front load washer
Well we bought the Whirlpool Deut Front load washer and dry set 4 years ago and after 2 years the washer started acting up but we managed to get by with it. After all it cost us $2400 for the set and we were not about to buy another one.
Ok to the story:
My wife was doing a load of laundry one evening and noticed a burning smell around the washer. I unplugged the unit and had a service guy in the next day to look at it. He took out the Computer control Module and opened it up only to find the circuit board was getting so hot it actually started to burn the plastic case. Here is a picture of the unit:

Now lucky for us we stayed home that evening or it could of caught fire and burned our house down. I sent Whirlpool an email stating the problem and also the picture expecting them to at least ask for the part back so they could check it out but nope, they don't care after they get your money. All I got back from them was this:
"Please accept our apologies for the difficulties and inconvenience you have experienced with your Whirlpool washer."
Great company hey. Well I will never buy another one of their products again.
flame lock coupling
In 2003 we bought a water heater from Whirlpool. It was a 50 gallon LP water heater. We wanted a 40 gallon but the store didn't have any in stock. Two years later the thremal coupling went out on it so I had to go 35 miles one way and get a part for it, send the reciept in and get a refund from Whirlpool. Now the same part has gone again. It has been a real circus trying to get anything out of them and several phone calls to our Lowe's and Whirlpool. Every time you get a person that does not speak good english and you can half understand them. We will have to pay shipping for the part because it is a rebuild kit for the same part that went 2 years ago. Now they knew this and told us of a part we could get from Lowe's but our Lowe's has told us that they have ordered this part several times from Whirlpool and can' t get it in. Now I have ordered the part which I think is unfair since it is faulty workmen ship on the part of Whirlpool. How many times am I going to have to go through all of this. I don't recommend any one ever buy a water heater from Whirlpool nor will I ever buy one again. You can't get any customer satisfaction from them. Not only do I have to pay 15 dollars and something for overnight shipping but it takes 2 days to get it so I am without hot water again for 2 days. Why did I pay almost 300 dollars for a water heater that I have to keep sinking money into. I am so disgusted with these companies that are like this. Why are they like that and why can't we the hard workers in America ever get any that is deacent these days?

I purchased a Cabrio in February 2007. The machine never worked and the repairman sent out 3 days later said he did not know how to repair it! After pestering Whirlpool and Tasco from whom I purchased the machine for 3 weeks, I finally received a new machine a month later. This machine worked great until 3 weeks ago - it is now less than 20 months old. Because it is outside the 1 year warrenty, Whirlpool will do nothing. The extended guarantee is in force but the part is on back order. No service person has come out to check out the machine, they have diagnosed over the phone that it is a broken pump. The part was finally ordered 5 days after reporting the malfunction and I was told I was fortunate that they had been able to locate one in the U.S. Apparently the pump is on back-order everywhere and exceedingly difficult to get. However, Whirlpool refused to send it by courier, saying they weren't set up to do that - can you believe? I was told it would be a maximum 10 working days. The 10 days came and went and the liason at Whirlpool was awol. When finally tracked down 2 days later, I was told that the part had been sent to Calgary, not Toronto. Again, no one returned calls. Finally today I'm told it has been sent from Calgary and will be with the service company sometime tomorrow - Friday but maybe not til Monday or Tuesday next week...4 weeks after first being reported. Don't have any faith it will happen. Thanks Mom for letting me use your 25 year old Maytag. Don't buy another one though if it breaks because Maytag now owned by ... Whirlpool!
Whirl Poo Cabrio is hunk of junk I wish I had never bought. Does not rinse clothes properly, spin cycle does not run, lid will no longer lock so the washer will not run now. Hunk of ###!
whirlpool cabrio 5600 is a mechanical flop!
