WorldVentures Holdings scam

Hi,

I want people to do their research. I had a so called friend invite me to one of these events. She called me, “you have to come to this event at this house its so amazing!” I kept asking her what it was and she would not say anything except “its hard to explain, but you will see how awesome it is once you get here.” Well I brought my boyfriend along and we thought it was going to be a fun party until we saw a video presentation! What the heck! I was kinda mad at my friend for wasting my time. I really had better things to do. I guess its one thing to believe in something but don’t lie to me! There was about 40 young people there ages 18-25. Many had joined WorldVentures and were super happy. They kept clapping and smiling. I felt like I was in a cult..really! That was really fake, I am sorry some of you people crack me up! If something sounds too good to be true it is! They basically wanted our money right away, I thought pyramid scam! Go to work don't scam people! She later invited me to another event, but this time said, ”Hey, Im so sorry about last time, but we want to invite you this BBQ they have a pool there and everyone will be swimming.” I went for the food and def went to go swimming. But 6 other people got us to watch another video! “Hey we have to show you that we travel all the time, we are called the “Rat Pack and this guy is already retiring.” Yea, sure he is after scamming your own friends and family! No thanks! No means no and I don’t like being lied to. I don’t care to be a part of a pyramid scheme. Yes, it is. Perhaps people make money. My so called friend is traveling. Good for her but don’t lie to people. This company just does not sit right with me….

wow...that happen to me too, i was invited over to a friends house, 30 people were there...we watched a few videos...and then the pitch...i found it very interesting concept...i like the idea of selling for my team to benefit...better than my old job, i sold over $3, 000, 000 a year for 3 years straight (almost doubling the person sales before me) and only made $50, 000 a year, same as the person i replaced...i asked for a $50, 000 raise, my worth to the company, and they laughed..i was kinda surprised too, because i liked them all and i felt i proven myself to them...so, i was one of those people that signed up that night, i figured i needed to find four people so i didn't have to pay the monthly fee...then i taught them a simple concept...find 10 people each and they find 10 and so on...i was totally new to this industry myself..i thought it was a pyramid scheme myself...but, there is a product, a very easy product to see, in my mind at least...i wanted to see how the trips were, so i booked one myself..took my wife for a week in mexico...only $389 per person, 7 nights/8days hotel, food, drink, transportation to airport and taxes were all included...insane! great suite, views, golf, pool...i know we drank the value of the trip:) lol we loved it...we both were waiting for the other shoe to drop, it never did! btw, i left my job, their new guy sells about $1, 000, 000 a year, they keep on calling me for advice and how i made all those sales for them...i told them i would love to help, but, you told me i wasn't worth it...btw...i went to all my accounts i used to sell to, and pitched them this biz...plus, selling them on, they could book their employees travel from their website and get travel credits for themselves for free travel...anyway..i have friends like you too...my plan is to take them on one of the vacations...i think that will change their minds...

i dont understand why people say this is hard, just find 10 people..that is it...one time membership, not yearly! like costco and sam's club...insane, i actually email the company and asked for them to make it yearly membership, they laughed and said, "you are the first person to email us that request" ...i just figured, WE could ALL make more money doing the job just once...I understand, they maybe looking into my request..

Sorry for my long winded reply...i do respect your opinion though...since, i joined 5dayfortune and 7 dollar matrix...$10 a month and $7 a month program..direct sales...incredible! making a small fortune by working together with others...what a concept...btw, my wife couldnt get any time off around the holidays from her job, so she quit...Think Different! Have a great holiday season, bsafe! Cheers!

WorldVentures Holdings ponzi scheme

WorldVentures regularly edifies its top income earners, pac team members and so-called leaders as having achieved certain ranks in an effort to promote their business opportunity product.

These "recognized" ranks give the consumer the impression that the individuals being promoted as a certain level of rank are achieving financial success based on the marketing of the companies products, which is really just a way to build value for the fees they charge that is then shared with the up-line since it is a network marketing company.

Although this is a very successful and common practice in the direct selling business world, the false representation by WorldVentures of their top earners hurts the end user consumer by selling them a dream that they too could achieve similar financial freedom.

However, it is now public record that the so-called leaders in many cases have not actually achieved said ranks and have further been given special treatment by the owners of the company by placing them in high ranking positions in the binary compensation plan. The company additionally allows these leaders to do what's called "bonus buying" whereby they pay for multiple other business centers below them to keep them artificially elevated at a rank they did not in most cases achieve legally in the first place. In some cases this bonus buying has been in the hundreds of positions paid for by a rep to keep a high rank since that higher rank pays them an even greater reward (commission check) than they would have realized at the lower rank.

The worst part of all is that these infractions which are all against there won company policies and procedures are done by the company owners themselves Mike Azcue, the CEO and Wayne Nugent, the CVO. These two not only own the top position of the the company (the top of the "pyramid" since it's a binary compensation plan) but they own the immediate right and left spots respectively as well as many other strategically placed positions throughout the entire company organization.

Not only are they the main benefactors of he entire downline, but they manipulate the compensation plan with their own friends like in the case of Matt Morris. Morris was given one of the highest positions at the top of the company, to the benefit of the owners as well as "grandfathered" as they highest rank in the company (IMD).

These false representations to people like myself who not only paid to be in the opportunity but spent thousands going to their events in hopes of learning the secrets of how these top income earners make the money is a horrible injustice to the vast majority who also believe their lies.

