eBay Login

I was trying to login to ebay.com today [protected]) on my Windows 10 computer to make a purchase (order # [protected]). On my home network, I use Nord VPN and my web browser (Firefox) is configured to delete browsing history when I close a window.

When I attempted to login to ebay, I received several captchas, followed by the message:

"Verify it's you. It looks like you signed in from a different computer. We'll need to confirm your identity. Call us at [protected] and mention security code [protected]."

When I called this number, the agent wanted to confirm my name, email address, street address, zip code and phone number. Apparently this was not enough of a verification and insisted on sending me an sms verification text as well. This was followed by an extended pause while she "released the lock on my account." She never asked me for the security code that I was supposed to call in with...

I tried to configure my ebay.com account for 2FA by going into Account Settings, Sign in and Security, 2-Step verification. When I tried to setup 2FA on Ebay, I received the error message "We ran into a problem, please try again later." I have been receiving this error for a couple months now.

I called customer service and the first time, the agent was confused and she kept putting me on hold. She then transferred me to a different (unknown) department where the call subsequently dropped.

I contacted customer service again and spoke with Ash (call reference # 1-[protected]). We tried setting up 2FA on my Windows 10 computer using Firefox (Private and Regular mode), Edge browser (InPrivate and Regular) and Google Chrome (Incognito and Regular mode) without success. We were also unable to configure 2FA using a Duck-Duck-Go browser on my Android phone. Each time we received an error message on the ebay website "We ran into a problem, please try again later."

Desired outcome: PLEASE MAKE LOGGING INTO EBAY EASIER. PLEASE HELP ME GET 2FA SETUP. PLEASE STOP ALL THE CAPTCHAS

eBay Lennox icomfort s30 [protected]

I purchased this product for 400.00+. The seller stated no refunds. However, I did not read this to state I would be stiffed with a defective product.
This was installed by a certified A/C technician. I can forward his comments and invoice. He said the system was working, except the screen would not power up. It was well packed. He checked the voltage and then plugged in the screen and it was dead. It's great to say you don't offer refunds. If a product is defective' It should be replaced. E-bay is not for taking people's money with no resolution.

The seller sound like he is A/C Tech who is reselling old parts, but I am not sure.
E-bay states that there is a money-back guarantee. Good luck finding any info on it. The websites just gives you the run around. At this point, as E-bay may guess and not care, this is the last of my business and I will be sure to tell all my friends.

Desired outcome: I would like my money back. Which, is the decent thing to do. Otherwise people sell broken products.

eBay Feedback from buyer

Sold item, after I left feedback and told buyer it was shipped. I received question about shipping cost clearly indicated in auction and paid invoice, customer complained about my response, and I made it clear that was the charge and why. I contacted ebay about his/her abuse and use of threat of negative feed back.
A week later he roasted me. I complained to ebay again. No acknowledgement from ebay. I have called a couple times after be told I would be update within hours. I called asked for a supervisor. I was assured one would call me back.

It has been days. Ebay does not care about sellers. This buyers has threated two other seller

eBay Received Wrong Part

Ordered 11/16 Flat Faucet Washers 10 pack. I Received a 10 pack of assorted washers none of which was 11/16. Tried to use your return app and photo part DID NOT WORK! Filled out several other complaint on your site but you just ignored them. Very dissatisfied with EBay, returns should not be this difficult also communication with EBay should be les difficult! Order number was22-[protected].

I canceled payment on my credit card.

eBay Rip off

Hellos - just thought id post this messed up situation, in case anyone else goes down this same path.

on 7/28 I ordered 2 new headlamps on ebay from seller VOLTEXPRODUCTS [ebay store] for my 2006 E450

A week later the boxes came. My first mistake was not to open the boxes right away, and I did not know ebay had started a 30day limit for return. Due to a family issue I did not get to the boxes for 50 days.

I opened the 1st box to install. Put it in, then tested. The headlight was defective creating an off-shoot beam of light to the left. I then opened the 2nd box, a box not from VOLTEXPRODUCTS but CARPARTS.com [shipped direct to me]. To my shock, in the box was not the other head-light but a rear tail-light for another type of car!

