Fraud charged me for membership and i didn't agree for that
Today morning I was feeling sick and I was searching and i wanted to consult a doctor as per the website it shows 2$ for any question and suddenly the payment page popped up. I put the details in thinking of 2$ and i didn't get the service when i checked my credit card i saw they charged me fraud 75$ instead of 2$. I called customer service i was surprised she put all the blame on me and said that was my mistake and she can't process my refund. I told her everything but she said she can only cancel the membership but i will not get the refund. This is not acceptable. I want my refund this is not good business practice.
Hello,
I am happy with the solution, I have got my refund back. I appreciate your help, Vanessa.
Hello,
I have already reached out to your customer service and clearly denied for refund. I even requested her very politely but she denied it. The email I used was sharmaparas0787@gmail.com. It would be very nice if you can refund my money. I don't mind paying 2$ but 75$ is not acceptable.
Thanks
Hello, They didn't resolve the issue, Vanessa from JustAnswer replied to my complaint that i have to contact them and tell them the email i used, however, i already contacted them first then they clearly denied refunding me after that, I posted the complaint over here. Moreover, they marked the issue resolved without any help.
Pet answer service
Hello -
I had a pet emergency in the middle of a night and their service came up as someone I could talk to, with a veterinarian, to ask question. It was a $29 service fee (plus a $5 fee for an initial fee). This was on 9/29/2022.
I just noticed that they have been charging me $29 monthly since then. When I contacted them to refund the months of Oct-Dec, they refuse to do so stating that I signed up for a 'membership'.
It was not clear to me at all during sign up that this was a recurring membership.
Desired outcome: The fee charged in Sep/2022 is legitimate. However I need the charges for three months Oct-Dec refunded, $87 in total refunded.

Microsoft question about a problem
Misleading web site boarding on scam. The website stated there would be a $1 fee. They never charged the $1 fee, and they charged me $46 for the first month’s fee when I was not aware I approved that or signed up for that service. I assumed from their website that the $1 fee allowed me to try them out. The website showed the $1 fee to start very prominently but I did not see if they stated that the first month’s fee would also be charged, so I assumed I would only be charged for $1. The site also said I could cancel at any time. As soon as I figured out that they charged me $46, I used the chat function to cancel the service and get a refund. I then called because a refund did not show up and after many calls, I finally spoke with a supervisor who advised me that there were no refunds. The supervisor also hung up on me while I was stating my case. In the meantime, I paid for a month but when I called, I was informed that I no longer have an account and can't use their service even though they would not refund the money. So, they have refused to provide me the service that they say I paid for, and I can't get a refund. Their website is misleading and covers up what they are intending to do. This is a trap for people to sign up for their service thinking they will only pay $1 to try it. People should stay away from this company.
Desired outcome: get a full refund and make them revise their misleading web site so others will not get caught like I have

Unauthorised credit card charges
I only asked for the £1 trial but have been charged an additional £30 this month which I have been told is not a one-off payment but is a future monthly payment.
I signed no authority for this and made no membership request.
My question was not answered in a timely manner: it was supposed to answered within a time period of 8 minutes but took over 6 hours, by which time the fault had rectified itself. All I originally asked was what a certain code meant which appeared on my washing machine after a power cut. It seems it just needed time to reset itself.
Desired outcome: Please refund the £30 charged on my credit card and cancel any membership that may have been set up in my name.

A full credit of GBP35.
On Dec 2nd I signed up for a trial and paid GBP1.00. [protected] US)
On Dec 8th I was charged GBP35 by Justanswer Tech Help [protected] US)
If this was a trial why was I charged?
Yodel distribution pushed me to this site as I was complaining I had no Proof of Delivery for a medical parcel, I knew all the details and eventually Yodel finally came back with information I was after, none of which Justanswer provided.
I would like a credit for the GBP35.

Help with a computer question.
On December 27th, 2022, I had a simple computer question. While searching for Microsoft Help online, the website "Just Answer" came up. I was asked if I wanted to get an answer to my computer issue. I was also asked if I wanted an expert to answer my question. I figured I did not want a [censored] to try and fix my problem, so I responded yes. On December 30th, 2022, two charges appeared on my checking account. I charge was $39.00 for the computer fix. I called "JustAnswer" to inquire of the second charge for $46.00. The customer service person said that the $46.00 was a mandatory subscription fee for getting an answer to my initial question. I was unaware of any subscription charge nor any prerequisite acceptance of a $46.00 charge to join "JustAnswer" before paying for the actual "expert" to answer my question. This operation stinks of a scam to me. The company cannot return your membership fee, only cancel it while pocketing my $46.00.
Desired outcome: I want to get my $46.00 subscription fee back.