Whirpool Cabrio washer is the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned! I will NEVER NEVER NEVER buy ANYTHING whirlpool agin! I have had my washer a little over 2 years and had to have it repaired twice and now it won't work because the lid won't lock. Don't ever buy this washer, sooo not worth the money!
front-loading washing machine a lemon
A little over 2 1/2 years ago, I purchased a brand new front loading Whirlpool washing machine (Whirlpool LHW0050PQ) with stacking dryer. About a month ago, it stopped working (the warranty for the machine was 1 year, so it is no longer covered). The power would come on - but the machine would no longer begin wash cycles (the Start button did nothing). I had a repair person in who took several visits to diagnose the problem. In the end, it was determined that the machine required a new control panel. The control panel cost over $500. With labour, I have spent approximately $800 now. When the part was replaced, as soon as the repair person left, I did a load of laundry, only to discover that the problem still existed *exactly* as it had before. I called the repair company - who wanted to take the machine to their shop to diagnose it. What they found was that the new part had almost instantly shorted out as soon as the machine was used for the first time after replacing it. They contacted Whirlpool technical support who told them that something in the machine must be causing the short. According to the person at the repair shop that I spoke to, Whirlpool offered to give them a door latching mechanism for free for the washing machine so that they could perhaps see if it was causing the short (my repair people did install this part). In addition, Whirlpool gave me a new control panel (a new $500 part to replace the one that I bought that had burnt out - because it was still under warranty as a new part purchase). I now have the washing machine back and it seems to be working, but I have no faith whatsoever that it will continue to work for any length of time.
Here are my concerns:
- obviously, it positively sickens me that I would have to spend $800 to repair a washing machine that is only 2 1/2 years old. The washing machine was not cheap. I thought I was buying quality. This obviously wasn't the case.
- upon learning that the replacement part would cost so much, I would have just bought a new washing machine (not from Whirlpool!). However, the repair shop explained to me that my stackable Whirlpool dryer was only going to fit on top of a Whirlpool washing machine. So, to replace the washing machine would mean that I would also have to sell my dryer. Weighing the pros and cons of the situation, I decided to fix the washing machine even though it positively sickened me to give Whirlpool another cent. I find it equally repulsive that, when one buys a stackable unit, they're basically stuck if one part of it fails (this would be more acceptable, of course, if the machines lasted considerably longer than 2 1/2 years).
- when the repair person first brought the replacement part to my house, he mentioned that the replacement part was now being sold as part of a kit (control board with motor board - that's how they had purchased it from Whirlpool). He mentioned that, when parts come in a kit, it usually means the company has had problems with the part (so they sell the parts in a way that makes the many repair jobs easier). If Whirlpool has been having problems with this part, I have to wonder why they wouldn't instead compensate customers who'd bought the part in the first place. The fact that the replacement part had *exactly* the same problems as the original part makes me wonder the exact same thing.
- I have to wonder how much Whirlpool is making off of these replacement parts. It is absurd to me that any washing machine part should cost $500 - unless, of course, the company selling the part is marking up its value considerably. I really have to wonder if this isn't part of the company's business model: selling units that fail shortly after the warranty expires and then selling the parts required to fix the units at a jacked up price.
- related to the above point, the $500 replacement part has a guarantee of 3 months. Three months for something that cost over $500! In other words, if the part goes again in 4 months (and the machine's history tells me that this is a great possibility), I am completely out of luck again. I have never - ever - spent $500 on something that didn't come with a guarantee that wasn't at least a year long. You can buy a $30 toaster anywhere and it comes with at least a 1 year warranty! But I guess, considering what I believe to be their business model (see above), I'm not really that surprised by this.
- I am extremely confused by Whirlpool technical support's involvement in this. You would think that the nature of their involvement was an admission that something in the machine had caused the $500 part to go in the first place. This is especially suspect since they offered another part for free to try to make that determination. I just have to wonder why I should have had to pay $800 to replace a part that was caused by a fault with the machine in the first place.
- I have spent $800 and been without a working washing machine for over a month now. That alone is ridiculous. But, to add potential injury to insult, I now have a washing machine with parts that have proven to short out because of a deficiency with the machine. In other words, I now have to wonder if my washing machine is going to catch fire every time I use it!
