Walmart store renovation

I've alway had a love/hate relationship with Walmart. I love the low prices, but the lines and the lack of customer service and quite frustrating at times. You get what you pay for. Recently though my local Walmart has been doing some renovation and the store is very different even from day to day. Right now the electronics department is split in two. This was very confusing and in the processes of trying to buy a new computer and a few accessories I found myself walking back and forth across the store a few more times than I'm willing to admit.

I wish they would just close the store for a week or two and get it over with rather than dragging this out for months. I know it'd cost them quite a bit in lost sales, but they customers I think would be much happier.

I see where you're coming from but closing Wal-Mart for a few days would be devastating given the sales, hold times on food product, etc. They just can't financially do that.

Walmart rude employee

On Tuesday May 25, 2010 I took my children into Wal Mart in Kingfisher to do my shopping as usual, while we were in the process of checking out my son decides to have a meltdown, he is 8 years old and he has a mild for of autism and cannot control when these meltdowns will occur . While we were in line an associate walks by and tells me "to stick a bottle in his mouth maybe that will shut him up " refering to my son . This was a young male who works there and apparently has no sense of when to keep his opinions to himself . I realize that hearing a child crying and hollaring is stressful, I was stresed out enough trying to quiet him down, I did not need the added stress and embaressement of having a young kid smart off to me . I want to say Thank You to the more mature associates that were working that day, they were at least trying to help me calm my son down. As for that young kid who smarted off that day I hope appropriate action is taken to deal with his inappropriate behavior . I hope more employees are informed of this condtion and become more understanding of parents who deal with this disorder. Autism is real and comes in many forms .

IF you can't control your child or your child has a fake disease that is used to excuse bad behavior then please don't take them in public.. nobody wants to listen to your misbehaving child's "Meltdowns" that you refuse to control.

It doesn't matter whether she spoke to a manager or not anyway, that's an irrelevant question altogether. She's just venting and letting people know to look out for that store. Priorities.

Walmart wal-mart - is it wal-marts policey to inconvenience a customer

Wal-mart needs to reconsider their hiring process. My friends' children work as managers at Department stores (Kmart)and recognize that customer service is what affects the bottom line. These ladies are young but have degrees and brains! I was at the Irvine Wal-mart t and had the displeasure of dealing with a manager with the IQ of my shoe size named Harry Garrison. I had come - with a receipt - to return a DVD that did not work. It had already been exchanged once and I refused to exchange it the second time as it was clearly a bad batch. After a 15 minute battle of raised voices in front of other customers and her total refusal to return my money she agreed to change it for the 3rd time. I accepted - went to another Target and returned it. Now you tell me! Is itWal-mart's policy to inconvenience a customer like this? What sense did that make. The DVD was open when I returned it so she did not want to take it back. She quoted the "law" to me that it was Wal-mart's s policy and no Government policy could override it. REALLY? So she exchanged it for an unopened one that I could return? Go figure! THAT my friends was VERY intelligent. Would you not say?

Walmart false advertising

I went online to Walmart.com about 2 weeks ago and noticed a special of Pepsi products for $5.00 a case. I went to my local Walmart and they said they DO NOT HONOR ONLINE PRICES. I asked why, they said because the online prices would always be cheaper. I was pretty pissed. They suggested ordering it online. I went back to the website and there is NO WAY TO ORDER IT ONLINE! Or any other grocery items.

This is what you call FALSE ADVERTISING. I'm checking with a lawyer about this to see if I have a case.

Taken right from www.walmart.com

"Prices shown on Walmart.com are online prices only. Walmart stores do not honor or match prices from Walmart.com, other online sellers or advertisements outside of a store's local trade territory."

You don't have a case when the writing is right there on there website.

