Walmart I am done with wal-mart

Okay I know this is dumb but I really just need to vent. The past few months I have had prescriptions filled at the North Logan Wal-Mart they have screwed up. Now I understand that mistakes can be made but come on, how dumb can someone actually be? I have had them fill the wrong amount on my prescription, I had them try to overcharge me on my prescription 2 weeks ago, when I complained the girl called the insurance company and I was correct they were wrong. Well today my husband goes in to fill a prescription and it was for a 90 qty. Insurance only covers a 30 qty per month on this particular medication which is fine. We have always paid about $35.00 for a 30 qty, well today they tried charging him $60 which he told them that was incorrect and four people at the pharmacy started arguing with him. Well he asked for the prescription papers back and went elsewhere. I called the insurance company and asked them to look it up. They would cover a qty 90 for 78.00 you just have to call in to have it override which Wal-Mart has done on other prescription for me before, and a qty 30 for 35.00. So where they were getting the $60 something from I really don’t know. Needless to say we have transferred all of our prescriptions elsewhere. Before this incident I had quit shopping at Wal-Mart for grocery items since I had a few bad experiences. Since my husband works was so close to Wal-Mart I figured we would still just have our prescription filled there so he could pick them up on the way home. Well not any more. I am done with Wal-Mart. I called to complain and the manager said, “well the pharmacy has been busy since we stared the $4.00 prescriptions”. I laughed what did he really expect me to say, “oh well I understand that mistakes are made” for the 10th time (since this was not the first time this incident has happened to me), or was he simply asking for my advise on how to solve the situation which would have been well hire more people, and if you have a hard time doing that then maybe you should raise the starting wage.

Walmart card suspension without any notification

I have had my Walmart Money Card for a couple of years. I recently started advertising my quilts for sale on Backpage.com. I posted several ads in a couple of different states on Backpage and debited the card a total of $78 for advertising. I used 3 moneypaks to add money to my card totalling 120 bucks, nothing outrageous. I went to walmart today to use my card to purchase a DVD knowing that I still had $45 dollars OF MY OWN MONEY on the card, it was declined. I ask the cashier to hold my purchase while I go call customer service. My call is routed to "loss prevention" ? Seriously? In speaking with the non-english speaking person, she advises me that I have done "several transaction with a merchant that they do not deal with." Each transaction was only $4.50. Advertising on Backpage is cheap. I asked her what she means by "a merchant they do not deal with" she avoided the question and asked me why am I advertising with that company? And that she would assume that I read the Terms and Conditions before I used the card. Really? I asked her what it said. She claimed that it states their card is not to be used for business purposes. What? I have used my card MANY TIMES for business purposed for much more than this amount. I have used my card for GOOGLE ADWORDS accounts, to set up a website, etc. Many times. AND these cost me way more than $78! More like 300-500 bucks a pop. This is crazy. So the representative goes on to tell me that they are closing my card officially on Aug 8th and that she doubts I will ever be able to get another card through them. HAHA like I would want one. I would like to make it clear to anyone reading this that my address is up to date on my account, my email address is up to date, my phone number is up to date on my account. At NO POINT did anyone ever attempt to contact me from Walmart Money Card to inquire about my transactions. I would also like to point out they did not block my account because of several transactions, they blocked my account due to my dealing with Backpage.com. Thats crazy. I would also like to point out that when I got home I reviewed the term and conditions of using the card. It says NOTHING about using it with backpage.com, it says nothing about not using your card for "business purposes" NOTHING. I am so livid. If ANYONE out there wants to get together and file a complaint against these idiots PLEASE email me. I will gladly join in!

Walmart security

Walmart security in Deming NM goes around town talking to people about who they get shoplifting or who they are watching (even employees). What kind of security is that? Everybody in town knows everything. Security is a local woman.

ARS 20-445. Defamation

No person shall make, publish, disseminate or circulate, directly or indirectly, or aid, abet or encourage the making, publishing, disseminating or circulating of any oral or written statement or any pamphlet, circular, article, sales material or literature which is false or maliciously critical of or derogatory to the financial condition of an insurer, and which is calculated to injure any person engaged in the business of insurance, or any domestic corporation or group being formed pursuant to this code for the purpose of becoming an insurer. This provision shall not be deemed to restrict the right, lawfully exercised, of newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations, and similar public media for news dissemination, objectively to publish and disseminate news.

