Monro Muffler Brake Replacement of brake pads and rotors

On Dec 7 2023 I decided to have Monro Muffler in Chicopee MA work on front pads and rotors. Even though they were shown a quote from Used Tire Maxx for a lower amount, there was no match. I paid 524.61 with a discount at Monro but on Dec 20 2023 the rear brakes were done for 404.90 revealing a difference of 123.71. There was no price match offered by Monro for the same service. 11/26/23 - 2:00pm - Car towed by AAA to Monro. Two hoses to the coolant had a hole in them. Coolant leaking. Trisha at the desk said no one there to work on car, everyone called out. Thanksgiving weekend. Car will have to sit. Car sat 2 days. 11/28/23 -Call from Nick, stating he ordered two hoses. Wrong hose delivered correct hose will be there tomorrow...

Monro Muffler Brake Fraud perpetrated by the East Greenbush, NY Monro

My granddaughter brought her car to Monro, East Greenbush, NY on 9/29/2023. They lied about a number of things, including doing an alignment (which we paid for) and checking a tire they had replaced for the reason it went flat twice. It took over two weeks for Rob to order the battery she had already paid for, and then Gio ordered it and got it with one hour with her standing there.

We have proof they defrauded her on the alignment, as we had to take it within days to the Warren Tire down the street. It drove so badly she was afraid to be in it. In addition, when they sent a 'mechanic' to remove the flat tire (we live a mile from the shop), he came without a jack and bent mine because he did not properly place it under the car. They also messed up her sunroof so it really doesn't close now, although it wasn't great before.

Claimed loss: The cost of alignment of $129.99 plus tax. And preferably cost to fix or at least close the sunroof. I won't send the invoices out on public format. Please indicate private format

Monro Muffler Brake Muffler

I was to have a muffler from front to back replaced on my 2005 ford focus on 7/30/2020 estimate #172893 invoice #138711 work to be done was

Tires, oil change, and muffler for a total bill of $1893.57.

the bill just for the muffler cost was $995.00. parts and $200.00 labor.

the original complaint was a noisy muffler. when I picked it up it was better but still a little noisy. about a month later the noise was back just like before. I called to let them know but with covid said I would wait till things got better. by the time I called back they were out of business. I tried the one in Meno-falls it also was closed-up. there was in Brookfield Wisconsin, I went there and didn't say that they did the work until after he said there was a spliced in piece behind the catalytic converter. and the muffler had large holes in it. I then said the store in West Bend Wisconsin did the work. then oh well the muffler is only 16 gauge and only lasts 1 to 3 years. gave me a quote for $420.00. it just so happens your District Manager Nicholas Godsey. and Craig Waterson was there. should cost me nothing already paid..

In June of 2023 I wavol Prentice took my bmw x5 3500 to the canton location where I've been taking it for years for an oil change took vehicle in came back and said it couldn't open get manager he came saw who i was oh yeah he's a reg customer his name gladimyr Rivera he made appt for me to drop off car.came for appt that morning cashier drove me home and took my vehicle back to shop she's working at Stoughton office.

Monro Muffler Brake tires and alignment

My granddaughter took her car to get tires on it 9/12/2023. She didnt have an appointment there . They didnt tell her that either. They just took her car in and put tires on and an alignment.. Told her it was done , she didnt have money for it i had to go pay it next day so she could get her car.

They shouldnt have done it without an appointment. I need to get my money back for your mistake. That is alot of money to put out without an appointment. Monro is or was my favorite place I treat them well when i go there , bring them donuts or pizza as they always treated me well.

Monro Muffler Brake Sexual harassment

My name is Tami L Farrow I am being sexually harassed by 6 men working at Monro muffler at 134 Broadway Saratoga Springs NY 12866. Once Steve Either bought the old grand union hotel he hired your employees to attack it started 2017. Steve wants this whole front block on Broadway to be his and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants including attacking women children and handicapped women. Monro employees were quick to take the job of gang stalking it’s a HATECRIME and Rico Law. There are many corrupt police in this city it’s all over the news - but this attack on human beings is beyond. Stalking - intimidation - vandalism - sexually harassing. All while they are being paid by Monro they also let these private investigator stay on the property 24x7.

Monro Muffler Brake Service done on my car

Replaced spark plugs loosened bolts on high pressure fuel pump and never tightened properly bolts broke after a day or so of driving had car towed back to them they said they would drill out and replace they took pump off to do this and there is a process to do this as im sure they didn't do because they thought it was a egr valve and not a fuel pump I had to explain this to them but they drilled the bolts out replaced with two different size bolts I went to pick up my car they told me my car wouldn't run past 3 000 rpms and my cat was plugged had car towed to another shop they told me cat was not plugged so apparently by what monro did with the pump the tension spring on the pump damaged my cam shaft why are they working on things if they don't know what they are doing I will be pursuing this legally

Monro Muffler Brake Brake repair

I went in for a brake job and got a shaft job.