Walmart accidents

My daughter had an accident [protected] at this Walmart store #1804. She was sitting on the bottom edge of the cart while I was looking at an item on the shelf and she rolled the cart and got her index finger stuck in the wheel and the metal piece and it ripped her fingernail down to her first knuckle. We went to the front of the store so I could better access the finger in the bathroom. It was worse than I thought. We went out because I was going to leave my cart up front and a manager and two other staff members were waiting for me. They were very helpfull in getting my four (4) year old daughter calmed down enough to bandage the finger and get our information. I was told a call back would be given to me that following Sunday to check on her. I informed them I wanted a claim filed and I was taking her to the hospital. The co-manager was very helpful and directed me to do such as well.
The problem started when no call back was given to me and when I called Monday I got a lady who was not to eager to talk to me and said I hope she is doing better. I asked for claim information and she said I would receive a call in a few days. No cal came and I called on [protected] three times to no avail because she was in the office and no one else could speak with me regarding the issue.
I finally get a response on the 24th of May only to tell me that they needed to file the info and someone would call me. I stated I was told that last week. She said she would get it initiated.
This is a 4 year old girl, who yes shouldn't have been sitting on the cart but had an accident and no one is taking responsibility on getting this resolved. Her fingernail had to be surgically removed and stiched back on to avoid her nail bed from being damaged any further then it already had. A four year old girl who now has to worry about her nail looking ugly.
I am going everywhere I can to file a complaint-this is ridiculous customer service. This is supposed to be a family store but they have no care in the world! I fear what they do for other chidren who have accidents with there non-children friendly shopping carts!

A concerned and pissed Mother- Meagan S.

I'm sorry this happened to your daughter, but it wasn't negligence of Walmart. It was a accident and I don't think you can sue. My son fell out of a cart at Walmart do to my negligence of letting him stand in the buggy. Luckily he was fine, but since it was my fault I didn't try to sue them

Just have to get this out there:

There is NO WAY under Gods Green Roof that that is the hand of a 4year old ? Maybe 7 0r 8...4 ?

Just saying...take a good look at the size of that hand and remember or look at your own 4 year old...

just ignore the message i posted above this message...it was for a different complaint.

You need to take responibility of your actions. Where was your logic when you put your own child at the bottom of the cart? You put your child in harms way! Walmart should have on sale would be common sense. When your kid makes a mistake she will learn to blame someone else instead being her fault. Is that what you want your kid?

They are doing there jobs. its a crummy job yes but it is a job after all. They don't like it anymore then you do. But if they do not respond in going after the customer and or contact Walmart security the greeter might get fired. If you don't want your receipt checked thats fine in truth wise don't shop at stores that has a receipt checker...But also be aware those stores have expensive items than Walmart has on sale.

This is for sure not a Walmart matter, it's totally the mothers fault. I agree with the *sue* happy. It's disgusting she wants it to be a way to get something free, and that is exactly what ahw is doing.

You said yourself carts aren't children friendly. why should Walmart pay your medical bills? its not their fault you weren't watching your child. she shouldn't have been sitting in the bottom of the cart in the first place. watch your child better and she won't get hurt. Walmart is not a babysitter.

Also have little sympathy for parents who put their kid in the seat but don't fasten the seatbelt.

The seatbelt is there for a reason. That reason is because kids have leaned over the side of the seat and have fallen, bashing their heads on the concrete floor, and some have died or been permanently injured from that fall.

Some people are too dumb to have kids.

Well DUH...

Sorry about your kid's injury, but any intelligent adult knows the bottom of the cart isn't for passengers and keeps their kids safe by not letting them go there.

Walmart lost hub caps

We went to the WalMart in Aberdeen South Dakota to get new tires. When we got home we were short a hub cap. We called them and they said they had video of us leaving with all four, and they refused to replace it. We have never had any problem with our hub caps before this. If they had not done a shoddy job of putting them back on I would still have four hub caps. They do not appear to care that the loss was their fault, as long as they did not physically lose the hub cap or "forget" to put it back on they won't assume responsibility.

I would have immediately contacted the store manager. If he wasn't able to handle the situation (comping you store credit, covering the purchase of a new hub cap, etc.) then you can contact someone above him. (District Manager or someone involved with customer service).

Never give up - you are the customer. Now if this was an unrelated item that fell off or was stolen, - then I could understand their response - but this is something directly relating to a service that they provided. If they had to remove it and reinstall that & it fell off - they are responsible.