ARS 12-541. Malicious prosecution; false imprisonment; libel or slander; seduction or breach of promise of marriage; breach of employment contract; wrongful termination; liability created by statute; one year limitation

There shall be commenced and prosecuted within one year after the cause of action accrues, and not afterward, the following actions:

1. For malicious prosecution, or for false imprisonment, or for injuries done to the character or reputation of another by libel or slander.

2. For damages for seduction or breach of promise of marriage.

3. For breach of an oral or written employment contract including contract actions based on employee handbooks or policy manuals that do not specify a time period in which to bring an action.

4. For damages for wrongful termination.

5. Upon a liability created by statute, other than a penalty or forfeiture.

I guess to put it in short terms you are correct to a certain extent;

For example if a person is accused of shoplifting yet they are found to be not guilty, or not formally charged then the employee acting on behalf of that company can be sued and potentially held responsible for said actions, and i'm not sure about other states but in CA TX and AZ the employer could be held responsible

That could be true depending on the state but if the employee is stating something in which happened while he or she was on the clock that could potentially make the employer liable. I know that in a civil court you just need to have minimal evidence as to proof your case. I am currently studying law and love to look this type of stuff up, I will look up the statute for here in AZ and let you know, but i know there is also something under the federal law but not sure that it would be jurisdictional on a slander/defamation case of this sort.

I agree that is wrong. And possibly illegal, there are some things that fall under public release of information but in that type of situation they would disclose if the person was convicted, charged, accused etc. Under most laws in the united states if a person is not convicted and a person (like this security lady) goes and speaks to the general public about an incident in which said person was not convicted then that would potentially be slander and/or defamation of character and ultimately walmart would be the responsible party for such actions, as the security officer/person would be acting on their behalf even if he/she is not working at the time that the comment is made.

Walmart buying cigarettes for disabled person

I went to WalMart this morning buying food for a disabled women. I also had to purchase a pack of cigarettes. I don't smoke and I made a comment about this and this women would not sale me a pack of cigarettes unless she was with me. She told me that I should lie about buying for this lady and then she could sell them to me. I have bought Cigarettes for this lady before with no trouble. She was rude and very nasty about the situation. I asked to talk to the manager and she would not come. I will never go there again. This is the most stupid thing that I have ever encountered. What do people do that are confined to a bed and have the nasty habit of smoking. I have never been so upset with WalMart as I am tonight. It seems like they hire very uncaring people. I know smoking is a horrible habit but when you have the habit it is hard to say you can't smoke anymore although I would like to tell her that. She has lots of medical problems and I do wish she would stop. Has anyone out there had the same problem. Is this WalMart's policy or is this a women with an ego problem.

O.K. This is all over now. I received a call from the manager of WalMart and she was really nice and could not believe this went this far. She was off duty that day and was not aware of this problem. The deal is that a disabled person can give permission for me to buy the cigarettes for her without all the drama. This girl took her job a little to far. The manager told me that she buys cigarettes for her mother all the time. The fact that the lady is disabled makes an exception of the rule. The girl will not loose her job because a women of age buys for a handicap person. This can be proven by going and meeting with the disabled person if there is a question about honesty, Now I can go and continue buying these cigarettes without having to have a lecture from anyone. Thanks for the chance to express my views. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR TROOPS AND YOU TOO. WARMEST REGARDS barnes57

I do understand but answer this HOW DO YOU BUY CIGARETTES FOR SOMEONE THAT IS DISABLED. She was just showing her authority. Like I said before I have bought cigarettes from this Wal Mart for one year and nothing was ever said before. There is what you say common sense which she had none of...She was very rude and not understanding. Anyone can buy for a teenager without this much trouble. I am all for this being illegal to sell cigarettes for anyone then this won't be a problem.. I think customer service is more important than being just rude and I will buy cigarettes for my employer when she wants them...It is a nasty habit which I wish she would quit. I will not lie about who I am buying these from. I don't lie...I disagree she was wrong and she knows it. I have made jokes to other employees about how great it is to not have the habit. The sold me cigarettes and no trouble ever before. I will even make it a point to buy at this store again just to prove a point One of the cashiers who has worked for WalMart for years sells to me all the time. You still have not answered my question How do you buy cigarettes for the people who can't get out that are house bound...GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR TROOPS AND YOU TOO. WARMEST REGARDS barnes57

