Norton The Norton Anti-Virus service for PC

I have been charged on my credit card for a s purchase that I did not authorize. I do not know how you got my new credit card number. I have not requested your security service for my computer. I filed a fraud dispute with Bk of America, but today my banking app showed they are paying you $111.29 on Oct.25 and the initial charge was on Aug 19. I immediately asked the company to reopen the fraud dispute. i have tried to call your number many times, but always get a busy signal!

Please consider looking over your records and prove to me that this is a legitimate transaction. My computer does not reflect that. It does not show that I have your security antivirus system on my PC.

Norton norton virus and lifelock

I have never signed up for Norton, but somehow n SEPTEMBER 14TH 104.99 was taken out of my credit card. I have been told for almost two months they would call me or email me to refund my money back. That was over a month and a half ago. So my next step is to sue.

my money back on my card within 24 hrs after you receiving this complaint. You have upon reading all of the complaints with other consumers Norton has done this type of illegal practice to many people. I will get an attorney and file a law

I received my chase credit card bill the other day. I noticed a purchase on my chase credit card bill, for something I never purchased. On 09/21/22, norton took $137.18 and charged me without my authorization. They charged me for services I never bought. I think this is very dishonest and would appreciate you looking into this. What norton I do have was bought in the store.

In data 12/10/2022 ho acquistato in un supermercato il SW Norton (Carrefour Massa), ho inserito i codici di attivazione e non ho potuto scaricare e rendere attivo il sw in quanto la procedura mi richiede di inserire i dati di rinnovo tramite VISA che attualmente e' scaduta e non dispongo della nuova Visa in attesa di apertura nuovo cc e nuova Visa.

Richiedo ogni necessaria istruzione per rendere operativo un sw acquistato e impossibilitato ad utilizzarlo a causa della procedura che obbliga inserire i dati rinnovo con la Visa.

Norton The renewal of my yearly contract with norton.

On the 05 October 2022, I contacted Norton to renew my yearly contract. I told the agent I was making contact so that I was not billed by your automatic renewal at a cost of £99.99 which was dated to be taken from my account on the 06 October 2022, even though my contact does not end until the 10 November 2022.

Your agent told me I could renew for another year for £39.99. which I did. Case Number for this chat and this renewal was [protected].

Now on the 10 October 2022, I tried to use Norton’s utilities program, my computer screen said reactivate to repair and still does say this. As I am unable to reactivate this Utilities program, I therefore contacted Norton again through your chat line and soon discovered I had been misled, as I was told the utilities was not included in the contract, As I was making no progress with this agent, I asked to speak with a supervisor and repeatedly had to ask to speak with a supervisor, in fact four times. When the supervisor did connect to chat to me things went from bad to worse. Your case number for the

10 October 2022 chat was [protected]

I eventually asked to be given the name and address to submit a complaint and was told by this supervisor, that he was sorry he does not have a name and address for me to submit my complaint and that I would be called back at Norton’s convenience not mine.

You will see by the chat details that clear information was not being provided and I was being misled by the responses to my questions. I have the transcripts of these chats.

I consider that my time has been wasted and I also consider my time is valuable, therefore I do not expect to have to chase Norton to find out why as I thought the contract was not a straight renewal. I have been a loyal customer of Norton, but this has angered me. The answers to my questions have been confusing and misleading.

The response of your supervisor is unacceptable to me, just read his solutions to a problem that I had not asked him about. I have provided you with the case numbers above.

Your response to my complaint will guide me if I continue to use Norton’s service after the expiry on the 10 November 2023. We have not even reached the 10 November 2022 which is the present expiry date of my contract.

Norton Technical support staff inadequacies- i am locked out of my account

August 12 2022, I was locked out of my norton account due to a 2 factor misunderstanding (I did not understand how to use the authentication app and therefore used the 10 "backup codes" they provided assuming I would get more when I used them up). On that day, I used my last backup code thinking I would receive more going forward, but I did not. being locked out of my account I called the customer service line who said they would call me back. they called once, at my work when I wasn't there. I called them back 3 more times until finally someone put me through to the level 2 department- they called it escalating my case. someone remotely entered my computer and verified that I had used up all my back up codes and that I did not have the authenicator app required for 2 factor sign in. date was: Aug 26th, 2022. They said they would call me back after they spoke to their supervisor...I waited 2 days with not call. I called them again. This agent told me I had been escalated to a level 3 case and that someone should be returning my call in 2 to 3 weeks. I waited...no one called me back. Sept 19 I called again. this time the agent told me that someone had de-escalated my case and removed my spot in line for level 3 techincal support. the supervisor that day assured me that he would resubmit my claim to level 3 and that someone would call me back in 2-3 weeks. MOndy Oct 3, 2022 was 3 weeks and no one has contacted me from Norton. This is ridiculous. I cannot sign into my account to access any of my private information or make changes to my software. the staff they use overseas are inadequate and have wasted countless hours of my time.

