Papa John's Pizza

Received our pizza tonight. It was burned, the vegetables were almost unrecognizable, the sauce wasn't even to edge of the pizza. We ordered black olives put on only half the pizza and it was on the whole darn thing. On the side of the box it says well done. I have never ordered a pizza well done and we have been ordering from the same Papa Johns for 20+ years. It looked burnt and tasted burnt. No more Papa Johns for us, we'll go to Dominos!

Papa John's Wrong order, professionalism

My order was wrong I took the pizza back explain to the young kids In the place they made a big deal about it kept having to repeat my order everyone crowded around about my wrong order they messed up Being unprofessional because it’s a bunch of young kids work there. Papa John's My pizza and cheese stix..

I ordered a 14" all meats thin crust pizza and an order of cheesestix and told them on the special requests line, to bring plates and napkins and the estimated delivery time was 31 mins.. After an hour and 10 mins i called the papa johns to find out why my food wasnt here yet. I was told they had computer problems and driver had five deliveries. So, an hour and 5 mins late it finally arrived.. Pizza was ice cold, cheesestix were real tough and cold, and he brought me four plates and no napkins. After waiting so long for the food, me and my wife was on our way to bed because it was so late and nothing else was open to eat at. They never offered me a discount or anything for the late and screwed up food.. I shouldn't have paid for it and sent it back but we were starving. Its ridiculous and i m very disappointed with the papa johns in Newport tn, and doubt will ever use them again..

Desired outcome: I want all my cash money i spent, fully reimbursed, and the 5 dollar tip I gave the driver.. $ 26.62 for the food and plus $ 5.00 tip is== 31.62.

Papa John's Lightning win and 50% off. Not easy to do online so you pay what you do by phone.

Live in Florida and you have 50% off if Lightnings win. It has to be done online and your online does not work with ease. So I ordered by phone and paid the price they gave me. When the Bolts win and you advertise it you should make it simple for users. Pizza good but think if I ordered online I would have save $5. A coupon would be nice as customer service since this is the first time I have used you and want to see how you feel. Thanks!

Live in Florida and if Bolts win you get 50% off but must do on line which you don't make it easy. Ordered on phone and paid the price w/ no Bolt win discount. Should be easier to order a pizza and this my first time with you. I think customer service should be easier nad like to know how you feel. Thanks!

I had the worst experience last night after waiting over an hour for my delivery order. My kids were starving and I ordered pizza as a treat. It was not even eaten well as it was cold and there was no sauce. It was like they missed a complete step. The kids were dissatisfied and I was highly disappointed. Second time I've had a bad experience with this location.

Papa John's Product and service

Got wrong pizza, called corporate phone number, rep said I would get phone call from manager at Mud Lane Store Louisville KY, charged me double, waited 2 hours for pizza delivery, store won't answer phones when people call, and when a person does answer, its not the store but some foreign person that can't speak english correctly and gives attitude when speaking. This store doesn't do anything but rob people of their money and can care less about quality. Then when they do deliver get a disgusting looking individual and that obviously doesn't have good hygein and who knows what germs, covid, or whatever else they have. If this isn't a reason to file a complaint, I don't know what is. UNACCEPTABLE!

Desired outcome: I want a couple pizzas as credit and an apology from manager. I also want corporate to reprimand this store and proof this is done.

Papa John's Delivery service for pizza ordered

We ordered pizza at 6:45 p.m. and since we had not received the pizza by 8:30 p.m. I called the Papa John's pizza place we ordered from. The first girl told me I wish you would have called earlier as we only have one driver and everybody has to order thru door dash so she got the manager on the phone.
She said the guy had just returned so I asked about how long 30 min, an hour and only answers I could get from the manager were I don't know.
My son worked at a pizza place and was laughing at the I don't know answers.
So the time we received our pizzas was: at 8:49 - so it took two hours and ten minutes to deliver a slightly warm pizza. NOT HAPPY
And my card has already been charged for the pizzas.

Desired outcome: I think we should get the exact same order free soon or don't charge me for my order tonight.

Papa John's bad pizza

Bought a large, 3 topping, thin crust pizza. Paid $35 with tax and delivery, pizza was terrible, crust was way too thin, falling apart and hardly any toppings. What toppings that were there were very skimpy and hardly any cheese. Purchased in Kingston, ON. online. Never will buy from Papa John's again and will certainly tell our friends and family about this.

6/13/2021 Earlier today I placed order with Papa Johns in 185 Straight Street Paterson NJ 07501. Upon arrival my order of Honey chipotle wings was sent with Long string of hair in it which is unacceptable. All restaurants should have their employees work with hair nets at all time specially the cooks!