I requested help connecting my HP printer to my laptop printer on November 24, 2022.
I was connected to a person who tried everything I had already tried. There were numerous repetitive attempts while I sat watching with no success, either by direct cable connection or through my router. After about two hours, I had to leave to go to an appointment. It was suggested I reconnect later. I got a new "expert" who tried many of the same things also with no success. I gave up but they encouraged me the next day to try again. Now a third "expert" tried a couple of new approaches but was still not successful. The third person explicitly told me he would see I was not charged but I have received charges for $1 (Join fee) and then successive charges of $39.00, $39.00, and $46.00. For that I could easily have a new printer. As it is now, I have no working printer and excessive charges with no result.
Desired outcome: I agree to the $1 join fee and the initial $39.00 which I agreed to. I did not agree to subsequent charges and request that the remaining $85.00 be refunded to my credit card.

Pop-up chat line appears simultaneously with airline website and gives false impression
On 28 December 2022 I logged onto what I thought was Singapore Airlines website, but it was in fact Just Answers. Their chat line was superimposed on the Singapore Airlines site, which I consider grossly misleading.
I outlined my problem, and provided some personal information, believing I was communicating with Singapore Airlines.
I was advised my problem could be resolved and I should pay a $2 (refundable) verification fee. I did via my Credit card, but my bank then advised that a A$66 charge had just been taken. I confirmed it was unauthorized and my card was blocked (too late, of course).
These funds were taken fraudulently.
Desired outcome: Request refund of A$66Require removal/destruction of my personal informationHappy to make this experience open to public

SCAM/No contact information?
I Have the same problem as basically EVERYONE ELSE.
They said they'd Charge around R15 for a question and ended up taking R600+ from my account and signing Me up for a monthly subscription? I'm a single woman who doesn't need a whole monthly plan.
Only to give me not one but TWO doctors who just told me to go to a GP. This is what I'm here for though? HELP ME.
I tried to contact them to get a refund and NONE OF THE CONTACT INFORMATION WORKS. All the links about customer care are " bad gateways" and doesn't work conveniently.
I ended fighting pain and going to a GP where the issue was absolutely treatable. But to have two whole "professionals" tell me to just go to a GP is absolutely ridiculous I can't believe these people took that much money off for not one but TWO unsatisfied unhelpful answers!? And then I can't contact them?
Like who do I have to sue?
Desired outcome: Please just refund me so I can be DONE with this and be the professionals you claim to be

Amount deducted from my account without an explanation

Complaint
In September 2022, I used this service to ask a question about IRS tax filings. I was desperate and agreed to what I thought was a one-time charge of $50. The service was no help at all with my question. The staff person just kept repeating the question back to me. After several minutes, it was clear that they would be no help, so I ended the call. Today, while looking at my credit card statements, I see that Just Answer has been charging my credit card $50 per month for the last 4 months and never even bothered to tell me. Most subscriptions at least send you a confirmation email. I suspect that Just Answer intentionally does not send any confirmation email of auto draft because they do not want you to know that they are stealing from you. I will make sure that the BBB is notified of this organization's criminal practices. Shame on this organization for preying upon desperate people.

I've just used JustAnswer, and the bot that one initially interacts with clearly stated that my answer will be addressed for only R15 ($0.87) - nothing mentioned about a subscription! Whether or not the payment page included the cost of subscribing, I'm admittedly not sure, nevertheless I was immediately charged the amount of R781 ($45.17) for a subscription! This is likely not illegal, but is CLEARLY CLEARLY CLEARLY DECEPTIVE! On consulting a rep, it appears they do not provide refunds, despite literally contacting them as soon as I realised what was going on (perhaps within 10 minutes). This may be a useful site, but I feel like I've been scammed!

Refund/cancellation of membership
I asked a question on Just Answer thinking it was at a cost of $2, then an amount of $42 was debited out of my account every month for the past four months, I asked for a refund and to cancel payments out of my bank account and to cancel the membership but I haven't had any refund the amounts and $42 still keeps being debited. I was on chat with Genelou Abucejo on 12/9/2022 but she disconnected me, I then emailed customer support on many occasions - 13/9/22, 10/10/22, 11/10/22 and 5/11/22 asking for membership to be cancelled and amounts refunded. Can you please help me?
Desired outcome: Refund of membership costs and cancellation of membership

The same thing happened to us as Julie. Late evening of the 26th of November our dog was dying and I was looking for answers to make him comfortable. I was told that the charge was $5, but I looked at our account today and was charged an additional $35. Our dog died! Why would we want to join! No #1 and No #2 we are seniors on a fixed income which doesn't go very far in 2022! I realize this company is based in California and we all know California has a different code of ethic than the rest of America. I am grateful to Julie above as I will have my bank cancel my card so that no more debits come out!

