Family Dollar A clothes rack fell on me

Last night I was at the family dollar store in providence RI, I was looking at the tee shirts and there was a clothing rack with clothes on it in which needed to be stocked and as I tried to move the rack which was unsteady it fell on my left leg which caused pain and discomfort I reported it to the "Manager" on duty and she shrugged her shoulders and went to go pick up the rack, never asked if I am ok, never had me fill out a report. In which I took pictures, and I am 100% sure there are cameras there. It was very unprofessional an woke up this morning with a bruise to my leg. I called the 866 number and wanted to speak with someone, and she said I need to report it on the website. As being a HR manager, I feel like this was handled inappropriately on all levels I would appreciate a call back [protected].

Family Dollar Disability discrimination

Quartzsite, AZ. Location I was refused service by employee named Wilt. I was made to disclose my disability verbally in public with others around. I then offered evidence on my phone which he refused to look at because it "is on your phone". (His words)Fully embarrassed and humiliated. Then still refused service. Disability comes in all forms and he didn't want to try to understand why my feet were bare. At the same time as Non-service animals were being allowed in the store.

Desired outcome: I would like to see this man removed from this location. Disability discrimination isn't something that is taken lightly. I've been embarrassed enough by this and would like it resolved without council.

Family Dollar Service

To many people thar don't work at family dollar in ferron ut behind country the worked says there was nothing todo I have to say there's always something todo in a store or what ever type of work the person does and the stores in emery county ut all have gone down hill the last few weeks no mangers workers that don't want to work to many bosses not enough workers I have been over crews in coal mine worked with boy scout for years thank you lynnmiles

Family Dollar Manager

I am a police officer that had a call on 10-14-23, to responded to 3134 Canal St. to the Family Dollar Store number 12605 for a theft investigation. I made contact with the complainant, who appeared to be the manager of the store, Tiffany Bushee. Upon arrival, the manager appeared as if she was not having a good day. The manager told me I provided the license plate to the vehicle that suspect was driving to the dispatcher. I advised her that on a regular day there are a lot of people who drive other people's vehicle. I told her that I checked the tag prior to my arrival and the vehicle is possibly stolen. I asked the manager does she have video and a description of the suspect, and she stated that she was unable to review the video footage. As I was talking to the manager, I asked if she was having a bad day and she replied that people do not listen, so I asked her was she talking about her employees because there was no way that she could possibly be implying that I was not listening because this was my first interaction with her. The manager goes on to say, I have friends that work with your department and I will just call one of them. I tried to explain to her that I was there to help her, but she stated I can conduct my own investigation. The manager did not want to provide what information she had. I asked the manger, so what you're saying is that you do not need police services. The manager told me that I was not functioning and not listening because apparently, she had already provided the tag to the vehicle to my dispatcher and why couldn't I go to the registered owner address. I asked the manager for her supervisor contact information she stated she does not have a supervisor because they are in a transition. The manager told me to leave the store. Based on her statements, rudeness and disrespect that was unprofessional. As a police officer I have to remain as professional as possible with everyone that I come in contact.

Desired outcome: The manager needs to be addressed about how she conduct herself and how to talk to people.

Family Dollar Manager services on discount taken off at register sign, that was a LIE

Manager Services on Discount Taken Off at Register sign, that was a LIE.

I went to Family Dollar on W. State St. Salem,Ohio and the curly, red-headed manager stated "that the 'discount taken off at register sign' was not the prices of the items that had red tags on them, she said that everything was 1/2 off of regular price...but it wasnt. There were many dollar items for 63 to 68 cents and was certainly not for 1/2 off, nor was there a sign that stated it as such. This has happened throughout the past, with a recent event a month ago. She went as far as kicking people out of the stores because she doesnt like told she is wrong and customers feel hated by her. She will not hear no one and kicks them out. Her attitude is as a Hitler, that even her employees dont question her. She is rude, cruel and a threat. and NEEDS FIRED

Family Dollar Smart Coupons

On 9-30-23 at the Store #11379,I had clipped the $5.00 so if a person spends over $25.00, The coupon would take $5.00 off the cost.

However this did not happen and I might add this is Not the first time this has happened to me...

On 9-30-23 I spent $29.73 and the coupon did not work. The advertisements has always states that with the $5.00 a person would get a the discount, However when I tried through the week I told that it is ONLY good on weekends.. I have been a loyal customer to the store for many, many years..

