Walmart rude cashier qwuen/gwen

I went to walmart and got in a 20 items or less line. I had bought a few beverages and beach wear and counted 20 items.
Plus all the self check out lanes were out of order and only two cashiers were 'working.' *They were chatting and ignoring the customers waiting to check out* and the lines were long.
So I Get in line and meet this woman. She says to me 'uh oh, swine flue alert."
"Excuse me?"
She sighs and grabs my items, which I placed on the check out stand and THROWs them in the bags and flings them into my cart. She crushed my chips.
"Uh, do you mind?"
She rolls her eyes and continues to throw my items in the cart. She then stands there and says 'anything else?"
"yes, tanke those items off b/c Im not paying for it."
"what ever mexican."She says throwing the receipt at me.
"whatever chongo." I said. "heaven forbid you threw crap at me." That pissed her off XD
I talked to the manager and he didnt care. I figured she was flustered that I made her do a simple job and wasted her braincells.

Walmart could not return toaster

I bought a toaster a few weeks back and lost the receipt. The toast was stuck in the toaster so I did the most logical thing. I shoved a knife in it to get the toast out. All of a sudden I got a huge shock.

I went to return the toaster. Since I had no receipt I was told I could not return the toaster. I asked for a manager. The manager came and first he refused to let me return the toaster. Then he had this huge grin and a gleam in his eye. He told me that he would let me return the toaster on one condition. He was in the mood for a blow job, and if I preformed one on him he would allow me to return the toaster. I was very reluctant on this but I wasted $29.94 on the toaster and reluctantly agreed with his proposal. I asked if we could do our business in the washroom since I did not want everyone to watch. He said no deal, if you want to return the toaster we do it right here and now. So I gave him the blow job. After I was done he told me that I was not good enough and I could not return the toaster.

Here is what I would like to happen. I would like first and for most for the manager to apologize and admit that this is the best sex he ever had, and finally I would like to be allowed to return the toaster.

Liz, there have been complaints that are troll posts which don't have the topic of sex in them which have been deleted for being fake. I am surprised that this one is still on. Anyways I always wanted to say this.

first of all a toaster is not that serious and second you were stupid for giving head for a 29.95 refund and for doing so you pretty much ruined a multi million dollar law suit and you may still be able to get the person fired but that was pretty stupid sinking down to that level and thats if the story is true

Shoving a knife in a toaster is not "the most logical thing to do".

I'll leave the rest of the crap for someone else to answer.

Walmart fired

was fired 5/18/2009 for to many points feel that ok I was fired but why did the whole store have to know even before I did when I walked in to go to work at 10 pm 5/18/2009 I felt like I had the pleg or something everyone looking at me wispering had people who never ever talk to me say how are you doing just think it is none of anyones business what anyone elses business is.and while getting fired one girl came in told shirley she wanted to take a personal day on the following thurs shirley looked at me real funny and said you can take the day but you will probably still get a point cuz the schedules are made three weeks ahead, so I had to go out and get my discount card from my car and when pass by that girl asked her so your going to get a point for taken off on thursday? she said NO! that was for your sake. but yet that is the way your webb city store is everyone knows everyone elses business.I loved working there just think they play favorites to a lot of them for one bout the points there are so many there that have or should have alot more points then I but don't even get a d-day couching anything there are people who have stolen and still there no call no show for 3 or 4 days fired called back one or two weeks later. I can name names if you want me to DAVE WARDEN him self has did things that are unaproprate like pick up fire igstingwieser spray in smokers lounge made a girl deathly sick. just heard they fired 5 people from all 3 shifts but still not the ones that really should be. that I know of there are at least 5 maybe more who should have been fired for points a long long time ago.and thats just the over night shift. I know of one girl whom got caught stealing a $150.00 in D V D s not long after she got hired only thing happened to her was slap on hand and that girl is still employed there. Dave him self has even stollen in my book when he buildlt his house needed yard trees and plant and stuff went out to lawn and garden picked out what he want marked them down paid for them then went back and had employees mark the rest down that was left. I call that back stocking and stealing don't you?probably by me writeing this complaint will never get hired back on at walmart but you know what this crap at this store needs to stop. shirley the over night manager she has friends there she eats in the break room with them every night witch not a problem but her telling them everyone elses business is the problem. and she tells them every little thing. out of all the managers think and not sure bout him ADAM over night manager is the only one I would trust he don't discuss any thing around any one he even will ask you to step out to talk to another assiote.thats what should happen. anyway this is my complaint thank you very much... sighned rhonda

Thank God Wal-Mart didn't have a spelling/grammer requirement, or else you would have been fired on the first day!