SCAM! DO NOT GET SUCKED IN! I was told it would just be a $1 fee for a question, and they told me it was no commitment. Well I was charged $50 and now I just discovered a $50 charge on my credit card bill. When I asked - they said it's a membership fee and it's set to renew!
Thankfully I caught it before it renewed or it'd be another $50! I never got a single email or anything telling me I was in this plan. It's a scam! They will enroll you without your knowledge...plus the tech could not answer my question...when i complained they tried to take over my computer:
To better assist you with your Mac question, I'd like to offer you a premium service of: Remote tech support - I will remotely connect to your computer and work on solving your issues while you watch. for the price of $13.
What a rip-off company...they refused to refund me the original $50 but have now cancelled my membership...thanks goodness!

Computer assistance with just answer
In July 24, 2022 I paid $1.00 to try and get assistance on my computer. They replied but not with anything that was not something I had not already tried. They kept asking if I had more questions and I responded no several times and on 7/29/22 responded I had ordered a new computer and no longer needed their help. I then thought I cancelled the assistance with that response and did not realized that on 8/1, 9/1, 10/2 and 11/1 they had deducted a $46.00 payment. Nov. 29, 2022 I finally called a number and had the item cancelled. Even though I had not used the service they did not want to give a refund.
Below is the last email.
I have gone to Dell, ordered a new computer and will return dropped one for repair.

Warning!!! Justanswer is scam committing a fraud crime
JustAnswer is a typical scam which commuting a fraud crime.
No experts will answer your questions.
JustAnswer never provides the expert information (because it’s not existing).
Your money can be maybe returned if you immediately contact your bank or credit card company right after the payment.
There are 3 important things you can do if you’re one of the victims of JustAnswer.
01. File a report to the police of San Francisco, CA. You can do online. This is very IMPORTANT for making less victims.
02. Contact to your bank or credit company or PayPal to report about Just Answer as scam to the payment gateway company. The biggest damage of this kind of scams is basically suspending the payment solution and the bank account.
03. Report Google to stop listing ad of JustAnswer. You can search “JustAnswer” on Google and you probably find the ad listing of JustAnswer on the top page. Your report might help to stop the next victims since JustAnswer gets the target from this ad listing.

I was am experiencing a problem with Just Answer. Because my issue is different and more detailed, they kept referring me back to Microsoft who actually created the problem.. Once they told me that Xbox, I should contact them, was the problem and when contacting Xbox, the told me it as a Microsoft problem. I explained that after dealing with Microsoft, they referred me back to Xbox who referred me to Just answer. While on a chat at Just Answer, the person there asked me to explain my problem and then disconnected me be cause I took too long to answer. There are so many more details, I asked, plead to speak with someone they connected me to a Jeff (somebody who claims to be a VP) who also disconnected me. My last attempt was to ask for a refund and no one would answer me. THIS IS A SCAM. FRAUDSTERS AND I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK. I'm going Social Media, all of them, to let them know what a sham this is.
Yes I just disputed 3 months of charges with my bank. Used something of this month's ago and did not know I would be charged $46/mo. Tried to cancel, they never stopped charging.
I just found out that JustAnswer are as crooked as a dogs hind leg. I was dealing with Facebook on a brand new account, I was setting up and had never uses. I had been locked out by Facebook for not meeting community standards. I contacted them using their chat. They said they would connect mw with their tech, but I would be required to pay one dollar, which would be refunded. So naturally I have to use a credit card for the one dollar. I give them my card and get a message that it did not work. Call your bank or try another card. So foolishly I use a second card and it is accepted. I get to the tech and they want to work on my computer. I say sorry that is not my problem it is with Facebook and I do not need any computer service. That night I am contacted by the card they said was refused. Along with the one dollar refundable charge there are two $55 dollar charges. So then I contact the other card and there is another $55 charge on it. So the total scam is $166. So now one card will have to be replaced and the other will be locked and I will have to file fraud charges on it. Judge for yourself if JustAnswer is a fraud.