Desired outcome: Please at least give me my $5.00 discount for this last transaction.

Family Dollar Store Is Major Fire / Safety Hazard

Good Evening I went to your location in Melbourne FL located at 2200 Sarno Rd and upon entering the store it was disgusting there were totes of merchandise all over pallets blocking aisles way that in the event of an emergency people would not be able to safely evacuate the store. Also the shelves were not organized nothing was where it supposed to be.

Family Dollar twofold, product damage, clerk refused return (family dollar-policy ignored, not followed).

09/26/2023, approx., 18:08 military time, cdt. store #405, 20 n. broadway ave, sylacauga, al 35150. Karen, assoc. on duty refused return of product purafilter funrnace filter, 1x20xx25. Further, refused to discuss, look at receipt or damaged filter...come by when assoc. that was at register when you purchased filter. Item, filter was purchased the day prior to this incident. Karen stated to me "nothing she could do". Please note the filter was in the original package purchased the day before. Return policy , Family Dollar policy, ignored, denied to myself .

Family Dollar Customer service

There is a Hispanic woman who is a manager I believe that seems to have a distorted view of what actual customer service is. She needs to watch her tone and overall attitude as she deals with the customers she checks out. She does not greet each and every customer as they enter the store nor does she greet all customers when they approach the check out counter she seems to pick and choose who she will be courteous too. I find that disrespectful and incredibly shameful. There is no reason not to treat all customers in a friendly respectful manner. She also needs to watch her tone of voice when she is dealing with the customers

I understand she has been with that particular location a very long time but that does not mean she should ever take the customers for granted

This has happened numerous times

She seems to work first shift during the week

This is the family dollar on Rapids Dr. In Racine, WI

Desired outcome: She needs to reprimanded retrained and monitored for her behavior

Family Dollar The manager

I visited the store in Southgate Michigan and as soon as I walked in it smelled like weed it was very pundent. I wanted to returned a item and the cashier called the manager and he said he couldn't return it with the manager which made absolutely no sense. I had my receipt as well. He told me to come back after 5:00 when the manager was there. I will not be back in that store they are very unprofessional. Not to mention the Marijuana smell.

Family Dollar District and store manager.

It’s been thru my employment time. Your district manager (Tabitha) of the Stillwater Oklahoma family dollar location did nothing when she was informed that extra money was being kept in the safe like anywhere between 2-25$ and the store manager (Dawn) was stealing money from the store and trying to blame it on me. I’ve showed screen shots and everything about how her store is run. She will not do anything about it. You all got people doing sketchy stuff with merchandise and money at store number 05117. I talked to Tabitha and Dawn about the money and there only excuse is they money eventually showed back up. And Stephanie (assistant manager) keeps everything written down in her note book she keeps at work.

Desired outcome: Maybe actually send someone from outside the store and district to investigate. Also you could fire the district manger because she is just watching everything happen and chooses to do nothing because it’s less paper work.

It’s not book keeping. She writes down everything from the time she clocks in to her declare and random notes. So you Howard aka the district managers husband can sit back down.

Family Dollar Employee/manager

The manager at the Royal Center Indiana Family Dollar Kristie Doty scammed me out of $100. She lied to me, she scammed, me and I feel like she stole from me. I have given lots of time to pay me back and she has not attempted to even pay me a dime. She knows that she scammed me. I confronted her at the Family Dollar store and she told me she would not pay me back and that she is the manager of this store and I am to leave. (which I did). Then about 2 hours later the cops showed up to my house. She called them and put a no trust passing against me. I guess this store doesn't need my business because of her personal business. The cops really didn't need to get involved. I did not threaten her. I did not hit her. Just words were exchanged. She even called me a drunk. Which I was not drinking at all. If she stole from me she will steal from you to.

Family Dollar Store

The Yoakum tx store is never open they say due to technical issues or it’s hot in the store, if that’s the cause how come you can’t fix the ac or technical issues.