I still laughing over the "d-day couching" . So what you get a "couching", how long do they make you sit?

Doesn't surprise me much; I quit there back in 2006 and never looked back. Working at that store is a very degrading
experience if you're not one of the "favorites".
As for Dave Warden, it's difficult for me to think back to a time when he was appropriate or professional. I can remember when
I complained to him about a fellow associate (favorite) after I got tired of her leaving all the work for others, talking down to me,
and bragging about how much she makes. Not only would he not even allow to finish what I was saying, he actually started
harrassing me, mouthing off to me when he'd see me around the store. He'd utter things like "Nitpicker!" and "Aren't I always right!?"
He's supposed to be a store manager? All I did was attempt to use the open door policy. To say the least, he would appear to have serious pride issues.
I could go on and on, but I'll just say that I agree with you 100% and I wish you the best of luck.

Walmart I cannot get it activated

My daughter and son-in law purchased a Walmart Money Card (Visa) in December of 2008 as a gift to my husband and myself. The Walmart cashier did not tell them that the store redeipt was necessary in order to activate the card. The receipt was discarded and now I cannot activate the card.

To those at Walmart $50.00 may not be much, but to me it is too much to throw away.

The card was purchased at a Walmart in Austin, Minnesota.

Please help me get this card activated.

Thank you,

Walmart can reprint a receipt they did it for me at the Elk River, MN Walmart. I think that as long as it was not paid with Cash. Don't let them tell you they can't do that since I know they can.

Walmart buyer beware

My mother bought me a $399- Dyson vacum the other day at my local Wal-mart ( bless her heart)but i myself had recently bought a new vacum. Mom gave me receipt to return if i wanted to which i figured i hadn't even opened box so i'd go return it and get much needed groceries. At customer service desk i was told that you can't return Dyson vacums even if you have receipt . I said shouldn't that be posted some where because as someone spending that kind of money i would of taken that into consideration before i purchased it.I was then told that it was posted somewhere on the outside of box yet i couldn't see it and the manager couldn't either then she said " well i know for sure its on the literature INSIDE THE BOX" well lady most people don't open the box to read the literature untill after the made the purchase and take it home! by then your in the perdicament i am in NOW. So buyer of Dyson beware you can not return them to the store of purchase.

I also think that is insane. I have bought numerous things at Walmart, and NEVER had a problem returning them. In fact, I just returned at $185.00 Infinity vacuum which was a piece of junk, and which was purchased in May, 2008 and today is 10/23/09, (I still had the receipt) and the manager was gracious enough to hear my story, called Euro-Pro who made the vacuum, and made arrangements to ship the vacuum back to them for a store credit. The manager also gave me a store credit on the spot for the vacuum and I am now purchasing the Dyson. Wal-Mart works with customers beyond the call of duty, and if a store clerk said no, you should have taken it up a level and then some. I have never been turned down a return by Wal-Mart EVER. I have even bought stuff at one Wal-Mart and returned it at another, and still there was no problem. Just take it up a step if you get turned down. Don't yell and argue, just explain your situation. Also, you can make a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division in the state you reside -- they have to take it back if you have your receipt and it is not opened and if it is opened and it is broken or defective -- there are consumer laws and they have to take it back. You just can't return a shirt that you wore for 6 months and tell the clerk you don't like it anymore. Either the clerk didn't know his job or you didn't have a receipt and wanted a cash refund, but something isn't adding up here. Wal-Mart is great about returns! Did you talk to a manager or talk to a new clerk on the job for 2 days?

That's insane and I don't believe your Wal-Mart is correct about that. It doesn't say on Wal-Mart's website anything about a special return policy for Dyson products. Maybe try a different Wal-Mart where someone knows what they're talking about.

Walmart - prepaid walmart visa card

I recently bought a $50 dollar Wal*Mart Visa gift card and its a useless piece of crap. The main reason I got this was so I could order Skype online and order a few other items with it. Every site I go to it says that Im un-able to use this card, or its invalid or something stupid like that. Not to mention they start reducing money from the card if there...

