I was very excited to learn that Wow Workout World was opening a Workout World La Mirada. I thought everyone could benefit from having a Workout World in La Mirada. I just want to share what a current member had to say.
Exercise was never really my thing and I was afraid I wouldn’t stick with it. I had joined a few gyms in the past and never stuck with any of them for more than a month or two at most. I grew up by the shore and always knew about Wow Workout World and one day I finally decided to join. Even going in, I thought this would likely end the way most of my past gym experiences ended, with me paying for a membership I didn’t use – but it was different at Wow Workout World, right from the start. Physically, the space was amazing, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I was immediately encouraged to meet with a Personal Trainer for my free “Start Smart” sessions. This was great because together we discussed my goals and were able to customize a routine that really could work for me. I still meet with this trainer sometimes just to get my program updated – he’s become a friend and an inspiration to me. My next great discovery at Wow Workout World in week 2, was Group Training. I have NEVER taken any type of Group Classes before and was afraid…afraid of feeling like the new kid in school, afraid of messing up, afraid of falling down. All I can say is that the Group Training Instructors were unbelievable. I tried all sorts of classes and in each one, the instructors always made sure to ask at the beginning of each class if there were any new people, and they always made sure I was feeling comfortable throughout the class with some friendly eye contact or an encouraging word. They are all extremely knowledgeable and all the instructors made it a point to know my name. It’s been over two years now and I never miss a week. In fact, I am usually here a few times a week, especially now that I am engaged. (In pursuit of that perfect wedding body.) There’s something different about Wow Workout World and I knew it when I first walked in. Between my Personal Trainer and my Group Training, I feel like we are all in this together and that camaraderie and connection to people really helps me to succeed.