I learned the truth after I finally figured out it's all a big scam for the top people by continuing to research the company in hopes of finding the truth to help expose it to other consumers and people looking for a real business opportunity. The truth was finally made public when the company decided to sue one of its former executives when he started another travel company.

This other executive who was the President of the company is Robert Oblon who is also credited with being one of the co-founders. Oblon seems to have parted ways around mid 2009 about the same an announcement was made about the CEO of time, Mike Conway, was no longer going to run the day to day operations. This timing seems fishy.

You can review all of the public documents through the Dallas court website by simply typing in the case number: dc1109451
The public website for the court is: http://courtecom.dallascounty.org/pav/
Specifically note the document filed 3/23/2012 called:
Motion - Summary Judgement CV'
Scroll down to the many affidavits, including the one by someone named Ray McDonald. This is very telling and my guess is that this lawsuit is going to continue to expose what's really going on behind the scenes.

After reading through many of the court documents, I found most of what I wrote above including many other elements that helps put the whole picture together. I spent a couple of years trying very hard to follow the company's training and leaders who taught how to "build a downline" only to find it almost impossible to make any money, let alone work full time from home.

It's tragic that this is allowed to happen to innocent people who have no way of knowing what's really going on behind the scenes. Someone should really take a stand like an attorney general or some consumer protection agency to protect us all from companies like this who take people's money for only a few benefactors at the top. I'm pretty sure that's the definition of a ponzi scheme.

WorldVentures representatives like to brag that the founders of WorldVentures, - Wayne Nugent & Mike Azcue- were finalists in the Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" awards in 2010, and use this claim to convince prospects that WorldVentures is a legitimate company, otherwise, Ernst & Young would not have recognized them. Well...When Ernst & Young investigative services department and Entrepreneur of the Year departments were contacted to confirm this claim, Ernst & Young staff say they DO NOT recognize WorldVentures Wayne Nugent & Mike Azcue as finalists in "Entrepreneurs of he Year" awards in 2010...and will not elaborate. They suggested to call Wayne Nugent and Mike Azcue and ask THEM why Ernst & Young will NOT recognize them as finalists in the Entrepreneur of the Year awards. Wonder what happened?
When posts asking about this were made on the WorldVentures Facebook page, they were quickly deleted. When WorldVentures offices were called, the phone operators were totally unaware of this. If anyone wants to know if this is true...go ahead and contact Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" awards department and ask them for yourself! And if you can call up WorldVentures and talk with Wayne Nugent or Mike Azcue about this...let us know what they have to say!

A case of a smart person trying to be too smart about a business model that has been proven in the industry. Is he better than Warren Buffetm, Donald Trump or Robert Kiyosaki? You cannot lead a horse to the water if it ain't thirsty!

WorldVentures Holdings poor client service, monies owed. poor sales tactics. inconsistancies in training. just to name a few!