Walmart rude and poor customer service

I have spent alot of money whenever I go shopping at my local Wal-mart store, some of the employees who work at the Oceanside location are very rude and gave me poor customer service today. I was in one aile and one of the employees told me that I was in her way and she wanted me to move so she can get by me. I did move but she didn't say thank you. Also, when I was in the Jewerly counter and tried to speak to an employee who worked at the counter. She ignored me and didn't look up at me once, then I try talking to her again then she finally did look up at me. It just seems like the employees who work there are so unhappy and are rude to some of the customers because they hate their jobs.

I think I will shop elsewhere like at Target because at least when I walk into Target the employees greet you with a smile and ask if they can help you with something. Also, Target appreciates my business unlike Wal-mart.

This is something that you ### to your husband about (probably where you get all of that money from), and not something worth posting on a consumer review site. Nobody cares that a Wal Mart employee didn't thank you for getting out of her way so that she could do her job.

I am also an employee at Wal-Mart and sometimes we have bad days also just like people who don't work at Wal-Mart...and I bet they have already seen you in that same store since then so don't complain and say you are going to shop somewhere else. Do you even have a job or are you the type that live off of the government, from our paychecks and complain about it?

Walmart stupid cashiers

WalMart NW Expressway, and Council in Oklahoma City.
Made a purchase of $30.31. Handed the debit card and 1 dollar to cashier. told cashier to take the 31 cents out of the dollar and use the 30 dollars on the debit card for purchases. the idiot took the dollar, then told me he and she would take $29.31 off the 30 dollar debit card and leave 59 cents on the debit card. WHAT THE HELL TO YOU DO WITH A 59 CENTS DEBIT CARD? I asked them and they just looked at me like they were stupid. So I had to go find a manger and work it out so that I could clear the 59 cents off the debit card... What kind of idiots does WalMart have a cashiers when they can't understand a 30 dollar debit card and needing to take 31 cents from a dollar bill?

To answeringyourquestions...if someone only has 30 dollars on their debit card and the total came to 30.31, then obviously they need to pay the difference another way. It is an easy transaction, if the cashier knows what they are doing. You can type in .31 cash first and then the total is 30 dollars and they swipe their card for the rest of it. Or, type in 30 and hit debit and it will prompt that they still owe 31 cents. It's not difficult at all. As for the comment that if you have a debit card you won't need to make change, you need to understand the difference between debit and credit. You can't take more money from a debit card than what you have in the account.

This cashier could have had a bad day, did you ever think of that? Maybe she had a death in the family or is going through a divorce. Not everyone can function at 100% every minute of everyday. Plus, how competent do you want someone to be when the company they work for treats them badly. Disgruntled employees make more mistakes. WHY DON'T YOU GET A LIFE, THIS COMPLAINT IS USELESS!

Ok, I'm confused. What did they do, run your debit card twice? And what did they do with the dollar? I'm a cashier at Walmart and would have ran the card for $30, with a balance of .31, which I would have used the dollar to give you .69 change. Its not hard! And yes, calling someone an idiot is not right and immature.

Who do you think you are?! I've been a cashier on and off for four years while I've been in college/high school and I make mistakes. We all make mistakes, even you! If the cashier is anything like me, he/she could sense your attitude and felt intimidated, and therefore was more likely to make a mistake. The manager fixed it, you got your money back, so stop complaining. People like you who think you're superior because you've never had to stand behind a counter make me sick.

We had an encounter with an employee in the Chickasha WalMart that cost us time & money, so I registered a complaint on the WalMart website. I was called by the manager of the Chickasha WalMart, who was completely unhelpful. She only made excuses for the employee, who is still doing the same poor job to this day. If you think there is a valid complaint I recommend making it to the national headquarters. You may not be satisfied, but at least you tried.

Was a customer manager supervisor for years at Walmart - four different locations - they are all the same. I have no respect for the way they treat their employees and they really do get over on their customers. It was a job is all I can say. Did all I could to please the customers and STILL keep my jobs until I could find something better. It is always "Cover Your A "

Really fed up, your comment is ridiculous. I can tell you, as a cashier, that about 40% of the customers that come through my line do NOT know which way to swipe their card, and as many as 60% do not know when. Almost half of my customers don't know to follow the prompts on the screen. If I just stood there and said nothing to them, many would stand there all day. To simply say, "other way" when they swipe their card the wrong way, or "you can go ahead and swipe" if they appear to be waiting does nothing more than assist the process, quicken the closure of the transaction, and allow other customers waiting in line to be served in a timely manner.