I have written to Whirlpool 3 times now about this situation. All they really told me in return was that they appreciate my business and that they have added my concerns to their database. I don't think I need to explain to anyone what little consolation that has given me...
fraud
Boy, am I glad I found you! This a&e repair outfit is such a scam I am surprised a company like rca/whirlpool deals with them. Why hasn't some attorney general shut them down? I am now in the process of getting them to honor their 90-day repair warranty for repairs which I paid for less than 30 days ago. After reading all of the complaints I now know enough to stop payment by the credit card company and not let them back in my house.
Whew!
endless repairs
I HATE this microwave! We purchased it 4/05 and it has not gone a single year without a repair. After the warranty expired, we bought insurance every year! The most recent breakdown was 9/29/08 and it had to be taken to the shop. We got it back 2 weeks later and it worked for 8 days. We've had magnetrons, inverters, circuit boards--you name it--replaced. Including this latest repair, insurance has paid out $1600+. Better them than me! I asked for a replacement and got a runaround. I figure they'll wait until the piece of junk is more than 5 years old when the prorate drops to 45% towards the cost of a replacement. I also emailed Whirpool and told them what I thought of their products. They said they were sorry I was having problems. Would you believe they thanked me because they said this information helps them build better products! Unbelievable! Whatever you do, don't buy a Whirlpool. And be aware that Whirlpool also makes KitchenAid and some Kenmore products and I read that they're thinking of buying Maytag.
poor product
I went to conn's to buy the best washer they had in the store, we paid $ 1300 dollers for both washer and a dryer. From the first day we got these thing we have hade to get some one out to work on the washer it has not work right yet. We have ask for a new one they would not do it. I have a disable child at home that's in a coma like state this washer is needed every day to keep his thing clean. I have ask conn's over and over for a replacement washer no one seems to care about our needs or our feeling. We use all the money we had on these thing to get some trash ween we were told it's the best. The only best i've seen is the best replacement part user not happy at all calling the store to only get the run around every time. Ill never shop at conn's again my god bless
customer service
Customer service - whirpool spain
Whipool customer service in spain gives no answers to problems after first repairing. they came to repair my fridge ant I paid for it. however, the appliance has problems again (two days after first repairing) and no the local customer service eslaset nor whirpool in spain has answered our calls and emails to repair it.
My fridge has been malfunctioning for more than 2 months. it is really problematic and nobody seams to care about it.
Please, be careful when you buy a whirpool appliance. the quality of the customer service is vital, and whirpool service does not solve problems.
thanks.
I have an 865 euro cooker from Whirlpool that has lasted 2 months . Despite several phone calls (and also the very kind intervention of Ikea from where the cooker was purchased ) we still have not had a service engineer out to rectify the problem . For a global company this is disgusting and they seem to have such a couldn't care less attitude .
shoddy workmanship
Our 4-year old water heater went and we spent an entire week on
the phone with Whirlpool's techs giving us advice, sending new parts to be installed--to no avail. Finally, authorization was issued to return the heater to Loew's for another one which we did and which worked for exactly one hour before the pilot stopped working again. After more phone calls, scheduled service calls (3) which were all cancelled by the provider (not us), and 8 days without hot water, we returned the water heater to Loew's, got store credit, went to Sear's, bought a Kenmore, installed it and--hooray--have had hot water for a week now! We will NEVER, EVER buy another Whirlpool product and neither will our children or friends. I will make sure everyone knows of their horrible service, their unbearable hold
waiting for phone service, their techs who cannot speak English
and their LIES!
leakage
I have recently purchased a refrigerator from your so called "prestigious brand whirlpool" which I assure isn't. Just taken the mega mind model 2 months ago through finance from sharma electronics, ajmer (Rajasthan) but have been facing leakage in refrigerator from the very first day. Made complaints to the dealer mentioned above but not got any response except that he will speak to agency which is of no help at all. I also spoke to whirlpool agency employee in my city ie ajmer, they did come and check the problem but were of no help as they themselves did not have any product knowledge which they should. Time and again I have made frequent calls and got response that they will send their agent to check the problem either somebody comes or somebody doesn't.
front load washing machine
Our HE Whirlpool Washing Machine leaks all over the floor everytime we use it. Whirlpool has failed to supply the part that needs replacing and we have been trying to get it fixed for 9 weeks. This is whats frustrating:
You call their customer service centre and they give the run around. They refuse to put you through to a manager or someone that has decision making ability. When I asked to talk to a manager they told me that there are several departments within customer service and too many manger so they couldn't possibly know who to put me through to.
