Received a phone call on my cell from ann marie bradford from winners international claiming that i had won $750, 000 from a publishers clearing house sweepstakes. She said that in order for the prize to be released i would have to wire $2, 500 to an attorney. I told her i did not have that much money and the amount was reduced to $1, 500. I told her again that i could not get that kind of money and she suggested that i pawn my car and she would call the next day to give me further instructions. She started calling the next day at 8am. I did not answer and she repeatedly called for a total of 24 calls so far and this is the first day.

The scam also runs under the name of Winners Paidout International. They start the call out saying they are with UPS and then the story can be all over the place from a raffle, sweepstakes, or paying your bills ontime with a credit card.

The calls are normally of poor quality and most of the people have a heavy accent. I have been contacted numerous times for over four weeks wanting to know when I'll send the documentation/processing fee so they can send me my check for $2.5 millon dollars.

I have talked with at least two males and two females. One female claimed to have been a bank manager for over 20 years yet she says "sugar" and "sweety" in reference to me.

Lots of red flags and they are persistant.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

I have received 2 calls from Winners International. The first call was from Joe Oxendine who said I was one of three winners in a sweepstakes; that I had won a pearl white 2011 Mercedez Benz and $250, 000 cash. Geico is covering the insurance on the car and his company is paying all but 1% of taxes. My car and winnings can not be delivered to me on Monday, January 17 because it is a national holiday (MLK Day). He said they would be back in touch with me on Tuesday. Nevertheless I received a call today (January 17) from Joe who now says his last name is Oxenburg (!). He says that tomorrow I will be receiving a call from a Mr. Duncan regarding delivery. I am sure I will be asked to submit a fee before delivery of my "winnings." I plan to ask them for a tax ID number and call them out as thieves. Is anybody doing anything about this? Fortunately, I am savvy enough not to be taken in. But I am under heavy financial pressure and it is so tempting to hope, to believe. These people should be stopped.

I got a call today from a man with an accent who said his name was John Henry from the phone #[protected] and the CID said Kingston JM he told me that I had won $350, 000.00 plus $100, 000.00 cash and a mercedes benz because I shopped at Sears and Wal-Mart. He told me that the $350, 000.00 would be in a cashiers check at Chase Bank international and the other money would be in a brief case in cash! He told me that I Just needed to pay $3500.00 which is 0.0001 % of the taxes on the winnings, and so I would have to take the money to Wal-Mart or Western Union and pay it to get a reciept for an attorney so they could get my signature, and then they would come to my home to give me my winnings, and would deliver the Mercedes to my house. As soon as he said Western Union I knew this was a scam, and how stupid that I would win Just because I shop at those stores! If anyone gets a call from ANY 876 area code, THIS IS A SCAM! Don't fall for it! Don't give out Any of your personal information either! Be safe :)

Just received a call from "Publisher's clearing house " and they said I won 25000 in cash and something from At&t and a walmart gift card worth 5000. They said someone would come to my house tomorrow to deliver the check and that there would be cameras and everything. I played along to see how far they would go and to see if they would ask for money. In deed they did... 99.00 is what they wanted me to WESTERN UNION them to the WEST INDIES... HA - I called his bluff and then I asked him to give me the number of his supervisor and he gave me this number: [protected] and the number was disconnected. So I called him back and said.. wrong number- I am reporting you to the police unless you give me the number of someone who can confirm who you are ~ He then got angry and basically hung up on me. :)
I so am going to call and harass him. So if you get a call from a Michael Washington at [protected]~ You'll know he's a con artist...

Very determined "Mr Bob Miller" wants me to send only $750 to some Wanda Chamberlain in Michigan priority mail so that "they" can deliver my $450, 000 certified check from Wells Fargo Bank and $20, 000 cash this very afternoon. He just wanted "to help me" get this done so there would be no problems. The guy actually screwed up so bad as to call ME Mr. Miller! I said "Wait a minute. I thought that YOU were Mr Miller."

These guys are counting on somebody being a real ### with this scheme (scam.) So far, in the past 2 months I have won $2.5 million, $5 million plus a BMW! First phone number is from Kingston, Jamaica - today's number is "PRIVATE CALLER." My prize is dwindling away - 2.5 up to 5 million and now down to $450, 000 tax prepaid! Man where else can you get a deal like this? In your dreams thats where!

I finally got him to identify the "company" he was working for. Winners International Global Sweepstakes. Type in this four words and get pages full of scan alerts. Glad to have the internet at my disposal for purposes such as this. He was just astounded that I would be skeptical of his BS.

Where I was raised we were taught that, if you didn't enter you sure as hell didn't win - in fact - if you DID enter you sure as hell didn't win. Heads up everybody. These good christian people are just trying to help us out (by removing as much money as possible from our bank accounts.) SCAM.

