LG Electronics LG Dishwasher

Since installing our full set of LG kitchen appliances in Oct 2021, the dishwasher smells awful. Even after a full wash cycle, I can never tell my dishes are clean by the smell. I expect to at least smell the detergent when I open the door but that is not the case. It always smells soured, even after cleaning the filter. I've taken to holding my breath when I open it to add another dish. I have read recommendations for running a cycle with a cup of vinegar in the machine and I will try that, but I never, ever had to clean anything in my last dishwasher that was at least 20 years old. If I could find another brand dw that was this black stainless I chose to buy, I would swap it out in a heartbeat. And this one does not even have a heater for the dry cycle, so my dishes are always dripping wet at the end of an extra dry cycle. Really disappointed in the poor performance and smell of this thing.

LG Electronics Refrigerator defects and service

Purchased the LG French Door Refrigerator September of 2017 after Hurricane IRMA It was delivered about November but not installed until January 2018. 2022 Over the past 6 months I have had problems with it and used the LG website and users manual to handle them, Until early Sept 2022 when it stopped completely and I lost almost every thing in it. the Original Cost was $3699.00 extravagant at the time. But this product has not preformed at all up to LG standards. I called, spent hours on the phone with LG Reps, Called the recommended repair people some would not return calls. In over a month of multiple service calls, 2 different companies. No one has been able to fix it. Frustrating is the nicest thing I can say. I think a Class action suite is in order from my research this Model is a LEMON.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund of $2000.00 to cover a small part of cost in inconvenience, time and money without a machine. Plus having to replace it in less than a quarter of the expected life span.

LG Electronics lw2416hr/ product and customer service and dependability is terrible

well starting with having a bad fan motor I went to purchase a new motor. LG sends me to encompass supply back in august. it is now October. I ordered the part and after it eventually showed up I find kit was damaged by Fedex likely and had to return the motor. and of course it took month to get refund and another to get refund for shipping costs. I then placed the order again but this time made aware of back order and told it would be about 10 days to Gert item in stock. so I paid for it and shipping again. after 3 weeks with no shipping notification or confirmation, I reach out to find that my order had been cancelled and I was unaware. it was canceled due to not carrying the product anymore.

then I contacted lg again by phone and was transferred to their distributer and of course once it transferred I found out it was encompass supply again. who did not carry the part. so I called back LG and they suggest me to call my local supply of course as which did not have the part either.to day on oct 3, 2022, I contact LG again by chat for record keeping at 730am, and first was blown off and told to contact or call a number which resulted in not getting through to anyone any ending call. then after I asked them to stay in chat until I get a successful answer, I still get ended on and blown off. then contacted them again immediately and asked for same things and this time was told it would be emailed to me and I asked them to stay connected. they did for a while until an hour later I get two emails from them with just a link to purchase a new product. which im sure that is what they are wanting anyways. so now at 10:45 I am waiting again for an agent to get the proper documents im requesting so I can find a suitable replacement for the motor.. this chat is currently still waiting for response from LG

Desired outcome: I want to find and purchase a replacement fan m motor for LW2416HR. and an apology for all the wasted time. and a suitable contact for future issues with LG equipment that can provide reasonable speed and assistance.

LG Electronics Dryer/home depot online order

I placed an online order with Home Depot on July 12, 2022 for an LG Washer and LG Dryer. The order #WP40256071 for a total of $1,899.38. The LG Washer model #WM3600HVA Graphite Steel color store SKU #[protected] and the LG Dryer model #DLG3601V Graphite Steel color store SKU #[protected].

Delivery was made on July 26th. I refused the dryer as the color was white not Graphite Steel as ordered. It is now September 30, 2022 and I still do not have the Graphite Steel dryer. I've contacted Home Depot and LG several times. Please help me. This has been paid for since July.

