MultiChoice Africa / DSTV DSTV Internet

Using DSTV internet and no connection since March and whenever i call the dstv center they say the matter will be escalated. I called many times meaning the matter has been escalated many times. debit order for much was paid and debit order for April also paid.

The is no direct communication between the internet department and customer you rely on someone who cannot even tell or resolve the issue to pass the massage to internet department.

In other words there is no service to dstv internet user who are experiencing problems

paying for service that I'm not receiving. the reference number [protected] given recently.

Recommendation: DSTV internet at your own risk.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Dstv internet

Good day. I am a DSTV paying customer that has an unpleasant experience with Dstv internet. I have not had no internet for the past 6 days since my payment. I have spoken to over 8 agents with more than 5 reference numbers for escalations, but still to date my issue has not been resolved with nothing but Empty promises and bad service. I have also sent a number of emails to the customer centre but it has been over 120 hours with no feedback,this is passed their promised turnaround time of 24-48 hours. This is disappointing and frustrating.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Repeats of entertainment programmes.

I am required to pay a NEW subscription of R874 every month on the package I am on. The content I receive is repeated and repeated over and over again 40 to 50 times, but I am expected to pay a new subscription for these old movies and

documentaries previously broadcasted and dug out from your archives. Then I am told that if I want entertainment, which I am already paying for, I must stream

and pay again. This is equivalent to paying for the same loaf of bread or pair of shoes 50 times over. It seems MultiChoice has no concern whatsoever for the service it is providing it's customers and will continue to cheat and rob it's customers at will without any accountability.

I would appreciate a reply from MultiChoice.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Fraudulent account no help from dstv

I became aware that someone opened an account with my id number, tel number and e-mail address, work telephone but their cellphone and address. I opened a Fraud case on 17 April 2023 with Saps. CAS65/4/2023. I phoned multichoice, no help. Went into the offices in Hermanus. They put note on system. Phone mutlichoice again, told me to phone fraud line on 0860666994. Been on the line for over an hour - no answer. I am a White woman and the other person using my ID is black. I am questioning Dstv as they are suppose to have copy of your ID? How is it possible.

Claimed loss: This could negatively influence my credit record etc

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV DSTV Router ZTE MF286C

I am Catherine Doria ID [protected] I orderd a Router from DSTV got this on the 23/02/2024 up to date still not conected I have made many calls and live chats none stop every time I get told that the will escalating the problem on the 8/03/2024 I have made 5 calls to the Internet side and all 5 times my call was cut off.. When it comes to the day to pay money will be taken of my account why pay for a Router not in use as this has no use for me at all if the problem does not stop all the time oh we sorry why not fix the Router then.. I have spend R1890.00 rand of airtime calling to get this sorted nothing is done..

If am not happy the way I get treated its not good like I am a no good bud my money is good.. At this point I feel I should just disconect all from DSTV as the service is so bad.. No help at all from any of the ones I have spoken to...

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Account mess up

I had an issue with Showmax. I contacted Multichoice regarding the issue in the process my account was messed up. One of the agents canceled my contract of which I did not ask for. It's been 3 weeks that we have been struggling to get the account rectified. The issue started on the 29th January it's the 16 February and no one at Multichoice comes back with feedback. They don't even respond on their complaints. I don't know what kind of customer services this. No one that we have spoken to in the past 3 weeks has done what they said they were going to do. It's enough I can't use Showmax anymore because my decoder is not compatible now my dstv is also an issue.

Desired outcome: My Account needs to be rectified and all additional fees be reversed

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Billing

I am on the compact plan and have been paying R450. I downgraded in December to their lowest package and was paying less than R150. I checked my app and discovered that I need to pay R730 by the 2nd of February. I called [protected] on the 24th of January at 14:13 and upon checking was told this has been escalated. I unfortunately forgot the lady I spoke to. She said I was given a discount and it was reversed? To date I await her to give me feedback as she said this will be rectified in 72hours. Exactly why I did away with them in the first place

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Pricelock decoder and installations