If your tire fell off... they'd certainly be responsible. They should be happy something like that didn't happen & help you out.

Walmart manager can not honor the sale ad

I have a big complaint! I took a sale ad into Walmart on January 20, 2010. They match sale ads and the store of the ad was out of the particular item I wanted to purchase. I pick up the sale ad item and some other non sale ad items I head for the register and an assistant Manager stops and informs me that He cannot honor the sale ad. I show him the ad and it is verified that it is a valid sale ad but, a delivery guy of the product I was price matching told the manager that it was a misprint. He did not give me the match! I was completely in shock because Walmart's customer guarantee is that they price match any competitors sale ad. I shop several times per WEEK at Walmart but, maybe not now!I received a raincheck from the sale ad store for the products that I needed! I think I will start doing more shopping at that store.

The ad match guarantee also states, just like every other ad matching by every store in the United States that offers the promotion, that misprints and errors are NOT ACCEPTED. Even Publix, who ad matches, does NOT match a misprinted ad price. The manager was in the right. You can read this yourself on walmartstores.com.

Walmart very unknowledgable wardrobe department

I love Walmart, please understand that I buy there often, but refuse to by clothing. Why, you ask...I am 62, love to dress up, skirts, sweaters, dresses, slacks and jackets. Wait...I'm 62 going on 35, I do not look 62 nor do I act 62, and I'm not ignorant of dress codes, but I like to pick flowers, not wear them. In Lebanon, Oregon, our Walmart has nothing cute, with a flare, nothing bright without the glare, everything is out dated, and over rated. Give me some style and I'll spend my big bucks at your store. What human has been given the right to act as consultants for myself and other gals here in Lebanon. There is either a very unknowledgable wardrobe department, or some female that has a mother complex and hates women over 40. Stupid clothes...

Well, I do have to agree that Walmart's apparel department gets some pretty awful clothing. When I worked there we had a bunch of ugly, floral blouses that got marked all the way down to a dollar before finally starting to sell. Some still ended up getting donated to charity.

Unfortunately, Walmart seems to assume that only poor people shop there and that all poor people dress like "trailer trash"...and before anyone gets all pissed at me, I'm using that term because that is a sterotypical term that people recognize, not because I actually think people who live in trailer homes are trash. Thank you.

Here's a news flash honey...you MAY not be the only customer. Prescriptions (80% or better) come in via automated refill request, e-scribe, phone, fax, email, and all are expected to be ready when they get there. My pharmacy typically opens with 50-75 prescriptions waiting to be filled from over night. You may look like you're the first one in line when there are actually 50 people ahead of you.

Sounds like they are under staffed. This can happen for a number of reasons. 1) Poor pharmacy management by the pharmacy manager. 2) Some techs have quit and it takes quite a while to get a replacement.
For a number of years, Wal-Mart has not allowed the pharmacy manager to have a cashier. A tech has to do double duty, filling rx's and operating the cash register. A tech will normally finish filling a rx they are counting before going to the cash register. This cuts down on the possibility of a misfill. But, it leaves the cash register unattended for several minutes. Wal-Mart has just changed their policy about a cashier and pharmacies are allowed to have a part time cashier. The pharmacy manager may not even know this, because Wal-Mart has not notified the pharmacies.
Wait times can vary from store to store depending on the number of rx's that the stores fill per day. There are situations where some stores will take much longer to get a rx filled than another store. The time of the month makes a big difference. Expect to wait longer if you take a rx to the pharmacy at the first of the month. Everyone is there to get their meds!
On a good day, a Wal-Mart pharmacy can get your rx filled in 20 minutes. But, there are a number of factors that can cause the time to be longer. If there is a problem with your insurance, this will add substantially to the time you have to wait. If you are just getting a refill, be sure and phone in the rx number before going to the pharmacy, preferably the day before you intend to pick it up. The worst thing you can do is take your bottle to the pharmacy to get it refilled. Always call ahead of time. And, don't get mad if it is not ready. If it is not ready then there is a problem, it could be with your insurance or the pharmacy is out of the drug.
There is another thing you need to think about. You can drop off your rx and be the only person standing outside the pharmacy and it could still be 30 minutes or more before your rx is ready. Why? Because there will be other patients that have dropped off rx's and they are out shopping. There are people that have phoned in refills and they are on their way to pick it up. There are people coming from the emergency room and the doc has phoned in their rx. There are people coming from physicians offices and they have faxed, electronically sent, or phone in their patients rx. Any number of these people can be in pain too. The techs fill the rx's as they are fed to them by the computer. The computer organizes the rx's by when they dropped off, phoned or faxed. I know you are in pain. But, there are other people ahead of you. Yes, they are there, maybe not in front of the pharmacy, but coming.

