I am furious with Kaplan University online. They have blocked out of my classes, left me with an outstanding balance, and has prevented me from finishing my online degree. If there is anyone out there experiencing the same problems please post a reply. mansley_7@hotmail.com Michelle Ansley

Hey im going through the same situation, i saw your post, when i first signed up they told me that i had to pay $15 a month and then they call me and tell the me that i have to pay $197 and im two months past due i was like wtf? you guys never told me that they first take all my financial aid money and they say that whatever is not used will be used to get my books. I honestly should have just gone to a local college instead of going with them.

Well, I am thinking about taking legal action against them. Did you know they have a pending lawsuit against them for Financial Aid fraud? I am thinking that I need to try and reach as many previous or current kaplan students who are going through the same thing, so that an attorney can be contacted. In addition a class action suit should be filed against them. This is not about trying to score big with a lawsuit to get money. This is about our education, and having a debt that we can not pay without our degrees. I have worked to hard to have my dreams and goals snatch away from me by Kaplan. I am not going to tolerate their actions. I am 40 years old and I have a 9 year old daughter, plus a bed ridden mother in whom I am the primary caregiver. I am not going to take this laying down. Well, I am doing some research on Kaplan University and guess what people, KAPLAN IS NOT ACCREDITED WITH ANY AGENCY! That's right, they are not accredited with any accredited agency. I smell LAWSUIT! Michelle Ansley
