Watch Repairs USA Repair on a Rolex Watch

I sent my Rolex watch to them for an overhaul. After spending $160. to insure the watch, they sent me an estimate back for over $1, 300.00 for repair and return postage. I had called and they said about $500.00 for repair. I had them send the watch back, and contacted Bergstrom Jewelers in St. Louis Park, Mn. and asked if they service Rolex Watches. He said yes. I took the watch into Bergstroms, and got it back looking like new with a same one year warranty. It cost me $430.00 for the repairs including tax.. DO NOT DEAL WITH WATCH REPAIRS USA AS THEY WILL TELL YOU ONE THING AND WHEN THEY RECEIVE THE WATCH THE ESTIMATE IS VERY MUCH OVERPRICED.

How Could They?

I sent them a Gucci Twirl watch bracelet only, as the dial had fallen out.
They said they sent the watch to the Gucci factory as they did not carry Gucci parts.
Several weeks later they sent a very detailed estimate of over $1500. to repair the watch ...which
included much more than was needed... I only needed the dial to be replaced. The watch sold originally
by Gucci for $950.00 and I had purchased it for about $700, so there "so called repair" would have been
more than double the cost of the watch. I can not understand how they could possibly think a customer would
accept such crazy and unfair treatment! I have not been able to contact them but hope that they still may
just replaced the missing part for a reasonable price...

Told 4-6 weeks. Took six months. Communication was terrible
I had to call IWC where they shipped the watch to learn it had been ready and they were waiting for payment from Watch Repairs which I paid six months earlier. When asked for a discount for the trouble, they offered me $50...then never gave it to me That was on a $4000+ repair!
Terrible service and I would NOT recommend anyone using them.

Watch Repair USA is not a legit site to trust with your valuable time pieces. I sent in a Tag that was under warranty and they did not honor warranty and wanted me to pay another $459 after Id already paid over $400 the first time and they said watch had other problems. They pop up in search results because they pay for the internet ads but don't be fooled like I was. They will take your money and leave you with a watch that doesn't work and more frustration than when you started.

I am sorry that I ever heard of Watch Repair USA in the first place. On their website, they seemed reputable, professional, and knowledgeable. Well, my experience tells me now otherwise. I wish I had checked the comments section of this operation before I put my faith and trust in them fixing my Sarcar watch. Nevermind the length of time it took to repair it, a lot longer than promised. Nevermind the cost, "reduced" down to $3, 000! Incredibly, the watch was received back with its hands fallen off?! Since there is warranty, Mr Carpentieri told me send it back, no problem. Obviously, it took some time longer for me to get it back. When received, the dial and the floating diamond on the surface were not clean?! How could a watch be assembled without checking meticulously for its cleanliness? Mr Carpentieri told me not to worry, it is under warranty for a year, ship it back, we'll look into it. I suggested a refund of some of the $3K I had paid, instead of the back and forth shipping, obviously without me being able to use the watch. I was refused. Can you believe it? Charging me $3, 000 and TWICE performing unacceptable repair and shipping practices, NOT to agree to my offer. I strongly recommend to anyone NOT TO USE the "services" of Watch Repair, USA. What a ripoff !

I had my Tag serviced/overhauled by them just over a year and a half ago. My watch started losing time and stopped a couple times about 2 months ago. I sent my watch back in and asked if they would take a look and adjust timing. I just received an estimate from them for $580 for another overhaul and seals and was told that my watch was dry inside. How could this happen if they did it right the first time. DON'T SEND YOUR watch to them as they are a bunch of crooks!

Terrible service, I would almost consider it a scam. They have had my money for 4 months and now they tell me the watch movement is in terrible shape. They are the only ones to open the watch back since I purchased it.

This company is a scam and I regret not doing my research before sending my watch to them. All I wanted was to have the crystal replaced on my watch, and instead I was quoted for $200 worth of repairs. I declined their estimate and requested only the crystal be replaced, and I was again notified that they needed to overhaul my entire watch to change the crystal. Unable to do my repairs, I had to pay them $12 to return my tiny watch.

