mechanical issues.

We purchased a Lanzo off-white loveseat and sofa February, 2023. This is our third set, all of which had functional problems within the first two months of purchase. The first pieces were bent and the seats were tilted. We were told by the delivery man that they had been replacing the Lanzo pieces frequently because of manufacturing issues.

The units are assembled upon delivery so each side is a separate piece. On the second set, the right unit on the sofa was bent and on the loveseat the right unit was bent as well as leather scraped off on the console. Now the third set, the loveseat has mechanical issues that make a clunking sound while reclining and raising the right side and it is tilted to the outside. An elderly repairman (said he was tired) came out to look, sat in it, reclined it, returned it to regular position, got up and walked out. He said we would hear from Rooms to Go within three days. We called after five days and the representative (firm and somewhat rude) said the repairman reported there was nothing wrong with it. He did not look at the mechanisms underneath. Not to mention that we haven't even used the sofa so we aren't sure there isn't something wrong with it as well.

The representative at Customer Care said that we had thirty days to go into the store and choose something else or we are out of luck. The store doesn't have anything even close to these two beautiful white sofas so that isn't an option. There is a one year Limited Warranty for defective merchandise with three options, repair, replace or refund. They have replaced with more defective merchandise. They have not offered to repair and the person they sent to the house most likely isn't capable of repairing. And they refuse to refund.

Desired outcome: Desired outcome would be to send a qualified furniture mechanic to evaluate and repair if possible. Otherwise, a refund is requested.

Within four hours I had a response and within a day they agreed to a return and full return of my payment. I was very pleased with how quickly they responded and how they were willing to honor my request.

Rooms To Go Dining set and rude customer service

I purchased a sofa recliner and dinning set. They came to deliver the the dinning set and the legs were both the same so they could not set it up. I was having company. for dinner that weekend. Well they could not get the new legs for another week. Everyone had to sit with their plates on their lap it was a little hard to cut up meat like that. After they came and set the table up I was cleaning the glass table and there was a scratch in the glass and a foot piece missing from one of the chairs. I called and asked them to come and get the set. The woman I spoke to the first time was very nice. She said she would get back to me. I did not hear from her for a week. I called again and received a different woman. This woman was very rude and told me it was to late to return the set as I only had 48 hours to call about a glass item. I told her I was not told that when I purchased the set She said there was signs in the store. I stated that I did not read any signs as I was there to shop. I was going to get another set that was not glass. Well they shiped me a foot piece that was missing and it ia the wrong piece. I was going to get a bedroom set next for when when my grand kids came over After that experience I will no longer shop at Rooms to go. signed Unhappy customer Lynn Brown

Rooms To Go Electronic recliner

Chair stopped working. Guy came over to fix it said motor is shot. This was 3 weeks ago. Said motor would be sent to my house, no motor. I called last week spoke to a david and said supervisor would call me back, he did not. Called today may 18th was told by donna order was sent for motor may 17th. Are you kidding. This is the 2nd or 3rd awful chair I have had to get fixed or change to another. Stop selling crappy merchandise. Help us. We have a lounge chair that doesn't recline, we are older people.

Rooms To Go Cindy Crawford Monterey Park Sectional

After searching numerous furniture shops, my husband and I found this comfortable sectional in store. We waited several months for it to be delivered. Although I wasn’t happy with the color, almost looked like a dirty grey, we decided to work with it because we did not want be without a couch for another several months. It has been 2 years since we purchased the couch and it has been the most regretful purchase we have made. It only took about 5 months until we had to start alternating the cushions weekly as they all started to sink; this made very little difference. We have purchased pads and small pillows to put underneath the bottom cushions for minimal support. My husband and I purchased this deep set couch for comfort as we are both tall but instead we are having to lift ourselves up out of the holes that are now in every single cushion. The back cushion is no better as it has morphed into an odd shape and it is extremely uncomfortable to lean on. This couch has very little traffic as my husband and I both work full time. I wouldn’t recommend calling the store as they were little help with suggestions. You can’t reallly tell how poorly structured this couch is made by looking at it but once you sit down, good luck getting up.

Desired outcome: I would happily trade this in for a better structured sectional or receive a discount on a future purchase.

Rooms To Go Leather chair

Ordered dual power leather sofa and recliner after looking everywhere for a while.

We paid 3300.00 and also bought the useless 3 year warranty. It was delivered on April 5 2022. This happened on or about April 14, 2023.

Our dog peed on the arm of the chair and we patted it to remove all the urine. About a week later, the leather began to fade and weaken and now the leather is peeling and there are 2 small holes there.

We immediately moved the chair into the guest bedroom the day it happened to keep her from doing it again in the same spot.

Fortegra denied the claim and sent me a copy of the warranty! I sent pictures to show the chair is in perfect condition except for that arm. All I want is the chair repaired or a new chair. We absolutely love this set.

Rooms To Go Cindy Crawford home sofa and loveseat lether

I purchased Cindy Crawford "leather" sofa and loveseat about 6 years ago. I noticed that the "leather" started peeling like a popcorn between the seats and on the back top, and definitely nobody is near or touching that part of either couches.

I purchased "leather" because I had purchased the Nattuzi leather 23 years prior to this set, but I wanted a new look, not because they were looking bad whatsoever. So I purchased the Cindy Crawford HOME Orange/ rust color set, but what I got it's not what I paid for.

I went 1 time and nobody seems to know or care if you not making a purchase.

Desired outcome: I want to see if they can be fix since the leather part is in excellent condition.

You put RESOLVED, but its NOT RESOLVED what so ever. They want the receipt that i don't have. 👍 Thanks, I'm guessing i have to go to my nearest Rooms to go, and see if they can help if not I'll have to throw them away.