I can tell you, as someone who has experienced plenty of customers like yourself, who have no regard for those around them, that when you act in such a way, you do nothing more than disrespect a hard-working, underpaid citizen and make a scene and a hindrance to the shopping experience of other customers. The world does NOT revolve around you.

Secondly, you attack cashiers for following what management tells them to say. Are you suggesting that people with families to support, bills to pay, and other responsibilities to meet should risk their employment by NOT following instructions? If I didn't ask the questions I am required to ask, I would not have a job at the end of my shift.

In the end, I know a comment on a public forum will not change you. Your immaturity is something that has to resolve itself, and chances are, it will do so through karma. You keep acting like you do, and one of these days, someone is going to "go absolutely ballistic on you and you will have deserved it!"

Walmart gemb helpful to thieves

I spent over an hour today trying to get account information on a fraudulent account on my credit report for GEMB/Walmart in the amount of $68. The amount and type of card is what pisses me off even more. I was transferred to 3 different numbers which each person stating that they have less information than the previous number about where the card was sent, what the charges were and how the card was obtained. All I was offered was a settlement offer...Why would I pay 50% on anything that I have nothing to do with and that is ruining my credit report. GEMB is a fraud which works for the con-artist and spit in the face of the victims!

Walmart gulf shores, alabama wal-mart mis management

I live in Gulf Shores, Alabama and your local Wal-Mart is a big joke. This Gulf Shores, Alabama Wal-Mart fails miserably to adequately stock enough for all of us. It is a running joke when we go grocery shopping in Gulf Shores, Alabama to see how many stores we end up visiting to fill one list. Well guess what, I personally will not purchase any large items in this over rated Gulf Shores, Alabama Wal-Mart. Whoever is managing this over rated mess should not be managing this over rated mess. They are in capable of adequately staffing this mess; there is always a lengthy wait to be checked out. They do not even open a self checkout register at night, guess there is no one working at night who is competent enough to so this!. I have personally witnessed on numerous occasions people basically walking out and leaving full carts as they should not have to play this Gulf Shores game of waiting in line to do everything, Gulf Shores is not worth waiting in line for anything, except to leave this over rated, over developed tourist trap. On some occasions there is so much stock waiting to be put on the shelves in Gulf Shores, Alabama’s Wal-Mart that a shopper cannot even get a shopping cart down most aisles. It looks like what one would expect from this junked up Gulf Shores, Alabama, just look around at the garbage and junk here. They are damn lucky there has not been a fire because the amount of clutter in this store would keep shoppers from evacuating it. Again this is not some local mom and pop grocery store as it is being run as such, this is a very large fast paced national chain that frankly is fast becoming like all other Gulf Shores, Alabama businesses, lazy, under staffed, under educated, over rated, under stocked and overpriced. The real kicker is that they forced numerous small businesses to close and now this incompetent bunch in Gulf Shores, Alabama will run another national chain in the ground and all of us locals now are forced to leave this over rated tourist trap which frankly I hope we all leave this filthy over rated tourist trap and the Gulf Shores, Alabama Wal-Mart can sit empty with no stock and maybe 2 people to run the registers if they can even get that many due to gross mis management at all levels in Alabama!.

Walmart tire

I have a complaint against the way things were handled in our purchase of car tires. We purchased 4 tires from the minot, nd walmart on 4 / 20 / 2009. We went on vacation 5 / 03 / 2009 to neveda. On our way we were going down the highway and the car started to shake. At first we thought it was the road but it didnt stop so had to find a place to pull over for some highways don't have big enough shoulders. So we found out we had a flat, put the spare on and continue on went to the town of winnemucca nv found the walmart store and a lady came out took our information and said because we didnt get road hazard warranty when we purchased the tires, she said it couldnt be repaired for we road on it well of coarse it was road on when you are going down the highway 70 miles an hour you just can't stop right then an there. Everytime we asked her something she would say we road on it so couldn't help us and we had to purchase another tire. She was not helpful at all her name was michelle in the tire lube express. She said they would check out the tire and see if it had faulty workmanship. They never came and told us if anything was wrong with it, so when they came after putting a new tire on, we ask the guy if he found anything wrong with the tire he said he didnt check and they were suppose to before they put on the new one. Again it was brought up that we road on it and the inside was chewed up a bit and it just broke the seal. I see on the back of my receipt there is a full warranty on automotive service 90 days or 3000 miles. So i think we shouldnt of had to pay for the new tire and we do have the tire with us. I dont think they sealed the tire very well when we bought the 4 tires and it was walmart in minot that put them on. I think we should get a refund $83. 69 even if its in a gift card. Hope you are better understanding then some of your employees. Thank you for listening and hope to hear from you ([protected]@juno.com) michael k. Brown po box 2125 minot, nd 58702