I wen’t to local watch shop that did the work for under $20. Stay away.

Watch Repairs USA Watch repair

I sent my Tissot for a battery replacement using their free shipping UPS label, and got an email telling that they received it within a couple of days, and that they'll got back to me with an estimate within 5-10 working days... well, the estimate arrived in 10 working days (as in 2 weeks) and it was for $400 with items like "oiling", and service that are needed or necessary. I rejected the estimate and I asked for my watch back, they charged my card for shipping the same day I made the request, but didn't receive it until 3 weeks afterwards... so net, net, my watch was gone for 6-7 weeks, with me paying for the shipping back and I am back at square zero.

Watch Repairs USA Scam Artists - not performing repairs

Sent my Seiko watch in for repair. Received email of repairs totalling over $200. Proceeded with repair and received watch back only to find it wasn't repaired. Sent back under "warranty repair" and 6 weeks later received email that it was being shipped back to me. Sent email asking what was done to repair - no response. Receive watch back and opened box only to my dismay it wasn't working. Appears nothing was done to repair it. BEWARE - SCAM ARTISTS!

Watch Repairs USA Scam

Same experience as most of the complaints on here I'm afraid, i.e. their website looks legitimate with big name logos etc, you get an initial quote of around $40 to repair, so you send your watch to them, they say on further inspection your watch has to be sent back to the manufacturer, then weeks later you get a repair quote for $300 - $400 dollars, so of course you choose to have your watch returned, they charge you an extortionate return shipping fee (in my case $20) and then don't return your watch and don't reply to emails. Any advice from any legal eagles out there?

I sent my daughter's Haurex watch to Watch Repairs USA and when Adam Lampierti gave me the estimate for the repair it was more than what I paid for the watch! He then sent me a curt e-mail when I balked at the price. I hope I get the watch back. This guy is shady. Beware!

My estimate was $330 after advertisement said $30-$60 to replace the crystal. This is bait and switch. They are holding my watch hostage for $13.75 Sent numerous emails. Response they just keep resending the estimate.

I turned them in to the internet Fraud division and New York BBB.

Everyone needs to contact the attorney general in New York. Stop these thieves.

Watch Repairs USA Adam Carpentieri

Unprofessional owner with poor business practices.

I contacted the owner of WRUSA, Adam Carpentieri, before sending my watches in for repair. I specifically asked if he could order a replacement bezel from the watch manufacture. I stated that it would be pointless to send the watches in for repair if the bezel is not available. My exact words were "One of the repair requests is a replacement bezel for a ...Is Watch Repairs USA able to obtain the replacement bezel from the manufacture?" I could not have been more specific in my question. Adam's response "Yes we do have access to genuine factory parts."

I send my watch in for repair and Imagine my surprise when a repair estimate comes with the comment "Sorry, replacement bezels unavailable." I contacted WRUSA and requested that Adam call me. I received no phone call. I sent in an email demanding that my watches be returned. Only then did I receive an email from Adam stating "I said we have access to factory parts, but if they are unavailable from them, then we cannot get something that does not exist."

I contacted the manufacture of the watch. They stated that the part is available, but only to authorized repair centers, of which Watch Repairs USA is not. Meaning that Adam completely lied in the reply to my question. Whether he checked on the exact part or he was talking about this specific manufacture as a whole, his statement was a complete lie.

USPS Priority shipping with full insurance was $12. Watch Repairs USA is now requesting $53 to return my watches.

Summary: I asked WRUSA if the had access to a replacement part, they lied and said yes. I sent my watch in for repair, then they changed their story and denied answering my question. I have now wasted $65 dollars because of their unprofessional lies and questionable business practices.

I've experienced @ Helzberg Diamonds; harassment & discrimination: The District Manger turns a blind eye to whatever happens, and allows the store manager to mistreat customers and new employees. His staff are a group of unprofessional & incompetent people, who really don't know anything about the jewelry Business, except for how to lie to customers, stab co-workers in the back, and be rude to customers who complain about Helzberg's lousy customer service. I wouldn't buy any jewelry from those clowns. They harass & mistreat fellow associates, who are better jewelry salesmen than they are. Helzberg (Augusta Mall) often violate their own business policies.

