On 8/5/23, I went to The 1903 W. Main St. , Richmond, Va store to do my normal monthly basic house supplies shopping.
To be honest, I do not expect much when I go to this store, they have never been the friendliest or the most helpful. It is just convenient since I do not drive. With that being said, I have always walked away at least not feeling like I was an inconvenience to the workers.
The cashier I encountered this day was absolutely horrendous. She was rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to assist me in any way. I had to refrain from asking if she was ok, I know that would have just made it worse. Luckily someone was with me and witnessed her actions.
I was the third person in line that day, and the second to complain, and ask her to get someone willing to assist us.
I asked her how to use my digital coupons, she said I don't got a clue, folded her arms and stood there complaining about the previous interaction with someone else.
I had to request her to go get someone to help me, or I was putting my things back. I did finally get the help I requested, but again I have never felt unwelcome in a store.
If she doesn't want to work, then she shouldn't be there. I know this I am questioning if I will even go back to that store. At this point I think I am willing to pay much more just to have a decent shopping experience.
Desired outcome: I believe someone needs to see if this lady even wants to work.I would absolutely appreciate an apology for being treated the way I was.

I had advised the manager that my father had been taken to the er early this morning and I would keep her posted. Just about 2 o’clock I told the assistant manager that my father had ended up being admitted. My shift ended at 3. After counting my drawer it was 2:40. I asked what else needed to be done so that I could leave. Assistant manager Carol told me that I still had another 10-15 and I could recover as much as possible until it was time for me to leave. I reminded her that my father had been admitted to the hospital and all she did was smile and say that she knew. We had another employee (Eva) working so it wasn’t as if she was going to be by herself. I feel that my rights were violated and the she abused her authority

older white cashier ask if I wanted to buy candy bars to help them win a contest, I ask to see the contest paper or display like Dollar Tree has that says
"Support your favorite store by buying candy bars"
She said this is unofficial, so that tells me that this is a scam and they are doing something dishonest over there to cover all the theft they allow to happen.
Every time I go over there the store is full of crack heads just eating off the shelves and nothing is being done. I I report it everytime and they say well we have cameras, but we don't have enough help to catch them. The only reason i still go there is because its next to Allnex where a lot of us work . You need to do better! The grass is unkept, drug baggies all over the parking lot and store, bums on the side of the store and your 2 cashiers are always out smoking in front of store talking to the bums. Your company makes a lot of money, you need to spend some to hire people who will actually work and keep your locations safe/clean and NOT TRY TO SCAM US OUT OF DOLLARS for nonexistent contests.
Desired outcome: IMPROVE/ CLEAN/ STOP THE SCAMS at this store.