I bought a battery at Walmart last night for my jet ski. On their ad board place above the batteries was ever start maxx 3 year free replacement warranty. I purchased the battery and once I paid the salesperson so here is your warranty papers, it has 1 month free replacement and 6 months prorated.

I said no the ad states 3 year free replacement. She said that ad is for car batteries only. Explained to her nowhere on the battery box or the ad does it say there is a different warranty for a Jet Ski battery. I informed them that this was false advertisement. This was not a cheap battery it was 84.99. So make sure when buying a battery to check to see if their advertisement applies to the battery you are buy. I turned battery back into them and will never buy another one. If possible I will not buy anything from Walmart again.

My 3 year old Walmart branded EverStart automotive battery failed this last weekend. The battery (Model 47-3) came with a 2 year replacement warranty, and a 72 month pro rated warranty. My battery was purchased in December 2005. I was told that their "system wouldn't allow them to honor the warranty." I asked to speak to the store manager. The store manager was unavailable, but the assistant manager told me the same thing.

I have written a complaint to the company.

Please be aware that Walmart does not honor its extended warranties.

just left wallmart all pissed off. Had a maxx 9year battery that failed 5years into it. ok all seemed fine till they told me they would prorate battery at 40dollars towards another battery, and i would pay difference of 64dollars, but the battery would not have even one day of warranty. So they hold me hostage for the 40 dollars of credit and have me put another 64dollars at a battery that could fail tomorrow. Im done with everstart and wallmart.

Normally I like Walmart, they have a lot of good deals but do yourself a favor, don't buy motorcycle batteries from them. According to what I was told by the automotive department employee who looked up the warranty on his computer, these batteries don't even come with a 90 day warranty (the usual warranty for anything else at WM) - but a 30 day "warranty"

i purchased a lawnmower battery and 3 months later i start my mower and the negative post melted through the battery right under my ###.i took the lawnmower in and had it checked for shorts and they found nothing wrong with the mower so i took the battery to walmart and explained to them what was going on and they told me that they would only refund the battery after three months once three months passed they could not do anything with it. pissed me the hell of i argued and argued and they flat stood there and kept giving me ### about this warranty.i told them it has a 1 year warranty its only three months he pointed behind me and said look 90 days no warranty.of course this 90 day warranty ### was printed smaller then the 1 or more year warrantys so you would not think to read it i say its a bunch of legal trickery myself and walmart can go to hell for all i care.

No, dude. It ain't a "Jetski" - it's a Powerstar, equivalent to Yuasa YTX12-BS (BS like "Bulls**t") but much better. Still showing full capacity after more than 1/2 year. Walmart won't even stand behind their product after 30 days, that tells me everything

Dude you bought a jetski aka a money pit. And everyone with a brain knows that those advertisements are only for car batteries. Also, I've seen those signs, read the fine print and maybe you won't feel so mad because it clearly says automotive batteries only.

Their MAXX motorcycle batteries used to come with a 2 year warranty only a few years ago. Suddenly they changed the warranty to 30 days for the same product. they won't tell you or show any warranty information at all on the box or the shelf. Only if you specifically ask they will look it up in the computer and tell you. I ordered a battery with a 2 year warranty through Amazon.com for about $ 20 less and received it within a few days. It's an excellent battery with excellent consumer ratings, hopefully more riders make the switch and teach Walmart a lesson.