On checking my credit card statement today I note that a payment of £64.99 was taken on the 02 September 2022 for a renewal on the 02 October 2022. I already have a live subscription under my email address [protected]@gmail.com so please arrange an immediate refund of £64.99 as this is not required and I have now cancelled the automatic renewal which I was not previously aware of.

Please confirm by return please.

Also it is extremely difficult to make contact with you when I am working full time and do not have time to stay on hold and you do not provide contact email addresses.

Norton Norton Anti Tracking

My name is Tom Duttmann. My case number is [protected]. Recently I purchased the Norton Ultimate on the understanding that my package would provide me with full protection against viruses, malware etc. During a 'Smart Scan' process, Norton noted that 13 websites were tracking my online activity and the solution was to purchase 'Norton Anti Tracking'. I decided to do so but could not because I live in Hong Kong and this feature is apparently not available in Hong Kong. So my questions are: 1) why is Norton prescribing a solution to me that I can't purchase? ii) if Norton could not sell me a product that provided full protection, then why prescribe it as a solution when it is not available to me? That just tells me I'm not fully protected. iii) If Norton couldn't provide me with full protection, why wasn't I cautioned at the time of my purchase that Norton could only provide me with 'partial protection' because I am in Hong Kong? (and not in US or Australia). This seems like misrepresentation of your company's product; and; v) why am I using Norton, who can't protect me and not McAfee or other?

Desired outcome: I want Anti Tracking added to my Norton package.

Norton Norton 360 - Subscription

Pls read the original case info - I then spent about 20mins online then by phone to two ppl who had NO idea how to send a txt message to Australia!

All I want to do is update my subscription details from my old PayPal acct which is no longer used and an old email addy [protected]@bigpond.net.au which I no longer have access to! - If so I would have logged in and updated my details including my email addy.

FYI the last subscription was PAYPAL *NORTON [protected] AUS on 17th Aug 2021

So basically I want to update my email address to [protected]@gmail.com then add my credit card for future payments!

I appreciate all the security but so far this is crazy! :-(

Norton Norton Technical Support

Rang Norton Technical Support for assistance in switching off anti-track for specific sites. The first lady took twenty minutes to get my email address right then passed me on to another person who wanted my email address again, then couldn't answer my question, put me on hold then hung up - half an hour of a completely wasted call. Absolutely hopeless. Not buying anything from Norton again.

i have product key, yet you still demand my bank details why? this is serious because i have a key and you asking my bank details you looking like a con...

also i must complain about the phone call i tried twice and first time i was hun up on, i asking to speak to manager or supervisor, second time i hung up, the person wanted to control pc yet still wanted bank details so no no no, ok, this way to activate product is certainly not acceptable.

are you deliberately ripping me off, why would you need bank details when i have the key to activate, why would you need my back information when product is paid for?

Norton antivirus is a subscription based antivirus program. the key only means you have a legally obtained copy of their software. it is [last i looked at a box] mentioned on the box of it being subscription based with a 30 day trial. the credit card is for once the 30 days is over that the subscription starts.

As for how they acted on the phone... they do that sometimes when they are unable to hear the customer, they dont calm down, or they basically not able to assist someone due to them [the customer] being angery. one of my friends this happened to, i called for them and was able to get the issue resolved peacefully by talking and not getting mad.

Norton Norton Lifelock 360

Ever since I renewed my subscription to Norton Lifelock 360 I have been unable to get an install on my MacBook Pro with Monterrey without getting the following error code upon reboot: "Norton 360 is unable to continue. Please restart your Mac to stay protected. If the problem still persists. lease click here." Following instructions to uninstall and reinstall 5 times resulted in the same error message as did efforts by 3 Norton agents who took control of my Mac. I have spent numerous hours online and on phone trying to resolve this problem over a long period of time since my renewal. The latest case number was [protected] and I was told that the case would be escalated to a higher level for resolution and I would receive a phone call within 24 hours. No call was ever received. Finally, I purchased a protection program from another vendor and called Norton for a refund, but was told that I was ineligible to receive this because I had exceeded Norton's 60 day window--even though I had never been able to successfully install and use Lifelock software on my Mac. To say I am frustrated would be an understatement.

Norton Overall Experience

I recently purchased Norton's security suite and now remember why I opted a couple of years ago for one of your competitors. Norton is the most intrusive - in your face -batch of security software that I have ever seen in the my nearly 40 years of computing. "Do this." "Do that." "You're not using all of the features." "Buy another service and you'll be fully protected."

It's irritating as hell. I don't know what I was thinking when I gave Norton my money and signed up. You are just as bad as Intuit. Now, THAT'S BAD!

Norton Extremely poor customer service resulting in a mobile phone bill of £138.65

I called over a month ago as I had a new phone number and couldn't access my account because of 2 factor authentication, that's the with the second layer of security, you can't access your account without access to the old number. In fairness this issue isn't just limited to Norton as it's the same for providers of other services.