Watch Repairs USA Poor business practices

Mistakenly sent in a $100 fossil watch to them for a battery. I was misled by their website because when I searched fossil watch repairs they came up and they use the factory "authorized" logo that Fossil actually uses on their website. So I thought it was all good and being sent to the right place... I was told that battery did not fix the watch and then they gave me an estimate of $86 and a new exact same watch can be had for $92 with free shipping online. I looked into it further and my watch has a 11 year warranty so it can and will be fixed for $18.50 with a new battery and shipping included at Fossil. My issues with them are that they more than likely have not gained permission to use that logo and when I requested and filled out the shipping/billing info I put the fossil repair center as the ship to address and now they are sending it back to me. I am lucky to only be out $20 in shipping fees in dealing with this company but they are a very shady business. I have filed a BBB complaint against them and have noticed that they have a D+ rating with the BBB they get an F in my book! Find somewhere local to you that you can take your stuff to and if you are in NY don't go there! I hope they go out of business. S

They replied yes it was received but the envelope was torn and there was no watch inside.I told them I was filing a complaint with the Attorney General and Consumer Complaints Division in New York and received what can only be construed as a threatening note saying it would be better if I did not. Watch Repairs USA Lost my watch

I sent my pulsar for a crystal replacement. They had my watch for 4 months, I went through their website and told them to send back the watch and my money for repairs. I kept getting "it's almost done". During 3 of my website contacts I told them that I had a new address. They didn't read my information and sent the watch to a old address were it was stolen. Now they refuse to replace the watch. DON'T USE this piss poor service company. They have no customer service, the worst repair service I've ever encountered.

Watch Repairs USA Poor Work

Another who wished she had read your board before I sent them my watch. Got my vintage Mickey Mouse watch back, after $300--thank you very much, still dirty and even though the crystal was replaced, the back panel is now so damaged that it must be glued to stay on. They HAD to have noticed this before shipping it back to me. The back simply falls off with the interior with right along with it!. Because of the sentimental value, I am not letting it go back to these 'yahoos' to touch again. I wanted to pass it on to my daughter for Christmas, what a bummer!

Watch Repairs USA Watch not sent back to me

Late last year I sent my rare Fossil watch to watch repairs usa to have a new stem installed, a few weeks later they emailed me to say they could'nt repair the watch and that they would offer me a new Fossil watch for an extra $41.00. Itold them that I would just decline the repair and paid them 11.95 on Feb.8, 2011 to send my watch back to me. It's now Sept.1, 2011 and I still have'nt recieved my watch. I've tried emailing them repeatedly but they never reply. What other options do I have open to me?

I don't understand. Why would you send your watch to them? Don't you know that Fossil has it's own repair facility? This company definitely did you a great disservice. I've owned my Fossil watch for years and recently sent it off to Fossil. They replaced nearly every part on it. It looks brand new and it only cost me about $30. Next time don't trust some jeweler or website to repair your product. Go back to the people that manufactured it. If they use a third party service center then I would check the complaint boards online before you send it in. Fossil owns their repair center although they call it by some other name -- metro watch repairs or metro repair center-- can't remember. But I called their customer service and was assured they were one in the same. Apparently Fossil also manufactures other brands or something so it confuses those other customers when they have to send their times or whatever brand it is that they also service to Fossil. That's why they renamed the repair center. I was concerned at first that they used a third party. I hope you got your watch back and I'll be sure to never go to this place you spoke of to get my watches fixed!

This watch was shipped on Jan 12th. The package can be tracked at http://www.watchrepairsusa.com/tracking.php?id=1Z88Y14W0399263426

Watch Repairs USA Do not use these people as all they are after is your watch and your money

I saw they offered what looked like a good deal on a watch repair so I e-mailed them first and was told the repair I needed was "typically" in the $30 range so I sent them my watch. Estimate came back at over $300! Atfer saying I only needed the repair of the pusher versus the "overhaul" they reduced the price $20 as a courtesy and still over $300. Said to send the watch back and cost me $18.89. I agree with above commenst, they want your watch and if they get to do the repair they are charging an excessive amount. If nt they will ship it back to you and make money that way! Shipping charges are outrageous as a watch could ship USPS in a falt rate box for $5. Do not use these people as all they are after is your watch and your money.

