Totally agree with you! Sad this was posted over 6 months ago and nothing has changed! The store is filthy and the people that work there are so over-worked they can't do their jobs properly. Instead of fixing issues and better training, they say they can't do anything about it or have no way to hold anyone accountable. I think they need to adjust the chain of command, duties for each manager and get back to basics of training employees.

WOW...Well said!
Especially on the whole grocery side. I see all the low-paid, hard working salesfloor workers, overly working themselves as their boss's walk around with a clip board and and ordering device in their hand giving orders rather than to jump in and help them fill those empty shelves.

Walmart avoid this store like a plague

On the above date my daughter and I appeared at store #8090 in orlando florida like we did for the past 21/2 years, my daughter is handicap and can not walk two steps and she depends on the electric power carts to shop. We were told that the electric carts could not be taking out of the store because IRON REFORCE BARS WERE INSTALLED ON THEM SO THEY COULD NOT BE TAKEN OUT OF THE STORE, I was able to get one out anyway. After an hour of shopping my daughter had to go to the ladies room, knowing that the power chairs could not make the turn into the ladies room by customer services, I had taken her to the ladies room in back of the store next to layaway, when we try to go thru the doorway the iron bar was higher then the doorway opening so I bent it to get my daughter to the toilet on time, I was yelled at by a heavy set girl who said I cant bend the rod and was told she will call the manger. A older lady named Stephanie came out from the back room yelling that I could not take the into that handy cap bathroom I ask her what restroom are the handicap to use, she said the one up by customer service, at that time I told her that the power carts could not make the turn. To my surprise nasty she replied "that the power carts are a supplied by Wa l- Mart as a Courtesy" as she was walking from me and saying repeatedly "I cant hear you".

If you think Wal-mart cares you are wrong. I worked at the home office for 1 1/2 years. Wal-mart is interested in MONEY and only MONEY.

Walmart clueless people

I bought a few things there and used my debit card. swiped and requested $100 cash back. Transaction completed and then the stupid girl said she couldn't give me $100 because she didn't have that much in the drawer. That was it! She had no intention of giving me MY money after they debited it out of the bank. Not only that, when I asked for a manager, she told me "the manager doesn't have time" Since I obviously needed to cause a scene, The manager finally came over and explained to the dumb girl that she had to give me the money. This girl needs to go back to kindergarten.

7-11 would be a convenience store...wawa is a convenience store...circle k is a convenience store. walmart is NOT A CONVENIENCE STORE...its a market...genius. and if you look to the opposite of the cash registers you might find a bank inside the wal-mart. you can use the atm there...genius...but yeah you did the cash back option and they are most certainly obligated to get you your money.

Walmart was rudely told that I could not enter with my book bag

Today I was at the Hickory, NC WM and was rudly told that I coult, nt enter with my bookbag.I asked why and was told for security reasons.I respond with "what about people with purses/baby bags/brief cases" etc. and was told that was different.I then asked where to put my bag until I left and was told to put it behind a walmart sign that had dirt there from where someone had sweept.I then ask to see the manager for at least a reciept before I left my bag there incase it got stolen since they did not offer a secure area or anything to store it in.The manager came and locked it in a room near the entrance and said to have someone call him when I left to get it back.I then ask him about "why no bookbag" and was given that a bookbag could conceal a weapon.I again ask about people with other types of bags.I was ignored and exspressed my anger at being discrimanated at like this. The manager was J.T. Calhourn at the hickory, nc store.I am very unhappy about this and will persue it further especially since when I left I observed other people in the store with book bags and other types bags.

Walmart the sound just quit working on it

I purchased what I consider an expensive radar detector ($93.57)from Wal-Mart, less than a year ago. It was a Cobra XRS 747, now that it doesnt work anymore they will not let me exchange it for another one. I have my receipt. Its not like I want a newer updated version of it, the sound just quit working on it, and I know that their policy is 90 days with a receipt, but I worked there for 3 years...I have seen managers totally disregard the policy for certain customers. I am a customer just like anyone else... I should be entitled to the same treatment.