Once whirlpool has your money they have little interest in providing customer support.
last year i logdged a complaint regarding my whirlpool washing machine whih was purchased 7 months back the cost of the machine was 22000 rs. the ssales person came and i told him the machine was fine the only problem was that the rubber had a small cut and it had to be replaced. the sales rep immediately removed the tyre and said he will replace the next day and did not close the oter cparts that he had opened. after two days of calling again another guy turns up he figdets with the machine and says we are unable to get a new tyre so i told him that they should have removed it only after finding about the spare .this guys tries to put back the same tyre but fails and hebreaks another part when questioned he shouts back and talks implotiely. now i want an answer from the whirl pool company regarding the bheaviour of the sales person and pay me for the damage scaused though i get calls from their customer asking how the machine is working when they have damaged it to the core .finally i have discarded the machine . my sincere request to other customer beware of whirlpool though they have a name they dont stand to deserve at any cost.the proverb dont judge a machine by its name would stand best
My attitude exactly we bought a brand new front load set in february 2009 and this is december 2009. Our whole electronic board shut down. Mind you I run a seven family household and I was inconvenienced for a month. If my husband wouldnt have raised sand about it going out before the year warranty was out. They would have just simply fixed it and moved on. We did convince them to give us another year warranty. Also, what is it with the tablet thing so it doesn't mold. Honestly, I cant find them anymore to buy. OH, yeah I to have the floor leaking problem. Although they gave us a warranty I want to put it on the curb and someone takes it and we reinvest in a top load that I know will last for 20 years.
They take your $500.00 fee to show up, have NO clue about whats wrong with the WHIRLPOOL CRAP front loader washer, and then forget to give an invoice, AND DO NOT call you the NEXT day as promised to let you know what there next GUESS is in diagnosing these CRAPPY usleless problem riddin machines.
LESS IS MORE WHIRLPOOL< but not out of the customers pocket, WHIRLPOOL WANTS MORE of your $$$$ to consistantly screw buyers over!
In the past 5 weeks of THREE separate visits by Whirlpool repair guys coming to the house to replace motherboards, new this and that and ALWAYS on the phone with their "Useless" tech support teams, THESE Whirlpool washers ARE GARBAGE! USELESS!
The WORST insult to customer satifaction you will WITNESS is BUYING a WHIRLPOOL washer and dryer! B E W A R E, DO NOT buy these GARBAGE machines, they dont call us back when they say they are ordering a new component? They DO NOT have anwer and WONT FIX the terrible FLAW design of thee HORRIBLE machines. Have I said enough?
double billing on same product
Back in March I submitted a duplicate payment for my appliances $142.63. I contacted the above number and they stated it would be refunded in 4 to 6 weeks. She acknowledged seeing two payments thru different reference numbers being billed and paid to their Company. I called again in May and now told it had to be submitted in writing the request for doing a duplicate payment on my appliances. I asked for a supervisor who told me this was the procedure and I explained why didn't the lady in March 2008 tell me this and I would have done it then. I was given a fax number to expedite my refund of my money. Upon receipt of the fax it would take an additional 4 to 6 weeks. No interest money would be due me for their cashing of both of my checks. It was my error but you would think it doesn't take this long to give a loyal customer their money back. At the beginning of July I called again. No success in getting my money. With a product as large as Whirlpool I would think a retired person could get their money faster and it may not be large to them but when you are on a fixed income. This hurts. Please help and thanks for listening.
non cooling
I have purchased new refrigerator and opted for an Sec & Pri GU- SYM NF27-Deluxe-72M Plan Code No. 1019600. This plan covers maintenance of the product so purchased valid up to 14.04.2012 and home care center telephone no. is given but the same does not exist today. Now we are in utter surprise where to complaint hence tried on google. A quick response shall be appreciated.
