Wu Yi Tea Unauthorized charges

I am writing this so other people are aware of what companies can do when you order something online and they have your bankcard details. Wu Yi tea sent me a free order charging postage and handling and then a few weeks later charged me an extra $92.12 (what for) When you receive an email from them you don't get a reply email. I have been trying to contact them but am unable to locate their details. So please be aware of this and warn others. This doesn't mean all companies are like this, but you need to be really careful. I have had to change my bankcard details.

The company won't refund my payment without the tea and I have never received the tea. I should not have to be the one to lose any money. Wu Yi took the money from my credit card account before I received the introductory supply of their green tea.

Wu Yi Tea Fraudulant business practices; non-disclosure; false advertising

BEWARE! WU-YI TEA is a SCAM! PREY ON WOMEN WHO WANT TO LOOSE WEIGHT. Not told the tea is a caffeine product and just oolong tea. Paid for rush shipping got basic shipping & rec'd tea 9 days later but only had a 14 day period to try and to cancel to avoid being charged $29.95/month. The $2.00 rush shipping fee was actually a membership in Living Lean for an additional $19.95/mo which I never ordered. Besure to cancel Living Lean by calling [protected] within 14 day of ordering Wu-Yi Tea! Rep at Living Lean gave me hard time in trying to cancel - but after I threatened to report their business for false advertising, I was given a cancellation confirmation no. Not so with Wu-Yi tea - BEWARE - NO CONFIRMATION NUMBER GIVEN! They say it's your order no.! I called the Wu-Yi Tea cancellation number [protected] within the 14days but got recording to submit cancellation in writing at [protected]@usa.com. But cannot access that site! Called back same day - PRESS OPTION 3 to get rep who could not explain why can't open site.I fought w/him to cancel my order & give me cxln confirmation number but said it was my order number 3420909. Told me to return the tea & call them back with tracking number. I asked for guarantee that my credit card would not be charged since I called within the 14 days and I RECEIVED NO GUARANTEE. Advice: DO NOT ORDER THE WU-YI TEA FREE SAMPLE! If you have, call your credit card company & tell them to block any charges from WuYi Tea, Wu-Yi Tea, WuYi Source, Wu-Yi Source, Living Lean.

Wu Yi Tea Terrible scam!

They keep charging my card even the very day after emailing a cancel notice. Tea does not work. BBB is worthless to report to. Your Credit card company will not be able to recover your monies WuYi Source/ iw living lean charged you. Said I could return for any reason, can't find a return address or talk to a real person or cancel next delivery. So, today they sent me the next delivery, without my permission and took the money from credit card before they sent the tea. you have no way of contacting them to return the tea until they charge your card and then its too late. I am so surprised that they can get away with this for so long and so many reports of the same story goes on and on. I will continue to file complaints to as many as I can find.

On 28/9/08 I agreed to a trial of Wu Yi Tea; by 10/10/08 I had decided to cancel the order.I managed to contact them via phone ( which I haven't been able to do since, only a recorded message ) and was instructed to return remaining tea bags and a refund would be forthcoming.(which it hasn't). I was told at this time that no further monies would be deducted. On 28/9/08, I paid $30.21(tea-trial);$0.76(NAB international transfer fee); 10/10/08 $7.79( web access, which the paperwork says is actually " Insider Secrets To Weight Loss "- I have nothing to show for this);$0.19(NAB transfer fee);26/10/08 $98.74 (tea-60 tea bags; which never arrived, if the company was authentic);$2.47 (NAB transfer fee); 4/11/08 $14.74 (membership; which the paperwork says is actually "Comprehensive Weight Loss E- book Package; again I have nothing to support this);$0.37 (NAB transfer fee );6/11/08 $7.41 (web access);$0.19 (NAB transfer fee).So all in all I have paid $162.68 for about 30 tea bags, which were supposed to be free; no refund ;and charges for further tea bags.; which did not arrive .I have had to cancel my credit card so that further monies are not fraudulently stolen from me. I would definitely recommend not dealing with this company.

I checked my (already pitiful) balance on my debit card this morning. I only made 1 transaction at the gas station for 20.99. By the time I drove an hour into my office my card had been charged 2 charges from an unknown company. 1 charge for $4.95 pending and 1 charge pending for $29.95.

My bank had no merchant information only a phone # [protected]. When I call this number it is an automated voice which advises you that if you have unidentified charges on your account, please allow 2 business days for the charges to post and then you will be notified of who the company is that is charging you until the charges have cleared. That's right!

So, i googled the number and came up with this site - Thank you to all who have left comments, without this I wouldn't have known what to do.