Walmart they are not following their posted return policy

Today I tried to return a car code reader to Walmart in Germantown, MD.

At the returns department, Eboni interrogated me, which included asking whether I've used the car code reader.

I replied that I've tried it once. Looking just like new, the car code reader's neatly in its original packagings, along with everything that came with it.

Eboni arrived at the conclusion that I used it (and she would later repeatedly stress and emphasize that it's USED) and therefore she could only give me an exchange or store credit.

She claimed that the posted return policy said that a return merchandise must be unopened and unused for a refund.

She also implied that she's correct, saying that she's been working at Walmart for 11 years.

My friend and I asked her to tell us where in the posted policies that said what she claimed but she just repeated that it's in the policies posted.

We then proceeded to read the entire return policy posted with all the exceptions and confirmed that nowhere in the policies stated that the return merchandise must be unopened and unused except that 'prerecorded music, movies, and software products must be returned unopened.'

I guess in all the 11 years she had worked at Walmart processing returns, not once had she spent 5 minutes to read the posted return policy.

We told her that her claim was contradictory to the posted return policy but she didn't change her mind. Nor did she at least try to read the posted policy to prove us wrong.

Eboni recruited 3 more Walmart employees to get involved - 4 people against 2. If my friend weren't there with me, 4 against 1.

We again pointed out what the posted policy said. In response, we were provided with several unreasonable answers:

1. 'The said policy is in the internal written procedures.'

My friend and I were handed some printed papers that supposedly contained their claim.

It's unreasonable because there should not be additional exceptions to the posted policy in the store unbeknowst to the customers.

2. 'The said policy is spelled out on the website.'

Firstly, I bought the item from the Walmart store, not online at Walmart.com.

Secondly, the said policy cannot be found in the Walmart store (vs. Walmart.com) return policy online.

http://walmartstores.com/7658.aspx

Thirdly, http://www.walmart.com/cp/Returns-Policy/538459#37441 is Walmart.com return policy, not Walmart store return policy.

Fourthly, even Walmart.com's 'Return Guidelines by Department' do not include any policy exception for car code readers.

3. 'There are different return policies for different departments.'

All return policies, including policies specific to different departments, should have been posted in the store.

4. 'We can't post all return policies in the store.'

Why not?

5. 'If merchandise could be used and returned for a refund, then everyone would be doing it.'

It's about what the posted policy allowed. Possible ramifications of the posted policy were irrelevant.

After spending a lot of time and efforts, a refund was eventually granted.

Walmart work ethics

My wife used to work at Walmart and I can tell you that it is a terrible place to work. A deli associate was let go because she was unable to work because she was sick. She had seen a doctor and discovered that she had pneumonia. Walmart fired her for calling in sick, even though she had a note from a doctor. Another deli associate was let go because her husband had kidnapped their child and she was told by police to go to the station. She recovered the child but lost her job because she had to leave work. Walmart no longer hires full-time workers and are inventing reasons to get rid of the full-time workers that they have to save money on employee benefits. They also show anti-union video to new employees. There are no Walmart stores in New York because businesses are required to be union affiliated. Our daughter worked at a Walmart in Illinois when Obama was running for president. Walmart employees were being urged not to vote for Obama because he would raise minimum wage. Walmart is at the top of my s...list and should be run out of any town or city that they reside. My wife left Walmart to work for a company that is union, has a code of conduct that is required to be followed by all that includes honesty, integrity and work ethic, the basis of their core values. Walmart is all about their bottom line and they don't care how they get it. They should be very ashamed of the company. I want them to change how they operate their company. I need assistance to do this by having the ability to show how unhappy people are with them. If you have a complaint, or even a compliment, E-mail it to [protected]@yahoo.com and help me make a difference.