Desired outcome: I would like to have a refund and an apology

LG Electronics LG Washer --Model # WM3600HV

I bought this washer and matching dryer from my local Home Depot. Install date was 8/22/2022. From the first time I used the washer I noticed the clothes were still too damp. Not soaking wet, but more damp than usual. I tried different size loads, different settings including high spin and still too damp...not soaking wet but too damp. I called the chat line and when they couldn't resolve the problem, they just disconnected the chat line. So, I called LG customer service to talk to a live agent and after an hour of try this and try that, she had no idea how to resolve the issue, kept putting me on hold and reading from guidelines and asking others for help. She finally said your drain hose is too high and you should call a plumber. I told her the drain hose is exactly where it should be according to guidelines and this is a brand new house. Since this washer is only a month old and still under warranty, can't you just send a technician out to check to see if there is a problem with the washer itself and she said no!

Desired outcome: Have a technician come out and check the unit itself.

LG Electronics LG/XPO Delivery, Escalation and Refund

On August 23rd, I purchased a refrigerator from LG.com. I purchased from LG directly (vs a retailer) primarily because they promised delivery by September 2nd. .. at least a week ahead of the next best option.

I could see online that the refrigerator was on LG's loading dock in Elizabeth NJ within 24 hours after my purchase and i paid in full at that point time, My home is less than an hour away from that location and there was no reason to think the pickup and delivery couldnt' be made the same day. Over the course of the next week i contacted LG a few times to confirm that despite the fact that the unit hadn't moved, it would be delivered as promissed. LG informed me that my refrigerator would be delivered by XPO, on schedule as promised. I was able to see online when XPO picked up the refrigerator on September 1st and later that day XPO confirmed the delivery for September 2nd.

At approx 8:30 at night on September 1st, i received a text message from XPO that my delivery was ready to be scheduled.;Turned out that there was not enough room on the truck but XPO offered to reschedule me for September 16th. I contacted LG and expected them to straighten this out for me but all they coud do was appologize.

Eventually i made enough noise to get the delivery scheduled for September 8th. .. The same happened on September 8th, then again on September 10th, then finally on September 12th XPO showed up at 7:30 at night. This time the drivers were not willing to remove my old refrigerator and install the new one as per contract- they just wanted to drop off the unit and reschedule the installation and haul away. i have no place to store a spare refrigerator and since it was after hours the drvers couldnt reach a supervisor - i could not accept delivery.

On September I3 wrote to LG asking them to make things right but received no response.

Two days later (9/15) I found out that the refrigerator was "Lost" and LG had to request a dock search before sending out a new unit. I was told 24-48 hours..

On Tuesday September 20th, XPO contacted me with a message that my delivery was ready to be scheduled. They offered me October 8th. I again had to escalate explaining that this was supposed to be a white glove delivery on September 2nd and they are now 20 days late. Eventually, a supervisor was able to schedule my delivery for September 22nd and he assured me that this time, the delifery team would have the right equipment and personnel to haul away my old unit as well as deliver and install my new one. I received several now too familiar confirmations from XPO and a useless time window of 7AM-7PM...

On the 22nd, around 12:30pm, i recieved a call from the driver that he was 45 minutes away. When I asked if he could confirm that he was going to be able to haul away my old refrigerator and install the new one, he informed me that it was drop off only and they would have to schedule the haul away and install at a later date. I explained that i had no place to store the unit I told him if he couldn't take the old unit out, then there was no point in comming to my home.

About 10 minutes later XPO contacted me to reschedule- the rep told me that i needed to contact LG to have them fix the instructions because the order was showing "delivery only"... I explained the history, that this was the 5th time that XPO was supposed to deliver/install/haul away and asked if tehre was any way to get that done in 24-49 hours. there was not so i told i was done with them and would call LG and cancel my order.

It took an hour on the phone with LG to cancel my order, and now i'm told that i have to wait for XPO to return the unit to LG, and then once they have it back i have to wait another two weeks to receive a refund. You would think LG would have contacted XPO immediately but I just got off the phone with XPO after informing them that the order was canceled and the refrigerator needed to be returned to LG.