I of course contacted ebay and the seller. EBAY WOULD NOT let me issue a return. The seller thief, likely knowing this claimed that ebay was the seller, that I should contact ebay... huhhh?

WHAT THE HELL...!

So I contacted my CC company. They issued the dispute. In the dispute I was not allowed to see the official merchant response Even though the dispute was a legit one, EBAY defended the sale and the thief seller [Im guessing]. My CC company declined the dispute and stated EBAY as the seller/merchant, NOT VOLTEXPRODUCTS - the seller. 

Needless to say was rather pissed! How did the seller and ebay get away with the theft of my money?

Today I closed my CC that was used. They did not protect me, the customer, from fraud. How can I trust them if there is another such problem.

I WILL bad-mouth publicly VOLTEXPRODUCTS at every opportunity. EBAY did nothing to help me with this thief!

While there are just too many needed items for sale on ebay to ignore it, I will at every opportunity search out the seller/store AWAY FROM EBAY, and buy direct and not through ebay. I would suggest every seller state a company name where buyers can seek them out away from ebay.

I WILL NEVER AGAIN USE MY CC TO BUY DIRECT THROUGH EBAY!    I WILL USE PAYPAL.

 I will continue to actively look for other avenues  away from ebay, and ebay should take notice - I WILL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN,  EVER.

eBay GIA authentication

The GIA does not have a clue as to authenticating vintage fine jewelry and this is causing many many returns to the seller. According to GIA determining if jewelry is made of metal is as far is it goes because they CANNOT determine if the prongs around the diamond are platinum or not on vintage items and thus return them as "not authentic"! It seems that the seller who is a professional jeweler should provide the guarantee to the buyer. This whole GIA program is to make buyers feel "SAFE" but with GIA returning every sale back to the seller absolutely neither seller or buyer is happy, only the GIA and Ebay. You are forcing small businesses out with this "program". End it!

eBay X1 single oem "gmc" logo non chip key blank. Item number [protected]

Received wrong item: seller artattack-10, Buyer: wmor8315

Wmor8315: (buyer) Received my GMC key blanks on 21 Oct 2022. Took the key blanks to local GM dealer to be cut. the key blanks were cut using my original GMC key (non chip key) and will not fit in the driver's door or in the ignition switch on my 2004 GMC Sierra. Upon investigation of the cut key blades a symbol (see attached photo) was noted on the key blades shaft that is associated with a transponder key. You listed the manufacturer part number as 598009 and the brand as Strattec. You also listed the keys as a non chip key blank. The key blanks shown in your 3 photos in your listing do not have a symbol noted on the shaft and do not match the key blanks you sent to me. How can situation be rectified. Artattack-10 (seller) Greetings. I apologize for the mistake. I went through recent orders and discovered the mix up. You were inadvertently sent CHIPPED keys, not the unchipped keys like you had purchased. The mistake is 100% my fault. I can give you a complete refund, promptly. Or, if you prefer, I can resend your order to you for the correct blank(s) that you purchased. No additional cost to you whatsoever. Which ever you decide I will oblige. If you opt to have the order resent, I will also send an additional blank at no charge for the mix up. Again, I apologize for my error. Let me know what you decide and I will take immediate action. Wmor8315 (buyer) I responded to seller message on 1 November 2022. Don't know if he received the message. Have not received the correct GMC key blanks as of 14 December 2022. I opt to have the order resend to me with the correct GMC key blanks. I have sent the seller numerous messages which he has not responded to any of them.

Desired outcome: I would like to receive the correct GMC key blanks that I purchased from the seller or a complete refund.

eBay [protected] nissan versa steering wheel airbag

Ordered the above items on October 26 and paid for it.

The item was delivered but it has a two pig tails connection while the one i need is with a one pigtail connection.

I immediately filed for a return but the seller will not send his address for me to return the item.

I sent him an email to that effect but he told me he will not accept a return hence he will not send me his address.