I was contacted 3 weeks ago and agreed to a pricelock and new decoder. Installations was scheduled for Thursday 18/01. When I contacted the local installer they said they were notvaware and have not received decoders. I contacted DSTv and the arrange for another installations on Thursday the 25/01 also with JJ Electronic Richardsbay. Again i phoned the installers on Wednesdays to confirm and get a time, same story was not aware and do not have stock of the decoders. I had to contact DSTv again, they followed up with the local installers on Wednesday said they will get back to me but still have not... How can you advertice and waste my time like this. I need answe on when will it be resolved

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Payment not received/reflecting

I am disconnected every week and connect for three to four days and disconnected again. It takes calling and emailing as well as live chat to be reconnected every time I am disconnected beside that I was told to pay even though I have made payment already yet payment reflect every time I call the office but few days later it is no longer reflecting. I made payment using unusual method that I used before this seems to be the reason but I realized that was not the case therefore i should consider other options to get this matter resolved since calling the office doesn't help

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV DStv Disney Plus Subscription activated with no consent

This service has been automatically activated on my account since 16 September 2023 without my knowledge, with my billing only being affected in January 2024, as the prior months were discounted. This is unacceptable, as I had to waste time cancelling this subscription, as I only picked it up on my account today 02 January 2024. What authority does Multichoice have to do this, with no communication or consent whatsoever!

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV i have 5 months paying for data but its never loaded

I am sending this email heartbroken with the service i am receiving from Multichoice. I have been paying for data from August to date but the data is not loaded. I have called several times and did live chats. I am told one and the same story that the matter is being escalated i don't know where is it escalated to from August to December. Or maybe is it because i am black person that is why my matter is not taken serious. Can i be refunded my money that i paid for past 5 months or can the data for 5 months be loaded with immediate effect. I have been buying data for 5 months for my kids to be able to study because multichoice failed to deliver what was promised.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV DSTV Streaming

DSTV Streaming only supplies one streaming login per subscriber irrespective of how many DSTV services I subscribe to.

I currently pay DSTV a monthly fee of over R3000 per month for 7 decoders and one streaming login.

My home in Cape \town does not have adequate satellite reception and the decoders rust in the salty air so I use streaming for both TV's. HOwever I can oly use one DSTV service at a time as the number of simultaneous streaming ID's is limited to one user.

This has been a problem for over a year since DSTV changed their policy to one user at a time, irrespective of how many subscriptions that user was paying for (7 in my case). They have promised a solution publicly but no soulton at this point in time.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Who is calling me and how do they get my number?

I am receiving calls from a person claiming to be from DSTV trying to sell me funeral cover, as part of the DSTV rewards programme.

I have made it very clear that I do not want telemarking from DSTV and on several occasions i have called them and re-confirmed this.When trying to call back on the number I received the call from, a message comes up that the number does not exist.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Maps installations

Maps Installations installed a new LNB receiver and charged me R 2449.00. My problem is the price of the LNB receiver which was R1800.00. On the invoice they showed an Ultra receiver. The normal price for it is around R450.00.

The date of installation was 7 November 2023

I contacted the installer several times without any success.

Please follow up on this because it is giving a bad name to mulichoice.

I have been waiting for my refund for the past 3 weeks and no word after submitting all needed documents and no any update and they still have the nerve to remind me to pay my dstv month end /poor service ever and consultant don't even know what their doing hence people cancel this provider

On sunday 2023/11/05 i spin the wheel and received a R100 cell c airtime. I claim my reward with the code that was given to me and the message i received was that it will be automatically be loaded on my cellphone provided within 24 hours. Until this time i never received it. This let me just wonder if your rewards is actually true. Maybe i am a bit hasty but when you say within 24 hours it must be beleive to be so. Thank you.

My name is Bongani Xabanisa this month on the 11th i applied for a dstv compact hence i was using it before so my decoder is not working that's why i applied for the compact but to my surprise i was given family view explora 3d of which was not the actual agreement when i phoned the customer service they said they will listen to the voice recording and the supervisor said she will send the voice recording but they never send anything when i call i get dropped there is no one to assist with this issue because i don't want the Explora 3d i want the compact now i am stuck with this decoder and i have to pay multichoice has failled me dismally and no one is willing to assist on this issue till to date contact me on [protected]

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV DSTV cutting off the Rugby Broadcast

For what possible purpose did you cut of registered subscribers?

By first sending a message that the account subscription is not paid, even though there are still 2 more days before the month-end

And even though the Account Subscription for November was paid in full immediately, you STILL blocked the broadcast.
