Zaxby's management and coworker

The zaxbys I work at has a lack of management and bad communication. One specific co worker blew up on me because I got the orders mixed up when I was simply trying to help bag it and it's not like I had a headset on too and then on top of that she never communicated with me. Then the manager rob, just allowed her to yell and humiliate me and yesterday was my 6 - 7 day working their. They also tend to show favoritism especially when it comes to work schedule. They give the people who was working their most of the hours and the new people scraps. I have been working since february and I only worked 6 - 7 times which is unfair. When I do work they don't even attempt to train me on the register they keep me in the bathroom and dining room which shows the lack of effort in me training on register or drive through. I am on the verge on filing a huge complaint and will even consider making it public in a local newspaper.

Zaxby's fired for no reason

My daughter who is 16 years old got her first job working at Zaxby's in Cleveland Georgia.She loved working, she went to work everyday and talked about work all the time, she made friends there and even gave them two referrals that still work there.She was asked to train the new girls, and to tell them what they needed to do.The manager's name is Zina Hale, and apparently had it out for my daughter.One Saturday when MY daughter was
scheduled to work from 11:am till 11 pm that night after working the night before until 11 then coming in at 8:30 that morning for a meeting.I received a text message from my daughter that evening saying that she just got fired.
I was shocked and the first thing I thought was, What did she do to get fired?, It
must of been pretty bad, a few minutes later she was at the front door crying .My daughter was so upset, she couldn't even talk about it, after a day she finally told me that they fired her because apparently she was rude to other employees, in her defense, which she tried to explain to Zina Hale
and was not able to even defend herself, she told me she was joking around
with this boy and she said I'm going to punch you in the face.This is just something she says, and she doesn't really mean that she is going to punch someone.She was called into the office, and the manager Zina Hale told her she was terminated for being rude to fellow employees and apparently her as well.Following the firing, Sarah went to speak and wasn't even allowed to defend herself, Zina Hale told her no, no you don't get to talk, and then told her to count her draw and go, she was even afraid to use her phone.While crying and counting her draw Zina Hale just walked by her and gave her a cold stare .I understand their concern with Sarah being rude but they didn't even give her a warning or a write up, just fired her .I really can't believe someone can get away with firing someone just because she can.My daughter worked late when they needed her never called in, never came in late, and she gets fired for having a bad day, mainly because she was overworked.I hope Zina Hale gets the same karma back at her someday when she gets fired and if I have anything to do with it I hope it's soon...

First of all, if you knew my daughter you would know she would never punch someone, it was a joke, just like when you say", I'm going to kill you", Does that really mean that you are going to kill someone no.?, she was joking around, like kids do these days, and the very only time she said anything like that, other then that, she was a very good employee. This is just a matter of not liking her period, one manager did not like her and that was it, she found what ever she could to fire her bottom line .I have worked in so many places and almost came to blows with other employees and no one got fired. This is just an excuse for this woman to do what ever she wants. The boy she said it too told her he would punch her back yet they didn't fire him. I don't care what they might of thought they didn't even give her a chance to talk just made her sign a paper that said she was terminated and she didn't even know what she did wrong. If she thought it was wrong she would not of done that, she wasn't trying to get fired, besides she was afraid of the manager yet the paper said she was disrespectful to managers, that is a bunch of bull. This seems to me that you think that Zaxby's does everything by the book, no I think not, they have 16 year olds working there 11 hours a day and only giving one break all day they also make them work until 11pm on school days, a friend of my daughters still works there under the same manager Zina Hale and said some boy came up to her and told her to suck his ? fill in the rest but he happens to be a favorite of Zina's so nothing happened to him. This woman is a
bottom line and if my daughter was a favorite and she said that, she would of done anything to give her a second chance it was wrong I don't care what anyone on here says...

A basic foundation of fairness in discipline is:

giving an employee notice that there is a problem
providing an opportunity for the employee to change behavior, possibly through coaching
In this philosophy, the purposes of discipline are to:

put a stop to the unacceptable behavior

I am well aware that it is not appropriate behavior, work or not, and in no way condone what she said.It was the way it has handled, Sarah was an other wise good employee which should count for something.What happened to the three strikes your out policy which is the Zaxby policy?As far as only hereing her side, I went up to Zaxbys and confonted the manager myself and at first all they could say was Sarah was the only one that could get that information, after that was said Zina the manager came out, (the one who fired her )and said she was rude to an employee and to her .So I asked her was she ever rude before and she said no.so I said did she get written up and she said yes she got written up, so I said when? she said same day I fired her.So she was basically a good employee who never got written up, came in on time never called off and even worked late for them, trained other girls, even though she was new herself she says one thing out of line and they fire her?The boy she said that to wouldn't even write a complaint thats is why they had to get an other girl to write it.The boy drove her home too!

