Yahoo! customer service

I got an email today from a colleague who said I was hacked by an email that he received from me containing a link to somewhere. I called Yahoo customer service to discuss what I should do, and the fellow I was connected to (India) immediately started asking questions about my computer and then started to point things out saying that I needed to use a Level 5 technician in a 3rd party company (whom I don't know from a hole in the wall) to fix my computer of any security risks. I was quoted that my system as 72% hacked into and soon all my personal information would be owned by hackers. To circumvent this crisis, he wanted to transfer me to a 3rd party company who would charge me $99.00 to fix my computer. For all I know, the web site he tried to show me was fake and the people to whom would help me might rob me blind. This was an organized scam from the beginning. I had to hang up on this individual. I am shocked that Yahoo supports this practice to which I am reporting to AT&T and the Better Business Bureau. I expect much more professional service from my internet provider. I asked the technician to whom I contacted as to whether this was Yahoo.com technical support at least 3 times. He kept repeating this was Yahoo technical support

Yahoo! answers

Why am I not allowed to ask a question that implies criticism of the terrible new Yahoo mail app. It is constructive criticism about the new interface, the lack of choice and lack of implementation warning. When I try and ask a question I am told it is -166 points and does not let me submit! This is frankly Orwellian and utterly disgraceful. I thought you were a progressive, liberal American organisation not some kind of tinpot, totalitarian state bent on blanket censorship.

Yahoo! small business

Yahoo Small Business has charged me for roughly 7 years for a service I didn’t have? They charged me $12.95 a Month for web hosting, which I stopped using around 2008 or 2007? I have several charges from Yahoo all year round for various domain and email services, so I get mixed-up? When I call about once or twice a year and get the full run-a-round! Every phone call is the same, garbage service, lies and a promise to speak with a supervisor who can fix this problem “They will definitely call you back” “I Promise” and other “BS” with no return phone calls or change in service. I tried the other day, the customer service person acknowledged my situation and said “ A supervisor will call you back” and “you can trust me”. As usual nothing happened and it’s been 5 days! He told me that he understood my situation because havnt used the service in 7 years and that Yahoo would not charge me the 12.95 anymore a month. When I asked about the 7 years of charges returned to me, I never heard back from them

Yahoo! attempted fraud

Davoud Hastings via Yahoo 4:10 PM (7 hours ago) to geeroys09 Be careful with this message. It contains content that's typically used to steal personal information. Learn more Report this suspicious message Ignore, I trust this message Davoud Hastings shared this with you You are EXPOSED Hey! I would like to tell you that Ashley Madison was recently hacked, and now I have all the information about your online affairs and even the cheatings you did ;) I have located all your social networking and dating website profiles, and using this I am going to send message to all of your friends and family members about this. Well, for sure, you would feel ashamed if I tell your family members and friends about this, and it would be even more worse, when you meet them face to face. Wondering how to prevent me from doing this? Its simple, you need to send just 1 Bitcoin (i.e One BTC) to the following Bitcoin address: 1KFBbdsJ8uSMDjjGoufu53hSGy4MfAXtjU You may be wondering why should you and what will prevent other people from doing the same, in short you can now delete your social and dating accounts. So go ahead and give it a try. Do you think, you can get away so easily? I have already saved a copy of your profiles, pics, chat logs, and even the contact details of your relatives and friends. To send a Bitcoin, you can use sites like CoinBase. If I do not receive the Bitcoin in the next 48 hours, I am going to contact all of your friends and relatives and post your profiles, pics, etc all ONLINE. Oh! I didnt tell you, that I know where you live and hangout, did I? Just think if you are in committed relationship how this will affect your social standing amongst your friends, family members and others. Your countdown is started. Good Luck! Read the full story

Yahoo! not receiving expected service

I have been using Yahoo email address for years for all my social and business correspondences. In June 2015, I suspected that I was hacked and followed the help tips provided by Yahoo to try to rectify the problem but it did not work. I kept asking for help only to be told that all was well. I received my mails again for a few days and it started again. After this I made several attempts to get help but I received no reply from Yahoo. Currently I am not receiving any in-mails, some are sent to trash folder, others not shown at all. I had created some folders and in these folders some were filter into them without my knowledge. I can't also send any mails, my clients complain that they do not receive my mails instead they receive fraudulent messages from unknown people who are pretending to be me. I reported all this but nothing was done. I am loosing a lot of business and confidence from people and business partners. Please can rectify this problem.