I am not going to say that World Ventures is a Scam! I can only state my experience as a WV Rep and make my complaint. A friend of mine approached me with the idea of being able to travel at 4&5 star places for 2&3 star prices. Well, I travel, so why not.
Then it was all about becoming a Rep and recruiting other people to do what I do, "Share". It was made clear that this was not a GET RICH QUICK business and that you had to work hard to make your business successful. Ok, I'm accustomed to working hard. Prior to a major illness, I owned my own successful business and worked twice the hours of a regular employee and sometimes more, so this was not intimidating to me. I signed up! I took this seriously, even purchasing a new MacBook Pro for presentations. I presented the business to all my family and friends, even driving to another state to make presentations. I signed up most of my family, they TRUSTED me. And even a few of my friends. I worked this business just as the training in the back office told me in order to be successful. This stuff is a hard sell to people that work all year for only 1-2 weeks vacation a year, they take their vacations through out the year for different holidays and so on. Travel in this hard pressed area is a luxury that most can't or won't afford. I did the mortal sin of signing up my daughter and putting her $365.00 on my credit card. To anyone thinking of paying someone's way just to get someone signed up, don't do it! It's nothing out of their pocket and most people don't appreciate what they don't pay for and you will be stuck paying for nothing. One of my downline was double charged her monthly fee her first month and WV refused to refund her money. She was the smart one in the bunch, she got out right away. My upline told me that I could sell her spot to someone else for $50.00 plus the monthly fee of $65.00. I found someone that jumped at the offer. She paid in cash, big mistake, I took the cash and used my debit card to sign her up. Then I was charged an additional $253.00 for this person, I find out that my upline was wrong He admitted that it was a mistake, and That's ok, people make mistakes but the uplines offered to split my out of pocked eith me because it was their mistake. Never got a dime. Another Rep confided in me that when his upline entered his information in to the system, he did not UN check the box that automatically enrolls you in to the PSP program and he was charged for something he didn't want. But I decided to upgrade to the PSP program, I set up my own website using the information given me by WV. Any person clicking on my website was sent to a WV landing page. I was having 20-30 plus hits per day. Guess what? Only one person opted in to the "other side" and he gave bogus information. All the while I'm still out there putting a smile on my face being real excited to get the opportunity to share this business to anyone that would take the time to listen. Ok, so now I have used the PSP product and it was a complete waste of money the monthly fee, building a website. I even used a WV banner and place a pay per click ad on Face Book for 7 days. Not one click. Now back to the two Reps that I used my credit and debit card for. I couldn't get these two reps to go into their back office and change the billing information from me to them. I contacted client services and asked them how to get them off my credit and debit card. They ignored me! After being charged for my daughter 3 months and the other 1 month, I had to cancel my credit and debit card. Let me make one thing perfectly clear, I put those two Reps on my cards, that was my doing and it WAS a stupid thing to do that's my fault. But WV would not help me get my cards off their account. I sent them a really cranky e-mail telling them what I thought about their service. Only then did I get a phone call telling me the issue had been resolved. Well, it was too late! I had already went through the hassle of changing my cards. I have ordered supplies and it takes at least a month or more to get anything you order, sometimes you don't even get what you ordered, but they have your money. They recalled the push and play CD because one of the spokes people made an inaccurate statement. What did they do? After the recall, they sent me the old CD's at the regular price. My husband and I went to one of their seminars, we got so pumped up, we signed up for the Momentum seminar in Las Vegas. After the seminar, I talked to a few of the Reps and found out that they had or are dealing with some of the same issues I was having. Darn it, I just charged $440.00 on my new credit card! As soon as I returned home, I requested a credit for the $440.00. The computer said "your request has been submitted and you will be notified by e-mail if your request has been accepted or denied!" It's been over a month and after two request, I still don't have a response from them. I noted that when at the seminar the spokes person was clicking through the slides and when it came to the PSP product, he quickly clicked it off and said "I won't talk about that product" then he asked, "how many of you have used the internet to develop leads?" Almost everyone raised their hands. He said "didn't work did it." He also told us to forget the 4 step invite because it don't work either. While on FaceBook one day, I noticed an ad about never cold calling or chasing leads again. I clicked on it, read it, and guess what? Yep, WV…telling how to generate an enormous amount of leads a day using their internet system. Another monthly fee! Then another ad, Learn what the top producers don't want you to know. Another WV ad. I'm thinking, Why the heck are we paying for these seminars if they are not telling their secret to success. They want us to pay for it! None of their people are on the same page. My dad use to say, "Always tell the truth then you don't have to remember what you said." I once asked my upline "how do you deal with people that want to buy into this but really don't have the money" I was told to tell them, surly you have something here that you can pawn! Seriously? I've spent hundreds of dollars and will never recoup what I've spent and I'm going to sell them on something they can't afford. I met some people that I wanted to make a donation to their house hold not sell them a pie in the sky dream that will never happen for them. They work hard longs hours for what they have, and they will never be able to give this business the time or money that it takes to succeed.…I have my own personal thoughts on a lot more to do with this company but I want say if you are reading this, do your research before you jump into something that a trusted friend or family member presents to you. I feel obligated to repay my people back their out of pocket because I didn't do my homework before I jumped in and sold it to them. I Know that there will be these people that will try and rebut this complaint, and your opinion is welcome. This is just my experience. I'm not an eloquent writer, so I hope you understand my complaint.

I want to travel with world venture and planned a 50 Year Class Re-union...The customer service from the Travel agents very bad. My group could not make any phone contact to make reservations for my trip to Jamaica, most of the time lost at least 30 people and it really has spoiled my reunion and credibility with my peers But I have confidence they will compensate my small group who stuck with me thru this ordeal by adding some perks for the group. I plan to continue using my membership for travel.

This business is something you have a passion for. I am in the business. My tactics is looking for people who LOVES TO TRAVEL. I love to travel. I am looking for people who understand FIRST COME FIRST SERVE ON DEALS. I tell them up front why, I need to to talk to them. Buy WV products WHY. That is a waste of my money. I am not traveling to seminars to receive training. If, I pay for a WV Seminar you better believe it, I will enjoy the place as if, I am on vacation. Prime example, I missed the $69.00 dollar cruises because, I was to lazy to sit at the computer and click. But quick to sit at the computer and wait for the Black Friday sales to began. In July 2015, I will be out of $1, 978.16 for (Flights and Cruise). Not through WV. This a group price through a Travel Agent.

@trippinagain MLM and pyramid schemes are interchangeable in the "real" world. Only the MLM hustlers haul out the "pyramid schemes are illegal so therefore it cant be a pyramid scheme" argument.

WV actually is pretty darn close to the legal definition of a pyramid scheme as they use the fake travel club BS as their tangible product to stay a step ahead of the law.

Just another in a long list of sill pyramid schemes.MLM

AVOID.

I've been in world ventures for a couple of months and I am constantly educating myself regarding this business and the best way to be successful in it. It sounds like you did several things that are against the rules of any MLM company and your sponsors, not WV are responsible for your failure with this company. Anyone who knows MLM will tell you to give it all you have for 5 years if you want to be successful. Unfortunately, many people come in on emotions because they listen to the few overnight success stories. ANYTHING worth having is worth working for. WV is MLM not a PYRAMID! MLM allows you the opportunity to move to the top and earn income at the pace you decide based on your efforts. Pyramids are illegal!

and pyramids are 3 dimensional too. triangles work! I always say so its a triangle thing, and you say its illegal?... like your job right? that's a triangle system, guy at the top makes all the money while those below do the physical work building his dream. at least in this, like you said, your pace your business. I know plenty of people who have passed up their upline in this. work in = work out. driven people get great results. you must be coachable trainable and never quit!

seems like the company only selling a dream product and hard to be true. The key word you have to be "ACTIVE" in selling the business! Sound like you work hard and loose money to make the owner and top reps become rich

I do not know what words or images you have used for your FB ads but unless you're selling a dress or a laptop, FB ads don't usually work (that's my own and other friends' experiences), although they may get you more eye-balls to your WV website.

