I was hired by Western Express. Of course it was too good to be true. They put you in a ok hotel or motel. They put you right on I-65 in a Quality or Comfort Inn. All night you will hear the I-65 traffic. You are told, if you don't like it, too bad. Orientation is 6 days per week. They have 2 orientation classes running every day with 25 drivers in each class. Total of 50 drivers per day. You are too good to go to the corporate office where the main terminal is located. They have you go in this building where it use to be a garage for orientation. It is located next to a Pilot in the truck stop parking lot. They have you do this backing test and if you hit any of the cones you fail. They make it where you do fail. The recruiter lies to you about everything. They tell you what you want to know. After you are hired they then have you go over to the main terminal near a airport and you have to take 2 classes one for truck maintance and another for E Logs. Yes they are on E Logs. Everyone is on E Logs. They have good equipment to new equipment. I think the equipment stays new because the drivers are not in the trucks that long. Average time is about 1 month. 150% turn over. Their dispatchers are really dumb. They have a lot of dumb dispatchers that don't care about the drivers. If you call there, no answer. If you don't like how you are being treated, then you will either quit on your own or you will be forced to quit on your own. Also if you tell them your concerns they tell you that if you don't like it they will routed you to the nearest terminal to clear out your truck. Trying to get home is a complete JOKE. They do not like getting their drivers home. They hate it so much, that they will keep you away from your home area. If you get within a 20 mile area of your home it alerts them and they are then asking you why are you near your home. Average drivers have to stay out a min 2 to 3 months before they get you home. Then when you do get home you are only allowed to spend no more than 3 days home max. Again if you don't like it, you know where the door is. Miles is a joke also. They claim 2500 to 3000 miles a week. No one gets any miles. You get enough loads just to put enough money in your pocket. The so called bunk heaters don't work. They expect you to freeze in the truck during the winter and summer time, you are not allowed to run your truck, there is a timer that will cut your truck off at 5 mins. You also need to watch their shippers, they will over load you, so scale every load at a cat scale. If you go out of route even though they give you a route suggestion they will charge you $1.00 per mile. When the old man owned the business it was great. When he passed because of a heart attack last year, everything went down hill. They need to replace all the managers espically the Nashville Terminal Manager he is a joke. When he gets mad he takes everything out on everyone. He also goes to the gym everyday to work out because he has a mouth on him that someday it will get him in big trouble. Western Express does not respect their drivers at all. If you want to run for them, great. But if you want to get home weekly or weekends or every other weekend, forget it. These people are only wanting to make money. They don't care nothing about the drivers or their familys. They just flat out don't care. Also if you do have scheduled hometime, they will not route you home, when you go home, they will tell you that you went home without permission. Do you really want to work for a company who treats their drivers like this? I don't think so. Also Western Express DOT Ratings are so bad, they had their Pre Pass REVOKED. DOT will not let them by pass any scale houses. If they tell you they will get you through the house in the first couple of loads, that is a lie. They will make you stay out a month or so before they get you home. They you only have a couple of days, even though you earn 1 whole day for every week you are on the road. If you are a victim of Western Express please send mail to westernexpressscam at gmail.com They also charge you $2.50 per week for the use of the transflow system. They don't tell you they just deduct that out of your check. Also per diem is 100%. If you say no, you don't work there. They also charge you the first $500.00 on any accident or claim. There are so many screwed up things wrong with this company. They will pretty much hire anyone. This was only a FYI only.

Today we were headed home from Mississippi. At our exit Boutte/Houma we were in the left lane and a Western Express Truck was in the right lane already entering the exit. I noticed he was coming into our lane so I slowed down thinking he was moving to the left lane. No he moved straight across the lanes realizing this wasn't his exit and headed back to the 610. I had to go back to the interstate as well or else he would have killed us. Thank God we were okay. We had to go 30 miles out of our way to get back to our exit. Cab # 82108 license on trailer was 370809T .

On October 17th at 7:35 PM driver of truck cab number 23098 tried to run me off the road twice in a road aggression incident. I’m filing with the department of transportation in hopes of getting his license revoked.

They never answer phone calls it's a joke to get anyone on the phone in emergencies!

This place should be shut down with the amount of bad reviews on line that there is.

One of western express drivers that been off his training truck 3 days backed into my peterbilt

It's been over a year they still haven't paid my claim. I gave them a estimate done by a independent adjuster, 4k dashcam footage, eye witness information, repair bills, repair estimate from them damaged my radiator they still haven't paid.

Swerving in and out of lanes, no use of any turn signals when they did actually change lanes. Was around the Cedar City/St George area around 10:00am. Almost got into a crash by cutting someone off after changing lanes suddenly and not using a turn signal.

Truck semitrailer number: 300222

Truck tractor number: 23062

I am waiting to hear from Western Express re Incident #[protected]. I was instructed to send photos etc to claim department. All e-mail has been returned. What's with this? Their 18 wheeler destroyed property going down a one vehicle, private, deal end road. When I called I was advised this would be handled promptly after all information was submitted. However, they do not appear to be accepting the information I sent them. All my e-mail has been returned as their system is either shut down or not working.

I am a new hire with Western Express waiting on getting a driver trainer. Orientation was great and held at their Nashville, TN terminal. Orientation lasted 4 days for van and 7 days for flatbed. The people their great, informative, cared about things. Even the Vice president of the company came out and about to talk with us on and off and asked on things, and even said if had a problem with anything to let him know and he will make it right. Even the Safety department manager told us if a problem, to call him. Im happy with of came aboard to Western Express.