Watch Repairs USA Scam Artists

My Seiko watch was working just find until I got a small crack in the crystal. The crack got bigger and the watch stopped. I found this place and mailed my watch to them They emailed me that the watch was not working after they had put a new battery in and said the watch needed repairs in the amount of about $160 to repair. I refused the repairs and requested they send the watch back. The watch was sent back. I took to a local jeweler and they replaced the crystal and the watch works fine. This place is a ripoff - I wish I had seen all of these complaints before I sent the watch.

I sent in my Jacques Lemans for repair - bad idea. The estimate was 3-4 times what it should be, 240 dollars. It uses s Ronda 5040.D, which can be purchased for less than 50 dollars. The comments from this Adam guy indicated that there was impact damage. If there was impact damage, they likely did it. The watch I sent to them was very seldom used, and was in very good condition. Luckily I have many watches, so it doesn't bother me too much that they/he tried to rip me off. I hope others will check all the bad comments about this company, and pay heed, before sending a watch to them. If they sell watches and jewelry, I would say Buyer Beware!

A bait and switch operation. Upon contacting them, they will tell you that the repair will run anywhere from $50 to $150 dollars. After shipping the item, the estimate comes back at around $500. This is obviously the MO of this business as many other folks here seem to have the exact same complaint. I will be happy to get a group together to sue these people. If anyone on this board wants to expose these CON ARTISTS, I'll be happy to add my energy to the effort. Meanhwile the better business bureau will be getting a notice from me as well. I agree 100%! I have had issues with this company as well, I was misled that they were a factory service center. Now that I know that they are a shady enterprise I hope that they will go out of business. If that owner spent as much time at his business rather that disputing posts on a forum he might have a reputable company.

Watch Repairs USA Fraud

January 3rd I shipped a diamond Lucien Piccard ladies watch into WatchRepairsUSA. After 2 months of their "service" and numerous e-mails I received a watch that can be bought on e-bay for $63, a watch that has no diamonds whatsoever. I consider them professional crooks because when I sent my watch into them I included the original box which contained all the warranty information as well as the certificate of authenticity and even the original sales receipt. I guess that because they received all this they felt that they could just send me back a completely different watch and I would have no proof. This is a shady company that specializes in scamming people.

Just want to warn as many people as possible about the way this company does buisness. I sent a watch to them and used the shipping that was provided by their web site. The shipping company said the watch would be there in two days. One week later I find that they still dont have my watch. I call them, and I am told that it is lost and that it happens two to three times a month and quoted to me that 50% of the time you dont get your watch back. Not only were they very uncaring they said that if the watch was lost that would not be their problem. Two weeks later the watch shows up after I find out that it sat in the ups shipping plant the whole time in a town called unoin, N.Y. that is were they put shippments to be delivered on the truck to deliver to Rockville centre, N.Y.. Then they dont contact me for another 10days so I call and I am told that they get 75 watches a day and I am rudely blown off again. I had originally told them that this watch was a seiko kinetic that sat for years and was only worn a few times and seiko corp. stated that if they are not wore often the lithium battery goes bad and would have to be replaced. "Watchrepairsusa" stated that a battery replacement was $20.00 and I was ok with that fee. Then they hold the watch another week with no contact so I call and the lady goes back and checks on watch while i am on hold and returns to say we are sending you a estimate email. I check e-mail and they tell me I have to pay $174.00 to overhaul and refuse to just put a battery in it. I tell them to send me my watch back and pay they the $8.00 charge and they keep the watch 2 more weeks. I call and they say the watch has to pressure tested and blow me off again. Finally a week later the watch gets shipped back and is only partially put back together. At this time I have to pay the local jewler to repair what they broke.{band}. I call seiko and I am told that they have done this to many people and they are not certified seiko repairers and the part about pressure test is a lie. I google the battery and buy it for $19.95 plus two dollars shipping. Then I buy a $8.00 dollar watch repair kit on amazon.com. After installing the battery myself the watch works like new. What they put me thru and many more people too is the sign of a company that wont be around for a long time. If I had checked them out first and read the many complaints that are on google, I would have never used their services. This company is far from being a proffestional buisness and I suggest you DO NOT do buisness with them. Hope I help someone from making the same mistake.BEWARE!