It's like this. If you paid $600 to advertise a $7 product (for example). You get 5, 000 visitors of which only 1% bought your product. That's 50 sales x 7. $350. What's your loss? $600 - $350. That's your loss. But if you had exit pop-unders to keep them subscribed to your updates, you can expect a higher ROI because you know those who sign up to be susbscribed are more likely to want your product. Potentially, you would have covered your ad fee and perhaps make a little profit.

Using the above example, how would you be able to apply this knowledge? Did you attend all WV events or training?

The WV website is not "transparent" in a sense, because many people think they have to pay membership fees. How do you lead them to the free registration page? Have you thought of that?

You have to rely on your intelligence and some trial and error to get it right, if you did not attend all WV training events. And sometimes it's a matter of who your upline is.

The problem that I have with what you are saying is the fact that we reps are trained to get people to make uninformed decisions. From day one we are taught by our upline to get the person to sign up right then and there. It is a sound business strategy because if the person goes home and thinks about it they usually don't sign up. Every single training seminar (paid, by the way) I have been to has preached that we are to close the deal in our first presentation to the potential customer. The fact of the matter is people don't have time to do their own research because we are pressuring them into joining right then and there. In the event that someone actually does their own research, we tell them that their findings are false. How dare you bring us false info! Oh, and one more thing. The WV director of marketing, Marc Accetta, used to work for a company called Equinox. Ever heard of them? If not, here is some info. The FTC shut down the company and jailed many of their employees for unlawful business practices. Ironically, Accetta got out of Equinox shortly before it was brought under investigation. Why would anyone in their right mind hire a man who actively participated in a company that was shut down for unlawful practices and then make them director of marketing? As of right now, I am still a member. But I am watching closely.

So far my experiences have been nothing like what you have described. Although I have only been a member for a short time, I know that many of the things that happened to you were due to bad advice given by reps who weren't sure of the correct practices to keep. Anyone who gives the advice that you can be a huge success in this company if you follow some sort of Internet marketing strategy is largely mistaken. The top income earners in this company never recommend anyone to do that. Also, paying for some one's membership is never encouraged. In response to hearing and upline rep. suggesting that people should pawn their belongings, I would say that I have heard stories of people actually doing that to get the money in order to join. I wouldn't personally recommend that someone do that, but another individual may feel comfortable making that suggestion. Both the good and bad thing about this business is that everyone is in business for themselves and they don't have a supervisor looking over their shoulder and hearing everything they tell others. With this business model, someone with malicious intent can spread things and make false promises that the company doesn't condone. Once there are people out there doing those things it can become very hard to control and censor. Even if someone doesn't have ill intent, they can still give recommendations and suggestions that aren't in the best interest of others if they are misinformed themselves. In the end it's up to each and every person to research the business and talk to as many people in the business on as many different levels as they can before making an informed decision for themselves as to if World Ventures is a good opportunity for themselves. That's the process I went through, and I have been very impressed with all of the people I have come in to contact with within this organization.

WorldVentures Holdings pyramid scheme with a twist

While not illegal, world ventures does work off the old "puramid scheme" setup. You pay cash to recruit people, and make it back from the cash of your recruits. Logically, someone has to lose money for you to get paid.

However, as they do offer actual vacations and travel services, this is not a crime. One could argue that your money also paid for your access to their exclusive vaccation deals, (Which are consistently higher than travelocity, expedia, or even face-value hotel expenses.) the packages are a rip off, as is the recruitment, but its legal. And realistically, if you can sucker in enough of your fellow saps, you actually can profit. So long as the there is a lower rung on the ladder to pay for your mistake.

They don't lie to you. The just hide the truth in pretty words and motivational hotel "pep rallies." most of the atendees are still buying into it themselves, so they come across as very sincere and enthused. But if you notice, none of them are really making money. Hmms.

Dont be fooled, most of these people are faking smiles to make their money back, even hoping your money will recoup their losses. My advice - dont get up in arms, this thing is huge and there's nothing you can do. Just look out for yourself and your loved ones and keep your wallet closed.

Its pretty clever. The monthly fee serves a dual purpose. IT DOESNT REALLY GET YOU EXCLUSIVE VACCATION DEALS! (these fees can actually be cheapened drastically by booking it yourself, there's really no deal in it).

The dual purpose fee is this:
1. It guarantees World Ventures will make at LEAST that profit off you every month, with in itself keeps the company afloat.
2.The only way out for you is to work your ### off to recruit others. So for every one person who gets OUT OF DEBT to World Ventures, another 4 are in the whole.

These things are disgustingly brilliant. And they're so common now its scary.

Name me one thing in the world that isn't a pyramid, just one thing? You can't... Everything in the business world is setup on a pyramid. The only difference between a pyramid scheme and legal pyramid is that WV has a service and a product that is delivered to it's customers, just like your Insurance Companies, Walmart, Sears, Hospital's Corporate America. Every single one of these as a CEO who gets paid by the little man/woman. So shove it [censored].