I think the guy has used a deceptive means to extorting me on ebay. He probably have done this to so many folks on Ebay. I think this should not be acceptable

eBay Indefinite suspension

Hello,

In 2017 I was suspended indefinitely for selling Digital Goods, which I did not even know was against the rules.

It is not even a policy anymore, but eBay will still NOT allow my account to be able to sell, but it will let me be a Buyer.

I want to sell books, clothes, and gifts.

Trying to reach someone in cs by phone but can't! i have try probably 50 different sites, that your company has sent me to. Can't contact a live person. You take our money with ease. But when there is a problem we have to go through hell to get answers.

Your company can learn a hell of a lot from amazon. That's why they are number one.

They ask me 5000 Rs first after completing the task I will get 6,500 Rs , due to technical glitch I am not able to complete the task with in the time, for that they ask me 15k or 1 lack to repair the task, since I choose 15k to complete the pending task but again they ask me to complete the ladder task with 50k. but i do not have any money to take this how ever I have 29k in my ebay account, for that I ask them to assign the task which they are not helping at all.

eBay Team please look in to this and help me, I paid this 20k where I kept for my monthly house allowance.

Please take some action on them to the needful.

There is a ebay group where they are cheating the people with name of like their products for each like they pay 50 Rs for 3 days after that they will ask the people to invest some money to get more commission. after 2 days due to people technical glitches they demand for more money to complete the task. simply they collect the money they are not returning their money with some more money to complete the pending task post that they pay more commission, but that is also not processing.

Dear ebay team no idea is this happening with you guys or some illigal team is doing, please look in to this and save your brand name.

eBay auction ending times not honored by eBay

Is everyone aware that eBay accepts bids (winning bids) after the published end time for an auction?

I was the high bidder on an auction which ended at 10:02 PM on 11/19/22. The winning bid, placed by another individual, was placed at 10:02:42PM on 11/19/2022.  That is nearly a minute after the published end of the auction.  I can't find anywhere eBay information what would indicated that this standard operating procedure for eBay auctions.  Those of you that buy on eBay beware that last-second bids on an eBay auction don't necessarily mean you will win at the end of the auction even if you were the highest bidder at the close of the auction.  This practice is flawed and unacceptable.  I am not aware of any other auction house which accepts bids after the published close of an auction.  FIX THIS EBAY. NOW!

this can be explained, ebay has sellers from all over the world and different time zones. so it is possible that the auction ended after this "snipe bid" because the seller was in another time zone. that or it takes a few seconds to actually close the auction at the exact time. if a bid is sent at the last second it takes longer to close. from how i understand it. that is how i have seen auctions work in the past, so i'm not sure how they are now.

eBay Vendor MOHKAT-25

BAD VENDOR MOHKAT -25 Ten items ordered after payment of $17.14 vendor changed quantity to 1(one) within seconds I cancelled order within seconds. Vendor sent one item disguised in an AMAZON bag. After opening I returned with vendor’s printed address label 8/22/22 UPS. UPS said it was delivered to vendor or returned to return addressee(me).

Vendor agreed to refund $17.14 if I would take down negative rating.

I agreed but vendor didn’t refund $17.14 on AMAZON credit card and somehow got the negative rating removed. NO REFUND RECEIVED! Vendor collected Louisiana sales tax but did not pay sales to Louisiana. Vendor is dishonest thief and buyers should be warned not to buy from him.

Desired outcome: REFUND!!VENDOR MOHKAT-25, punished him to protect buyers and warn buyers that MOHKAT-25 stole sales tax money from state of Louisiana. I checked with Louisiana sales tax office, they did not get payment of tax. MOHKAT-25 THIEF THIEF!!!!!

eBay suspending my account

I am contacting you because I think I have not been treated fairly.

On Oct 26th, my friend's account on Ebay was suspended. I was worried because he always used my laptop for checking his account.

We contacted Ebay and asked about it and if his suspending account will affect my account as well. the agent reassures us that my account is in good standing.

Yesterday I received an email from Ebay that mentioned my account has been suspended because it is related to another account that is suspended!

I am requesting your help for this matter. I have been honest with you,and I do not understand why I should be punished for another person's fault.