Through the course of this fiasco I spent countless hours calling LG and XPO. I kept asking LG for help, but received nothing more than empathetic appologies- basically empty magnanimous gestures. Instead of LG taking ownership and resolving this issue, I had to call XPO myself and escalate with them each time to get them to do the right thing- and they still screwed it up. Every single one of LG's support reps told me that they were very much aware of XPO's incompetence and a lions share of their efforts are related to XPO screw ups, but there was nothing they could do about it except appologize.

Desired outcome: ) i never received the product - returning the unit is between LG and XPO. I should receive an immediat refund..2) An apology from LG accepting responsibility, with some good will gesture if i order an LG refrigerator through a retailer.

I purchased an LG 36”cooktop from Home Depot as part of an appliance package along with extended service contracts. In June 2022, one of the major burners stopped regulating its temperature and would only operate and full maximum temperature no matter what setting is selected. I called Home Depot warranty and was informed they subbed their warranty to LG extended warranty and LG was responsible for any repairs. I contacted LG and scheduled service.

Since then, 6 LG service techs have come to swap various parts over a 3 month period and the unit is still not repaired. I contacted my local fire department to have them evaluate potential fire hazard resulting from unregulated electronic coil burning at max temperature. They concluded this was indeed an extremely dangerous condition and potential fire hazard.

Countless calls to LG have bounced me from one department to the next trying to get LG to replace the unit. Always ending in we will review the file and get back to you, which I have not received any communication back. I simply want them to replace the unit and stop this madness.

LG Electronics LG repair service

This was my first time buying LG products and it will probably be my last time ever based on their customer service. I bought an LG LG OLED65CX PUA 65" TV and a LG SN8YG.DUSALLK sound bar with sub woofer to enhance my audio experience. I bought both items on 9/17/2020 and this week my sub woofer got extremely loud and started reverberating. I turned it off and tried using it again, but this time there was no sound coming out of the sub woofer. I tried a reset but it didn't respond. No red or green lights came on for the pairing.

So now the sub woofer isn't working at all.

I got in tough with customer support repair services on their website and I received an email a day later telling me that my sub woofer was out of warranty and I would have to schedule a repair. I followed their instructions on what I had to furnish to them. The sound bar type and model, the serial number, and the original sales receipt. When I had finished entering all the information, I clicked on the "submit" button and got a "System Error, Please Try Again Later" message. I have tried multiple times to submit the requested information but I'm still receiving the same error message.

Since both my TV and Sound Bar were registered on their website when I got them, why do they need the information again? They have the information on their website under my account. I tried using their "Chat" with a live agent for 2 days now and no one ever responds to the chat request.

I'm one very unhappy customer as I need this resolved but I can't submit the information that they NEED! If this doesnt' get resolved soon, you can be sure I will never buy another LG product is this is how they take care of their customer support. Fix your website so it works and not infuriate your customers. I have better things to do then spending my time submitting information that your website is rejecting!

Unhappy customer to say the least!

Desired outcome: Fix your website to process the requested information for a repair, or look it up in my registered products. I only have two, my TV and my sound bar. Is that asking too much??

LG Electronics Dishwasher

Our LG Dishwasher model 602KWNM20423 has a function that caused it to catch fire and damage our home. This function is to restart over and over again after throwing a LE code (motor problem).

Our dishwasher threw this code and stopped. We thought nothing more of it and started looking for a replacement. However, the following morning (at least, we didn't check it out during the night), the dishwasher started up again at some point and this time, the failure resulted in the dishwasher catching fire in the motor area. Fortunately, my wife was woken by the smell and was able to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher.

This caused us a great deal of damage which the county is now requiring we repair at a significant expense to ourselves. Had the LG dishwasher just remained off and not started itself up again, this would not have occurred.

