We were tennants of a WJD property for 2 years. Within that time frame, the dishwasher, hot water heater, clothes washing machine, furnace, and over ALL quit working. In EVERY instance, there were delays or stall tactics in having them repaired or replaced. The furnace leaked gas so for five days we went without heat in the middle of January. We also had a severe squirel infestation in the attic. It took 23 visits by a trapper to eliminate the issue. It was so bad that they dug a whole in the ceiling of my daughter's bedroom. We had to (on our own) replace the clothes washer and dryer at our expense. After all of this they kept half our security deposit! WHAT A JOKE OF A PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY! BEWARE OF REPRESENTATIVES FOR SLUM LORDS AND STAY AWAY!

I was a tenant of a WJD property in Vienna, VA paying $3400 rent on a single family home on a temporary basis. The home was old, smelly, needed few hundred thousand dollars worth of work and the only reason the owner has it rented is because it's near Tysons and the location and I had to be there due to school district. What I didn't know is WJD was the mosy unethical firm I have ever run across in my 29 years as a fiancial professional. This outfit should belong in a third work country as they lack integrity, customer service and most of all unethical business practice. They manage properties that are in needof work and maintenance and they lack customer support - good luck trying to talk to someone. Their clients who are the owners of these rental properties know they can get away with lack of maintenance, withholding security deposits for no reason except to benefit their cash flow and making tenants life miserable. Original poster was absolutely correct, they represent slum lords of DC. I pray that this firm goes out of business!

I was a WJD tenant, and I found them to be very professional and helpful--especially the lady who usually answered the phone in the office and the guy who came to do the maintenance stuff. I recommend them. It was a good experience, and I liked being able to pay rent online.