NEVER AGAIN NOBODY I KNOW WILL EVER HAVE WORK DONE AT MONRO STORE NUMBER 379.

My brakes have been making noises since they were repaired. I was even told not to return to the shop and have them fixed they won't look at it. on the fourth visit - at another shop, it was found my left front caliper was missing the mounting bolts. why couldn't the first garage find this I do not know. well, this quieted them considerably but once they were finally making noises reliably enough to get them looked at. I did and you guessed it my left caliper is locking up. And has damaged both the rim and itself by not being properly reinstalled by your mechanic, on 3 attempts.

The left caliper was damaged from hitting the inside of my rim which is also damaged, and in need of replacement. t

So lets regroup my costs so far for this $700 brake job.

Initial brake job Invoice number 100522 $677.05

3 additional days loss of work to deal with repairs of brake job. $135/hr. x 24 hours $3240

200 miles for two extra trips to Rio Grande for repairs. @ $0.65/mile $130

Tolls Atlantic City Expressway and Garden State parkway $12.80

Grand total so far not including my frustration Total to date $4059.85

Repairs to front brakes due to Monro’s negligence in properly reinstalling front calipers. $757.37

Additional day of lost work. $1080

Replacement rim price updated 1/7/2023 $500

Swapping front rim and rebalance $50

THAT’S MORE THAN TEN TIMES THE INITIAL COST OF THE BRAKES.

Monro Muffler Brake Jacksonville NC

Technician wasn't able to replace parts within the expected time going over by two hours - I was told but hey we won't charge you for the extra hours. The guy ruined my wheels and I needed to replace the two front hub assemblies, their corporate office wouldn't answer on time, it's already been twenty minutes since I left my number to be contacted while the call is waiting in queue. This business won't change their time until being taken to court. Don't go to Mr. Tire on Western Blvd.

Desired outcome: Full refund of the time & labor as well as replacing the hardware such as the wheel lock that was cracked down the middle.

Monro Muffler Brake Brakes

My truck has been serviced 4+ times in 2 years for the same issues. This time my mechanic looked at it after I had brought it to Monroe yet again for noisy defective brakes. They fixed free of charge. Well 2 weeks later, loud grinding in the front driver side. Caliper was left loose with only 1 bolt present. Complete driver side brake, rotor damage. This service is very frustrating. Check the records there and you will see my visits. Stephen Peters.

Monro Muffler Brake Exhaust work

I went to Monroe Muffler and Brakes today in Beaver Falls PA. I asked them if they could fix my exhaust leak and hang my muffler back up, they said yes, they pulled my car in the garage put it in air looked underneath of it for 5 minutes came back into me and said you have to take it back to guy that tried fixing it the first time. I said well he didn’t fix it right the first time and they said you have to take it back to guy that tried fixing it the first time. I was not happy with the workers, I brought it there to be done right then they want to tell me to take it back to guy that tried fixing it the first time.

Monro Muffler Brake EMPLOYEES AT 134 Braodway Saratoga Springs NY 12866

My name is Tami L Farrow I live at 4 Zephyr Lane Saratoga Springs NY 12866, for years I have been brutally harassed by all of the employees at Monro in Saratoga. Why, because I called the district manager Joe Downey and we became friends because of our children we were studying what was making us all sick and dying approx 2017. I told Joe that Monro was open all hours of the night and day never really closing. He made sure they were only open from 9a-9p. They still didn't really follow the rules and at that point the aggressive attacks started on me. I finally May 2018 moved and rented the home I had out to a family member. In Oct of 2019 I moved back for a few horrible reasons, the guy I bought my home from is 100% involved with the NXIVM CULT. My xhusband is a BCI agent and was involved with the arrests of many of the Cult Members. When I first moved back in OCTOBER 2019 someone at MONRO BROKE THE FENCE WHEN I WAS GETTING INTO MY CAR SO THEY COULD SEE ME CLEARLY - SAYING THAT'S HER SHES HOT. At that point I had already hired a retired police officer to live with me and my girls for protection because the abuse was so bad from MONRO and Michael Klimkewicz the man who had just stole my home after I paid him $97,000. As I struggled to stay alive and keep my daughter alive from this deadly disease we suffered greatly. Every time I walked out of my home they drive by slowly letting me know they are watching me, they peel out when they can to make it more dramatic and scary. They have caused $5,000 damage to my car and $3,000 damage to my home. They have attacked my minor child's car slicing the brand new tires 3 times on her car (16 yrs) and 3 times on my brand new tires. I pray for relief with this sick matter I 100% believe MONRO employees has been hired to attack me and my family by Michael Klimkewicz the now possible leader of the NXIVM CULT. With out a dough I do have cameras in my home and listing devices placed and listened to by Monro Employees the attack are the worst when they are at work. It is almost like they are trying to hold me hostage and attack me when I leave my home. New York State Dept of Community Housing and Renewal asked me to go find the other family's being abused by Michael Klimkewicz I didn't have to they were knocking on my door. Nine other family's had had there homes stolen by this man, the brutal attacks from Michael Klimkewicz and MONRO they then incorporated people at MIDAS - MAVIS, and Saratoga Mobil Court. Apparently I walked into a SEX CULT with pedophiles - prostitutes and pimps. I had never looked into the CULT as you looked out the window of my new DOUBLEWIDE you could see the building where all the NXIVM CULT women and men were branded. Michael Klimkewicz was the owner of the building and many of the apartments and homes of the NXIVM CULT. As the NYS Police are involved and the city of Saratoga Police are involved I beg for relief with this matter. It appears PAUL your employee is the head ring leader at MONRO along with Jim Walker, TODD - JOSH - KEN - TODO. Why no one from your office even has 1 ounce of concern for a handicapped women and my bed ridden daughter 29yrs (handicapped and my minor child who has had to live with this abuse for years, IS ENOUGH. Please just look at your own tapes interview your own employees and as I am sure everyone in my neighborhood has complained about excessive damages to there own cars I believe your employees are committing hate crimes, stalking crimes, against a bunch of elderly handicapped sick people. I pray for relief with this matter, I am asking to please speak to your lawyers at this time. maybe they can bring me some since of relief with this matter. I will not allow this gang of horrible me to continue to attack my family.