Walmart oil change

I got an High Milage Oil Change for my 1990 Nissan Maxima. After I got the car, I drove it home and on my way home the engine shut off on me. I never had that problem or any previous problem with the car, its the first. The same day I tried calling the store and the TLE department and no one picked up. Its a 24 hour 7 days a week store! So there shouldn't be no reason why the phone calls are not being answered. Before this car I had other cars where I brought to Walmart for an oil change and the car would make awful sounds and it would take a long time to start. I told myself that I would never get an oil change from Walmart but that day I had no choice and I was desperate to get an oil change and while I'm there I can shop. Today I went in the store and talk to the department manager and he said that them changing my oil does not have anything to do with my car shutting off. He ask if my engine light came on and I said no but my oil light came on. He then replied its probably my alternator. I couldn't believe it! If it was my alternator then why after I got the oil change it started acting up?! I vow I would never get my oil change at Walmart.

I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE. AFTER MY CAR WAS "FINISHED" I HAD ANOTHER APPT TO GO TO SO WHEN I GOT HOME I CHECKED THE CAR OVER TO SEE IF WALMART HAD DONE WHAT I ASKED AND PAID FOR . MY WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID WAS NOT FILLED, WINDSHIELD NOT CLEANED, AND INSIDE NOT VACUUMED.
I CALLED WALMART TO COMPLAIN AND THE LADY TOLD ME SHE WROTE MY NAME DOWN AND I COULD BRING MY CAR BACK AND THEY WOULD DO EVERYTHING THEY MISSED. SHE WAS VERY NICE ABOUT IT BUT I HAVE TO FIND THE TIME TO TAKE MY CAR BACK AND WAIT AGAIN WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE. I LET THEM KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND I AM TIRED OF IT. JUST BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN DOES NOT GIVE ANY THE RIGHT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME WHEN IT COMES TO MY VEHICLE. I CAN CHANGE MY OIL BUT I PAID TO HAVE IT DONE AND I EXPECT TO HAVE IT DONE RIGHT. I AM COMPLAINING TO EVERYBODY I CAN.

i am not sure why you are blaming wal-mart with the alternator problem as that would have nothing to do with a oil change. Check your oil cap if it is not screwed on all the way it can cause that light to come on. If it would have been the check engine light it could have been just a gas cap loose (it happened to me soon as i tightened it the alarm went away a day later)

Walmart refused to return battery core charge

I have four tractor batteries I purchased from the Wal-Mart in Lebanon, Ohio. They have never actually been used as to draining current from them. They have been recharged once.

As I live about 20 - 30 minutes away by car, I called customer service first as I no longer have receipts (they were damaged by water and were no longer legible). I explained I would be purchasing a different kind of lead acid battery. They said fine, bring them in. So I did, and took them to the auto desk as instructed. The ***-ociate refused to return the core charge, and when I went to the manager, he said I "..only had 30 days to return them anyway". Apparently he doesn't understand, derspite my explaining it to him, that the core charge is not a return but a deposit because of the recyclying neccesary.

They are also penny wise and pound foolish as I won't, of course, be buying a new battery there but also IO won't be sp[ending a dime there ever again.

As I worked for Wal-Mart for a time I am familiar with the idea that once they have money, no matter what the idea is to keep it, regardless of the situation, but this angers me enough to turn me into an anti-Mal-Wart activist. A core charge is a deposit, it's not supposed to be part of their profit. Now I have four tractor batteries I'm stuck with that I have no use for.