What kills me is the same company that buys from sweatshops in order to undersell everyone else turns around and pretends to be altruistic. You can be a part of the Walmart program only as long as you espouse their code in thought, word, and deed. For instance, if you win their hundred thousand dollar Walmart education grant, do you think you will remain the same person? No! It turns you into a fascist pet pig; all that hard grubbing translates into stinginess when it comes to valuing student researchers; you become a paragon of the Walmart philosophy particularly where it comes to chinese slave labor. That grantee wouldn't offer me any kind of reimbursement for attending conferences on my own nickel, or purchasing educational materials, or even offer a gift certificate. That's what you call stingy. And controlling. And manipulative. Not to mention hidden agendas.

Walmart cashier treated my family and I like crap...!!

My family and i went to walmart yesterday [protected]) to get food and some needed items for our household... If i might add its a hassle with 3 kids ages 7...3...20 months, when we were all done i went o checkout lane TE#23 OP#[protected] TR# 06425 she did not even acknowledge me, i even watched her with the customer ahead of me, she was not pleasant did not even smile say hello or hi didn't look up to greet in any way... When it was my turn i thought well it is late and maybe its been a long day for her as it was 9:33pm so i let it go, i said hello and asked her how her day has been, she ignored me and then snarled at my baby cause he was leaning over to touch the bag racks... i told her i am so sorry! again she ignored me, i was looking right at her and she looked at me (so, she heard me) i smacked my sons hand and told no... as my husband was putting bags in the basket my son again touched the rack and i noticed her face when he did, it was anything but nice there was hatred pissed off, i then saw her swing the rack around while his hand was on it, one of the metal loops caught his finger and he said "it hurts" i passed it off as an accident i was trying not to make a seen cause all my kids were tired and hungry (just wanted to hurry and leave) well the grand total came i first swiped my FS card which does not seem to work it has to be typed in... when i gave it to her i said i'm sorry, she snarled and grunted while typing it in... then i needed to pay for my non-food items, well to my surprise i did not have enough money... as my husband has been out of work cause he dislocated his left AC joint in his shoulder and his neck is messed up... i'm sorry i mis-counted, so i had to put back a few items, everyone has to do it from time to time... But, she treated me like i was crap looking at me like i was stupid for not thinking her face said it all... i am very very unhappy with my visit to walmart and hope something can be done with her...Please! i am not poor but she sure made me feel like i was dirt... i will be going to Jerry Smith, if nothing is done then i'll go above him... thank you
sincerely a customer

Walmart the produce department is extremely sloppy and very poor quality items

I have shopped in the Super Walmart in Mt. Dora, Fl for quite a long time. I have decided not to shop there anymore because of a number of reasons. The store is filthy, out of stock items remain out of stock for weeks on end. Management always has an excuse why. The produce department is extremely sloppy and very poor quality items. If I can't find something, it's always hard to find someone to help me.

It's obvious also because the people who shop there have changed over the years also. Even the parking area is dirty and ill kept.

Buyers beware.

Customer service group and store manager at Walmart Seabrook, NH are not consumer friendly and would give the customer hard time to return an item.

They give the customer a hard time returning an item (USB external hard drive) that was purchased from Walmart.com. They keep you waiting while they find the store manager, then refuse to accept their own walmart product, which is being returned in less than 30 days.

I wonder if anyone from Walmart Headquarters read these review, follow up and respond.

Walmart never have all medication to refill perscriptions

I usually call in my 84 year old father's perscriptions in at walmart, seabrook, nh.He doesn't drive anymore and every month when I go to pick up the perscriptions, they never have all of the medications! I work six days a week, my sister is disabled and tries to help, by picking the order for me, but the store never has all of the medication in stock. I realize that other people might take the same meds, but who ever is doing the inventory for the pharmacy is very inadequate at their job. This has gone on for about four years.WHY?

What RestlessHeart said. Also, I work in a pharmacy, and when we're out of a medication, it's usually because it's one that not many people are taking. If we only have one or two patients on a particular med, we don't keep a boatload of it in stock.

Try calling a FEW DAYS ahead so they have time to order them for you. At my store, we can order meds and have them the next day.