Well in other words lie...This is so stupid. I am a caretaker for a lady 70 years old confined to a bed...I have bought cigarettes for her for two years now. No I disagree and I will not keep my mouth shut. I agree that smoking is bad for you but I have bought at this same wal mart for two years and have never had trouble. I am not a smoker but this is stupid. This had nothing to do with children smoking. She was being a person with authority. Being rude and being nasty will never happen again. I wil buy from someone else. The above person I WILL NOT KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT AND LIE...GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR TROOPS AND YOU TOO. AND GOD DOESN'T LIKE LIARS...

Walmart missing controlled meds

My mother needs Xanax, dropped off prescription to walmart pharmacy and picked up next day since it was an hours wait.

the number of pills were to be 60, but there were only 36 in the bottle. I called the pharmacy, asked for a manager. He said he checked all the xanax and it was accounted for. They obviously have an employee stealing them, but he said he would call my dr. to get the missing 24 pills. Of course my doctor said it was not responsible for walmarts errors and since it was a controlled substance, we were out of luck for another month.
He also said the person filling the script was an intern. I suggested they keep a close eye on them.

Dr won't fill either, but there is obviously a problem with someone in the pharmacy. Who do I file a complaint to? The DEA? My mother lost her prescription for meds, so I switched to walmart because all her meds are cheaper there. That being said if you GET the correct number. Who can I complain to as I'm not going to let this be resolved by walmart since they obviously have a drug addict working for them.

Walmart do honor their own prices

My wife and I were outside of Walmart looking at some patio furniture and there was a mothers day sign on the furniture for $100 and the regular price was $286. I went into the store to find an employee to verify the price. The employee looked at the price and stated it could be the price because sometimes we have huge sales and nevertheless the furniture was sitting in the rain all night. The employee scanned the item and it said it came up as $286 but she will check with her manager to make sure. The employee called her manager and her manager stated since it came up as $286 thats what the price was. So I left it alone and proceeded to do my shopping. As we walked walked another 30 yards in the store their was another patio set with a mothers day sign on it that stated it was $286 and the regular price was $486. So we went back to the employee and questioned the pricing again. Once again they stated the price was $486 even though the sale price on that piece of furniture was marked as well. To make a long story short we spoke with the store managers and they blamed the miss pricing on kids changing the numbers on their signs and they even blamed it on the wind blowing the numbers off of the sign. To me this was an employee error that I caught and they will not honor the price. As soon as I started complaining the employees quickly started changing the numbers on the signs back to the original price. The managers have acknowledged their error and the only thing Im getting is were sorry. Which is not enough from a leader in the retail industry.

I work at Walmart and this happen all the time. Sometime customers even change the signs theirselves and yes punk kids do change the prices, yes signs do get misplaced. So why do you think Walmart should sell you something for a price that is cheaper than they pay for it? IT IS NOT THAT YOU TOOK A PRODUCT UP TO THE CHECK OUT STAND AND FOUND OUT IT WAS WRONG. THE PRICE WAS POSTED AND YOU CAN TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. GO TRY TO MAKE THE PRODUCT YOUR SELF FOR $486.00. SO IT IS AN EMPLOYEE ERROR. SO WHAT! ERRORS HAPPEN ALL THE TIME.

WHILE WE ARE AT IT WHY DON'T YOU [censored]ES STOP LEAVING MEAT IN THE GARDEN CENTER, MILK IN THE TOYS DEPARTMENT AND TOOLS IN THE GROCERY DEPARTMENT JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE TO GODDAM LAZY TO TAKE IT BACK WHERE YOU GOT IT.HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF I CAME TO YOU HOME AND LEFT FOOD IN YOUR GARAGE, TOOLS IN YOU BEDROOM AND DISHES IN YOUR BATH TUB. ALSO KEEP YOUR ###ING KIDS OUT OF THE TOP DEPARTMENT WHEN YOU ARE NOT WITH THEM. THE TOY DEPARTMENT IS NOT A PLAY PEN WHERE YOU LEAVE KIDS WHILE YOU GROCERY SHOP IN THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORE.

IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AND WE ARE SICK OF IT.

Walmart poor service

I have a problem with Wal-marts return policies! I bought a window air unit 2 months ago it was a GE, something in the electric box was messing up it was turning it self up n down and shuting off n on, so I call GE the 1st time they said they would replace it to take it to walmart and get a new 1, wal-mart said no its been past the 45 day mark so I called GE the 2nd time they said call walmart gave me a different number wal-mart would say different they said we will send u a fedex box send it to us then we will send u a refurbished 1. Are you kidding me I called GE the 3rd time they said they can not help wal-marts return policys that if thats what they said i have to do then thats what I have to do! So lets see I buy a new window unit for it to go out in a matter of 9 weeks, to have to send back and get a used 1! So today there are heat warnings the past week n today, so I have to go purchase a new 1 which won't be from Wal-mart or a GE model mind you just so I can send this 1 off cause it will take a couple weeks to get the other 1 back! So if you think you are buying quality anything from Wal-mart think twice specilay if you are spending your hard earned money only to be stolen from you from Wal-mart! Its almost like a scam!

Walmart wal-mart was unable to process our transaction using the wal-mart visa credit cards

My husband and I received 6 Wal-Mart Visa credit cards $50 each for Christmas. We went to the Wal-Mart Super Center in Round Rock, Texas to purchase a $600 laptop but we were unable to use our Wal-Mart Visa gift cards to make the purchase. The register locked up during the transaction and the mgr was called to abort the transaction. We not only had to purchase the laptop on another form of credit BUT had to hassle with Wal-Mart from 10:30 am until 4:30 am to make sure the funds were put back on the cards (normal wait time is 10 days).

Therefore, Wal-Mart was unable to process our transaction using the Wal-Mart Visa credit cards.

"...the register locked up during the transaction..." As a cashier, this tells me that it was not your credit cards, but the register. I can say with 99% confidence that it was just a fluke, and your cards should be good to go next time you want to use them. Freezing registers are not an everyday occurrence and are treated like anomalies.

On the other hand, I have had a Walmart register not let me use more than five credit cards in a transaction (they were VISA giftcards at the time and the register prompted me with "ERROR: and then something to the clear effect of "You cannot use more than five credit cards in a single transaction"). That was perhaps a year ago (people don't bring in 5 credit cards at a time very often), but I imagine the policy remains the same. It probably stems from an effort to reduce fraudulent charges/identity theft.

Walmart I do not however deserve to be treated rudely because the cashier is having a bad day

My husband and I went through the holiday section because sign everywhere said 50% off holiday items. I picked up a candleabra from a shelf marked with a 50% off sign where there where at least 3 or 4 other candleabras. When I reached the check out it rang up for full price. I asked the cashier "i thought that was 50% off" she responded sarcastically "We sell this all the time." I said "oh, well how much are the tea lights normally?" (Also in a box marked 50% off) and her response was again sarcastic "We sell those all the time too" I said "Well, I dont understand why they were on the shelf marked 50% off" She says "Well, I dont know why they were back there" and proceeds, I said "Well, go ahead and take the candleabra off" she does and then starts to pull the tea lights back out and I said "No, thats ok I will go ahead and get those" When I went to write a check I asked her if I could borrow her pen. She acted annoyed and snatched it out of her hair and set it on the counter, I wrote my check and then handed it o her only to have her snatch it out of my hand. when she she handed my receipt she very rudely said "Thank you" and started to check out the next customer, I stopped and said "Im sorry if Ive irritated you" She turned to me and said "I said Thank you" Then turned to the customers behind me and proceed to start complaining to them about me. Personally, this is not appropriate customer service but it seems to be common for the Walmart in Thomasville, GA. 75% of the associated there seem to be miserable about their jobs and take it out on the customers. I understand that this time of year there are a lot of cranky, rude customers. I worked in the retail businness for a long time. I do not however deserve to be treated rudely because the cashier is having a bad day.

