Oh, one last detail. The charge was for $34. 99. The thing that makes me so mad about this is that it costs the bank money to re - issue the card. It is also a hassle as it will take 7 - 10 days to receive the replacement card - at xmas time. I live in ct (Outside nyc). What states do all of you others that had this same problem live in? I've heard about these scams where guys sit in their cars and have a computer that is rigged to rip off credit card numbers as they are swiped when you make a purchase. Isn't wireless technology wonderful. I wonder if this is that scam. I have used this particular card so little, that i'm guessing it is some scam like this. Kudos to the credit card company for reversing out the charges the same day.

WMV*MATCH.COM [protected] TX also posted an unauthorized/fraudulent charge on my credit card. The credit card company reversed out the charge on the same day it was posted, so they must have been on to this scam. When I called the credit card company, they recommended cancelling the card.

FYI: it isn't match.com. The transactions details are forged. I used match.com for one month back in 6/2014. Had two charges that were legitimate. The transaction description of two legitimate charges have the same format including an MCC and the fraudulent charge is of a different format and lacks the MCC.

Upon viewing my PayPal account just now I noticed a transaction for $119.94 to WMV*MATCH.COM on April 22, 2013. I in no way authorized this transaction. There needs to be another transaction completed putting this amount back into my account within 10 days of this notice. 4/23/2013 Bill Robinson

The banks won't stop charges unless you notify them that they are incorrect or that you have not made them. First thing you do is cancel your debit/credit card and fill out a fraud charge form at the bank. They will reimburse your money after they investigate. You should try to get in contact with Match.com which I did try to do but got nowhere. They wanted me to create an account to tell them that someone created an account that was charged to me erroneously. (it really is a shot in the dark) Once you fill out a form stating that you did not make those charges and cancel your card, then the bank will reverse the charge. They (match.com) cannot make any further charges as that card is no longer valid. If they try using your checking information, then the bank needs to be notified of that too so that it can be stopped.
Your bank is not "In this with them." But instead has no idea what is going on unless you notify them and fill out all the appropriate paperwork.

My bank cancelled my card before I could get to them. These weasels also charged almost $500 at Walmart.com

I just found a pending post for over 74.00 on my account. Researched at it is the same as all the other complaints. My bank will deal with it once it posts (hard). I had to 'hot card' my debit card and it will cost me 15.00 to get a new one... I think I am calling our state attorney general to see what can be done! This is absolutely ridiculous!

Now we are in 2014... AND THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS! My card has just be charged by theses guys. I haven't noticed their fraud in the last statement, thus the bank will only reimburse this month's charge. WHY, HOW COME THEY ARE STILL THERE?!?! How come they've never been prosecuted? The only possible explanation : THE BANKS ARE ACCOMPLICES, else they would've been shut down since a long time (they wouldn't be in business without a bank). Indeed, it must be quite lucrative, which is "good" for any bankers solely living by its stupid and mafia-like God-Dollar "Laws" (reimbursing a couple of clients on their credit card is residual compared to the huge amount of dirty revenues they musty be doing with such crooks)... I'm gojng to the police tomorrow, will complain against that company AND their bankers, and will never abandon until that company is shut down. If any one dare have the balls to jump in the wagon, be my guest, the more we are the more it'l get resolved rapidly : COLLECTIVE ACTION (are there any lawyer around who's also got crooked by them?)

I just saw a charge for $39.99 as well from WMV*Match.com. I called Mastercard right away to report fraud and canceled my card. I doubt match.com is responsible. It's a thief/thieves who do this to rip off people and/or mess up our lives.

I woke up to a live nightmare some cold hearted person took it upon themselves to take my hard earned money the following shown was on my statement :CRD PURCHASE 02/10 WMV*MATCH.COM [protected] TX $59.97, then they refunded the money back into my account a few days ago. People need to really get a life and stop trying to make a living by taking from those who work hard to make it.

Three charges to my card tonight I found. 1 for WMV.Match.com and 2 for www.Match.com., or possibly 1 of these is from WMV as well. One was denied, others pending.

I have already contacted my card company and have tried contacting WWW.Match.com

I have been scammed by match.com for over 1 year! They have a auto renewel policy that without permission or prior notification can bill my credit card without warning. The customer has to cancel within 3 days for any credit to occur. The problem here is several 1.) my auto insurance policy always provides at least a 3 day notice prior to billing my account so I am aware - - match.com DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY NOTICE so by the time one reviews their statement the 3 days has easily passed and you are forced to keep the subscription for $59.97 for an additional 90 days. 2.) I had SWORN that prior to attending graduate school I had turned off their "auto renewel" option in 11/09. Come to find out almost 1 year later, that I have been billed consecutively throughout the year till 3/11 every 90 days...SOMEHOW, MATCH.COM is easily able to turn-on or the mechanism is so easily triggered the auto-renewel button begins billing again! There is not even a message from match.com that immediately follows saying "Thank you for your subscription". The customer has NO WAY of knowing these billing transactions are occuring! Obviously, here is "NO" guarantee for the customer that if your credit card stays on file with them, they will STOP continuously billing you. There is no communication from them regarding renewels, confirmations, notices. YOU must realize problem! THIS AUTO-RENEWEL WITHOUT NOTIFICATION/OR PRIOR PERMISSION AND 3-DAY MANDATORY CANCELLATION FOR REFUND IS HOW MATCH.COM IS SCAMMING AND MAKING $$$$$$$ OFF THEIR CUSTOMER'S! They hire very sweet, customer focused women (Michele and Theresa) that ease the customer frustrations that are the messengers for these scam artist owner jerks! To stay ahead of their game, if you chose to subscribe, make certain they do not keep your credit card on file. Which will involve calling and speaking to a customer representative - not sure if that wil still be sufficent enough...Today, I have contacted my credit card company to fight these bogus, and unethical billing practices! I am also going to the BBB.

