If you buy a Zurich extended warranty, or any extended warranty, READ IT. Seriously, this is a contract worth thousands of dollars, covering your car, which is the second largest purchase you make in your life; who would sign up for that without reading the terms? If the sales person reassured you "It's bumper to bumper, " guess again! These contracts have exclusions, it's in the contract paperwork, you have to read it and understand what you signed up for. Yes the sales people at the car dealerships lie, that's what they do. All the complaints on here are from people who never bothered to read their contract, they just believe the lies of the salesman. If you buy the lowest level of coverage that's available, on a high mileage junker that's over 100, 000 miles at the time of purchase, guess what, you're getting bare bones coverage. Most times rubber seals and gaskets are excluded if you sign up for this contract when your vehicle has 100, 000 miles or more. Physical damage is excluded, rust damage is excluded. Rental only applies AFTER the claim is approved, and then it is limited to $30 per day. And the number of days is limited. The towing benefit is limited. And this is all in the contract paperwork, in black and white. I have been burned by warranties and insurance before, and that's how I learned you have to read and understand the terms. Don't be shocked if you find out the dealer salesman lied to you. They do it all the time, no matter how nice they seem. Sometimes even they don't understand the terms. They are there to sell, not to be warranty claims adjusters. If you read the contract and don't get it, pick up the phone and call the company, ask questions. But do it before your car is broke down in the shop.

I purchased a zurich warrant 4 years ago and never had a claim. this warranty cost me $2, 500. dec 23rd, 2017 my car broke down 3 hours from home. had to have it towed. the service dealership fixed it and contacted zurich who denied the claim stating it was cold weather related. seriously? I live in wisconsin. yeah, it gets cold here people. never purchased an extended warranty until this vehicle purchase. never again! will be contacting the bbb!