Brought a battery from Walmart for my 94 HD Roadking. It is an Ever Start battery that lost a cell 35 days latter. Went back to Walmart and was told the warranty was up. Real piss off at Walmart. On my reciept doesn't say anything about a warranty or 30 days. This battery should last at least 1 season. Walmart is selling bunk batteries for big money and not pro rating them. My answer to buying a battery from Walmart is DON'T BUY A BATTERY form Walmart

I work at walmart in valley center ks, they are very rude there...managers treat u like crap and other employees act as if ur not there. If I didnt need the job so bad i would have quit a long time ago. I got written up for not doing my job right. How do u greet no one in the middle of the night. Or how do you stop a shoplifter when you cant tackle them. If the shoplifter goes through the door, your suppose to ask for receipt, if they cant produce it you let them walk out the door if they can you let them walk out of the door...there is no way to make this wal mart happy. If your child is sick in the hospital you cant take off work without getting written up. my child was in the hospital and i had to give the hospital permission over the phone to treat my son cause my manager would not let me leave to take care of him. what kind of cracked up b.s. is that...
u want to work for a stupid store go to walmart in valley center, ks

Am trying to contact a manager at the Plano, IL store after I was given his number from a representative at your website. He is avoiding me and the longer he does, the more I realize that if you have a problem with walmart...too bad. Their advertisement for a price match from another store for a product bought at a walmart store is just that..ADVERTISEMENT.

Walmart unprofessional staff and management

I went to your store and I had to use the restrooms. I must say the restrooms were clean. An employee came inside and I was finished taking a crap. I asked the employee to wipe my ### for me. She refused. I asked for a manager and he refused as well. Well first he refused to come into the washroom, then he refused to wipe my ###. Why should I wipe my own ###. I make 80000 a year more than the manager and employee combined. I want a refund for my purchases. ($232.22) a gift card for $50 and money on a giftcard.

Walmart accused by greeter/I threatened police report for defamation purposes

As I was leaving the store, the bell went off. This particular male greeter never acknowledged me before, always giving me cursory looks.I am around 50, and a retired tattoo/piercing shop owner. Thus, I am an alternative and I could see the glee in his eyes as the bell rang on me. I gave him my bags, including an electronic dept. one. He looked in all, and remarked that there wasn't a receipt for the electronic purchase. I opened my purse and wallet, having nothing to hide, dumped any and all receipts I had into a shopping cart. At this point, as customers were exiting, he was deliberately telling them to "move on", telling me to "stand back", and causing a scene himself. I am well-respected, well-educated and waited to zing my lawful rights on him. He still claimed he couldn't find the receipt after over an hour, as other customers are assuming I am a shop-lifter. He then called Electronics, asked if I bought this item, described me, (lady w/tatoos).Electronics came up front, grabbed the bag from the greeter, looked inside, and pulled out the receipt! He couldn't apologize enough.I requested the floor manager, ten minutes later a section manager appeared.I refused to speak with her. Finally, the store manager did arrive.I told her it was within my right to have her call the police and make an incident report. She agreed.I made a deal with her that if he had more sensitivity training and this type of problem was addressed at this location, I would not call the police. She still gave me the usual WM gift card anyway.Since then, workers at that store have been more courteous to me, and he eventually quit or was fired.

Thank you Brenda for your comment in response UsuallyDon'tCareToComment. Guess you understood my story...lol...as almost everyone else has in this particular forum. Some may agree. Some may disagree. That's their prerogative. I certainly didn't go in and out of this "particular Walmart" often on the chance that I could "make a stink and ZING them/him/Frank/management". I do have better things to do in my life. Just scroll through the posts UDCTC to understand my motives for my behavior.

Re: foxfyre: I understand. Thank you for your explanation.

foxfyre: If you read my original story, that's what I did. It was he, the greeter Frank, that had the attitude. I stopped. I showed him my receipts. I actually gave him my bag first. He claimed the receipt wasn't in the bag, which is why I gave him ALL of my receipts and told him to find it then. I knew the receipt was in the store's electronics bag. It was his mistake and he was just "hunting" for someone. He thought he was going to find it in me. Even the Electronics Department was angry enough when they were called out of their department to come and check the merchandise because they knew me for buying enough merchandise/asking questions etc. They found the receipt in under 30 seconds. Apparently he wasn't well-liked in that store and shouldn't have been in that position. I gave the man a chance to do his job properly without an attitude at the start. I threatened to file a police report after the fact.