Desired outcome: TO MAKE THEM STOP ATTACKING ME, VANDALIZING MY HOME AND CAR. TO STOP ATTACKING ME WHEN IM DRIVING OR GO INTO A PUBLIC PLACE.

Monro Muffler Brake Oil change

I went to Monro in Hyannis, Ma on January 2, 2022 for an oil change. I waited the 45 minutes, and everything went as usual, or so I thought. Today, February 2, 2022 as I was driving to work, my car did not want to accelerate. The more I drove, the harder it struggled to even maintain a speed of 50 mph. I pulled over and popped the hood, checked the oil and smoke was coming from where I took out the dipstick. There was NO oil in my car AT ALL! I just purchased a new engine last year and Monro almost killed it. Now I am out a days work, a tow, and had a stressful day of trying to figure out how I was getting my children to where they needed to be. Today could have been a good day, had I not gone to Monro it would have been. I have been going there for YEARS and have never had this happen. I will not be going back and I will be advising everyone I encounter not to go to you.

On or about 8 weeks ago my tire came off after having work done at the Pittsfield branch, I had the truck towed to a shop and had fixxed while at the shop i called the pitts store ONLY to be TOLD I SHOULD OF CALLED THEM

Monro Muffler Brake Monro poor customer service

As a consumer you must be crazy if you ever use the services of Monro. I wouldn't even trust the air they put in my tire.
Perhaps someone in Corporate would be kind enough to respond to my complaint as to how a rattle under the hood could cost close to $4, 000 and still was not fixed. If you have any doubts please I beg you to just check the internet for their reviews. I can only hope that pending action will expose this company and how they rip off their customers. I don't know how their CEO Michael Broderick in New York can sleep at night. He probably takes his car to Pep Boys.

Desired outcome: Admission of guilt from those involved in this fraud (you know who you are as I now do) and repayment of $4,000

Monro Muffler Brake Tire and Brake installation

So I had an appointment in the Newark, NY branch. Initially it was scheduled on Friday, Sept 24th. 30 minutes before my appointment, the manager called to tell me that the appointment would take 4 hours because 2 of his service technicians had called in sick. I understand the labor challenges these days so I rescheduled for what was supposed to be a "quiet" time at the shop. I arrived at my appointment this morning at 10 a.m. and I was told tires and brakes would take 1.5 hours. A substitute manager was there from Penfield, Tyler. Tyler was very nice and professional. Unfortunately he had only one technician on duty. This employee barely spoke and after 45 minutes, had only dismounted one tire. I was the only vehicle in the shop. He kept disappearing and then insisted that Tyler show him how to run the register instead of working on my car. I waited patiently because my car is now being held hostage on the lift.
While changing the tires, they broke 2 of the TPS units. They admitted to breaking one because the tire fell off the changer. So Tyler offered me a deal...I could pay just for 1 TPS and they would install both of them with free labor. Again, being nice, I agreed that things happen so ok. When they finished, the technician had not bothered to properly align the tread pattern on my Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires, they left the stickers on them and pulled the car out front. I asked the manager if he could remove the stickers so he did that himself. Then I noticed the low tire pressure gage was one. He said to drive it a bit and it should calibrate itself. I drove it around and it did not turn off so I drove it back. At that point, they fixed the incorrect tread pattern and said 3 of the TPS units weren't working. Two of the new ones they just installed plus one of the originals. On top of which, my wheel cover came off during my drive around the block. Tyler agreed to order new TPS units and a wheel cover to take care of the issues but I have to return again. I had to take a vacation day for the 24th which got rescheduled so I had to make up the 4 hours for today and now I have to go again. I took photos so if you want to see how the outside of my tires are now covered in the glue they use for the seal on the rim. It would've been nice to leave the garage with a nice new set of tires and brakes...something to feel good about at $600+. Instead I have tires covered in goop, missing a wheel cover and a tire pressure light on. Tyler deserves a medal for the day he had today but his technician does not. Right now I'm concerned about going back or if their promise to fix the issue will happen. And I'm concerned if this how poorly the tires were installed, I hope my brakes are ok. Rich returned to the shop and after a total of 4 visits and about 12 hours of wait time, the TPS units were working. I did end up losing 2 wheel covers. It looks like the technician was just rough with them and he broke the springs off. Rich promised to replace one but never did. I ordered two off ebay. At least the major work is fixed.