My Seiko watch quite working /dead battery. After replacing battery the watch did not start running. So I removed the band made a small mark on the cover + back. Sent it off to Watch Repair USA "Free Estimate" Let me point out that my regular jeweler has retired and in the past the repair for this type watch is normally $35.00-$40.00 I knew this going in. Well I put $200.00 insurance on the watch and the shipping charge was only $4.48 A couple weeks later I got their estimate a ridicules amount of $188.79. Well they also said I had to pay the return shipping again 3 x the normal cost at $13.81 (Un-insured also). I got my watch back today and guess what the alignment mark I put on the back are dead-on! They never even opened my watch at all! I tried to scan the back for all to see but the marks were not viable on screen. Anyhow BEWARE THESE ARE CON ARTIST ! SO *WATCH* OUT.

Watch Repairs USA Watch &Repair&

I sent my watch to Watch Repairs USA for a new battery and to have the band repaired. They responded saying that it also needed a rubber ring, all of which I approved when they sent me the estimate. The watch was returned with those items completed but it now has mechanical issues... The minute hand is loose and the stem is bent and has friction when attempting to set the time. Their "customer service" department did not respond to my emails about it. I returned the watch to them and finally got a response from their impressive automatic emails about the status of the process. I received an estimate for this work and responded back that I should not have to pay for these repairs since these were not malfunctioning when I sent it originally. (And if these problems did exist when they initially examined it, why didn't they inform me that this work was needed as they did about the rubber ring?)

I received an email back from them today that had a very negative tone saying that I am responsible for the cost of repairs. I responded back to say that I will contact a manager there and to further express my dissatisfaction. They reponded with yet another condescending email, much ruder than the first.

And they call themselves "Customer CARE"?

The first time I sent my watch to them, it was because a local jeweler cracked the ceramic back of my Rado watch. Watch Repairs USA replaced it with an unmarked replacement for $400 and shipping.
This year my watch battery ran down and so I sent it back. I got a quote to "fix" my watch that only needed a battery for $370. They countered with $345 when I complained.
I asked it to be sent back unrepaired (I would put in my own battery) and it came back, BUT it had a different back and 4 corroded screws when I opened the package. The blank back had been replaced with an engraved one (unless it was just someone else's watch case). In addition they had significantly chipped the inside of my ceramic band.
My calls for some adjustment were repeatedly answered with denials, claiming there was not another Rado in shop when mine was there.
My $1, 700 watch plus over $400 in previous repairs plus $65 in shipping were turned into scrap by Watch Repairs USA.
I would suggest not to use them as no amount of evidence will make a difference, but you should take detailed pictures of your watch to make sure that you get (all) of your own watch back.

Watch Repairs USA Buyer Beware

Unprofessional...and misleading. Dont be fooled by the FREE SHIPPING. Buried in their terms and conditions is a tiny clause about paying the return shipping (which will run you $30 plus dollars depending on insurance). Is it a scam?...no. But by design this company is not as transparent as it should be compared to reputable e-commerce shops. My advice is to avoid, support your local economy and just go to a reputable jewelry shop for better service and probably lower overall costs.