Absolutely Healthy Distrust, one doesn't need to stop. I knew I had done nothing wrong, and from his past negativity towards me, I also knew he was going to make a huge mistake when he stopped me. I was simply aiding him in putting his foot in his mouth. I saw an opportunity to make an easy point on a Wal-Mart mistake and was going to ride the waves and enjoy it. It was very easy to have the store manager agree to sensitivity training and besides, he did eventually leave the store.
One new rule was imposed on the employees that I was told about a year later on...if you are treated rudely/obnoxiously by a store employee, report them immediately to the store manager while they are on duty so the issue can be dealt with at hand. I'd say that was progress in the way of encouraging their employees to cater more to their customers whether they want to or not. And yes, the customers must stand up for themselves for this rule to work productively, also.

Oh, ... I see, you say, "I knew the receipt was in the store's electronics bag."

So, ... you knew that whole hour you stood there, ...was it a whole hour? Really? ... A WHOLE HOUR that you stood there, while other shoppers came and went around you, Frank making a scene, you calmly standing by, ... FOR A WHOLE HOUR? Really?

Anyway, ...you say you knew the receipt was in the electronics bag. But, "I opened my purse and wallet, having nothing to hide, dumped any and all receipts I had into a shopping cart." ... Really? ... If you knew the receipt was in the electronics bag, why did you do this?

Your story makes no sense.

Showing him everything in your possession, every single bit of paper and receipt you had on you, in your purse, and on your person, ...how does that figure in if you just wanted to be on your way? It would prove nothing to him, ...if he did suspect you were trying to shoplift, showing him every single receipt in your purse proves nothing if he finds nothing - if he does not find the receipt. It only proves him right (IF he, as you say, suspects you.)

Your story makes no sense.

You are either NOT VERY SMART, ...

OR

...you just wanted to make a stink and ZING them/him/Frank/management at this particular Walmart.

And that's not very respectable.

I don't understand your story. Why didn't you just pull the receipt for the electronic item out of the bag and show him straight up?

You said, "I am well-respected, well-educated...", and "He still claimed he couldn't find the receipt after over an hour..." ----- If you are so smart, didn't you know it was in the bag? ("Electronics came up front, grabbed the bag from the greeter, looked inside, and pulled out the receipt!")

Why in the world would you stand there for over and hour while he hunted for the receipt?

You also say, "...and waited to zing my lawful rights on him." And, "I requested the floor manager, ten minutes later a section manager appeared.I refused to speak with her. Finally, the store manager did arrive.I told her it was within my right to have her call the police and make an incident report." -------- Did you just want to "ZING" them, ...get a bit of revenge for, "This particular male greeter never acknowledged me before, always giving me cursory looks."

Your story doesn't make sense.

Walmart piece of crap!

This card is the biggest piece of crap I have ever had to deal with! I got my card stolen from a clrk at a gas station in santa ana and so I called the station to get my money back because this jerk off had the nerve to use MY CARD at the same gas station where I last used it where He worked! (I know it had to be him because he handed my i.d back and not my card which I later realized) Well that was the info according to the automated system for the walmart card had given me. So I cancelled my card and called the gas station and they said they had no record of those transactions and that they needed exact times. So I call the walmart supposedly customer care number and this crappy ### auotomated system sends me from one number to another! 4 total and each one sends me to the next one that at the end of the cycle ends up with the first number I began with! According to one number it says "for this account you will need to call a different number, here it is"... etc. Then I call that number and basically the same thing is said and so on and so forth! So I cant get in, I cant talk to anyone, therefore I cant get my damn transctions or times to get this problem fixed asap and get this aHole fired so he doesnt do this again! It is just time wasted and the walmart corp is responsible for it! Just for future reference, if your in the santa ana area and happen to use the chevron off mcfadden and village dr off the 55 that is owned by Cynthia Demoslai enterprise watch out for that F*(# Head and/or keep close attention when using any kind of card there! And I do not recommend the walmart paycard to anyone. That is just one thing I had to deal with since I first got it! I am currently searching for other card options since I had a lil fall out with a couple banks a few years back. So remember if you do happen to get this card, DO NOT rely on thir "Customer support" for [censored]! I hope someone from walmart or the BBB reads all these complaints from so many loyal walmart customers and does omething about it! Because they had to go in to a wal mart for some reason to notice they had a paycard so surely they must be customers! And for this to happen to so many and get no where is just plain Ridiculous!