I have met some amazing people and have been on amazing vacations. I have met people through this club in the US and internationally. We all stay in touch. I have seen smiles instead of frowns through the people I met from the club. I have a few friends who was always miserable but now travel and have postive attitudes.
Things I do love: My host at each trip was awesome. I have been feature in professional trip pictures. Im happy with not having to stand in long line waiting to check in. I have done so many adventures that was included with my trip that I thought I would not ever do. I love the vacation in 4 to 5 star at low price cause i know how much i use to pay for it. I was just looking at a trip to Vegas staying at The Palazzo. I believe 3 or 4 days and The Ventian package included, welcome reception, host and more. I pay only $324.00 for two people. I tried to price myself but it was too high. I could not add a host, a receptopn for me my husband, a welcome gift, airport transfer. But I got all of this through Dreamtrips and no worrying bout what im going to do or what I have to pay for when I get there. My child got sick I called the teledoctor. No fee and No Er visit. The doctor called the meds to the pharmacy. My truck got stuck in the ditch, WV roadside assistance pulled my car out for free. I have a 24 hr concierge service. They are awesome. If you dont like anything else about the company, take a Dreamtrip. This company topped my timeshare, my travel agent, and any trip I have booked myself. The trips I went on before Dreamtrips did not create a lifetime friendship I gained through this club.

I am officially a world ventures ex representative and a lot of what I am reading is correct. It's been a few years so the compensation and pay out is different. With every platinum membership you sign on you get $50 commission so if you sign up the 6 people you need to get the (lifestyle bonus they stopped saying it was a car bonus) you'll make all the money you invested back. And if you have 39/30 (60) in total you reach residual. So now in 2015 they are paying you to recruit a member and you recieve a pay out when the person signs up. Also, they give you 100 extra points for when you sign someone that you could use as $ to travel. Their pricing is not competitive and the price promise is payable in travel money not it real money so you're really not going on any vacation free. Their events / training on the product is all about how to read and deal with people so you could sell the "product" better which is a travel club membership not the dreamtrips. You don't recieve comission off of swine buying a trip you recieve comission off of new members! When researching pyramid schemes because world ventures just loved to tell people pyramid schemes have no product of service they left out that the company must make less than 50% of its general income from its product not its recruiting. I was an active rep for over a year at first I thought it was me, I thought like my up line would say I was applying myself correctly. Or that my color made it harder for me to just follow the system since I'm all about my information. I went to one of their national pep rallies where my up line said I would feel inspired. Well their trainers, ownership, and followers tell people all the time it isn't world ventures that it is the scam it's the people who fail at world ventures who are the scam. did any of these die hard world ventures reps know that Wayne Nugent and Mike Azcue were charged for tax fraud. They blue collar criminals that hide behind hugs and promises of a better life. I've met a lot of people with success in this and a lot with none just hopes. A lot of the people I know have had to car pool to every national event because they have no success. People have sold their belongings just to make it to an event. It's a little ridiculous how some of the people are I could go on for days. Anyone reading this, as an ex rep, they are looking for venerable that are looking for an easy way out. They're looking for people they could influence. They're looking for people THT won't question they're system. They're looking for people who believe in their minds that they have no way to travel but world ventures way. They take advantage of the young adults that know very little about pyramids and scams.

World ventures I am not the see, you are.

Getting paid? WV hasn't been paying their reps since Sept. of 2017.
And 2 years is right. WV preys on the lower socioeconomic classes. Look the pictures of the majority of their reps. They are young, lots of POCs. People who can't even afford a vacation prior to signing up and paying the monthly they can't afford. And now, as of April 2018, WV did away with the Get 4 Pay No More program, so there is no getting out of making monthly payments if you join now.

I can't believe there are still others out there that think MLM is a scam or think someone at the top gets all the money. What you think your Manager or CEO or Employer gets less money? Where have you been under a rock or another planet? World Ventures is so much of a scam its the fastest growing company privately owned in the states 490% in the last three years. That means if it was a scam would you share it with family and friends? Would it have massive growth? If it was a scam the company would of folded years ago. But I guess we still have ignorant fools or trolls employed by opposing companies praying on the vulnerable.
I saved $1600 on flights alone for 3 family members, already doubled the money invested. I'll be telling the world

World Ventures has been banned from activity in Norway (Norway deemed the company a Pyramid Scheme - officially December 14, 2014 with WV having 2 weeks to get out of the country), WV have been fined by Cyprus in the amount of $98, 000 (CYP 50, 000) for their activity in that island nation (which at last check had not been paid), Sweden's is investigating them under their gambling laws.) When will the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) get on their trail? This company is a world vulture (WV) in my opinion. The lawsuits by former top employees were settled out of court for millions, and when WV says that they settle BBB complaints internally and through a phone call to the complainer, some of us know exactly what that means. I wonder who their enforcer is on those phone calls and how much pressure they exert on the brainwashed minions?

1. Montana State Auditor's Office warns residents about WorldVentures.
"Pyramid schemes are illegal. Participants in a pyramid scheme that attempt to recruit new members are violating the law and may face administrative, civil or criminal actions against them. If you or someone you know has been approached to get involved in World Ventures or similar programs, please contact the Montana Securities Division."
The Montana Securities Department has received inquiries and information indicating an investment program entitled World Ventures may be operating in Butte and surrounding communities. The program appears to be a fraudulent pyramid scheme.
World Ventures appears to be operating as a classic "pyramid" scheme, asking investors to put their own money in to get started. †It appears that $400.00 is the initial amount required for entry into the scheme. To recover their original funds the investors are required to recruit new participants into the program. Once a participant brings enough new recruits into the program, they climb up the pyramid to a point where they begin sharing in the pool of money obtained from new recruits.
2. worldventures.biz/truthwv/#blank
According to WorldVentures' "The Truth about WorldVentures" Marc Accetta, the Director of Training was ONLY an independent representative of Equinox and left the company before the FTC shut them down.
In fact, let me post word-for-word exactly what WorldVentures stated:
WorldVentures' Director of Training Marc Accetta was an independent representative with Equinox (again, not part of the ownership or management). His story is similar to that of Mr. Nugent and Mr. Azcue. Marc voluntarily resigned from Equinox approximately a year and a half before its closure by the FTC.
I guess Mr. Accetta must have forgotten he was named alongside Equinox International in a class action lawsuit in Lubbock, TX that was transferred to Nevada because the FTC was shutting them down !
He also must have forgotten he was involved with Trek Alliance, another illegal pyramid scheme shut down by the FTC.