Desired outcome: 1) replace dishwasher2) cover expenses realized, due to no fault of our own, to our housea) replacement of part of the cabinetryb) replacement of part of the floor3) cost of permits and inspections required for the above

LG Electronics Refrigerator

9-8-22 I called trying to get my claim closed as I can not find anyone that I hve tried to contact to work on my fridge. I call LG and ask if they can send someone out that they know. I was told yes 3-5 business days. It is now 9-21-22 and still on hold for over an hour trying to get someone to help me! It has been a month with no fridge cause I called prior to the 8th getting someone to come out and once they seen it’s LG and what was broken it’s under warranty from the lawsuit! I kee being told 3-5 business days to get answers to have someone LG can find to get it fixed! I NEED a fridge please! Family of 4 and mini fridge doesn’t cut it!

Desired outcome: Someone come fix it or refund me my fridge!

LG Electronics Fridge Quit

My fridge that i purchased last Sept 2021 up and quit this June 22, 2022. I had the LG tech come try to fix it, He could not. so he put in for us to get a refund. Nothing but the run around for 3 months now. have been lied to everytime i call , they say the refund is processing and expedited. NOW today Sept 21,2022 i get an email saying i need to RESEND everything i have sent numerous tiems. AND they want the original sticker out of the fridge that i dont have. i have a picture because i needed the info off it the day i had to call LG when it quit working. We got rid of the fridge because we had to get a new one. And like most people we dont just keep a non working appliance in the house just to have around. NOT HAPPY WITH THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE BEING PROVIDED BUT SUCH A HUGE COMPANY. i get no where every time i call or do customer chat. i get told its processing and it clearly is not by the text and email i received. today

LG Electronics Refrigerator LSXS26326W

My frig. stopped working. Called LG customer service they gave me phone #'s of repair places to call. No one will fix this frig. I called every local appliance repair shop in a 60 mile radius. No one will deal with this LG refrigerator problem. They all say they are junk and can't be fixed. My warranty on the compressor is 10 years old and the frig is just over 5 years old. What good dose a warranty do if no one will fix it. No one at LG customer service seems to care. Class action suit is over and I'm stuck with a lemon! Lost all my food and patience! Would never buy a LG product again.

LG Electronics LG WD-80154TP Washing Machine

To whom it may Concern:

Please note that I requested to repair my washing machine through srilankan abans service hotline on 24th May 2022 and received reference number is SOLGWM240522F0365.

Although technician came and charged the visiting chargers. I had to contact the hot line several times to get the estimate.

Estimate received on 20th of July 2022 for a new PCB change and instructions given by Abans hot line to pay half payment to do the repair within two days.

payment was done the following day and sent the slip through whatsapp.

I received a call from Gampaha service center on 3rd August 2022 and confirmed that they will come on 04th August to repair the machine. I was waiting but no one came or didn't inform me that they will not come.

Another day I got a call from Abans technician and he asked the location to come for fixing the new PCB but when I informed the location he recognized me and informed me that he has received a PCB of top loading although I have a front loading machine.

Then they wanted to repair the pcb since they don't have stocks. One of the technicians removed the pcb for the repair. After a few days they wanted to bring the machine to their service center. but they didn't pick it.

1st of September, Srilanka Yakkala branch manager informed me that they will fix the PCB at my home. Although it was fixed, at least the machine is not switched on as earlier. I can't trust your service since this was handled in a very unprofessional way.I have contacted the abans service hotline several times to get this done. Although they promised to call me back never contacted me. when call center urgent transfer the call to a manager he disconnected the line as well.

I'm really disappointed regarding your LG service and never buy abans product again. Please refund my money which was paid for the new PCB.

LG Electronics Refrigerator

I have a LG Refrigerator that is barely 2 years old. Stopped cooling today. Bad compressor. This is the 2nd LG Refrigerator I’ve purchased within the past 8 years to stop cooling due to a bad compressor. Now either I spend $600+ to fix it or buy a new Refrigerator (definitely a different brand!). Many appliance repair company’s do not want to work on a LG compressor because it’s either to difficult to get the part, they won’t warranty the repair because LG parts are notorious for failing, or it’s a difficult repair if they can get to the compressor. My luck, my Refrigerator went out after the deadline to file a claim against the LG Class action lawsuit with wad February 2022. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT! My LG Microwave which was only 6 months old, went out. Took a 6 weeks and a complaint to the BBB to get them to respond to fix it. This week it’s going to cost me $300 to fix the oven igniter on my 4 year old LG Stove ! Done with LG !