But I heard it was because no one wants to work nights what is the point of having a store here if it’s never opened this has gone on for about a year it’s crazy. Fix the issues or hire more workers that want to work

On August 28, 2023 Monday at 12 am. I went to the store at 2810 Terry Rd, Jackson MS. I went into store to give Telethia Brown a birthday card. Then she cussed me out. Then the store manager came and to me to get the [censored] out her store. I told her she can't take to me like that. I told her I wish I could record it. Family Dollar Worker at Dyersburg tn store

Hi I was just in your store shopping looking around comparing prices and the whole darn time I am there the worker stalked me followed me around making snarl comments and even when I left she was taking pictures of me and my car! I haven’t been in your store for about a year now and I was just de stressing looking at new items thanksgiving decor etc and I literally left because of your worker if I went to one isle she was there stalking me I realize people do steal and it makes it hard. But what she is doing is beyond that! Mind you I own a business in this small town and I have never felt this way like she treated me like a damn convict!

Desired outcome: I want someone to call me handle this as it’s uncalled for and if she continues you will not have any customers

Family Dollar Customer service & store is closed regularly for no rhyme or reason.

09/05/2023, Is the date of my last poor customer service at Industry, Tx Family Dollar. The store in our small town of Industry, Texas is horrible. The store was open at 10 A.M. and when I returned at 5 P.M., the store was closed with employee cars in the parking lot and all lights were on in the store. I called the number of the store and the manager answered. I ask if the store was open and she said no and when I ask why, she said A/C was out and system was down. There was no sign posted on the door to let people know. This has become the normal operation. The store is closed nearly as much as it is open and there is no sign advising time or reason store is closed. Our little town was very happy to have a Family Dollar in our town however in the last 6 to 8 months the store is closed at least 25 to 30 percent of the time. It is really sad because it was a really great store that I little town needed and could depend on and now we don't rely on it anymore and just plan on going to the nearest town to Walmart. The manager in charge of this store can't keep employees and is causing Family Dollar to lose business. I truly hope it will become a great store again.

Family Dollar Coke product on sale

I went into the Family Dollar in Dallas, GA and there was a display of 12pk cans of coke products 3/$12. It didn't say anything on the sale sign about it had to be a digital coupon. Went to the cashier to pay with my (6) 12 packs and it rang up $40+ when it should have been $24. She told me I had to have the app to get it for that price but the sale sign said nothing about an app. I downloaded the app but the app didn't show the coke sale. She couldn't override it in the system for me to purchase at the sale price. I asked her if other people were having the same problem and she said yes and they were paying the higher price. Now that is FRAUD and clearly against the law! Over charging many people and not allowing them the sale is a crime that is cheating the public. I will be contacting my attorney over this.

Desired outcome: I had to leave the store without the sale product because your system failed to work properly and the cashier couldn't override the register to allow for the sale.

Family Dollar Employee

Kaley Highsmith, unprofessional, wouldn't get off her phone, was using inappropriate language in front of my children & was taking merchandise without paying for it & her baggy of dope fell out of her pocket when she bent down to pick something off of the floor. I know 10+ people that do not shop at the family dollar in bearden specifically because of this employee.

Family Dollar Disrespectful manager

Today I went to the Family Dollar’s store here in Brownsville, TX. 1601 E. Price Road Brownsville, TX 78521 to be exact.

I don’t normally have problems anywhere I go because I respect people and I ask the same in return.

This particular manager is there a lot. She normally speaks Spanish because in south Texas that seems to be the norm. Unfortunately, I don’t speak Spanish. Anyway, this manager always seemingly always has an attitude with me. I don’t know why. So today after she denied service to me I asked her why she always had an attitude with me and what did I do to cause the attitude. She responded in English which was a surprise to me. She knows I don’t speak Spanish so why would she speak it to me.

All I wanted was to deposit money onto my cash app. After she denied me and immediately started speaking to the next customer I felt as though my business meant nothing to her. Being rude and denying customers service for no apparent reason to me is questionable. So I asked “I’m I the wrong color?” In which I didn’t hear a response from her. I told her I felt violated and disrespected because of my skin color. I left the store to prevent the issue from escalating. I will NEVER visit that store again.

Desired outcome: Training on fair treatment to all nationalities, races, and color. And also a reminder that we are in America and Spanish is not the first language. Note: I respect the Hispanic culture! In fact, my wife is Mexican American.

Racism and discrimination seems to be a trend in the United States these days. I’ve served in many area’s overseas and have never seen discrimination like in the United States. “Land of the free, home of the brave?” That’s questionable! That seems to apply when you have the right skin color only. I’m not political. But right is right and wrong is still wrong. We’re in trouble as Americans. Especially, African Americans, and black Americans. God looks at the heart, not the color of one’s skin.