I am with you and have, through their Imperialist attitude become a "non-Walmart" activist. I really believe that Sam Walton is rolling over in his grave at how corrupt his relatives have let his pride and joy become. I won't buy another stick of gum from these global corporate raiders. Better to shop local. My local small business auto shop gets me anything I need. My local grocery store is a pleasure to shop at. Walmart is a leeching profit sucking disease that we have to combat if the U.S.A. and small business will survive.

Walmart possible racial profiling

I purchased 3 items and paid and exited via the Garden Centre door. On exit I was asked for and presented the receipt. The guard took the receipt and looked at it for almost a minute; it had 3 items. He then initialed the receipt. As I was preparing to leave the parking lot I noticed that others had exited but the guard did not look at their receipts. I had 1 small bag while others left with larger bags and soil.

When I spoke with the Store Manager; in my opinion, he was most unhelpful. He mentioned to me several times that he was not present to see what happened. This is not how a manager/leader is supposed to respond to a customer. If I took that attitude with clients, I would be fired. He made no effort to keep a customer but sought to attribute blame to the customer. Yes, I am now a former Wal-mart customer. They may be the closest to my home, but they are not the only game in town, they are not the cheapest, they do not have the best goods and do not provide the best value.

Incidentally, the guard is South Asian; I am Black but I suspect he may be following store (implied) policy.

Nothing new, . When I used to work at Walmart, I noticed the mgrs (all of them) would preach the store policies to us (ho hum) and wouldnt follow them themselves. Total hypocrites. We never respected them. And some managers had absolutely no backbone to stand up to the customers. But yet they had no problem writing us up for every little damn thing. I once got written up because of a CSMs mistake. I really dont know what kind of training Walmart gives their managers. I hope they dont expect respect from their employees. They are gonna have to earn it.

LOL the only job you can get is at WalMart because you can't use proper grammar. Get an education and then you won't have to work a teenager's job.

Oh, apologies for the typo. I intended it to read: If you *were* refunded your money, how are you "stuck with no money"?

Walmart we were victimized by having our checking account hacked

My husbands debit card was stolen recently and used at walmart.com. We caught the transaction quickly and called before the items were shipped out. We were told we would receive a refund. A week later my husband called to get the status of the transaction only to find the items were shipped and we will not given a refund. We were not entitled to know the items we purchased or the location of the shipment. We were victimized by having our checking account hacked into and walmart wouldn't as much as apologize for the incident. The most humorous aspect of this situation is that a company called CA Sunnyvale ARCOT systems charged my account shortly before the walmart transaction. I later was told that they are hired by Walmart to make sure that the credit card is not stolen. I paid for that service...go figure!

Instead of wasting your time with walmart why didn't you just contact the credit card company? Cancel the card, report it stolen, dispute the charges. I mean, that's the standard procedure when you get a card stolen from you.

Walmart bad service

Received a laptop as a gift with no receipt. Attempted return of laptop to upgrade to a better processor (approx $100 more); box was factory sealed (never opened) and had waybill from HP to Walmart on box. They refused to facilitate return - overall bad experience. Beware of purchasing electronics from Walmart as they give you a hard time. And there's no one that you can even reason with - they have very young employees with little customer service sense and no business acumen (even the managers). I have sent them a complaint and awaiting a response. Ended up getting receipt from gift giver (very embarassing for me!) and exchanging laptop. I've learned my lesson though, low prices comes at a high price to your dignity! Next time, I will support establishements that value their clients.

Thank you for your interest in my complaint, your obvious passion for the other side of the matter and your insightfulness is inspiring. Good luck with the job hunt... but with your level of intellect and maturity, I don't believe luck is needed.