LG Electronics refrigerator

My LG refrigerator stopped working on 9/6. I paid $89 for an appliance repair service to come and look at it. They reported it was a bad compressor which was covered under warranty and would have to contact LG for repair. I have contacted LG several times and now they are telling me I have to wait until 9/19 - 21 for a repair man. I'm a diabetic and cannot go without a refrigerator this long. I've told them that several times but I'm still getting the run around.

Desired outcome: Replace or refund as I need to purchase a new refrierator.

LG Electronics Washer dryer

These two appliances had major issues within 3 years of being used. We only use the machines 2 or 3 times a week. The washer's pump needed to be replaced after no longer working. The dryer's control board needs to be replaced as the circuit to stop the dryer from continuing to spin after the cycle is over, is stuck open. The total cost for these 2 repairs is the same as purchasing one unit new. There is no customer support to replace these items, even though the problems are common across the washers and dryers made by LG. This used to be a good reliable brand--not anymore. I am extremely dissatisfied with the treatment when called about any possible reimbursement for what are know issues after a quick internet search.

LG Electronics Washing machine

I purchased a washer and dryer on 3/18/19 and extended warranty at Best Buy. Around 8/30/2021 I called LG because the selection dial on the washer kept either sticking or going backwards making it hard to select a wash cycle. They referred me to call Best Buy because of the extended warranty. The technician came out, diagnosed the problem and ordered parts. Technician did come back and replaced the parts. Fast forward to today, almost a year I’m having the same problem. I called Best Buy and they said extended warranty has expired. I called LG the end August 2022 and Sept 6, 2022 and was told I had to pay for the repairs. This is ridiculous and it seems like this is going to be an ongoing problem.

LG Electronics Refrigerator

I purchased a refrigerator from LG that stopped working. I reached out too

LG for repair service. There was no repair service listed for my area. I requested a full refund. LG agreed. According to LG, the refund was issued on June 29, 2022. As of today, I have yet to see a refund of $1,070.52. I have sent emails and called LG customer service. To no prevail, I have received no refund. This is becoming ridiculous. I am still paying for a refrigerator, that does not work. Not only that, I had to purchase a new refrigerator that cost more money.

LG Electronics lg oled tv burn in

Bought an LG OLED65B7A-U in Jan 2018 from Best Buy.

Burn in is obvious at the bottom of the screen with green letters 'ALERT' and some other unclear characters. The burn in appeared about a year ago.

I contacted LG Electronics Customer Support in June 2022 and received a couple emails telling me to run Compensation Mode, which I have several times. I also have tried other 'Pixel Cleaning' steps from the settings mode. Nothing helps.

LG asked me to send pictures of the TV with the burn in. I did, and the pictures clearly show the burn in.

Now, and for a couple months, LG will not respond to emails.

Desired outcome: I want the burn in fixed, or TV replaced, or a refund........in that order. This TV is too expensive to treat as a 'throw away'.

LG Electronics Dishwasher

Purchased a LG Signature dishwasher, with taxes and installation over $1800, less than a year ago. Error code yesterday, customer service refused to open a repair ticket unless I started taking panels off, turning off electricity, and waiting 24 hours for the situation to resolve itself. Explained I have just had cancer surgery, live alone and cannot remove panels or perform maintenance they were requesting. Asked to speak to a supervisor, was told none were available. Customer service rep kept insisting that I try to resolve the situation myself. Still have no resolution. I have a major kitchen remodel coming up, and there will not be a single LG appliance purchased due to this type of treatment, and I will certainly spread the word.

Desired outcome: Open a repair ticket, send out a repairman!