Papa John's Delivery

Almost every time I order online me for delivery, when it is almost time for me to receive my order, I get a call from the store manager telling me he doesn't have a delivery driver! This has happened several times. First, if you do not have enough delivery drivers on staff, I should be allowed to order delivery on line. Secondly, why wait until the food is supposed to be delivered then call me and tell me you don't have a driver. If I wanted my food delivered by DoorDash, I would ordered through them! One manager even tried to get snappy with me when he had to call me several times before I answered. How many people in this world answer unknown phone calls? Not me! This is poor customer service and I will not be ordering food from them again.

Desired outcome: More delivery drivers, better customer service from store managers and my food!

Papa John's Ignored by corporate / they don't care about service

I wrote the Mr. Lynch the CEO and Mr. Linhardt the head of marketing and neither responded to my direct letter. I post it below:

Wow, what a horrible experience we had ordering from Papa John's! From start to sad finish, this story shows a business with poor business practice, substandard communication systems and the worst customer service that I have seen in years. I am 95% sure that this letter will end up in a pile of unanswered letters or more likely passed on by you to the owner of the store that will then ignore the situation.

Please note that I contacted Ms. Madeline Chardwick, your SVP Communications via her telephone number of [protected]. However, she has yet to return the call. Since communications was such a big part of the ""failure"" from our order I thought that contacting her may be the better place to start. The fact that she did not return my call confirms my thought that your company does in fact need to improve its communication and/or your concept of good customer service.

As most of the world knew, Sunday, February 14 was Valentine's Day. This in the marketing world is known as the chocolate and restaurant holiday. So perhaps, Papa Johns was a bit unprepared to be busy. At 6:00, we decided to get pizza delivered for dinner, Papa John's, or Dominos?

We looked up the Cliffside Park, NJ location, called and verified that they deliver to our apartment building. By 6:15 our order was placed. We specifically asked about the estimated time for delivery. The young man in your corporate call center (not the actual location where we called because we hit "1" to place a new order) said it would take an hour.

We almost cancelled right then and there. But the children wanted pizza and were willing to wait one hour. We ordered about $50 worth of food and added a nice, but not overly generous tip. Please note that we order 2 large, stuffed crust pizzas one with cheese and the other pepperoni, chicken wings, garlic knots and a large, orange soda.

At 7:20, I called to inquire as to our order. I hit the button to inquire. It rang several times, I got sales pitches that were way too loud, it rang again and then it disconnected!

So, I called and hit the number to place a new order. I got a person who told me (from the call center) that it was Valentine's Day (really?) and that they were much busier than anticipated. He said that it would take "another 30 minutes, ok?" and I told him that it was certainly not alright. If we had known it would be 90 minutes, we would not have ordered. He said the snow and traffic are holding up the order. That was almost comical since there was no snow or traffic in my area last night. He said that he would transfer me to the manager. So, he did. The line rang several times, I got sales pitches that were way too loud, it rang again, I got sales pitches again and then after 10 minutes of this cycle, it disconnected.

So, I tried again. The young man who answered this time, apologized but all he could do was transfer me to the manager of the store. He said that he would wait on the line with me. He transferred the call but after the second cycle of rings and sales pitches, he was gone from the line without a "goodbye" or "tough luck lady." I continued with the sales pitches that were way too loud, it rang again, I got sales pitches again and then after about 5 minutes of this cycle, it disconnected.

On my next attempt, he promised me that he would have a manager call me back in 10 minutes.

When no return call was received as I was promised, I tried again. This time I asked for a manager of the call center. Did you know that you do not have a manager or supervisor available at your call center? All Donald, Pablo, and the other order takers that I spoke with could do was transfer me to the store that absolutely NEVER actually answers the phone.

Once one of them transferred and we did not get the sales pitches that were way too loud, we got a message that said, "all lines were busy and to try again later." That order taker was so tongue tied trying to tell me that I would have to try again that he gave up and disconnected me!

The last call we placed on Sunday night was around 8:45 about 2 ½ hours after ordering and an hour and ½ after the pizza should have arrived. The employee offered to transfer me, but my family was hungry, and we just told him to cancel the order. He agreed to remove the charge and cancel the order.

Ten minutes later, we get a call from security that we had a food delivery. Yes, a man came to our door with boxes. I specially asked him if it was still hot and he assured me that it was. When I asked him about the delivery time, another guy with him popped up and told me that it was Valentine's Day and that they were busy, but the food was hot.

Perhaps you should get your employees a dictionary so that they can see the definition of "hot." The food was not only stone cold and congealed, but we ended up with a black olive pizza that NO ONE in the house wanted! There was no pepperoni and no way in the world to call the store.

This morning I checked my Discover credit card account. Yep—I got fed another lie from your employee because the charge was there. I placed a call to the store. This very lackadaisical voice answered and did not state who she was. So, I very nicely asked for a manager. Oops, my mistake that was the manager! So, I asked her name since she was not offering it after I introduced myself.