Totally agree with you! Sad this was posted over 6 months ago and nothing has changed! The store is filthy and the people that work there are so over-worked they can't do their jobs properly. Instead of fixing issues and better training, they say they can't do anything about it or have no way to hold anyone accountable. I think they need to adjust the chain of command, duties for each manager and get back to basics of training employees.

Walmart avoid this store like a plague

On the above date my daughter and I appeared at store #8090 in orlando florida like we did for the past 21/2 years, my daughter is handicap and can not walk two steps and she depends on the electric power carts to shop. We were told that the electric carts could not be taking out of the store because IRON REFORCE BARS WERE INSTALLED ON THEM SO THEY COULD NOT BE TAKEN OUT OF THE STORE, I was able to get one out anyway. After an hour of shopping my daughter had to go to the ladies room, knowing that the power chairs could not make the turn into the ladies room by customer services, I had taken her to the ladies room in back of the store next to layaway, when we try to go thru the doorway the iron bar was higher then the doorway opening so I bent it to get my daughter to the toilet on time, I was yelled at by a heavy set girl who said I cant bend the rod and was told she will call the manger. A older lady named Stephanie came out from the back room yelling that I could not take the into that handy cap bathroom I ask her what restroom are the handicap to use, she said the one up by customer service, at that time I told her that the power carts could not make the turn. To my surprise nasty she replied "that the power carts are a supplied by Wa l- Mart as a Courtesy" as she was walking from me and saying repeatedly "I cant hear you".

Walmart clueless people

I bought a few things there and used my debit card. swiped and requested $100 cash back. Transaction completed and then the stupid girl said she couldn't give me $100 because she didn't have that much in the drawer. That was it! She had no intention of giving me MY money after they debited it out of the bank. Not only that, when I asked for a manager, she told me "the manager doesn't have time" Since I obviously needed to cause a scene, The manager finally came over and explained to the dumb girl that she had to give me the money. This girl needs to go back to kindergarten.

7-11 would be a convenience store...wawa is a convenience store...circle k is a convenience store. walmart is NOT A CONVENIENCE STORE...its a market...genius. and if you look to the opposite of the cash registers you might find a bank inside the wal-mart. you can use the atm there...genius...but yeah you did the cash back option and they are most certainly obligated to get you your money.

Walmart was rudely told that I could not enter with my book bag

Today I was at the Hickory, NC WM and was rudly told that I coult, nt enter with my bookbag.I asked why and was told for security reasons.I respond with "what about people with purses/baby bags/brief cases" etc. and was told that was different.I then asked where to put my bag until I left and was told to put it behind a walmart sign that had dirt there from where someone had sweept.I then ask to see the manager for at least a reciept before I left my bag there incase it got stolen since they did not offer a secure area or anything to store it in.The manager came and locked it in a room near the entrance and said to have someone call him when I left to get it back.I then ask him about "why no bookbag" and was given that a bookbag could conceal a weapon.I again ask about people with other types of bags.I was ignored and exspressed my anger at being discrimanated at like this. The manager was J.T. Calhourn at the hickory, nc store.I am very unhappy about this and will persue it further especially since when I left I observed other people in the store with book bags and other types bags.

Walmart the sound just quit working on it

I purchased what I consider an expensive radar detector ($93.57)from Wal-Mart, less than a year ago. It was a Cobra XRS 747, now that it doesnt work anymore they will not let me exchange it for another one. I have my receipt. Its not like I want a newer updated version of it, the sound just quit working on it, and I know that their policy is 90 days with a receipt, but I worked there for 3 years...I have seen managers totally disregard the policy for certain customers. I am a customer just like anyone else... I should be entitled to the same treatment.

Walmart they are not following their posted return policy

Today I tried to return a car code reader to Walmart in Germantown, MD.

At the returns department, Eboni interrogated me, which included asking whether I've used the car code reader.

I replied that I've tried it once. Looking just like new, the car code reader's neatly in its original packagings, along with everything that came with it.