My Whirlpool refrigator-model no:WRX32RWH3puchasedon10/02/02b hadsome problem with the timer as the service center says. The fridge was taken to the service centre in Kottayam, Kerala on 13 th October 2008. So far no response from them. On enquiry they say that the spare part is unavailable. You may understand how much trouble we are having without the fridge. We have paid extra for the homecare plan. A quick response is appreciated
spare parts
I bought a whirlpool refrigerator model No WRN - C295/E from a duty free Shop at B.I.A International Air Port in March 2004. In April 2008, just after 3rd year of purchased, it has broken due to some circuit failure. Afterward it gave me a real headache when I'm looking for whirlpool spare part in Sri Lanka. Our (Sri Lanka) sole agent is "Singer Sri Lanka Ltd" and I am contentiously flowing with them since last 4 consecutive months, but unfortunately there response is limited to “we are waiting for spare parts from India". So I still do not know when these parts coming to Sri Lanka and If not I have to throw a way my fridge. If any body can help me to find above part please let me know in my email address - [protected]@yahoo.com...
I bought a whirlpool washing machine in 2012 from B. I. A duty free and motherboard found faulty after two and a half years. Looking for a motherboard for more than one year and still couldn't find. Dealers have been directing me to anothe dealer and another again and again but nobody knows where to loom.
I also face the same problem.
products die then customer service lousy
This is the second whirlpool product that has died within the warranty period. The first one was a washing machine that died only a few months after I bought it and now my water heater stopped working 3 days ago. What is worse I have been waiting on hold forever for Whirlpool customer service to tell me where my "free" replacement part (that I paid for next day shipping so I could take a hot shower) is. I am going on 30 min waiting on the phone right now and this is ridiculous. This will be my last Whirlpool product I buy ever. I would recommend that you stay away from them as well.
AND I WOULDN'T BE CALLING ANYONE STUPID, WHEN YOU CAN'T EVEN SPELL THE WORD THEIR CORRECT HABIB !
OKAY I WILL, BUT SHOULDN'T WHIRLPOOL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE INCOMPETENCE OF THE PEOPLE THAT THEY SUBBED THE WORK OUT TO ?
Wow, people are stupid. The Whirlpool water heaters aren't even made by Whirlpool, they're licensed by a company called American Water Heater, and yes thier customer service is in India. Where as Whirlpools customer service is in, Yakima, WA, Benton Harbor, MI, and Cleveland, TN. Please complain about the right company.
bad service
I purchased a Whirlpool Gold Conquest refrigerator in July 2004. A week ago the LED display and lights went out on the fridge side. After checking the refrigerator we found that the control panel had a huge burn mark on it and plastic case it was in had a burn mark. We looked up the part as we were going to order it. What we found was pretty scary. There were hundreds of people with the same exact problem on the same model refrigerator even down to the same burn spot on the board. We thought this had to be a defect in the board so we called Whirlpool customer service. We were told that because the refrigerator was out of warranty that they would not help us. We explained how there were hundreds of other people that had the same problem and that it is a fire hazard but they did not care. All we wanted was for them to replace the board about $70.00, they refused. We paid over $1800.00 for this refrigerator that barely made it to 4 years old. I find it very troubling that Whirlpool cares so little about their customers safety that they would not budge one bit to help us unless we paid for everything. Beware of this refrigerator IT IS A FIRE HAZARD! and whirlpool could care less.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
a & e repair service