I called Wu Yi Tea - [protected], they could not find an account for me - they used the last 8 digits of my card number then my email, nothing. Of course, I did not accept that and asked for a manager at which point I was transferred to someone in their accounts department, who put me through the same rigamoro and finally she was able to find the charges by putting in my whole credit card #; however, she said she was unable to refund my funds because there was no account in their system! She told me that I would have to either wait for the funds to debit my account or to fax a bank statement to the fraud department.

I called my bank and they advised me not to fax anything to them because if they are fraudulent then I am giving them complete access to my account and they will try to use it to to say that I signed up for their product. My bank advised me that they were probably going to take the debit but once that happened I could file a claim on my card and they would refund my money while they investigate the company.

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR INFORMATION - I HAD TO ARGUE WITH MY BANK ALSO TO GET A MANAGER WHO UNDERSTOOD WHAT I WAS SAYING - HE TOOK THIS WEBSITE AND 800NOTES.COM ALONG TO PROVIDE TO THEIR FRAUD DEPT FOR INVESTIGATION. - YOUR BANK IS YOUR BEST RESOURCE FOR HELP IN THIS SITUATION.

I ordered a SAMPLE of tea last August. I tried to stop Wu Yi sending the full order within 30 days and the thieves sent it anyway, charged me $60. Tried to cancel again by phone and email, they sent ANOTHER order. Finally stopped tha. In October 2008, I followed up with as many of the charges as could be tracked through my bill (most could not)and thought I'd spoken to enough "customer serivce people" to cancel all the underlying thieves who are associated with the tea creeps. Since October, at least 10 charges have appeared anywhere from $5 to $15 for things I DID NOT ORDER.

Now any of the products with 800 numbers are only recordings directing me to this, probably phony, web site.

I have contacted by bank, but they offer little help. Does anyone know of a general interstate commerce authority who might shut these scammers down?

I understood that by ordering the free trial of Wi yu tea that if I did not send it back within 14 days, I would pay for it. Cost of return as much as tea, so I resolved to keep it. When another box came and another payment went out of my account, I discovered that I had unwittingly signed up to a customer club membership @ $59/month, insider secrets package @$4.95/month and comprehensive weight loss ebook package @ $9.95. (What these are, remains a mystery as it is money for nothing) All of this is printed in tiny writing on the edge of the wi yu source tea web page and can be easily missed, but is activated when you sign up for the "free trial" This disceptive means of selling a product, that doesnt even work is all one big con. Do not bother trying to get your money back, they have put in place tactics to avoid this. Just do not try or you will end up buying very expensive green tea! (P.S. this scam runs from more than one web site, under different names, with different contact details.)

Firstly I received an e-mail which offered me a free trial of Wu Yi Tea weight loss supplement..I thought $7.95 postage and handling well being on a disability pension I can actually afford this and I will give it a go.
The package arrived so much for free sample the sample infact cost me $180...
Twice a month since March I have been charged $180 per time with no products to show for it, and on top of that I have been charged a membership fee !
Despite the fact that I have been sending e-mails to this company I have had no satisfaction/bank charges/and no weight loss.
I put the matter in the hands of my bank, to put a stop on the withdrawals and even this has not stopped this company from draining my bank account.
Consequently I have had to close this account and I still have to pay back to the bank what Wu Yi Tea has drained out of my account...
All in all I have received 2 packages only with multiple bank charges to show for it.
For weight loss products there is a large market... but I only wish that they could target the rich and leave us poor people alone.

I ordered one month trial period, I paid for it, and called to cancel further shipments because I'm sensitive to caffeine, I'm under high blood presure treament. I have called and requested no further shipments and no more withdrawals from my account, and they keep doing this, also they put me with another program and that is an additional monthly charge!

Do not get involved with this company! They auto ship and auto charge on a monthly basis. They claim that they have a "Full Money Back Guarantee" but they don't stand by their claim. Their product is horrendous tasting and doesn't work. I've returned every tea bag they sent me and they still charge my credit card. They automatically sign you up for a worthless newsletter (IW/Living Lean) and when you call to cancel they keep no record that you called. I have all transactions from this company in dispute with my credit card company, follow their return policy to every detail, have delivery confirmation that they received my return and they're still charging me. This company is engaging in criminal behavior and I am shocked that they are able to get away with it!

I was under the impression that when I ordered this product, Iwas under no obligation to receive any more product unless I requisted. They are automatically sending 3 mo. supplies and putting more charges on my credit card account that I can not afford. I am a senior citizen on disability for a nervous condition . After talking with customer service I had to take 2 klonipin to calm my nerves.