Legally wise,we are 2 different people and I am not responsible for his actions.

I appreciate your follow up in this matter.

eBay I bought a product from a seller Order Number [protected]

I bought Stella & Chewey dried cat food from a seller on ebay and I never received the packages totaling $93.60. I called UPS to confirm what happened to my package. UPS asked for the my tracking number, name and address and confirmed that these packages went to somebody else.. So the seller did not use my address in the order details of my purchase. He sent both packages to wrong names and addresses. UPS sent me emails showing the tracking number the seller gave me and the addresses they went to so I could prove to ebay that these packages did not go to me. I uploaded these emails for ebay. Ebay still agreed to let the seller keep my full purchase of $93.60. I got NOTHING BACK. This seller had negative feedback and had done the same to other buyers. I don't trust ebay anymore... I am a long time seller and buyer since 2004 with thousands of 100% ONLY feedback. It is shocking how unfair ebay has become. This is not the ebay I once knew...

eBay Items bought online. Paid for in full. Never received either the items. I appealed, but still refusing refund.

I bought two Items on the same morning of the 6th September 2022. The Items purchased were similar parts, but from two different sellers. I paid in full plus import taxes and shipping which totalled to GBP142.24/ item. I received a tracking number. Started tracking the items, and on the tracking info it stated the items would be delivered between the 23rd - 27th September. To this date 26th October 2022 I have not received any of the two Items. I have written to eBay in 4 letters regarding not receiving the Items. The one Item they said they would refund me on, of which they have, but the other item they are stating it has been delivered. I have appealed the case stating they are not refunding me the GBP142.24 pounds. The 9th October 2022 I wrote to the eBay Legal Department, stating that I have not received my Item which is a Nissan Micra 1,2 Petrol Electronic Power Steering Column with OEM Part # JJ001-000505A. My Order # [protected]. Case # [protected]. Amount Paid GBP142,24 pounds. I have asked them to furnish me with the Shipping Companies, The Physical Address the Item was delivered, and for the copy of the receiving documentation with the recipients signature. The eBay Legal Department Have still not replied to me. Today 26th October 2022 I wrote to the eBay customer care and the agent replied to me stating I am not going to be refunded my monies. Please I would like any type of assistance regarding who to take my situation to so that I can be refunded my monies or receive my Item I purchased but have not received. My email address is [protected]@yahoo.com. My mobile number is +[protected]. Any advice please, or if I am allowed to go to the media, and to which media would assist me, by exposing eBay.

eBay Selling and customer service.

I ordered and paid on June 12, 2022 on eBay for a package (order n° [protected]) that I still have not received on October 21, 2022, more than four months later.

The seller never gave me explanations nor replied to my four messages concerning this matter. The seller did not refund my purchase either.

I contacted many times eBay customer service, but so far with no results at all.

I have underlined below several problems concerning my order that should be corrected by eBay as they may be repeated with other customers :

• Problem # 1, tracking information : According to the “tracking details” provided on eBay, my parcel was paid for on June 12, 2022, then shipped on June 17, 2022. No other information is listed after that date such as : posting/collection in China, arrival at outward office of exchange in China, dispatch from outward office of exchange in China, item presented to import Customs in New Caledonia, item returned from import Customs in New Caledonia, processing at delivery Post Office in New Caledonia, final delivery to me.

According to eBay’s "selling practice policies” :

“Providing tracking details for items you've sold is an industry standard and something that your buyers expect. Tracking data lets buyers know where their item is throughout the shipping process, and can be critical in cases where the buyer claims they didn't receive an item. Learn more about uploading tracking information.

What to do :

Upload accurate tracking details

Upload tracking details within your specified handling time

Mark the item as 'Shipped' in My eBay or Seller Hub once it has been sent

What not to do :

Upload information other than valid tracking in the tracking field, including tracking not associated with the transaction

Upload tracking information later than the handling time window promised in your listing”.

So, it is obvious that these policies were not followed by the seller, who did not provide any accurate and updated details of the tracking. Nobody knows where is the item now.

