Essentially..."Just pay your bills" means..."Just don't make me do my job" DebtorBasher (09/23/2005) Maddy...one of the first things we are trained about ...AFTER the FDCPA training, is how to spot a "Professional Debtor". These are people who's accounts show obvious "check kiting", people who have a history of excuses, just to get out of paying bills, etc...these are NOT the people who have been a victim of fraud, misapplied payments, or fallen into a financial hardship...so, yes, there is such a thing as a Professional Debtor...EJack is a borderline "PD" when he states that he would let a bill go on purpose, and wait for a collection agency to call, and try to trap them into a violation so he can sue and make money...these are professional... more >>

DebtorBasher (04/08/2009) Allowed to get away with it? It is your responsibility to keep track of your transactions...showing a "pending" transaction is a courtesy not a requirement. But I do agree, it does make things much easier when it's right in front of you. Most likely, they are hoping on the fact that not everyone keeps track of their transactiions...especially debits, and will cause overdraft fees to collect on...that's how they make money. ................................................................ Don't get me wrong I have no love for BoA and I wouldn't doubt the change was done to garner more fees BUT it's for your own good to keep track of your checking account. It's really quite simple. Myself I use quicken. I enter all my debit transactions daily in fact I devote at least 15 minutes a day to my finances. I look at like brushing my teeth or taking a shower just something you habitually do every day. It's an awesome habit to get into.

Coca-Cola Complaint New 2 Liter And 20 Ounce Bottles 8 Helpful Votes Posted By: DebtorBasher on 6/23/2009 I love my Coke and I drink it everyday. But, I have now found reason to make an official complaint about my favorite pop (POP! Not soda...just pop...P-O-P...POP). They've come out with a new design for their 2 liter bottles. It's more of the shape of the old glass Coke bottles(according to my Much Older Brother's memory), which would be just fine...BUT, not they are a bit taller and I had to adjust the shelf in my refrigerator just to be able to set it upright. Ok, no big deal you say, but now that makes my other shelf space much smaller and I have to lay my Miracle Whip jar down and put my pickle jars on the door shelf and re-arrange my entire fridge! Not only are the bottles taller, but the plastic they are made of seems much thinner. If you try to grasp it to pour the pop, the bottle collapse right in your hand and if the bottle is full, your grasp will force a waterfall to spurt out all over! Now...for the 20 ounce sized bottles. They have changed the screw on lids. Now, they are smaller so you can't get much of a grip on it, they are smoother so, again, you can't get much of a grip on it to turn...on top of that, you have to play around with the lid to get it to screw back on straight because it won't happen the first one, two or three times without it going on crooked. The only complaint I had with the old 2 liter bottles was that the bottom of them were not flat I had to place it just right on the fridge racks so they would balance. No, I'm not going to 'boycott' the company and I'm not gonna turn to Poopsi either...I want my Coke, I'm just not happy with the bottles. The Basher has spoken.
