I signed up for match.com and immediately regretted my decision. Within 10 minutes I attempted to call customer service to request a refund. It was Sunday, so the 800 number was not available so I emailed customer service to request a refund. The auto-reply indicated I would get a response the next business day, but I didn't. I tried calling the 800 number Monday morning before work but with the time zone difference, the match.com number was not available. Because I work all day, I didn't get the opportunity to call back during the match.com business hours until Friday. The CSR and her manager told me I should have requested the refund the next business day... well I did request the refund the same day and attempted to follow up.

I was on the site for 10 minutes, immediately regretted my decision and requested a refund. I never logged back into the site because I do not want to be a part of match.com. I did what I was supposed to do as a consumer and I would expect a reputable company to do their part. It really makes me wonder how many people are really on match because they want to be or on the site as a hostage like me.

I canceled my subscription in September and was told "ok, you're canceled" by the person on the phone. Now, in November I find a $120 charge on an account I don't use which overdrew the account. When I called the person at Match told me that there is no record or my call (duh!) and that I had been emailing since I was supposed to be canceled (how would I know otherwise) so they could not refund the payment. I was also told that if I dispute the charge I will be flagged and my account will be deleted so I would no longer have access to Match...ever. So, it's their mistake and I pay for it? Fair? I think not. Buyer beware!

They ask you to subscribe listing different rates for different subscription lengths of time however the length of time is 6 months minimum no matter what. Bait and switch. Also, they send you notifications that someone is interested but when you look for their profile they are somehow not available. They don't exist! Also, people are using match.com logos to email but their profile is different from those presently up on the site. So, fraudulent billing, fraudulent subscribers, and people hoaxing their profile users.

I paid for 6 months on Match and wasn't very happy with what I was finding. I went in before it was supposed to auto-renew and cancelled it. I then went in and double checked it and it showed a button to push to 'reactive the auto-renewal'. To me that meant that there would be NO auto-renewal and I was set for it to quit after 6 months. I went into my checking account only to find another $131.00 taken from my account for Match. I called them and was told they had a no-refund policy and that I had cancelled it the day after the auto-renewal so therefore...they were sorry but couldn't do anything about it. I think this is one big scam and not happy with it at all. I did my due diligence in going in and cancelling at the right time and they're telling me I'm less than 12 hours difference and won't refund. I won't ever use this site again and feel something should be done!

I have not been a member of Match.com for several years, and they have not had the authority to deduct any monies from any of my financial accounts for several years. I was stunned to see the transaction re Match.com. I expect it to be reversed and the monet returned to my account. If not I will most definitely contact the ombudsman.

I tried several times on match.com, but couldn't work. I contacted their customer service by mails, no answers. Finally I got on online chat with the customer service, and he/she said he/she could help me subscribe. But I have to pay higher than the price on their website. The website says 17.99/month, but he/she told me I had to pay $240 for six months. Also, I tried to modify my profile, and they deleted a couple of paragraphs once the profile was proved by them. I didn't write any bad words, simply stated the fact about myself, I have no idea why they deleted those paragraphs. It is very rude. I also found some people complain about not being able to unsubscribe. I feel lucky that the subscribe didn't work out. :) I will choose another website.

Match.com is full of abusive nightmare losers. ask yourself - why would any decent looking non mentally disturbed w decent salary need to resort to internet for mate? something is severely wrong you will learn hardest lesson yourself. The only types of men that go on there - too hideous; decent looking with ill will, abusive temper; con-artist w no intent to date but scam you for $, liars / game players / cheaters on their spouse, or ppl with children not attractive to singles. The ones without photo are hiding from their spouses, law enforcement, because they need to. You will get these fake profile clowns that spam you non stop, insult you with non-sensical trash, ask for $ in their first email, ask for your address / phone # in the second email, or just go off diatribe anger from mental disease / baggage. If you report, match does nothing, but if you respond to spam mer to go to helll - Match closes YOUR acct. and robs your money. if u run into problems - inevitable because you are dealing with trash nut jobs - the only kind online, match will rob all your payment, never issue a refund, and hold all your info in case you sue them in court. that's what match.com gives you in exchange for your money. enjoy suing them!