Eboni arrived at the conclusion that I used it (and she would later repeatedly stress and emphasize that it's USED) and therefore she could only give me an exchange or store credit.

She claimed that the posted return policy said that a return merchandise must be unopened and unused for a refund.

She also implied that she's correct, saying that she's been working at Walmart for 11 years.

My friend and I asked her to tell us where in the posted policies that said what she claimed but she just repeated that it's in the policies posted.

We then proceeded to read the entire return policy posted with all the exceptions and confirmed that nowhere in the policies stated that the return merchandise must be unopened and unused except that 'prerecorded music, movies, and software products must be returned unopened.'

I guess in all the 11 years she had worked at Walmart processing returns, not once had she spent 5 minutes to read the posted return policy.

We told her that her claim was contradictory to the posted return policy but she didn't change her mind. Nor did she at least try to read the posted policy to prove us wrong.

Eboni recruited 3 more Walmart employees to get involved - 4 people against 2. If my friend weren't there with me, 4 against 1.

We again pointed out what the posted policy said. In response, we were provided with several unreasonable answers:

1. 'The said policy is in the internal written procedures.'

My friend and I were handed some printed papers that supposedly contained their claim.

It's unreasonable because there should not be additional exceptions to the posted policy in the store unbeknowst to the customers.

2. 'The said policy is spelled out on the website.'

Firstly, I bought the item from the Walmart store, not online at Walmart.com.

Secondly, the said policy cannot be found in the Walmart store (vs. Walmart.com) return policy online.

http://walmartstores.com/7658.aspx

Thirdly, http://www.walmart.com/cp/Returns-Policy/538459#37441 is Walmart.com return policy, not Walmart store return policy.

Fourthly, even Walmart.com's 'Return Guidelines by Department' do not include any policy exception for car code readers.

3. 'There are different return policies for different departments.'

All return policies, including policies specific to different departments, should have been posted in the store.

4. 'We can't post all return policies in the store.'

Why not?

5. 'If merchandise could be used and returned for a refund, then everyone would be doing it.'

It's about what the posted policy allowed. Possible ramifications of the posted policy were irrelevant.

After spending a lot of time and efforts, a refund was eventually granted.

Walmart work ethics

My wife used to work at Walmart and I can tell you that it is a terrible place to work. A deli associate was let go because she was unable to work because she was sick. She had seen a doctor and discovered that she had pneumonia. Walmart fired her for calling in sick, even though she had a note from a doctor. Another deli associate was let go because her husband had kidnapped their child and she was told by police to go to the station. She recovered the child but lost her job because she had to leave work. Walmart no longer hires full-time workers and are inventing reasons to get rid of the full-time workers that they have to save money on employee benefits. They also show anti-union video to new employees. There are no Walmart stores in New York because businesses are required to be union affiliated. Our daughter worked at a Walmart in Illinois when Obama was running for president. Walmart employees were being urged not to vote for Obama because he would raise minimum wage. Walmart is at the top of my s...list and should be run out of any town or city that they reside. My wife left Walmart to work for a company that is union, has a code of conduct that is required to be followed by all that includes honesty, integrity and work ethic, the basis of their core values. Walmart is all about their bottom line and they don't care how they get it. They should be very ashamed of the company. I want them to change how they operate their company. I need assistance to do this by having the ability to show how unhappy people are with them. If you have a complaint, or even a compliment, E-mail it to [protected]@yahoo.com and help me make a difference.

What kills me is the same company that buys from sweatshops in order to undersell everyone else turns around and pretends to be altruistic. You can be a part of the Walmart program only as long as you espouse their code in thought, word, and deed. For instance, if you win their hundred thousand dollar Walmart education grant, do you think you will remain the same person? No! It turns you into a fascist pet pig; all that hard grubbing translates into stinginess when it comes to valuing student researchers; you become a paragon of the Walmart philosophy particularly where it comes to chinese slave labor. That grantee wouldn't offer me any kind of reimbursement for attending conferences on my own nickel, or purchasing educational materials, or even offer a gift certificate. That's what you call stingy. And controlling. And manipulative. Not to mention hidden agendas.