Walmart how long does it take to get hired at walmart

How long does it take to get hired at walmart I have applied numerous times on line often by changing my password to reapply. I had 3 excellent years eperience in the retail field working at a Sears store and feel well qualified. I am over 55 and need a job to pay for bills, rent, food, but when I go into wal mart I often see most of the cashier jobs are given to young kids who probably don't need the money as much as I do. Also they hire mainly women. I am a male over 55.

you will get hired, then you will get fired. I worked at store 3487 in shelby township MI for two yrs. the management repeatedly puts you down yells at u . Or they will talk to you inappropriatley. Then if they see that you have any balls to stand up for yourself they will fire you. people who work there are so mean because they get treated like ### everyday. They fired 7 people after me. One reason was for giving another employee a dirty look and i know its true because I saw the termintion papers. An assistant manager told me himself that when he went to Wal-mart university (LOL) for training that they teach u to lie to associates. Another assistant manager told us that we could not pee on our way out to the floor from our meeting and that we had to wait for break, we asked the store manager in front of him, the store manager said that was not true, and he completely denied ever saying it. That business is a joke and even the co-managers are a joke. My only advice is work somewhere else anywhere dont waste your time. I am in the process of talking to a lawyer and I know at least three others r too

Walmart batery core refund

Took back a ATV battery - With receipt, detailing the $9.00 core fee, which was credited to me at the time of purchase. I paid $26.00 for the battery with the $9.00 core fee totaling $35.00. When I returned the battery, with receipt - All walmart would refund is $26.00. Walmart did not have a replacement battery in stock. I tried to explain to clerk - then Manager that when I return to purchase another battery what will you charge me? They said $26.00 plus 9.00 core charge. I said but I already provided you the core with this previous purchase. Why will you not refund me the $9.00 core fee? You will charge me again? It is listed on the receipt at time of refund. They did not get it. I guess it was too difficult to understand. I tried to explain, again all they would refund is the battery - not the core charge. I guess I will have to make my next purchase at an auto parts store.

I had a similar incidence in the WAL-MART in Mililani, Hawaii today. I was looking for if others had the same BS from customer service at Wal-Mart. I first bought an 5 year warranty MAXX Everstart battery about 6 years ago which only lasted 3 years. I took that battery back to Wal-Mart and had to argue to get the pro rated difference for the remaining 2 years. They finally did tell me that I can can another of the same battery and they'll credit me for the 2 years. I agreed go the replacement battery minus the pro rated 2 year credit. Now fast forward 3 years from that day and my car battery dies out on me today. This is a 5 year battery I'm talking about that only last about 3 years. I removed it from my car and took to to the same Wal-Mart I bought it from Mililani Wal-Mart in Hawaii. The customer service lady acted rude and said if I bought Wal-Mart batteries before which I answered yes. She ran a diagnostic test with some kind for device that prints out if the battery is good or not. The women said this may take 5 minutes and sometime could take an hour. Glad my readout come out in about 2 minutes. It read battery needs to be replaced. I asked if they could pro rate the 2 years that I didn't get with this 5 year battery. The stupid answer I got was that I already used my pro rate or receive a new battery on the last battery I bought. I told her, I didn't receive any new battery the last time an they only pro rated the 2 years. Then she says, I already used my 2 years pro rate on my last battery and can use it again. I told her the last battery lasted only 3 years and this one lasted only 3 years also and I should be able to receive a 2 year pro rate credit for the new battery. The CS women said I can only get a core charge credit and no 2 years proration credit since I used it on the first time. She's such an idiot. I didn't want to waste anymore energy and just said screw this and I'm going to NAPA. I took my old battery back N drove to NAPA also in Mililani Hawaii. The sales guy there took my Wal-Mart battery and gave me a core change deduction. Also he told me there was a special if I buy a $1 NAPA bag I could get $20 discount off too. I ended up getting a 6 year warranty battery for less than $100. He said if the battery last only 3 years they will pro rate the 3 years difference and the new 6 years warranty starts the day I buy the new replacement. This can go on for every battery even if it's a replacement. The NAPA salesman said that this is normal and couldn't understand why Wal-Mart would do otherwise. He said that the Wal-Mart CS person probably wasn't trained right of know what they are doing. I totally and sometimes it's better to walk away from stupid untrained people than to waste time and energy to teach them the basics. I will be telling all my friends and neighbors don't get caught into Wal-Mart's car battery scam or deal with their Customer Service for any car battery warranty. I wonder if corporate office have a. complaint hotline? I use to like shopping at Wal-Mart but not have a bad battery taste in my mouth when I enter that store. I URGE Everyone to NOT BUY CAR BATTERY from Wal-Mart. It doesn't last and you will only be credited once and you'll stuck in their scam after that..Shaking my head.