I did get the information from the manager and they said the same thing she said, she was terminated for being rude to the employees and managers.She wasnt serousily threatening anyone they were not fighting just joking.Even so they did not go by the three strikes rule, straight to the firing.I have worked in many of places and been threatened seriously and no one got fired.The simple fact is the manager didn't like her and if she did she would of given her a second chance because she was a good worker prior to that she always came in on time never called off, they had her train other employees and tell other employees what to do.The issue is with the management, if they could of told me that she was being rude prior to one day then I would say yes fire her she deserved it.When I tried to get the information Zina Hale did nothing but give me a run a around, so if there is more to the story like you say, then why aren't they telling me?, I had my daughter go up there with me yesterday and all i got was a peice of paper with a warning then on the bottom saying final warning, presigned by the managers, when she came in the office and they told her what she did without even hearing her side, Zina Hale told her no, no you can't speak.The funny thing about this is that the guy who she supposely threatened would not even write a complain and drove her home.So tell me there isn't something fishy going on.Rules are rules and unless she went up to him and told him I am going to punch you in the face because she was mad then there is no reason to be so drastic and fire her.The manager will not release the information on what the other employees said.

I think the manager definitely had it out for Sarah, My opinion. If the guy didn't complain, we are talking teenagers, the other girl who did, liked the guy. It's called jealousy. Pure out green with envy, jealousy. The manager favored the other employee. Right smack dap in your face what happened. If you are a manager, your job is to be impartial.

Zaxby's management

I want to complain that enough kudos are not given to Zaxby managers who go up and beyond the call of duty. My 87 yr old father who still drives became lost in the backroads of Georgia. He finally stopped at a gas station and a Zaxby manager noticed him. The manager asked my father if he needed help and he told him he was lost. The manager called us for my father. He was over a 100 miles from home. While we headed to his location, the manager fed and comforted my father until we arrived. The manager and his staff was patient and kind, never complaining. I see too many complaints on this page when we should also recognize the angels that go up and beyond the call of duty for others.

Zaxby's bigoted manager

I work at zaxbys in Atlanta and yesterday one of the managers was saying some very troubling things. While working she decided to have a conversation about transgender bathroom's. Although I said could we please not she continued to egg on the conversation. She proceeded to say that trans and queer individual's were sick in the head and a slew of other hateful comments. I am openly queer and use both bathrooms at the store. Although she saw that I was visibly upset she continued to talk about and spread hateful dialogue with other employees in the kitchen. I am very uncomfortable working in the space as a queer and trans person and frankly I cannot work with someone who spouts such hate speech. I don't understand why people are bringing their political views in the workplace. It was not the time or place.

Zaxby's unethical behavior

On 5/2/16, my sister was a victim of work place bullying by her manager. in store 58401 store. My sister is recovering from a blood clot that traveled from her right leg to her lungs. Her physician has her on a restricted work schedule of four hours and non strenuous activities. She is currently on blood thinners and pain medicine that she has to carefully schedule when she should take it before or after work. On 5/2/16 she was experiencing chest pains that are associated with having Pulmonary embolism. She ran late, just 10 minutes coming to work and when she arrived her GM begin harassing her about being late and needing her personal medicine schedule to help her get to work on time. I called in the complaint to corporate because I was still on the phone and heard these obscene behavior and the owner of this location called me back and as I expressed my concern and issue with in which his GM addressed my sister, He seemed aloof. He told me that if she was never late we would not be having this conversation. I acknowledge she should have called but it does not make it okay for Ms. Leach to talk to her in that way. He then proceed to tell me and I quote, "I will talk to Ms. Leach about you felt about how she talked to your sister but I will not coach her on her tone." Which basically lets me know he approves this unheard of behavior. I fear because of his lack of motivation to resolve the problem they may retaliate on my sister because I called corporate on them but I feel I had no choice. Obviously they deem this behavior acceptable, when clearly this is work place bullying. I need help for someone to address this issue, my sister feels they have no patience with her since she has been diagnosed with P.E. and they only regard her as a headcount in their store. This is also the same manager, Ms. Leach that insisted my sister come into work when she first had this blood clot traveling to her lung and felt to ill to come into work before she knew what was going on which was life threatening. Thank God she decided to go to the ER. Please help us .

Zaxby's terrible and rude manager.

There is a manager that works there who is very rude to me. I am fairly new and instead of trying to train on how to do my job better she has constantly been rude and snappy with me when I make mistakes such as getting a sauce wrong. She also seemed to accuse me of stealing money even though I had not taken anything. Zaxbys need to check who they assign as manager because she is not the right person for the job attitude wise.

