UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
Complaint Rating: 100 % with 22 votes
Company information:
Your Profit Gateway (YPG) Internet BIZ

United States
Phone: 800-497-4988

This business was authorized to charge 1.95 ONLY on 9/8/09. There was not apparent disclosure of ANY further charges. Since I knew this may not be a reputable firm, I created what's called a ShopSafe card with a LIMIT of $5.00 through my bank to avoid any charge over the 5.00 limit.

On 09/13/09 I received a call from my bank's FRAUD department to advise this company was in fact attempting to charge 79.90 to the card with the 5$ limit.

I contacted the number listed on the site and received a recording to call back during normal business hours which I intend to do. I also emailed them from the their site. It is my opinion that THIS IS A SCAM and many others have posted the same complaint. My bank has 'flagged' the company .

Here is the address for the business though I cannot verify it's a good one: 230 W 400S - Suite 100, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101. The number I have is: 1800-4974988 Hours: M-F 7am-6pm PDT

INTER-NETTERS BEWARE!
DO NOT fall for this $1.97 GOOGLE thing (Your Profit Gateway (YPG) Internet BIZ). It is a scam. It is cleverly designed to grab $79.00 from your bank account before you know it. By the time you learn of the $79.00 charge, the trial period will be over and you will realize that you have been scammed. There are no refunds and you have lost $79.00.

On September 12th, I paid $1.97 for the "Free trial to Google Home Business Kit" On September 19th, I learned that there was a pending charge of $79.00at my bank from "Your Biscuit" (?????) and an 800#. I had not knowingly authorized any such charge and attempted to call the 800# provided to me by my bank, but because the 7th day fell on a Saturday, no one was available. However, an email was sent September 19th demanding immediate cancellation and refund of the $79.00 to my bank account. No response.

Because no credit has yet been issued to my bank account, a follow-up to the 800# was made today, September 25th. I was informed that because I had not canceled within the 7-day free trial period, there would be no refund. September 12th (date paid $1.97) plus 7 days equals September 19th, right? My request for cancellation should have been accepted. I just lost $79.00

SHAME ON GOOGLE!!!

I'm looking at this company now and the terms and conditions clearly state that: “Should You fail to cancel Your Subscription within the 7-day trial You will be billed $79.90 at the completion of the 7-day trial and every month thereafter for continued services and hosting of your Visual Webtools software unless canceled by You." This is directly from the site, so people, PLEASE read and understand the Terms and Conditions before you order things like this!!!
The Company wasn't in the wrong for attempting to charge you. You have to check that you read and agreed the Terms and conditions before they send you anything. Don't be in such a rush, you signed a binding contract and didn't read through before ordering the kit. Believe me it happens to the best of us. I have lost thousands of dollars due to me not reading all the way through. I surely Read and make sure I understand the T&C now before I give my information to these companies.

I also have fallen for this SCAM!!! I was able to find out that the phone number to call is out sourced to a third party and it is in the Phillipines. That made me even angrier at this so called Google internet home business. I am disabled and have been searching for something to do at home and this really burns my hide. I thought better of Google than to suport a SCAM. I called to cancel my membership on the seventh day and was informed that I was 2 days late. How can the 2nd of Oct.-9th of Oct. be over seven days?
Guess the Phillipines don't know how to count.
I will never again fall for one of these scams. Shame on the company that says it is in the United States and gives you a foreign country to call.
I will always read the fine print before I make any decision on another purchase no matter what it is and what it is for.

I just called these people from the UK, what a load of sharks, I had cancelled 2 days after signing up, but they say they have no record of my call, so I was charged $79.90. I have argued my point and managed to get half of my money back. well.. I was promised a refund of half, time will tell if I get it or not.. I'm not happy at all. Its shameful of Google to support such a scam..

Signed up to this compnay (live in the UK), paid my £2.51 initial fee then was charges a firther £52 a week later. How on earth are you supposed to know if you want to cancel your subscription when its going to take over 3 weeks for the information pack to reach the UK in the first place. THESE PEOPLE ARE BLANTENTLY STEALING FROM US AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT. Have reported it nto UK office of fair trading but unfortunately I wont be getting my money back. BE AWARE PEOPLE ... I HAVE NOW HAD TO CANCEL MY CARD TO AVOID ANY FURTHER MONEY BEING DEDUCTED. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY PACK AND HAVE ALREADY HANDED OVER £54!!! IF I HAD SOMEONE FROM THIS COMPANY HERE WITH ME RIGHT NOW I WLD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY ACTIONS!!! IF YOURE READING THIS ... YOURE A BUNCH OF THIEVING B*STARDS!!!

I have tried to call them within the 7 days to cancel but keep getting a recordrd message - I live in the UK so there is no way a letter would reach them on time! However I did manage to find a number of e-mails for my profit gateway and their parent pacific web works. I e-mailed to ask them to cancel as its within the 7 days and they are not answering the phone- I also told them I have cancelled my debit card so they won't be getting any money from me. They replied straight back from billing@pacificwebworks.com to say my subscription is cancelled. I have cancelled my card anyway just to be on the safe side!
The e-mail addresses I found are: profitgw@gmail.com ; info@pacificwebworks.com ; ir@pacificwebworks.com ; sales@pacificwebworks.com ; training@pacificwebworks.com ; billing@pacificwebworks.com
Hope this helps some of you.

Yes this is a scam. I will contact my bank and have them flag this account to stop giving payments. Maybe this will help you also. Sad about Google.