Yahoo! message board for pva (stock)

People on this Yahoo board report willhuaws and this person is still posting. This person is racist and rude to many. Yahoo information is not private as this person calls out the person named Tom and I did not see anyone post by the name of Tom. Yahoo information is not private to it's users. Yahoo does not have a valid complaint department. Yahoo message board within financial, for PVA stock willhuasw • 27 minutes ago 2users liked this postsusers disliked this posts1Reply Response to Tom's 10/29 advise. Tom, I see you have gain some popularity from "consultation" work. good for you. I agree with what you are saying on the online arguments with bullies.. But if someone are habitual bullies that taking on sick pleasure of picking on others, then by using avoidance approach like I had tried in the past, will only encourage their further aggression with double down and triple down with the attacks. As you can see in the past week, rants to me escalated from "sending trump to get you illegals", "D/H", to calling muslim american terro-rist etc... For someone like me who had serviced in this country and earn citizenship through service and choice, those ra'cist spurs on Muslims like "20+ wife with warts (scars) all over their faces living in tent, terr-orists and illegals" assumption comments are contradicting my basic belief to the country, if I hear someone sending me those again, I will not hesitate to respond at any given days. If you read my EGY forum In the past, I had defended Hebrew community many times when ra''cist spur on line strikes. I simply will not go ignore on those types.. Regarding my investment predictions, according to your own posts before, you had benefited from my prediction of price adjustment back in JUNE & JULY, and according to you, you had cut further losses in July when you sold them at $3s. You had also asked me numerous times for price prediction from July-Oct, which you might or might not benefit from my views of the trends.. I believe everyone has their unique talents and interests, Mine are numbers and I am passionate in analyzing and talking about them, how about you put me on ignore for your political correctness or just watch will be will. Yahoo! refused cancellation

I concur with some of the other posters here about the decline in quality of Yahoo Small Business. Several years ago I helped a friend set up a website for his small business. Yahoo Small Business seemed like the most popular and simplest option, and after I signed up I spoke for an hour with a terrific, knowledgeable guy there (as I could tell from his voice, a fellow American) who guided me through the details of setting up the site, collecting data on hits, etc. etc. Flash forward a few years. My friend died, and I let the domain name for his business expire. When the $36 bill came from Yahoo Small Business, I called to cancel the account, explaining that the small business owner was deceased and the website defunct. I didn't ask for a refund for past bills or anything like that; I merely wanted them to close the account. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Yahoo Small Business -- by their accents, they were obviously some guys in a miserable South Asian call center -- who kept saying "your information won't go through". I gave them my name, my two email addresses for the past ten years, my home address, the address of the small business, the URL of the website, etc. etc., and always it was "your information didn't go through". (By the way they kept saying it, I suspected they weren't even trying to verify anything). The final straw was when I gave them my American Express number -- the number of the account that they were billing -- and got (wait for it!) "your information didnt' go through"). When I meekly asked them to at least stop billing that account, they said I'd have to "talk to my bank" (not a bank, American Express, but of course they were on a script), and initiated a hang-up-on-the-customer routine. Think about that for a moment: Yahoo Small Business was billing my account, they had me on the phone giving them the account number, and rather than even acknowledging that they were billing me, they hung up. I did what I should've done from the start: disputed the charge with American Express. American Express quickly sent me a nice letter, saying they were refunding me the $36 after Yahoo Small Business refused to reply to their inquiry. So now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Yahoo Small Business will give up and stop scamming me like this. If you've made it this far, you won't be surprised at my advice: AVOID YAHOO SMALL BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS.

Yahoo! advertising (postal parlance... bulk)

Thirty minutes to send a note to the POSTAL MASTER GENERAL to cancel mail delivery; the ads on the border STEAL my key board time and cost me an extra amount of wasted time in the Wi-Fi world. MAYBE ----half a dozen key strokes and wait another fraction of a minute to continue. You guys are nuts. Yahoo! needs a new board or CEO, advertising executive or something. Current business model has been ruined an American Icon and turned it into some alley in New York plastered with useless unsightly advertisers and alien graffiti. In some twenty-- to twenty five years the legend has become a bane to ordinary e-Mail customers. Keep the nauseating sales and ads. Yahoo! has become another US Postal service, staffed life style induced BMI's of greater than fifty and insulin junkies. Feed by bulk mail and resource wasting.

Yahoo! forced ads

Yahoo, in its perpetual effort to increase ad revenue, has made itself a nuisance to great to bear. If I click on an article, I am forced to watch the "Must Watch" ad in the upper right corner. You can't pause it, turn the sound off, etc. Even worse, if you click on an article and want to watch the associated video with the article, the "Must Watch" will still run in the upper right corner and you will have competing audio! Yahoo has ensured that is more trouble than it is worth. I have now run a search (in Google) entitled: Best alternatives to Yahoo homepage. I am now experimenting with each of the results. Goodbye Yahoo! Good riddance.