Zaxby's food

This is my first complaint ever in my life. For years I have visited the Zaxby's location in Thomasville and always received wonderful service and delicious food.

On a trip yesterday afternoon at 5:30 I stopped by Zaxby's in Moultrie, GA and order a Big Zak Snack Meal. The fries were so so but the chicken was not eatable. It was cooked extremely too long and was hard and dry. I went thru the drive thru on my way to Fitzgerald. I guess the drive thru was a mistake because evidently they do not care what they serve.

Never before have I had a complaint and had I not been traveling I would have turned around and returned for a refund.

I don't know the policy of Zaxby's for overcooked food but it should never be served to paying customers when it is not eatable. My dinner went in the trash and I purchased another meal on the road.

Thank you for your time. I will NEVER visit the Moultrie location again.

Zaxby's management

Hello! I'm a former employee of Zaxbys on hwy 157 in Cullman, AL. I was hired before the store opened. I worked 3 days when the store opened & on Sunday I had called to get my schedule bc i was off that weekend, so when i called, they informed me they had to let me go due to "performance issues". Ok, 1st off, they didn't even have the decency to call me to tell me & 2nd, how can they judge your performance after 3 DAYS? I didn't even train on the job I was hired to do. I did everything else BUT that! So how are they to tell me I had performance issues. I even went up there this weekend to hand in my shirt & visor & to talk to them & he tells me "3 days is more than enough time for them to decide that". I find this very shady! I called & have left y'all a message so I hope y'all call me back to talk to me. I love Zaxbys food but like I told him this weekend, I'll never step foot back in that particular store. If I want Zaxbys I'll go to other ones!

I find it telling the Zaxby's has not reached out to this person with some kind of communication from this complaint. No, three days is not long enough to fire someone based on "performance issues" without some kind of record of what took place, how he/she was asked to improve, and how they failed to do so. This leaves a BAD taste in my mouth about Zaxby's, period. To allow this kind of HR B.S. to go on is beyond stupid. For real. John Fiske, Zaxby's customer, Huntsville, AL. Zaxby's boneless wings

Always have eaten at and loved Zaxby's. I am totally sick at stomach while eating wings and bit down into a boneless wing piece with a tough rubbery texture and half cooked with a slight pinkish color in middle. The sad part is that upon further investigation, I am not sure if it's boneless chicken or what! I am totally sick and to make matters worst, I called store to complain and Store Manager Courtney gladly said we will be glad to give you a free meal...Are you kidding me? Not only have I eaten Lord knows what, but inconvenieced as well and then I go back and probably get the other half of whatever this is..I will call health department in the a.m. This is terrible..here's a pix. You be the judge..

Zaxby's fried house salad

I get a fried house salad from Zaxby's at least once a week. I just recently noticed the receipt says it's suppose to come with 4 chicken fingers. I've never had 4 on my salad. Maybe 2- 2.5. It's sad that I'm paying my money for something and I'm given less than what I'm paying for. From now on, I will be ordering my salad with my chicken fingers uncut. Hopefully that won't be a problem but I'm sure it will since they don't like giving customers the food that is paid for.

Zaxby's food poisoning from boneless wings

On Sunday, January 24th, my mother and I stopped by for some lunch
after church. It is personally not my favorite place to eat but it was okay. Since my youngest daughter was at home, I ordered her some boneless wings to take to her at the house. Later that evening, she became violently ill and was sick for a few days. We went back over where she had been and what she had eaten and the wings were the only thing different she had eaten was the wings. Please let them know that food poisoning is a real thing and it can happen to anyone.

Zaxby's on line ordering

On 02/04/2016 at 7 PM I attempted to place a on line order. After making my selections I entered my credit card number. Placed my order and received a reply, " there is a problem please call [protected]. This Zabys is located on County Road 484, Ocala, Florida 34473. I called the store and had to request the manager because the young lady who answered had no idea what to do. Your manager told me he was aware of the problem but because he was a franchise operation, corporate Zaxbys did not care. That is unacceptable to offer a service that does not work. I gave my order over the phone for pick up on Super Bowl Sunday. Hope I am not disappointed with my order. You need to insure all on line services offered are working. Would appreciate a reply. Thank you.

Zaxby's employees kept looking around corner and grinning at me at drive through

Now I know why... I ordered 2 kitty grilled cheese, fries and chocolate milk for my 2 children. When I got home and opened the bags to serve my children I find that 1 of the dinners was fine but the other one only had 5 1/2 fries in the box and the grilled cheese had a bite taken from it! You could see the teeth marks in it! I have been going to this place 2-3 times per week for years, but tonight was the end for me! These employees knew what they were sending out that window, this is why the black guy was looking around the corner and grinning and why the young white girl that was at the window was trying to not laugh. This kind of service is just unacceptable! (if these uncaring employees will do this to food and send it out to their customers, there's no telling what they might put into the food... This is sickening!)