I find it sad that sites like this one, Youtube channels and independent bloggers that own their own sites, use them to create "online controversy" and "Negative Information" in the form of Headlines and Titles that are derogatory towards, and attack network marketing companies as easy targets for their own profits. All it does is create more visits, traffic, SEO and content for the owner of the site to SELL ADVERTISING... and that puts money into the site owners pocket! Listen Up People, please understand how internet marketing and online advertising works before being fooled by and contributing to forum's and comment threads that try to discredit NM / MLM companies and their representatives hard work... because that's all your doing here! Now WHO is really doing the scamming here!? Network Marketing has always been... and... will always be... a Solid, Legal and Legitimate business model. I personally know many, many very wealthy and successful people from MLM and many who are soon to be from their shear HARD WORK! When you hear someone say, "Its' Not for Everyone" or "It's Not My Cup of Tea", that simply means they have yet to embrace a business model that we will all be seeing more and more of in the coming decades, especially in the NEW ECONOMY we now live in since the 2008 Recession. Our New Economy has pushed very hard into more of a "performance based pay scale" versus one where an "employee" shows up to clock in and clock out to get "paid for their time". Businesses and employers simply no longer want to pay you to just sit around on their company dime and underperform or not at all. The costs involved for a company on training, benefits and liabilities on an average employee for a "Traditional Job" is hugely under scrutiny today in corporate America and business due to a search to reduce operating cost even further. Sorry boy's and girls but, the days of slacking off at work or being paid to just "show up" are drawing to an end very soon. Why do your think Freelancing, Blogging and Business Start Ups are so popular today? If you read much on the job market these days, you've probably heard of things like "Zero Hour Contracts" and "Short Term Contracts". These types of models keep a person who's on the job honest and productive and ultimately results in better performance and profits for the company and reduces or eliminates wasted labor dollars. For the Naysayers and Disbelievers of Network Marketing (MLM), please listen up... jumping online to bash and trash talk this business model is plain and simply... stupid... and shows how un informed you truly are and that you'll believe any ole thing that someone else repeats or says. You have most likely heard clichés and other people say things that are half the time mis Information or simply falsehoods about the business model. They are usually produced out of fear of someone being afraid to take a chance on themselves and really work hard to WIN in life and have financial control of their own lives. When they fail, then they go running scared back to their "comfort zone" after they tried it and didn't stick to it long enough to make a real business work, which in turn spawns dis belief due to their own lack of effort... not because the business was a bad model or a so called "Scam" But guess what? the comfort zone of the past is getting very, very small these days and one day may be to small for everyone, if it's there at all! NM is a Real Business model that works very well and has been going on for many, many years...Mary Kay has built an empire with 1000's of successful entrepreneurs in this business model! How about Avon? Yep, Avon too! Do you bash those companies too? Call them a Scam? Well, why not? They ARE Network Marketing companies (aka. MLM) Why is it that someone considers it bad thing to approach your friends and family to discuss a product or service that may be something of interest to them? If you would keep an open mind for a few minutes longer and be fair to that person's hard work ethic and their effort to be different, you may find that it's not this horrible thing that all the Sheep on the internet are saying it is! Hey, why not have a look at one of the newest MLM successes here in the USA, www.jhilburn.com What?!? you mean if you recruit one of your friends or family members to be a client or a partner with you in this business it must be considered a SCAM!? OH No! Get Over It people... MLM and Network Marketing has grown to such popularity and favor by some of the most successful business gurus (Warren Buffet, Donald Trump & Robert Kiyosaki ) in the world today that you will most likely one day find yourself embracing this incredible way to earn a great living! So, Stop Listening To, or Being One Of... the negative individuals who attempts to Trash NM or MLM on the internet (they are the ones who look foolish)...you may soon find yourself LOVING IT as Millions of people around the world already do! There are so many of these companies in existence today that are highly successful with many successful people in them who love their lives and NON TRADTIONAL method of earning an living. While you waste your time bashing them on the internet after you get off work from your underpaying, daily grind at your 9-5 slave job where your boss and company Control You, they are out living out their dream from working hard for something that belongs to them at the end of the day... Their Own Legitimate Business! You may want to consider Embracing It... sooner than later... your only wasting your own time and success! Just remember... You miss 100% of the shots you Never Take! Best Of Luck to All!

Take a close look first. I signed up. There is a lot of negativity in some responses without aparent validity. MLMs (Direct Marketing) is a valid business marketing method and in reality has been for a long method. Don't fall for the "box store" mentality that everything needs to be on a shelf or their website. In the 1990s, several pozzi scheme damaged this industry and many others because they we're under funded (people are still investing in Wall Street). Also if everyone joined a travel club it would not be under funded. LOL
In a society that is offshoring most of its manufacturing and on-shoring foreign labor, different techniques need to be adopted to maintain the American lifestyle. Wholesale vacations and direct marketing really have been around for a long time. The change is that your not going into a "brick and mortar" travel agency, but booking through the internet.
Representative education is the key. Even in the 50s and 60s we could buy vacuums from a "door to door" sales person who'd learned from Dale Carnegie, but then came more Sears stores and things changed.