Obviously you don't pay attention to detail and your knowledge when it comes to most retail policies across Canada is limited. I wasn't trying to receive a refund or a store credit. I was returning an intact product, that could be resold as new to the next customer. I wanted to simply pay the difference for the better laptop because as you stated a laptop is an expensive product and while it was bought it good faith, it didn't fit the type of activities I would be using it for. Secondly, you obviously have little faith in humanity if you think that the typical person would steal something off the shelf. I am a hard working individual with integrity and like 99% of the population would never dream of shoplifting or trying to return stolen merchandise. I do however agree that I am the one who embarassed myself and suffered the blow to my dignity by asking for the receipt from the gift giver, but if you examine my situation closely you would see that this exchange wouldn't have cost Walmart anything, actually they would have profitted from the exchange. As far as me having limited life experience, I would look in the mirror, I'm sure that most people have received a gift in the past that wasn't exactly what they wanted and have tried to exchange so that the gift wasn't given in vain. Are you perhaps a Walmart employee/manager in disguise? Come on, you can tell me, promise I won't hold it against you! And lastly, my age is inconsequential to this situation - because afterall I am the customer but I am from an era where the customer is always right and obviously you my friend come from a different time where you think that customer loyalty is meaningless. I do however see a change in the service and retail landscape and there's a positive return to good customer service and people like you will be weeded out or you will conform to the 'new' policy. There's just too much competition out there to provide bad service or to let a customer leave unhappy.

Although Wal-Mart seems to be pushing self-checkouts as an improvement in the customer experience, I find it to be insulting to loyal customers.
Yesterday, I visited store #1004 in Toronto and my shopping experience was the worst! I hesitated to go to that store, since my previous experience after the self-checkouts were introduced was unsatisfactory, but I only wanted a few items and this store is close. Note to self – next time, I will pay more for actual service.
I arrived at the store to find that my first self-service act would be to find a shopping cart. The pen in the lower level was full, but the down escalator was in pieces, leading to a long line up at the elevator. So, I searched the outdoor cart returns and finally found a functional cart.
After purchasing 15 items (including multiples of 3 items), I got in line for full service because I do not agree with self-checkout. Previously, I would have visited an express checkout for a few items, but those have been removed, leaving approximately 6 full service checkouts. With the removal of full service checkouts, most customers do NOT benefit. The benefit of lower labour costs due to staff reduction goes to Wal-Mart, not the customer.
It appears that in an effort to further push customers wishing full service to reconsider, the cashier working cash #15 was incompetent. She had no knowledge of many common sense tips (e.g. multiple items of the same cost). I waited as she tried unsuccessfully to process 36 units of the same item several times, before she scanned each individually. Same for multiple cans of juice, multiple cases of pop, etc. Eventually, she finished one of two orders from the couple in front of me, and they eventually walked away from the second order. A customer service staff member showed up after we waited in line for her to proceed, and told her to suspend the order, and asked if she knew who to call if she had questions. My cashier said no, she did not know who to call. This is NOT a criticism of the cashier, it is a criticism of the training provided, and the decision to post this untrained cashier at a full service checkout on a Saturday morning. She was not prepared to work independently.
Eventually, the same customer service person came back and took the items from the suspended transaction away and the cashier started my order. As she moved my bags from the front of my order to the bagging area, she asked if I needed bags. I said no, and indicated that she was moving my bags. Next, she asked if the multiple units of items that I placed together, with labels facing her on the conveyer belt were the same. I said yes. After more than 40 minutes at the checkout, I had my very small order purchased and packed (I ended up repacking most of it).
I realize that this is a business, but if your goal was to improve the overall shopping experience for anyone with more than 10 items, you failed. I am insulted by the lack lustre effort made to provide customer service. Luckily, I have other options.

Walmart stinky jeans

I bought three pairs of faded glory jeans at Walmart. I loved the style and fit. They didn't smell in the store. But after I got them home and washed them they smell so bad I can't wear them. They smell like burnt rubber. I kept my receipt and luckily they said they will take them back. But I'm so upset. All the other cloths washed with them are ruined. They smell too and I can't get the smell out of any of the cloths. I tried everything I could. They shouldn't have them on the market if this is such a problem. It ruined about 100 dollars worth of other pants that were washed with them.