Zaxby's management

When I walk in at 5pm, I see a new manager. She was yelling at her employees, and pushing/bossing them to do other things. Ironically, this was only happening to me, not anyone else. My new general manager (GM as we call them) does the same thing. The date is 1/8/16. At my store, we like to leave when we close (because none of us want to be at the store hour after hour helping close). So I try to do dishes throughout the day just to help get things started. This happened around 6pm. I was told from the new manager that doing dishes was the last thing you do. So I was sent to drop (cook) fingers. After I drop them in the fryer, the manager said I did everything wrong and that I was her "dropping man." Around closing time, I was told to sweep the floor, but another employee politely asked if I could wipe the counter. I proceed to wipe the counter. After 15min of cleaning up center line, the new manager comes back and says "You're still wiping. I asked you to sweep." I politely said that I was getting to that. But she said that I had to stop what I was doing immediately and sweep the floor causing the inside of me to rage. At the end of the day, I was written up due to my actions and my "blatant attitude." I left a note on the sheet saying that other members asked me to do other tasks at the same time. That night I went home in tears due to this harassment from the new managers.

Zaxby's customer service

first of all, I love Zaxbys, well I did. I usually go to Zaxbys to eat before work and one day I was in the drive thru as usual and order the #6. Well when I got to the window, this girl is like "oh it'll be like 5 minutes" in like a rude ghetto voice. And she's like "you're going to have to pull up" and I'm over here late for work and then they finally give me my food. When I get to the break room at work, I open it AND ITS NOT EVEN MY BONELESS CHICKEN WINGS. What if I choked on the bones?! That's why I order boneless! Smh. There are other thingsthat happened but this one is the experience I hated the most. Thanks Zaxbys for ruining fast food for me.

Zaxby's no hours for three weeks and then was taken off of schedule without notification

My name is Theo. I was hired in July and worked about 28 hours a week. I worked 28 hours a week in the summer, but my hours reduced when I went back to school. I worked about 10-14 hours a week but one day when I called in I was told that I did not have any hours. I was told that I was not assigned a time. Today, after 3 weeks of not having any hours, I was told I was no longer on their schedule. I do not understand why I was never contacted or given an explanation. I think that it is pretty sad that I was never told what I may have done wrong. It is pretty frustrating to not know. Isn't it unethical to be letting go without a notice or even a meeting. I say those are poor work ethics.

Zaxby's management creating drama and lying on employees

I no longer work at this location but the drama that the head manager and her daughter create is extremely unprofessional. The manager creates rumors about other employees and creates very uncomfortable situations and atmosphere. I do not know how upper management can keep someone like this on board. The daughter is just as bad. She talks about her own mother's sexual preferences and style and many other awful things. She (the daughter) is always there even after shift ends and on her days off. she has been clocked in even when she is not scheduled to work. they make up these awful rumors of employees they do not like. It is so unfortunate that good and hardworking people have to leave voluntarily because of the awful and unhealthy environment these women have created. They ridicule some of the employees and chritisize them for their appearance. I had to get out of that place! It is a true sewer in that place. In my book this is bullying when they make employees feel so uncomfortable.

Zaxby's service

Who designed their drive-up window at the Clinton, UT location? I like to have a menu in front of me when I order. The speaker where they take orders is no where near the menu. You have to drive around the building to get to the drive-up window or drive through several parking lots to get to it. I tried to order online so I could just pick up my order but there was a technical error. I have only been there 2 times in several years and now I remember why. I was so disgusted with the process that drove thru without ordering.

Zaxby's service and rude employees

Went thru the drive thru, when I paid at window I ask employee to make sure my order was correct. Employee never checked just handed me my food and slammed window shut. When I got home I found that I had no ranch dressing for my salad but also paid for extra. Drove back to speak with manager and report employee, she gave me my ranch dressing and said she would take care of it. I said now my food is going to be cold at which point she said if you want to bring it back I can replace it. Well DUH I had just had to drive back to get what they had left out of my order so I sure was not going to go home then come back again. This is just not acceptable from a zaxbys manager

Zaxby's boneless chicken wings and fried cheese

10/14/15 This is the second time I have been to this location: 8812 Harvest Oaks Drive, Raleigh NC Both times the wait was terrible and there was nobody in front of me at the drive through. 7 min is bad. I should have left. The first time the food was good, I got a salad. The second time the boneless chicken was over cooked and so was the fried cheese. Not surprising since I sat there and waited 7 min. I won't be back to this Zaxby's, shame cause it is close to my house.