WorldVentures Holdings scam

The just hide the truth in pretty words and motivational hotel "pep rallies". Dont be fooled, most of these people are faking smiles to make their money back, even when things aren't going well. My advice - dont get up in arms, there's nothing you can do. Just look out for yourself and your loved ones.

There's a reason the only people defending it are admitted WV reps. The have a financial motive to dupe the public.

Update by La Verite

The reason I call it a SCAM is not because people can't make money, it's because of WHERE THE MONEY COMES FROM (The pockets of new recruits). Sure, a slimy person can make a fortune. I never said they couldn't. if you're motivated to be the best con man you can be, and are ok taking money from your friends and family like WV encourages you to, you can be a "winner" too.

But quit comparing it to companies that sell real products. When the "product" you sell is a sales job, congrats- you are a pyramid scheme.

Former Ex UK Rep of WV:

check on youtube worldventures trainings and you will find their ways to recruit people with NLP techniques into the system. Many people don't cancel their accounts right away. In my EX-Team of almost 300 people only 4 people of my team actually made some money and 296 paid their monthly fees for many weeks, months, even years...thats how worldventures makes the money. They say get back your fees in points after one year but then you only got 12 months to use them until they expire. If you can reduce between 50 and 150 point per trip as a gold member and up to 600 points for a platinum member how many trips you have to take within 12 months to use all points? And I compared the trips they are more expensive than booking the whole trip individually online at different platforms. Just compare yourself if you are a member and then proof it that you pay less. Dreambrake Paris Disneyland at Holliday Inn Marne la Valle including 3 day 2 park tickets is $250 more expensive at dreamtrips than booking directly at the Holliday Inn itself. Get a life you brainwashed reps of pyramid trips

I was a Rep for 4 Years and the only way to make money is from recruiting new members. We get trained to convince the prospects to also get involved into the business for $100 inicial fee and $25 (new price 2019) in 4 years I didn't sign in only members instead only members doing the business too like they tell us to do. I am sure that Worldventures has more Reps than only members, they never say the exact amount of members, some say 650.000 reps and in presentations they brag with having almost 2 million members. They just never tell the truth! So you get passive income from this poor people in your downline paying their monthly fees whom trusted you and your reps that this Is a legit business opportunity. Comparing the Dreamtrips to normal booking platforms Dreamtrips are mostly $200-$300 more expensive than booking the same trip over other platforms. This actually woke me up as flights are always more expensive on Dreamtrips and as a European Reps you pay lots of credit card commissions for paying in Dollars with a European credit card. Worldventures Stoped paying their Reps in August 2017 without any explanation and the leaders spread a weird story that some asians hacked the system and did a fraude that caused the company millions of $. This is a cold lie because according to the news China sued Worldventures for high amounts of money for operating illegally in their country. Of course Worldventures blamed the reps that is their fault. I know that Worldventures sends their leaders into closed countries to train their illegal reps. So the company is aware that there are huge teams in countries where worldventures is not allowed to operate like, Brasil, Italy, Portugal, Spain and many more.
Goal is to bring as many new reps as possible to the events where they brainwash them into believing them everything by creating a very positive culture made of highly positive people singing and dancing and telling on stage that anyone can achieve financial freedom. Each training event costs between $1000 to $1500 counting in trip, accommodation and food for the weekend. The company has 4 big events per year on every continent like several Regional trainings and super Saturdays in cities of many countries. At the end you spend more than you actually make but this you will not remember when you are celebrating at the events. Fact is that they promise you that it is soooo easy cause its about holidays and you don't need to create a need for this product, wich is wrong if people can buy their vacations cheaper anywhere else why should they pay a monthly fee?! You just have to show more people they say until you find some naive idiots like myself who does the business. some will some won't so what? So much fraude going on inside the Teams fake leaders who buy accounts from their up line wich is strictly forbidden but as the blue family holds together who cares right? well I care and I will report this company in each close country they work in without license until they shut down this pyramid scheme [censored] covered as VIP Travel Club. The only thing they got to prove them legal is the World Trave Awards and if you look closer to those awards is easy to win them you just need enough votes from your own reps and BINGO the winner is Pyramide trips. Helme to report this company to save lots of people from loosing their money. In total I spend like over $15.000 in 4 years in trainings and trips and they still owe me money from commissions they never paid me. In total I made like $8000 and some still not paid out.

Someone recently presented this bogus company to me and had me watch a presentation with the flye card as incentive and the travel perks. I thought the travel perks to be a complete joke and almost started laughing. It was probably the worst presentation I've ever seen so I'm really surprised it actually gets people to buy into this BS. She wanted $375 and it was $19.99 a month lol. I asked her if she signed many people up and she's gotten 35 so far. I asked her if she's ever traveled for free and she's only gotten discounted travels. Does that sound worth it to you? You waste your time working a part time job for a percent off.. it's a marketing scam.. only benefits the company... the vacation discounts were garbage.. you get better deals even w a Groupon! I think once they get you you don't want to admit to yourself it wasn't worth it so you keep paying for it. Honestly I'm pretty disappointed. I thought she had an awesome job traveling the world.. what a crock

Am a proud member of WV. Their holidays are cheaper and VVIP style. That's what they promised and that's what they delivered. I have refered people who refered others...and for building a team I have been paid. Again they promised and delivered. VISA partners with them. Who is more careful about shady business than VISA? World class airlines and hotels and cruises do business with WV. Are you any smarter? Come on now! Just because you don't understand something makes it a scam?