• Problem # 2, communication : According to eBay practices, the seller must :

“Respond promptly to any questions during the bidding or buying process, as well as after the item has been purchased

Communicate professionally, including emails

Be responsive to any buyer concerns or problems”.

In this case, the seller never responded to my four messages of October 10, October 13, October 14 and October 20.

• Problem #3, seller rating : Seller claims to be a “Top Rated Seller, Crazy Fashion Shop is one of eBay's most reputable sellers. Consistently delivers outstanding customer service”.

According to Ebay, top rated seller is “providing an exceptional quality of customer service”.

In reality, the seller is not providing an exceptional quality of customer service, as evidenced by all his negative feedbacks attached, which note in particular his failure to respond to messages from the buyers, or, on several occasions, the non-receipt of his packages.

• Problem #4 : money back guarantee : According to eBay, I cannot ask a refund as the 30 days delay after the estimated delivery of the item, on August 24, 2022, is passed.

This answer is neither accurate nor satisfactory because eBay asked me to allow to the seller additional time for the delivery of the package, due to the congestion of shipments by post office.

EBay are therefore responsible if I have not requested the refund within 30 days after August 24, 2022.

• Problem #5 : eBay “customer service”: I sent several messages to eBay "customer service", each time, a different person answered me, even during the same day.

This is too many people at different times to solve efficiently the same issue. Each person has not enough commitment to study the file sufficiently.

The fact is that all these persons did not solve my issue at all. Worse, they gave me contradictory answers.

Thus, Gaichuingam, from eBay “customer service”, said to me :

“to resolve this issue, I would recommend you to contact the seller via registered email address (not from eBay messages). A copy of conversation is always sent to user's registered email address. You can reply to that conversation (seller) if you had earlier with seller via registered email address with eBay”.

As this registered email address is not available on eBay, nor on internet, I asked eBay “customer service” to give it to me.

Parnoy from eBay “customer service” then answered to me :

“I would also like to share that we are not authorized to share the personal information of our customers to any other customer due the GDPR policy. However if the seller wish to refund and they are facing issue in the process, then you can ask them to contact us, we will guide them accordingly”.

It therefore turns out that the instructions given by eBay "customer service" are disavowed by the service itself, these instructions are obviously not appropriate.

It is also obvious that this seller can do whatever he wants on eBay : he would refund me if he “wishes” to. He should actually be required to do so by eBay.

Your “customer service” is therefore more of a “seller service”.

• Conclusions :

1) I ordered and paid on June 12, 2022 on eBay for a package that I still have not received on October 21, 2022, more than four months later, I was supposed to receive this package by the end of August 2022 ;

2) There is no tracking information at all concerning my order since June 17, 2022 ;

3) The seller never gave me explanations nor replied to my four messages concerning this matter ;

4) The seller did not refund my purchase either. Order paid on internet, but never received and never refunded is called in law “internet scam” ;

5) The seller has dishonest and impolite practices because eBay policies are not strictly followed by eBay.

Please note I will continue to send messages to the seller and to eBay until I get my refund.

eBay Never received refund.

Hello.

I am contacting you very late on this issue...

The reason is that I have had serious problems and life changing events the last couple of years...

I bought a wifi spy cam last year and The item I received was broken...

I have never had any kind of refund from this purchase...(and I even paid 10 dollars to return The camera to China...)

I guess it's too late to do anything about this matter now but everytime I see the supposed "Refunded" article I get pissed off...

I send a screenshot with the info you need.

eBay Customer service

Bought a ring from a seller and it is too big to enjoy or wear. The ring cost me $460.00 and the seller refuses to refund. Ebay sides with the seller and hides my right to leave feedback. Ebay chooses to HIDE the dissatisfied feedback so seller can continue selling under the pretense that all his customers are satisfied which is a big LIE. Ebay is acting biased and showing difference while discriminating as to who can leave feedback and who can't. Ebay customer service told me my feedback was hidden by Ebay. Ebay needs to delete the feedback option if it is only for specific people and not all.

Desired outcome: Refund or be able to leave feedback to warn potential customers.