That is very unfortunate.. I work at a Walmart Service Desk and the Customer service Rep should have refunded the whole amount of the recept, including the core charge and state fee.. If this happens again, ask for a Customer Service Manager, if you do not get the correct response ask for a Store Manager. You sound like an smart person and you can read your recept.. You know you will be charged that charge when you buy a new battery. It seems pretty elementary.. I'm sorry for your poor customer service...

Walmart I was charged twice for one product

On 9/5/09, I purchased items at WalMart located at 1725 New Hope Church Rd., Raleigh, NC. Upon reaching home it was discovered that I was charged twice for one product (overcharge was $2.68). I did not return to WalMart until 9/8/09 to resolve the overcharge but was advised by their customer service department that "unless the overcharge was resolved on the "date of purchase" the money could not be returned. Their store nor webisite has any company policies posted, regarding overcharges.

Walmart what a bunch of sorry professionals

I took my prescription in and was told it would be about 30 to 40 minutes, so i shopped around for 30 min and went to go pick it up. I was told they did not have my meds in stock. Whoa! I was told that it might not be in till the following week if it did not come in the next day. Just like that, like as if they did not even care how much i needed those meds. I was speechless and asked why i wasn't told 30 minutes ago about this and the girl says that the pharmacist probably did not know!? How is this possible? I wanted to put them in as much pain as i was in and then tell them, "sorry, you don't have the meds in stock!" What a bunch of sorry professionals.

You can drop off a rx. The pharmacists, nor the techs, know whether the drug is in stock. The rx is scanned and entered into the computer. Then, everything entered by the tech is checked by a pharmacist. After this step, the order to fill the rx is sent electronically to a techs filling station. She goes to the shelf to search for the drug. When she does not find it, she punches her hand held unit, which sends the rx, electronically to a trouble que. It may be several minutes before a pharmacist or techs notices the rx is in trouble. They may not notice it at all until you come back to ask about your rx. The only way to be sure that they have the drug in stock is to ask the tech when you drop off the rx. Ask her to see if they have the drug in stock.

Walmart they seems to have problems with their inventory system

Walmart in Topeka Kansas seems to have problems with their inventory system in that they either don't recognize when there invetory on certain products is being depleted so as to order more product to arrive before they are out. On numerous occasions I have encountered this with their Dakota Sunflower Seeds. This is very frustrating, since I have grown to really like this brand. Seems as though there really isn't a good way to let Walmart know of our frustration when they run out of inventory on any item. Guess I would expect them to know that if they have robust sales on an item that if they are out for several days to a week, not only are they missing out on sales but they are in some cases forcing us to shop elsewhere. DAH - Is that what you really want Walmart?

also, if you can find someone, they can scan it, and tell you if the warehouse is out, or if there are any on their way...

the system automatically reorders a case when an entire case has been sold. maybe the shelf only holds 12, and 12 come in the case. therefore, when a case is sold, one is ordered, and it cant just magically appear in the store, it has to be ordered, shipped, unloaded, stocked... stuff doesnt just magically appear because you want it to. it has to go through a lot of people. and im pretty sure walmart isnt ignoring it just to piss you off. if you like them so much, why dont you buy a bunch at a time?

Walmart poor customer service

They have terrible customer service at this store. More than once I have left the store and realized the cashier had not given me all of my bags of merchandise. The other day it happened again. As soon as I realized it I called the store and Laura at customer service told me there was nothing I could do about it without my receipt (I had thrown my receipt away with the bags when I unpacked them). She said "sorry, nothing we can do"! That was that, money down the drain again! You can bet I won't be going back to that store!