I agree people have been sold the dream of making millions which is just unrealistic, but is it really a ‘scam’? I don’t think everyone would agree with that. http://shusharya.com/ Maybe someone would like to read more about that to ensure him/her self. It's rather interesting experience than a scam.

I find it interesting people come to an echo chamber, not to learn something new but to reinforce a stereotype that they have in their mind. I have read with interest some of the comments on here. So many are just laughable. An example is how ridiculously higher Worldventures vacations are than Travelocity etc. If that were true I would join Worldventures pick a vacation then find it cheaper so I can get my refund and sent on the vacation for free. I would literally do that all day long, it truly is that much of a no brainier. Secondly all I hear is pyramid that pyramid this. So the flip what everything is a pyramid structure, it doesn't mean squat but that's the buzz word and as soon as people hear it the reaction is "run". Walmart it a pyramid where you work is a pyramid, and you certainly aren't getting rich I'm sure, but I bet your boss is enjoying all the perks. If you don't want to market it then don't. The money isn't made from the recruiting it's made from the membership, just like you would sell any other product. I know half of the people won't listen anyway, but do yourself a favor. Do real research and not some blog written by some person with an agenda.

I just joined WV in January, and found out about DreamTrips from a co-worker as he was going on vacation all the time and was probably the lowest paid employee at our company (which he has now quit because he busts his ### at WV and doesn't have to "work" anymore. Let me start by saying I am a social worker and I love my career. I have ethics and values and I would NEVER con or scam someone, especially a friend. The purpose behind not giving a ton of information about WV immediately is because when you "word vomit" all over everyone, they pre-judge and block out half of what you're saying anyways. I'm a pretty skeptical person by nature and I am not lying when I say I drove to Chicago (8 hour drive) and once there, I stayed three nights in an amazing hotel downtown, took a lunch cruise, and enjoyed a hop on-hop off bus ticket. I split the total in half with my friend, costing us each 164 dollars. I have the receipts to prove it and I have down side-by-side comparisons of the same hotel, which would have cost $1100 alone, not including the excursions. I do not really care if I get my four people and don't pay fees - the way I look at it is that I am forced to save my money (a whopping 25 bucks a month) that I will spend on a vacation. I'm not a saver. I suck at saving money. Even with fees, the amount of money I have saved is absolutely out of this world. I am planning my vacation to Orlando in December so I can bring my daughter to Disney World, which is something I NEVER thought I would be able to afford on a social work income. My friend who traveled with me to Chicago has just signed up because she was able to see how amazing this vacation was for herself. I am excited to continue taking vacations at an affordable price. If WV is not for you, that's fine. I will continue to take my vacations and I am saddened that people are so hateful about something they haven't tried considering the majority of these reviews come from people who are not even members. I truly was excited for my friends when they signed up, not because I "made a quick buck", but because I can't wait to hear about the fun they had and the memories they made. I am grateful for this opportunity and it is actually really offensive people call it a scam. I love my friends and family and couldn't imagine bringing harm to them in any way. I have only presented this opportunity out of the genuine belief that this club is awesome, I've been on a trip I never imagined being able to go on, and I care about my loved ones and would like for them to be able to experience it as well.

All I have to say is that the person who got me to go to a WV presentation did so under false pretenses. She was someone I'd just met (we're going to be doing a play together) and she invited me to a "Social Mixer". I thought, how sweet, she wants to get to know me. I arrive, and the people gave off this vibe that I thought "Oh, no! It's an ultra-religious meeting, and they're all going to try to convert me!" Then they start the presentation, and I realize it's a sales pitch! But honestly, I wasn't that far off, because the way they were talking about how it changed their lives, it was almost like WV *was* their religion! I didn't want to be rude (heaven knows why) so I waited until the end of the presentation, but then I just walked out & told her "See you Monday." Now I have to deal with this rude idiot for the next month and a half. I had *ZERO* interest in this, especially since she felt that the only way to get me there was to lie to me. That alone speaks volumes as to the low quality of this organization.

WorldVentures Holdings soliciating/false gifts

Went to a cooking seminar that they called me about saying they recieved my name from a Bridal show I went to in 2007. For me & my fiance at the time to come look at a demonstration we would get a free meal and a free vacation, whether we purchased a vacation plan or not. Come to find out we did go there was not meal. The lady grilled a pieces of chicken cut it up and we all had a small piece of the chicken. Then they try to talk you into this expensive cookware me & my husband did not go along with it but they did give us the brochure to mail in to get us our free trip. Since that time January of 2008 I have been trying to set up a vacation. I tried to set up one for our anniversary said nothing was available have to book in 3 months. Left several messages and no one returns the call. In the last couple month tried to call and set up a trip because it does exp in December so I call now and a automated voicemail comes on and says they are having phone problems to leave a message but it just keeps repeating the same message and does not ever prompt you to leave a message. No matter if you try to hit 0, pound key or just keep letting it go to prompt you to leave a message it will not it will just keep repeating the same stupid message. For the last month voicemail has been on all day long. Now I try to look them up online and I see the scams from hundreds of other people that this same thing has happened too. I hope they are shut down and a serious lawsuit for people who spent there money with them.