Two years ago I bought a Calypso washing machine. Shortly after we brought it home the pump needed to be replaced. Four weeks ago the machine stopped working. We contacted A & E Repair Service through this website. We waited a week for a service tech. He was supposed to be here between 8 and 12 that day. At 12:30 I had to take my husband to the emergency room to get stitches. Fortunately it wasn't serious. I called A & E from the emergency room and was told that the repair tech was there at 12:50 and since I wasn't there we would have to reschedule. It didn't seem to matter to the call center that the tech was outside the appointed window. We finally did speak to the tech himself that day and he was able to come to our house that afternoon when we got home. The tech was fine and I had no problem with him, but the dispatcher was rude. The tech determined we needed a part on the control panel so we waited another almost two weeks for the part to get here. He came and installed the part and left and guess what? The washing machine was not repaired. We waited another week for another (tech who was fabulous) to come out and he determined the pump is broken. So now we have waited 6 days so far for the pump. We received a call on Thursday to schedule an appointment for Friday because the dispatcher said the ups tracking number indicated the part would be delivered Thursday. The part never showed up so we called A & E again and were told the tracking number indicated that ups would deliver the part on July 22. What happened to the first tracking number? We have found A & E dispatchers to be rude and surly every time we have spoken to them. They could not care less about good customer service the only thing they can say is that there is nothing they can do about anything. I grew up with the impression that Whirlpool was a brand I could trust. I was disappointed to learn about the decline in the quality of your products since I've been reading about the Calypso machine recently. Every time I miss work to wait for the tech I lose money. Every time I go to the laundry mat to wash my clothes I spend money I shouldn't have to spend. By now this debacle has cost just over $400.00 in lost wages and over 100.00 in laundry expense. Rest assured that I will never own another Whirlpool product or use A & E Repair Service.
Having exactly the same problem with this machine and dealing with A&E is a nightmare at best. Had repair done 5 weeks ago, machine broken again. Next repair man out today says not the motor which last guy changed but the pump has to be replaced and will be shipped to house and he'll be back in a week. So far I've been out of machine usage 2 weeks. What a scam!
You don't have vacation or personal time you can take? Ridiculous. Need to find a better job so you can do stuff like that when you have to.
horrible washing machines and support
I had bought a Whirlpool Sensation EX fully automatic washing machine an year back. Ever since I bought this machine, we have been having problems with the machine. The service call center gives commitment that the service personnel will visit in a day, but no one visits even after 5 days. Recently we had an issue and after repeated complaints a service personnel came after 7 days of complaint. He repaired something after which there was some smoke that came out of the machine and got completely burnt! We are covered under AMC, and no one from the company is responding to our calls to repair/replace the same. We are thoroughly disgusted with their support and are planning to go to the consumer court to take action against them.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Whirlpool just lies. Read the reports at consumeraffairs.com for these Whirlpool washers and dryers. One consumer after another reporting that they called Whirlpool to report the problem (same problem, over and over with all these people) and Whirlpool told each and every one of them that "this is the first we've heard of this problem, it is not a known issue." Except that every single one of these reports is from a different person, in a different part of the country, and they ALL called Whirlpool, and were ALL told the same thing. Ok, I guess one of them may have been the "first" caller when there really wasn't a known issue, but hundreds of them? Come on, Whirlpool, you didn't think people would post reports so that it would be really easy to figure out that this is a huge lie?
Whirlpool KNOWS they make bad machines, and from the reports, repairmen are telling consumers that they are doing this on purpose, so that the machines only last about a year or so (as long as the warranty) and then break forcing a new purchase, or else a repair that costs as much as a new purchase. Either way, they believe they will make money by making "disposable" appliances that break down quickly.