Stacey heard me recount just some of my story then said, "what do you want me to do about it? I was not here last night. The assistant manager was." Even your poor call center guys who had control in the sad situation knew enough to start with an apology!

I told her that I expected a refund as I had cancelled the order at the 2 ½ hour mark. She agreed but said that I needed to wait 48 hours. Then I asked if the store was a franchise or corporate owned. She told me that it was a franchise, but she does not know the owner's name! That is either the part of the problem or another lie from another Papa Johns employee. How can she be a manager of a store and never know the owner, who is "her boss?"

You need to provide realistic estimates for delivery times (even on holidays), you need to get supervisors into the order center, you need to be sure that the order center can speak to a live human being in the individual stores, if your employee says that the manager will call a customer back then you need to make sure the manager calls the customer back, you need to turn the sales pitch off when one is waiting to find out about an order, you need to turn down the volume on the noise when on hold, you need to put a sign in every store with a name and contact address for someone who is responsible for things, you need to find a way to get the order correct, you need to find a way to deliver hot food and you need to reassure us that should we order again no one spits on our food in retaliation for this letter.

At least when I checked my Discover card charges to see if Stacey followed through, it did show the credit.

I look forward to your reply as I am anxious to go to Yelp next. We were disappointed and aggravated beyond belief.

Desired outcome: I would like both gentlemen to acknowledge receipt of this information. In addition, I would like the name and contact number for the owner of the Cliffside Park, NJ operation.

Papa John's .I order a pizza last night.i called in .the order .the driver never called my phone .I called the store .the manager said my address said lake mc queeny .I said to the manager sin e when farm market road turn into a lake mc queeny .my neighbor said papa John's never got out the car .never knocked on my door.the manager said .I live in lake mc queeny what a habitually lair so I called the store a hour later .I said .checking on my pizza

Papa John's Unauthorised credit card changes/wrong food order

Dear Sir/Madam
On Friday 30th April 2021, my Husband Dean Parsall placed an online order with your Braintree order, and they took the money twice.
We ordered 1x All the Meats, 1x Chicken Poppers, 1x hot piri piri poppers, 1x cheesey jalepeno bites, 1x cheesy potato tos with bacon...

What we received was 2x all the meats (Supposedly - we have a photo of the pizza and there is hardly any meat on it at all)... the second pizza had pineapple on which i am allergic too, so we would not have ordered that... the cheesy potato tots with bacon had 3 pieces (1 cm diameter) of bacon on it, and burnt cheese...

We tried phoning hte store over 35 times as it took over an hour to be delivered, and the response we got was "phone head office"... and when the delivery guy turned up he just shrugged at us, as if we were us at fault for the delay in the pizza turning up ...

When we sat down to eat the food it was disgusting and in the end we threw the potato tots away, the whole of the second pizza (which we did not order) as i am seriously allergic to pineapple, and we tried the all the meats pizza but it was disgusting and we ate about 4 slices ... the rest went in the bin. We have photo's of the disgusting food that was supposed to be "All the meats".

I will not be using your braintree branch again -

Papa John's unfairness in recruitment

about 10 days ago I had an interview with a manager of papa john's and I was asked to come in for a trail the day after at 3. I went there at 3 and someone else instead of that manager was running the shift who completely denied having in the store. I called his manager and had to make them have a discussion about this issue, finally he asked me to come in at 6 and start. I went there, made pizzas, made the orders and everything at time, as my 1 and a half year experience at papa john's at another store helped me bring my skills here too. I asked him if when you want me to come back again or if you didn't like my work I could look for another job. he asked me to bring in my documents tomorrow and start work. I took time off the college and went to the shop to bring them my documents but he denied taking my documents and asked me to come back on Friday (two days time) at an unknown time, I asked him if when he want me to come in and he asked me for my mobile number, saying he would call me and let me know about the time. I waited for the next 5 days waiting for his call but I didn't receive any call or text. I texted him back on the same number but I didn't get any response in return. I decided to show up to the shop the following Monday hoping to know what happened and why? I found out they completely dumped me, saying I never went to the shop on my second day or showed up which he clearly said he would call me, he could not even make an eye contact when I told him in front of everyone that I waiting on his call with a big smile on my face, I was here waiting to get call or a response, while I could looking for another job during this period. They promised me the job but wasted my time and had me waiting for it. I truly believe this is so unfair and the fact that I got a legal verbal contract which was broken without my knowledge or consent. I am not sure if they done that intentionally or unintentionally but this should not happen to someone else and they must acknowledge that this act was not legal and hurtful.

+ 19th April 2021 my trail for over three hours (6pm to 9pm)

Desired outcome: a warning and inform employees not to repeat again with anyone else. respect individual's .