Monro Muffler Brake oil & lube for 2011 Toyota Avalon

This was my 3rd bad visit to Monro Muffler shop #4040511. Never again!
1st bad trip was 12/20/20 for oil & lube. Attendant lost my wheel lock key. Found later, but I could not get service at dealership until wheel lock key was located hours later.
2nd bad visit was 8/5/20. Waited at shop 4-1/2 hours for oil & lube that was supposed to take less than 1/2 hour. Shop did not have oil filter in stock and had to order it from another Monro location.
3rd bad visit as 6/16/2021. Shop did not deduct discount coupon that was with the work order.

Monro Muffler Brake Air conditioning

I came to the store on Monday to receive air conditioning recharge. It didn't work out so he decided he wanted me to pay $90 the original price was like 150 long stories short the guy who stated he was the district manager. He looks so high off drugs and was very disrespectful I stated I don't think I should pay if it didn't work remind u my air was already working an after I sat there almost 2 hrs n waited I will never ever come back to that place again I really feel like they did something to my air conditioning not knowing what they were doing because my air isn't as cold anymore it's warm when it was cool just not cold the 2 white men were on drugs I know a dope fein when I see one and the black guy was rude as well he stood there and argued with me for at least 15 minutes or longer him and the white guy with the Mohawk the other one didn't even get in it but he was high also I guarantee they get drugged test the whole building would be gone I just thought I should let this be known... Have a great day, and please get a better district manager

Monro Muffler Brake Came in to get car checked after describing whining noise coming from the car

My name is Gary Krupa, and my Family of (4) have consistently brought our cars/SUV's to Monroe Medford NJ for over 10 years. During this time, Steve the Manager was amazing and always provided quality care and service to his customers. We were loyal to Steve and brought in many of our friends. Steve recently retired, and I have had a horrible experience with new Service Manager Miguel. I brought in my 2011 Lincoln MKZ, telling Miguel that the car is making a whining noise, similar to a belt going bad. I asked him to check it out and let me know what needs to get done. He called me later that afternoon, and said my car will need a new Alternator Belt and new Compressor and Clutch. I asked why would I need a new AC compressor in the winter, and he said his expert Dave said its bad and needs to be replaced. The cost of the repairs was $1, 234.00. I picked the car up and drove to work. 10 minutes into my ride, I noticed the car was making the same noise, and nothing was different. I immediately called Monro and Dave answered. I asked him, did you test drive this car after the repairs, and he said no. Miguel told me what was wrong, and I fixed it, that's it. I said that I have been coming to Monro for over 10 years and Steve ensured that you always test drove the car before the customer picks it up. He, said well, I didn't. I said has the exact same issues as when I brought it in. He said bring it in and we will check it out. I brought it back in on Feb 13th. They called me in the afternoon and said we can't figure it out. The whining is coming from the middle of the car, so we put in a new serpentine belt, but we think its a transmission issue. I said ok, is it something that you can check and he said we don't do transmission work. So think about this for a minute, they have no idea what the issue is, so they decide to just change out another belt. So, I picked up the car and made an appointment at AAMCO. They charged me $129.00 for a diagnostic check and said the issue with my car is a bad wheel bearing. He said that thee are no bad belts or transmission issues, but a bad wheel bearing that should have been caught by Monro. This repair will cost me $400.00 but at least their fixing the issue. Monro was guessing from the beginning and I firmly believe that none of those parts, $1, 200 worth was necessary or needed. Your new management at the Medford location is very poor, and you are losing good loyal customers

Desired outcome: I should be reimbursed for the unnecesary service, or at the very least a 50% refund so that it would cover the real cost of the repair from AAMCO