I have been harassed tonight by John Perry, also with an aceent, syaing that I had won $250, 000 and a 2011 BMW! The number on my Caller ID was from an unknown caller but gave me the [protected] phone number to call him back once I had gone to Walmart or Western Union to get the receipt for $799.00. I had won because I pay my bills on time! I also would have an escort to the bank, He went on and on, so I could see that this was going no where so I hung up. About an hour later a private call came in, and again it was the same, John Perry. He was quite upset that I'd hung up on him. So I tried to explain that I did not have time to listen to this because I was sure that it was a scam. He kept telling me that Donald Trump was involved and I could take his word that I'd had indeed won. I finally told him that he had one minute to finish and then I was hanging up again. I'm wondering if he'll try again tomorrow...think I'll have my husband answer the phone and give him a piece of his mind!

I to also got a call this morning on 6/14/11 at 8:50 am from a John Michael with a accent saying that I had won 2.5 millon, 180, 00 in cash and a Mercedes. The number on my caller id was [protected]. He mentioned some sweepstakes that I had been automatically entered in by paying my utility bill on time or shopping at Wal-Mart. He asked had I recieved any notification by mail. I told him no and he went on to asks me if I would be home today and something about my local PD escorting me to the bank! He also said that he would call me back around noon to finish getting everything legalized so I could recive the money, and that he did do but I was on the other line at the time, so he left a message saying the same about getting things legallized so they could get the money to me. I called back and got a voicemail from the phone # but no answer. The only info he had was my current address and I gave my cell phone # but nothing vitale that could harm my finances. Okay so soon as I got off the phone I went staight to the internet...what did I find... a s*** ton of complaints and scams listed about the "876" area code. So if you are reading this, I know the the economy is rough right now and things are tight, and many of us would like nothing more than to get that phone call or have the prize patol to knock on the door and make you a millonare but don't be fooled! THIS IS A SCAM! If it sounds to good to be true... most likely it is. When doubt check it out and don't send any money or give out your vitale info that could make you a victim and leave you broke! THESE ### NEED TO GET A LIFE AND PICK UP CANS OR SOMETHING TO MAKE A FEW DOLLARS INSTEAD OF PRAYING ON PEOPLE WHO ARE GULLABLE! P.S and I was sleeping good this morning too! If I wasn't half sleep when I answered the phone I wouldn't have piced it up...waking me up out of my good rest for nothing and trying to play with my head...lol..lmao

Today I received about 20 calls from George Steinberg of Winners International Association. He told me that I'd won $4.5 million in a Readers Digest Sweepstakes. He informed me that to insure safe delivery of my winnings I needed to MoneyGram $455 via Western Union to 'Daine Sutherland' in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I said I'd do so after lunch. Meantime I got online and did some checking (I was a little hopeful that I'd actually won). I quickly realized that I was being scammed. Over the next two hours 'George' called me continuously, so I ran down to the local PD to report the harassment. As I was standing in the lobby of the PD talking to the Sheriff, 'George' called again. I let the Sheriff answer this time. It was hilarious!

Someone with an Indian accent and with children in the background called my parents this evening claiming that they had won a prize. They knew some sensitive medical information about my mother and claimed the phone call was being recorded for the federal government. Right away I knew it was a scam, but my father does a lot of Sweepstakes by mail, and he wouldn't give up on the hope that it was real. He was on the phone for about an hour, and the guy was paranoid about having anyone listen in on the phone conversation and told my father that he couldn't tell anyone about the winnings, even me his son, because if word got out my father could get robbed or shot. He went on to ask if we had been contacted about the winnings by the sweepstakes company, Winners International, and my father replied that no it was his first contact about the prize. He said that we had won a 2011 Mercedes Benz and 5.8 million dollars. My father still wouldn't give up when the guy told him that he needed $970 up front for insurance purposes in case something happened to the check so that we could still recieve the money. My father still wouldn't believe it was a scam, but said he would give him the money once he recieved the prize. I was getting pretty furious at this point, and the guy got angry when my father mentioned he thought it might be a scam. Then the guy made the mistake of asking my father to look up Winners International on the internet to prove that it was legitimate. Obviously I ran across numerous postings that it was a scam, and at that point my father ended the conversation. I didn't listen to the whole thing, so I hope he didn't hand out any information to the guy. He gave us a number to call back and it was [protected]. Hopefully if someone wants to bust this guy they will track this telephone number. My father didn't want to file an official complaint with the fbi internet fraud group, so I am posting this here as a warning to others.

winners international called my cell phone and stated we won a $10, 000 gift basket from at&t. Several calls and a bogus UPS tracking number and they finally got to the point of needing $199.99 for shipping fees. Here are the phone numbers. [protected] and [protected]. Never gave them any information other than current address. The UPS number was 1z4061168470582300. Hope this helps stop these losers.

I was contacted by a man named Mike Larry, His number is [protected] . He promised my husband had won 3.5 million dollars in
a check and 90, 000 in cash if we paid tax and delivery fee of 1500 dollars. When we said we did not have the money he dropped the fee
to 750 dollars. He is persistant calling several times a day. He sated
he was calling from Las Vegas. I traced the call to an area code in Jamaica. Please be careful. Don't be gullable. Don't give your hard earned money to crooks. He also stated he was a God fearing man, honest and would not tell a lie. Yes I believe Winners International
is a organized scam.