I hate this stupid thing
I am just so angry about this brand new $2000 plus combination oven and microwave I could just scream. I have never had occasion to replace one of these, so I had no idea the 'questions' to ask--but bet you would never think to ask this either. "Does the oven make noise while you cook?" No, one would never know to ask this--but now you know. There is a fan that runs the entire time you use this oven. NO, it is not a convection oven. It is a regular oven with what is known as "Accubake." As soon as you turn the oven on, on comes a fan. A fan which not only makes noise but blows hot air out of the top and out of the bottom of the oven. Lovely. After you turn off the oven, the fan continues to blow until the oven is completely cooled off. I am talking OVEN and not MICROWAVE. That I would expect to "hear" - but an oven? Never. I called Whirlpool the 2nd day after installation-they said this is normal and ALL wall ovens now do this. They all have fans. A 'safety feature' for idiots who have left their ovens on and warped their cabinets, etc. Be sure you do not buy a wall oven (or any oven maybe?) without having a demonstration first. Buyer BEWARE. This is one annoying design flaw if ever there was one and I am STUCK STUCK STUCK with what I call the "singing oven." I was forced to give up my other combin. one because the microwave died. I miss it every time I turn this stupid thing on.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Repairman came out---Found problem in approx. 10 min. Had to replace a 49.93 fan. and charged $183.00 labor. that took him about 10 min. to rplace
I bought a 6.5 KG Front Load Washing which is whirlpool Sensation Elite. Absolutely name does not replicate the functionality of the machine. I have spent Rs. 22000 on Jan 2007, within a month the machine has programming fault and display a door lock error after the pre-wash. Inspite of repeated complaints the technician could not solve the problem. I just managed to everytime reprogram it after pre-wash... wash... rinsing I used to do with hands and then program it for spinning. Then finally I got a replacement in the month of Nov 2007. The new machine had more problems... Door Lock Error, Loud Noise while spinning and my course of action for getting another machine started. This seems to be a never ending story. Later in the month of July 2008 I got a replacement of an upgraded version of the same machine Named PROFESSIONAL 6.5 Kg. Its just the model name change but the problems are still the same. On the day of installation itself the door was not fitting and digital display was throwing door lock error. So beware not to buy any product of Whirlpool and after sales service is least expected.

WE ORDERED TWO WATER FILTERS.3 WEEKS AGO. THEY CHARGED OUR CREDIT CARD AND WE DID NOT RECIEVE THEM .THEY SAY THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF .AN ORDER
Not only did the Whirlpool dishwasher totally break seven months after I moved in (it wasn't used in the two years my home was on the market before I bought it so it wasn't under warranty), but I have holes in my clothes from the magnificent Whirlpool washing machine. I use the Hand Wash cycle...and it beats them up. Thank you, Whirpool, for not one, but TWO terrible products.
We purchased a refrigerator -whirlpool model # g17fvcxxyy- in december of 2010...problem...ice cube container in door keeps on lumping up the cubes and makes it impossible to despense...We would NEVER recommend this style to anyone again, and the salesperson/store did not explain..this problem..we use a lot ice and are very disappointed in this product...we purchased this item at Loews in Kahalulu, HI
thank you

Whirlpool natural gas hot water heater..one word, junk
Service: two words, rude and useless
Feedback: I will never own another Whirlpool device, my previous water heater(Rheem) lasted 12 years with no problems.. This Whirlpool unit is less than 2 years old and is being replaced today..Warrany or no warranty I want it out of my house...
purchased an electric dryer LESS than 2 years ago, it now does NOT work AT ALL ... and whilpool wants ME to pay 125 to see what the problem is ... had a dryer NOT whirlpool, lasted 19 years .. and THIS whilpool purchased was NOT cheap .. guess china and mexico screwed this on up big time ! WILL NEVER RECOMEND OR PURCHASE AND WHILPOOL OR THEIR KNOCKOFFS AGAIN !
It runs about 50 percent of the the time and getting unbearable with the noise. Who needs this much noise when you are trying to relax and have a bite or talk with company and friends?
A kitchen is a gathering place in a lot of homes. Looks like I'll be shopping for another fridge. It will not be Whirlpool. What a waste of money.
One day after the original warranty expired, the washer did too. It made a sound similar to a garbage compactor. (1) The pump crashed. (2) The computer went "belley-up" !3) Thermostat fizzled. (4) Element burned out. (5) Basket deteriorated. (6) Repairman is now confused and is not sure WHAT the problem is now, (he will return at 3:00 for a re-evaluation.Will update you later. Stay tuned.

I completely agree, shortly after we bought new it was leaking from the door, it ruined our floors. Than the pump went out took forever for the service Co. to fix and the door still leaks to this day.