I was promised a call back as the solution to me seemed extreme, I should be able to call, verify myself then update my number over the phone and in my mind the problem would be resolved.

As I hadn't received a call I went online and struggled to find a number so opted to chat to someone online. The person online made little effort to help and suggested I call, they gave 2 numbers that didn't work before one that did, I asked if I would be charged and was told no. I called and was cut off while waiting for a manger and had to call back. My mobile phone provider told me the calls had generated a charge of £138.65, I called Norton and spoke with a supervisor who told me the number I called [protected]) wouldn't generate a charge. I've gone back to my mobile phone provider who have restated the charge was generated by calling Norton as it was an overseas number.

Desired outcome: Please review the discussion I had with the agent online (ref:[protected]) who told me there wouldn't be a charge.

Norton Nortons auto renewal when supposedly OFF

I had to spend ages on the phone getting a renewal cancelled after being charged for the product. My autorenewal was OFF and I got messages saying it was off, and if I wanted to renew then I needed to turn it ON. I did not turn it on, I uninstalled Nortons and installed McAfee. Then I found that Nortons, against my instructions, against its own conditions still auto renewed the product.

Completely unetihical.

I am still waiting for my refund.

Desired outcome: Urgent refund and removal of all my account information especially credit card details, and acknowledgement of this in writing by email from an authorised manager.

Norton Norton 360 Anti Virus Plan

On 8/16/2022 I was contacted via e-mail that my subscription was renewed and that the payment would be automatically deducted from my bank account within 24 - 48 hours.

There was a telephone number [protected]) to call if I wanted to cancel. I immediately call the telephone number and requested to cancel the subscription. I was told that I would have to be in front of the computer that's on file in order to cancel. During this time I was at work (7am - 4pm). I requested again to please cancel my subscription because I cannot afford the payment. I was told that it would be cancelled but only if I cancelled from the main computer. I requested serval times to please speak with a manger but was told the manager would not want to talk with me and he was the only person that could assist me.

Once I returned home I contacted the number that I was given but the office was closed. On 8/17/2022, I called the telephone number provided and was told again it would be cancelled but only from the main computer. I left my job at 11:15am to take care of this matter since I only had 24 - 48 hours before the funds would be deducted from my account. I called the number provided. I stayed on the phone over 25 minutes only for them to continue to give me bogus websites for them to have permission to remote into my computer. I was needed to return to work so I said I will call my bank to stop payment. The assistant on the phone was disturbingly rude and told me nobody can help me but them and that no matter what my subscription would be automatically renewed every 2 years.

Desired outcome: I do not want the funds deducted from my account and I want to cancel all further subscriptions.

Norton Automatic renewal of Lifelock, upgrade, etc.

I received the automatic renewal on July 8. I tried several times to call to cancel per instructions on the email. I never got a call answered nor was there an opportunity to leave a message. I also on July 8 sent an email reply to cancel. Then I got an automatic upgrade for $248.99 which I also tried to cancel by phone.

I have no record of my initial purchase of any recent Norton purchases. I am 85, on a fixed income and just use my computer for personal not business. I don't want or need any Norton products. My credit card has already been charged $104.99 for something I can't afford, want or need. A search on my computer does not show any Norton product. My credit card company won't reimburse me without some response from Norton.

What else do I need to do to cancel Norton's automatic renewals?

Desired outcome: Reimburse (refund) the $104.99 and cancel any supposed products from Norton especially automatically renewing something I don't have.Please resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you.

Norton Norton 360 Premium

I (Anita) had a Norton 360 Premium subscription and also a Mobile Norton that I renewed in June 22. My husband (Allan) has a Norton 360 Premium subscription from a business that is no longer operating that he paid in April 22. I was told in a conversation that I could cancel my subscription, but not my Allan's as it was over 100 days old. So the agent cancelled my subscription and my Norton mobile (which I did not ask him to do). Now I cannot download Allan's subscription because it is associated with an email that is no longer in use. I managed to get the product number from the second agent I spoke with. I have been given information about downloading but despite assurances by Norton agents - yes more than one call, that I would be able to do it. When I enter the 25 digit number to download I am told it belongs to another account, but as I said we no longer have that email. I used a link to the Norton .exe file to remove Norton from my machine, as instructed, but now both my and my husband's computers are not protected. I am very disappointed in Norton that this has been so difficult, and at this point unresolveable.

Norton Our computer Security

Our Norton Computer security was no longer active on 18/2/2022, so I renewed it for 2 years to 18/2/2024. However Norton send us many emails about our subscription being cancelled, or ended and many pop-ups appeared on our computer system saying the same.

We've had no other option but to renew our subscription and paid another 99 dollars in July 2022 so all up $176.99. Norton's customer service is not up to standard as they give customers the run around and don't resolve anything

The number provided on their website as to contact them is hopeless as NO ONE is answering it!. I have send all my snips of the proof to them and they have declined to call us or to resolve the issue and say it's not a billing issue under their terms. If this isn't then what is?