In this economy, these businesses have become REALLY LOW-DOWN CROOKS! They steal when you are NOT watching! Buyer beware! Check out the founders Gary Kremens match.com perspective on money http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfwIeuT2rOk

After renewing with their service for 6 months, scam too is that I didn't find anyone to date within 6 months stated promotion is they'll give you 6 months free - this is lie too, after Nov 5th deadline I checked to see if they billed me and the did. I immediately canceled membership and they said "they won't automatically renewed Once your subscription expires in 5/5/10...6 months after I canceled it. Another words, they charged me $76 from 5/5/09 thru 11/5/09 authorized and $101.94 unauthorized for the same period.

Talk about a scam
Match.com when you initiate your membership doesn't allow you to unclick the renewal button, I made many attempts to contact to express my outrage to this but, the don't show a customer service phone number and lame email responses that don't answer your questions are sent.

Unauthorized charge by WMV*MATCH.COM [protected], then they turned around and gave me a credit for the same amount the same day. Then 5 days later had unauthorized charge by EASYDATE HOLDINGS PLC. I think the WMV*MATCH.COM charge was a decoy to see if it would go through, then they sold my info to EASYDATE HOLDINGS PLC, or they are the same people. I have not had any contact with either entity so this is a scam. So if an unauthorized charge comes up from WMV*MATCH.COM better call your credit card company or bank and and cancel the card and issue a new one, because there will likely be more charges like the one from EASYDATE HOLDINGS PLC. Just glad I caught it as quickly as I did.

They're still at it. I see a class action lawsuit on the horizon. We'll need to find how exactly WMV*Match.com got our credit card numbers and go after that entity. Credit card fraud is a federal offense and punishment is severe.

This also happens to me. Two charges of $37 and $34 and some change was charged to this wmv#match.com as well as two $59.99 to red phone mobile. So this person stole my debit card and wiped out my bank account of the money that was in process of paying my gas and electric bill. The bank canceled my card but the fraud department takes up to 10 business days to investigate and return your money. Hope karma gets this person and they go to jail.

I too have had unauthorized charges from Match.com. My bank immediately refunded the money. My guess is that the information
gained to access a bank debit/credit card is pulled from one's computer via a virus or some type of malware. If you order things and
pay bills with your computer, the information remains in cache. I don't necessarily think Match.com is doing the bank account theft
intentionally. I think crooks use the information gleaned from their malware downloaded to your computer and make a Match.com account; then they "cancel, " the account and attempt to have the refund deposited in a different account. I will say I have used Match.com before and that may have put me on the, "radar, " of the internet thieves...who ever they are.

Match.com kept all the credit cards information on your website and webpage and just one click, you are charged. It is illegal and I will go to the post office to file charges within three business days to cancel the illegel charge.

I investigated Match.com on Saturday thee 30the. They showed a monthely rate of $19.99. When I entered my Card info thee rate jumped to $127.87. I said to myself oh-well, which was a mistake. I entered thee site and tried to email otheer customers and thee email would not allow me input any text. After trying numerous times, I gave up.
When I received thee bill on my card on thee Monday thee 3rd. I called thee company and told theem I was willing to pay for one monthe, even theough I could not or would not. They said theat since I sent out email theey could not refund me. I explained I was not pleased withe thee system and did not want thee service. The only way I could get out of thee account was to agree to pay $78.00 dollars, even theough I originally agreed to only $19.95. This service is unreputable and I recommend theat no one uses it.
Stuck withe thee bill,

Match.com is full of scammers.
I think there are more scammers than actual members.
Most of the people that send you winks, on there will dissapear within 8 hours of sending you a wink.
All these scammers do all day is try to prey on lonely people. I never was scammed, I can figure when things don't add up.
I have reported potential scammers to match.com, but they do little to remove these people from the system.
Match.com is over. It was a thing of the 90's. It has turned into a haven for scammers.

This just happened to me today! I was charged $71.97 by WMV*MATCH.COM, $1.95 by MATE1, and $17.10 by EASYDATE HOLDINGS PLC. These are transactions I never made. The sad thing is, due to the holiday weekend my bank just informed me they cannot do anything until Tuesday! Kind of puts a lack of faith in our modern banking industry, doesn't it? Shouldn't law enforcement be involved here? I don't know what to do.

I suggest a class action suit to make Match.com liable for these fraudulent charges...also to make them be responsible for what has happened. I too have been charged over the last year(unknown to me until recently) by WMV Match.com. for $45.00 When I called the number all I got was a recording from Match.com. They have ignored my attempts to solve the issues. I have my credit card company investigating the charges, which will take time. If we don't stand up together and fight this...every company out there will think it's ok to screw us behind our back!

Well I have this WMV MATCH.COM on my credit card as well as of today when going to check the transactions. The only 2 charges I have made all year on this card are:

PAYPAL *ICEMONKEY
Transaction date: 01/26/2012
Card type: Visa
Transaction type: Purchases
Merchant description: ELECTRONIC STORES

and

PAYPAL *LIENASTORE
Transaction date: 01/27/2012
Card type: Visa
Transaction type: Purchases
Merchant description: PROFESSIONAL SERVICES (NOT ELSEWHERE CLASSIFIED)

Something tells me it's this last transaction that might possibly be the problem since right after this last transaction hit it came up as pending. The charge of the MATCH.COM is only pending as we speak, but will stil be looking into it.