Yahoo! can't get into my mail

I used yahoo phone verify, to log into my mail for extra security.. My phone service stopped providing this service.. So when I try to log into my mail, using my phone nothing happens. So I tried yahoo help and automated service, they just took me on the run around a full circle, now I can't get into my mail, it's been over a week. I lost important data I cannot retrieve. I have a pre-paid phone service.. I was able to have yahoo text or call me with a code to get into my mail, now my phone does not let this happen.. Need to upgrade, had my phone and this service for yrs. Don't need to upgrade my phone.. I need to change the log in preference from phone verify back to the original log in password, cannot do this cause yahoo has no way to change it but to take you on a run around in their so called help menu. So I lost my mailbox.. It just sits there collecting mail abandoned all because of using the phone verify security measure. Pathetic.. I had yahoo for yrs without a issue.. Til I couldn. T get into my mail one day.. Come to find out it was my slow internet on that day.. When I changed my log in preference. Don't use the phone verify unless you got a phone that supports it. Am in process of finding a new mail provider because of this. Very saddened and disillusioned.

Yahoo! hacked account

I contacted yahoo regarding; my account being hacked for the second time, I changed my security settings, and had a code sent to my telephone every time someone logged in from a different account. However had my phone stolen and reported to the police and the iinsurance company, called yahoo to help me to access my account and was told that I had to pay 150 pounds for my account to be secure, because it has been hacked and they said that was my fault. Try scallating the complaint but was unable to speak to anyone all Yahoo numbers are not working, and the ones that are cannot deal with complaints. It has been dreadful very bad customers service.

Yahoo! phony articles on home page

I have had ymail and used yahoo for my home page for at least ten years and have become disappointed in some of the articles that you post on the web page. Some sound very interesting only to start reading for awhile only to find out it is nothing more than disrespecting another one of the major American political parties. This is happening more and more and I don't feel that Yahoo should allow this type of political bashing to be printed on what is suppose to be a respectable news page. Also some of these phony news sources that also print very interesting headlines and when you go to read it you have to join their 3rd rate service or jump through other hoops. I am really sick and tired of Value Walk as once you start reading then a huge message box wants to know if you would like to join. It does have a X so that you should be able to get rid of that and see what the story is but that is for looks only and will not let you cancel the box out. I wish Yahoo Homepage would clean up its act and only post real articles with no catches. Thank you.

It's sad to see Yahoo becoming one of the biggest media homepage liars around as well as Anti-Christian purporter. No real character from Yahoo anymore. The misleading incredible shrinking soundbites have no weight or value. Not only have they allowed flat out LIES to load up minute by minute but somewhere down in an article at paragraph thirty-two you might actually find a grain of reality amidst the waves of wheat of lies. You have an agenda aimed at everyone who doesn't agree with or think like you. Your political articles are pathetically biased as your are in the pocket of the democrat political party. You allow shocking Anti-Christian articles by journalists such as Michael B. Doughtery. Read his outrageous comments below:

"GIven everyone’s premises, there is only one proper way to punish Kim Davis: Burn her to death. http://t.co/TAdwlDyzsh
— Micháel B Dougherty (@michaelbd) September 8, 2015

Wow, Yahoo, really? Whether you agree with her or not the writer as well as you are both crossing a scary line. To me, you are slipping into the Anti-Semitic verbiage uniforms of the Germans twenty years before World War II. Let the Anti-Christian remarks begin as seen on Yahoo. My God, what will happen in twenty years from now towards those Christians living here in America with HATEFUL rhetoric such as this to continue to be posted. I hear the lions roaring but will you throw them in the den? Somebody needs to be held accountable. Just think, Yahoo, you are a part of the verbal Anti-Christian comments. Proud of yourself? You should be. Remember, somebody in your family whom you love just might be a Christian or become one someday.

Yahoo! religious articles

Several times over the past year I have seen [and read some] negative articles about Mormons, Catholics, and "Christian" groups. Much of what I have seen is misconstrued and taken out of context by people who do not know the backgrounds and DO NOT care about learning the truth. If one wishes to report his/her opinion on the subject, it should state that the article is an OP-ED. It is true that " Do Mormons Believe in Magic?" is from Huffington Post. [6/9/15] But someone in Yahoo chose to include it on the Yahoo site. That someone needs to be aware of the difference between fact/fiction/opinion and mark the article as such.