Told that hackers had hacked into my site and customer service at match.com told me it would cost $200.00 to remove them! I had called the number for customer service listed on the web which is not found on the match.com site.
People reached out to me but no emails I sent to them were being read. This is fraud! Your site is infected and now you want me to pay to fix it?
Do not go on this site. A couple of years ago I was on here and people from africa were being impostors stealing peoples identities from the site, sending emails which were written in broken english. You will not be secure on this site. There is no tab for customer service on the match site.

Match.com renewed my subscription before it was due charging my card. Then my bank froze my account over Memorial weekend because the charge showed up as an "Escort" service. I have tried to contact them but any time you try and ask for a refund their system says there is an error ( Convenient ). The site it's self sucks. If you are a woman, plan on old sleazy men, that it. All it all this site really show be closed down. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD INFO OR PERSONAL INFORMATION!

Beware of Js9274 on match.com! This person named Adam Collins from West Des Moines, IA continues to have an active profile on match while he is in serious and committed relationships with multiple women! He will wine and dine girls and tell them everything they want to hear - please don't fall for it like many others have. If you have doubts, look him up on iowacourts online. He has pages of arrests. Not only is he a cheater and beater, but he is also a coke head! He will bring "blow" around like it's no big deal, meanwhile he is a professional and a father. He is a master manipulator, BEWARE!

I ask if you can cancel my match.com account. My account has bern blocked and its nothing i can do about it. I would like for them to refund me my money back to my credit card, i have been charged for a site that i cant use . Right after i signed up i was no longer able to do anything i couldnt sign in because i have been blocked from the website. This is an urgent message to the Complaints Board please contact As soon as possible

I had three days trial from match.com website a couple of months ago.The time of the trial, the members and subscribers could read and reply my email. I have been subscribed last month to site for three months. Couple of days later I realized that non paid members cant read and reply my email. I did not get any response to my emails. I have complaint it to match.com. and they cancelled my membership end of the first month and refund me $19. I have paid $69 for three months . I have sent a messages to web site several times that they should pay at least $46 but they ignored my messages They gave false information at the trial and they have to refund full amount actually. Could anyone help me how can i complain the web site to consumer affairs in USA.Thanks . Don Clavijo

I have had unauthorised charges made on my savings account (debit card). the description the transaction gives as, debit card purchases wwv*www.match.com/bill [protected] usa usd 140.42 incl westpac foreign transaction fee aud $4.69. I do not know how they got my account details as I have ceased using their services. could you please help me out as this transaction has caused emotional and financial misery for me. thanks for your services.

I checked my bank acct this morning and noticed a charge of $59.97 for Match.com. I called the number posted with the transaction [protected] and then immediately called my bank to have the card canceled. I saw that many others have had this issue with this company. Just wanted to share my story so if this happens with someone else they can see that it is a scam. My bank will refund the charges but I have to get a new credit card. Hopefully this doesn't happen again. I've seen several postings where it has continued to be a problem.

I signed up for match.com... Based on the criteria I put in, they sent me a slew of 'matches' that had none of the criteria which I selected... I expected a few to be erroneous but not all. I put in a particular ethnicity, and not one of the matches had that ethnicity. I started getting a slew of emails from persons I was not interested, within 18 hrs I wrote to match.com requesting a refund... No response, I then wrote again at 24hrs... No response... I said ok, they are probably closed.
The following day I responded to two persons who had written to me, then went on to call match.com and again ask for a refund. I was then informed that I could not get any money back because I used the site by sending two emails...
I informed them of all the preceding acts, I asked to speak to a supervisor who didn't listen to a word I said but offered to change my match criteria...
I then informed them they were in contravention to the civil code as I had 3 days to request a refund (Not sure if this is true or not, but I googled it) they then said that I was based in canada so it had nothing to do with them, I told them that was not the case as they were a corporation registered in the us.

I urged them to return my $50 as it is a relatively small cost to them, or keep it and pay much more in loss of reputation as I will not stay quiet and I will complain on any and every medium that will give me a voice in addition to researching my legal rights on this matter. The $50 is far from the issue as much as I feel robbed, like I wasted my time and suffered immensely poor customer service.

big pop up of men that are singles. no close option and i have to close my email to get rid of it. unsubscribing does not work. i am married and do no need to be matched to anyone. make it stop. while youre at it see if you can make yahoo answer complaints on the subject. i will at some time file a separate complaint against them for hosting these types of problems.