Much agreed with this complaint... This company is to be avoided by all means... Adam is a scam artist and defrauder at the best. He avoids all instruction and this tells me this company is a scam... Buyer Beware of this one... Thank Goodness I did not send my Panerai to him and get caught up in the mess many people are experiencing now...Ron

Watch Repairs USA scam on a watch repair

just want to warn people about the buisness and lies they tell everybody.I sent a watch to them and used their shipping.Right away the the watch came up missing at the ups plant in the town where they are located. When i asked how often this happens they said 2-3 times a month, and 50% of the time you dont get it back.2weeks later the watch showed up and then it sat for another two weeks.Finely after a lot of calls they gave me a estimate for a complete overhaul.I told the that this seiko watch was never worn and i wanted just a battery as these watches have to be worn every day or the lithium battery will go bad. They told me it would me $174.00 to fix and i told them to send it back and payed the $8.00 shipping fee that they told right away. Then they kept the watch for another 2 weeks and when i asked why they said they had not the time to get back to it and it had to have a pressure test. This i found out from seiko was another lie. When I finally got the watch it was only partially put back together and the jewlers in town had to fix what the broke.I bought a battery on the internet and a watch tool kit and fix it myself. Please understand that i was totally unaware of all the complaints on this scadilous company or i would have never used this company.hope this will keep the next victom safe

They took 5 months to tell me my watch couldn't be fixed. Had to call the local police to get it back. They charged me shipping to get it back. A scam outfit!

Watch Repairs USA Watch repair

These guys took my citizen watch and I had them repair the band and replace the crystal. The band is still in great shape but the calculator ring around the crystal was falling off when I got the watch back, so I sent it back again, this time, the calculator ring was not aligned correctly but instead of paying to ship my watch to New York and back a 3rd time, I decided to live without the full operation of my watch but today the crystal fell out. I have experienced a great deal of difficulty reaching this company by phone or e-mail in the past but I am trying again so they might rectify this poor watch repair. More to follow.

Watch Repairs USA UNresponsive

Unbelievable process. sent my watch in april with full payment. repair number 4948. After much complaining watch returned in August with none of the repairs performed; no tune up, no bezel, no new band; no refund. Complained to cutomer service and they told to send watch back as it was an oversight. they received my watch 9/1/09. It is now 10/26/09. I was issued a warranty numer; 10709. When you look up repair status on the website it says; "We have received your watch as of September 1, 2009. You should be receiving an estimate shortly after one of our watchmakers takes a look at your watch."

People needing watch repairs beware. it is 7 months and watch repirs usa has nothing to say for themselves. how long could a part take to get?

Stick to a store you can walk into because in this case the convenience of the internet is just not there.

Watch Repairs USA I sent in Elgin Pocket Watch for repairs last February. Was initially charged $79.99 with a follow up charge to repair the watch of $518.89 they subsequently returned the watch four times without repairing it. They continued to lie to me about the status of the watch. I have called American Express to update them on the fraudulent nature of this so called business. Do not do business with them;

Watch Repairs USA Took my watch and money and have not returned it

I sent them my Seiko watch for repair and paid $140 for it in September with the promise that it would be sent back in 2 to 3 weeks. It is now December 17th and they will not answer my e-mails or answer their phone. I think this might be a scam.

They have my Accutron Watch and $380.11 of my money for a watch that was sent to them on Aug 9, 2010.
It is now Nov 3o, 2010 and I am still trying to get them to send my watch back. I am in the process of notifyng American Express and my Insurance Company. The watch was valued at over $2000 even by their one email response which I received only after multiple telephone and email attempts to get a response. I add my name to the long list of people who have been scammed by this disreputable outfit.

I had a GREAT watch and ended up with no watch after this company repaired it. All it started out needing was a new crystal. After I got it back it got condensation under the "new" crystal. They blamed me saying I left the stem open while I was showering. I never touched the "stem". Anyway..they then said it had internal damage and would have to have the whole inside overhauled to the tune of $178. All of this and several months without my watch. Thankfully I insisted they send the watch back to me so at least they didn't end up keeping it. Lousy company.

Doug,

I have on record that this watch was in fact shipped back to you. This repair was quite complex and your watch was indeed a "lemon" which needed to be continually re-adjusted before we could send it out in good working order. We would appreciate if you rescinded this comment because we most certainly are not a scam. Thank you!