I had the same happen to me. They didn't stink in the store..Brought them home, they were awful. The blue jeans and khakis stopped stinking after about 5-7 washes (lost the receipt, already took the tags off, so I couldn't take them back). I left the black ones hang on the line for 2 weeks, they still stink horribly. When I wore them after only washing them once, I had a mild anaphylaxis episode. Tight chest, nausea, hard to breathe, my lips swelled up, my legs got horrible white, itchy bumps on them that lasted for over a month (I discontinued wearing the pants after I figured out they were making me sick). I didn't recognize the allergic reaction for anaphylaxis so never got treatment... I COULD HAVE DIED.
I'm throwing the black ones away and writing the company to complain. Thanks for the made-in-China CRAP, Faded Glory.

if you soak the stinky clothes in a combination of simple green and fabric softener (with some water) for a couple days it will get the smell out. If that can get the smell of diesel fuel out the rubber smell should be no problem. Then was as usual. Good luck

Walmart walmart may have good prices but the rest of the service stinks

I have been going to the Anderson, California Walmart to have our prescriptions refilled for awhile now and have had more problems there then anywhere else I have had them filled.

1. - Call in a prescription 2 days ahead of time only to be told that it hasn't been filled yet when I go to pick it up. This has happened several times and on ALL TYPES of medicines. (Not Just Narcotics)

2. - Tell me they won't refill a prescription because it hasn't been 30 days yet. (With a hand written prescription from the doctor that I was going to pay cash for.)They said it is there policy!

3. - Waiting in line that is 2 or 3 isles long and only 1 cashier working the register.

Walmart may have good prices but the rest of the service stinks. The employee's all look like they don't want to be there and who blames them with everybody complaining.

If things don't change I am going back to Rite Aid as they do price match!

The reason your meds may not be ready is because your insurance will not pay for it on the day you phoned the store. If your doctor writes you a rx for a controlled substance(pain or sleeping med) and you are suppose to have several more days supply at home, the pharmacy is bound by law to not fill your new rx. Yes, makes no difference if it is a newly written rx from your doctor, the pharmacist is bound by state board pharmacy regulations. This is to prevent folks like you from becoming and addict. If the med was not a controlled substance, then your insurance is probably denying it. Even if it is another type rx, the computer may be blocking the pharmacist from filling it because it is far too soon to get it refilled.
If the wait time is always extremely long, more than 1 hour, then find another pharmacy to shop.

Walmart I leave this pharmacy so upset and a couple of times in tears

Has anyone had problems with a pharmacy clerk at the Walmart in Georgetown Tx.? I don't know her name, but she hispanic, short gray/white hair, about 5 feet tall, and darn right rude! I leave this pharmacy so upset and a couple of times in tears. This should not happen! It's a simple matter of picking up your pres. meds and thats it. But this woman has had it in for me ever since the first time I was there and she corrected me about the way I pronounce my last name. I told that the way I say it is the way I prefer to say it and she remembers me everytime and goes out of her way to belittle me about the way I say it. From that day it has gone down hill! Now I have to show proof to her that I have insurance, even tough it should be on record already. Each time I go, its a different amount for the same meds. She claims she has, as she says, "no control" as to how much it is, and I agree but she loves the fact that she has to send me to speak to the other person at another window to get corrected. and she loves that she gets to saY, OUT LOUD, "YOU DON'T HAVE INSURANCE". Of which, she's wrong, because I do. Why does Walmart keep this person on staff? I don't understand it!

The cashier is correct in saying that she does not know about the price of your meds. She is a cashier! The only way to get an answer is to go to another window and talk to a pharmacist or tech. I have to agree with you that Wal-Mart does have some rude folks working for them. Of course, you will find this anywhere. If you believe the cashier has been rude to you, then call the home office in Bentonville, AR. It is 1-800-WALMART. Or, you will find the name of the pharmacy district manager somewhere on display outside the pharmacy. Get the district managers phone number and call him. A complaint to the home office will come down to the district manager. So, either way the district manager will be the one that handles the complaint. And, he will be calling the pharmacy and questioning the pharmacy manager about it. Wal-Mart does check up on complaints. The district manager will either have the pharmacy manager phone you or he will phone you.
If nothing changes, then go down the street to another pharmacy.