It's not a friendly card whatsoever... However, in this case, I would approach the owner of the gas station first. Tell them what happened and get a printout of your transactions from online if possible. Take this to the owner and have them review their video surveillance. If need be, I would tell them you will take the matter to the police. My friend had a similar problem in the gas station he owns and he did reviewed the video with the customer, called the clerk into the office and had him explain. No explanation..just fired and my friend gave the customer back his money with an apology.

Although I do agree that the Walmart card is not a friendly card, I think you can handle this without involving their "customer service" folks.

Having said that, here’s my take on Prepaid Debit Cards (payroll cards) based on my own experience:

The card you have is typical because most cards either have a monthly fee or pretty limited as to the free items.

I have worked at Starbucks for about 7 months now and they allow us to have a card called the Money Manager Card. The choice was pretty simple because there are no monthly fees, I can use it on their network (allpoint atms) free at all times, never any fees to buy things (signing or using my PIN and getting cash back if I want…all without a fee or surcharge), no overdraft. Let’s just say I haven’t paid a fee in the entire time I’ve had the card. It’s pretty simple to use it at no charge and I really don’t have to tip-toe around any limited free items like most other cards I have seen have.

Oh, and don’t lose most payroll cards! If you do, it’ll cost you $$ even to get the replacement sent by the post office. My new card give free replacements when delivered by the post office all of the time. Or, if I want, I can get it delivered by Fedex for $10. Pretty reasonable as I sent something by Fedex a month ago and paid $14!

I should state that Walmart has something that is similar sounding to Money Manager Card. I think it is the Money Card or something like that. That card is definitely not the same.

I did a quick Google search on Money Card when investigating the Starbucks offering and mistakenly clicked on a link to a Money Card “problem” page (something like this site) where people complained about it. Then, I realized that “Money Card” is not “Money Manager Card”.

Its Walmart's fault you can't keep track of your own damn card?

But before I rage on you too hard for being a [censored] I have to ask:

Do you mean a Walmart Paycard for employees, which is how they now get paychecks.
Its basically a debit card that Walmart directly deposits the money onto.

Or do you mean a Walmart prepaid visa debit card?
In which case calling Walmart would be a stupid thing to do.
Walmart issues those cards, but its Green Dot that takes care of it.

I hope you mean the former. Getting the run-around on your employee paycard would piss me off too.
But since you referred to yourself as a "loyal customer" I'm assuming that the latter is the case (not an employee), in which you are a [censored].
Again, Walmart doesn't take care of customer service for Green Dot cards.
Next time read the fine print on the cards packaging.

For the record, I work at the MoneyCenter at one of the Walmarts in my city.
Do you have any idea how many idiots come up wanting to buy one of those prepaid debit cards without so much as even glancing at the back?
They have fees. They have limits. They have their own customer service. They are a long term card, not just for a single online purchase.

so just an average payday, me and my 2 year old son went to wal-mart to do our shopping, we finished, we went to mcdonalds and had a bite to eat then befor leaving i went into the bathroom, changed my sons diaper and then i had to go... i went into the only stall that me, my stroller and child could fit into and there was blood everywhere... i guess a woman was having a rough time and i understand but i really had to go... to i went to the customer service desk and asked them if they could get someone to come and clean it up. so they got me to wait and wait, i asked them if anyone was comming after 15 mins of waiting and then they told me that there was no maintenance staff working... so i asked if i could talk to thier supervisor, he came out and asked me what the problem was so i told him about the blood in the only big stall in the store. and he said "ohh wow is that still there."
really? still? they should have gotten that cleaned up! so i asked him if there was anyone else who could do it (and by the way there were a bunch of female staff standing around doing nothing for they money they make) so he told me that there is no one here that wants to do that... and told me to walk over to the mall (another 10 min walk) so i'd like to say thanks wal-mart you guys truly suck...

I forgot to mention one issue I had with what you posted..."for the money they make"...how much do you think Walmart employees are paid? Believe me, I worked there, it's not much.

That is a health and safety issue. Bodily fluids have to be cleaned up immediately. You should have called the health department, especially after he said, "is that still there"...that is completely unacceptable. It's bad enough when the bathrooms are just plain dirty...human blood or body fluids is a public health risk issue. I would have taken a picture and immediately called the health department.
