Actually, I use Great Value products on a regular basis, but with two caveats: 1) I NEVER use generic dairy products (which is almost all of what you said you have tried) and 2) I never expect name-brand quality or performance from generic products.
You seem to have gone into these purchases without the correct mindset. While generic products can sometimes be a good way to save money, you never consider them an equal replacement for the real thing - that way you aren't disappointed when they don't perform well, but you are pleasantly surprised when they do.
With that said, however, I have used many Great Value products in the past and continue to do so now that I have been happy with including, but not limited to, cereal, kool-aid, uncooked pasta noodles, etc. I have also used Great Value products that I have been very unhappy with including, but not limited to, paper towels, paper plates, some canned vegetables, etc.
It is definitely a trial-and-error process with generic products and you have to be willing to put the time and effort into finding which ones will work for you and which ones won't. Otherwise, just purchase name-brand.

Walmart, I've about had enough of this. this is the 3rd time that I've bought a 12 back of your 100% Arabica French Roast Ground Coffee . opened it when I got home only to find 10 k-cups in it instead of the 12 it says are supposed to be in it! i'm a big coffee drinker and get more than annoyed when I get robbed of my coffee! either you send me what I already paid for or i'm shopping at Meijer from now on! as they say, 3rd time's the charm.
This product claims to Fresh Seal. None of the bags in my box sealed. Needed to use as I've pack and water poured out of every one! They do not seal!
How do you (the Great Value company) get away with selling this? Things that are organic are NOT ultra-pasteurized and ultra-pasteurized foods aren't organic. These are 2 conflicting things posted on the same product and most people don't pay much attention to it. But this is clearly a FALSE advertisement, which is illegal, by the way. So how did you get away with this?
I have purchased Walmart's Great Value Natural Whole grain brown rice in 5 lb. bags. Twice I have experienced moth larvae hatching inside a closed bag! The first time it happened my bag had been opened. I used some rice then always reseal it with a twist tie to keep the air out. I thought maybe moths had somehow gotten in there from my home. But the 2nd time it happened, the bag was SEALED! I didn't see just one moth larvae - there were dozens! When I cook brown rice I do not want to be eating bugs! You can't detect the moth larvae until they hatch because the little bugs look so much like a grain of brown rice - until they hatch! This is horrible! I will never buy this brand of rice again!

WalMart does NOT take all coupons. I was just there and since the COMPUTER wouldn't accept my coupons, they refused to take them. They did not expire, and I had bought these same items a few months ago with coupons and every thing worked fine then...why not now!
My grand kids and husband love the BBQ great value chips. We always buy the multi-pack for the value. Well this weekend we had a ball game and I bought one of these big multi-packs. Turned out to not be such a "great value". Ten of the 22 bags only had 3 small chips in each bag. I'm not sure if I will buy these again. Sorry!
ALTUS, OKLAHOMA -- My friend and I drove over 90 miles to the Walmart in Altus, OK to price match a item that required a store card at Walgreens and I was told they could not price match. The cashier called the manager over and she said that they could not do it. We called the 1-800-Walmart and were told it was up to the manager at the store. What good is a price match policy if they won't honor it? Very disappointed and upset.
I purchased a cell phone which broke on the ninth day I owned it. The store would not take it back without original packaging. They would not take the card (unused) that I purchased for the phone, 55 dollars. I am stuck with a phone that doesn't work and a card I cannot use. What a lousy deal and a lousy experience. Walmart let me down.
During my trip to Walmart today, my check was declined. With the receipt of decline from Telecheck I phone Telecheck. The reason given was high rate of recent usage. I guess Walmart or Telecheck is stating you shouldn't go there very often because repeat business is not acceptable to them. Meijer here I come.
I went to Walmart to return some items and the manager was highly rude with no respect she rolled her eyes refuse to exchange my items because I didn't have a receipt she walked off as I was talking to her I've never been treated that rudely before
Walmart in auburn alabama said in there black friday ads that they would sale towels for $1.28. Will I got there at 8:00 pm the sale started at 10:00pm. Auburn walmart manger told us we can't find them. So Auburn walmart lied about there black friday ad, And when you ask a manger a question they are so nasty and rude to you.
Purchased a battery for my motorcycle. Paid about $50 bucks. Battery was crap after 6 weeks, it would not even charge. Took it back and was told the warranty was 30 days. Buyer beware walmart everstart batteries are garbage. Mfg code or the only numbers stamped on the battery were 05 02 21. Makes me believe the battery was years old when I bought it. Will not make this mistake again.
I received a phone call in August. They said I won a $100 rebate gift card for doing their online survey and that it would be mailed to me. I gave them my address and they asked me if the phone number they called me on was my number. I haven't heard from them. I have searched online for winners of such winners and came up with nothing. Can you tell me this was a scam or phishing?
Before Walmart was taken over by big business they use to wear shirts that said, "how may I help you." But now they don't. Just goes to show you how much big business really cares about being nice. Target is building a store down the street and I will be glad when it opens. If the ceos don't give a dam then don't expect the workers to either.
a very rudw associate by the name of daniel a manager treated me and my son very badly. we wanted to return an item he said we cud return then he refused and got mad at us and acted as if we were trying to con someone. this jerk is a roach and very mean person. this is at an east colonial dr store do not deal with this shady jerk
Every time I shop at this walmart I see tops that show their midline and clothing too tight or cleavage revealed. I think walmart should enforce uniforms and the way they should wear them its innapropriate and unprofessional even for a supercenter.

i walked in walmart, as i was walking pass customer service i slipped and fell on a wet spill on the floor(a greasy substance) i then got up and walked to the restroom hurt. I'm now having back, knee, and elbow pains.
I ordered an item online and was told the shipment was delayed. Walmart then dropped the price. The item was shipped after the price dropped, but Walmart refused to give me the difference. Luckily I ordered it shipped to the store for free, so I can return it and order at the lower price. With prices going up, you would think stores would be interested in saving money rather than inconveniencing customers.
I am still waiting for a TV stand that was (according to their own website) in a town less than a half a day's drive from here. That was Wednesday, today is Saturday and it has yet to arrive in my local store.
No explanation. Originally it should have been here last Monday at the latest. What is wrong with this company?

Im tired of constantly having to dispute being over charged in Walmart mexico. The prices when paying for the items at the cashier are most of the time different than the prices on the products inside walmart. A lot of tourists frequent the store and are not aware of this scam. This is ridiculous and think it is unfair that tourists are being ripped off because they think the store is legit.

my family and i went shopping at wal mart on a monday night and there was a 30 min. waiting line at the register.
I call on monday 1-3-2011 to see if the two medcation was fill and was being mail to me . I wait to sat. to see if I got them in the mail.I did not get them in the mail I call tosee were they was. they said was not mail out. so I said why was it not mail on tuesday or the thurday mail. they could not tell me anewer. I went to thewalmart on Kelly and the woman sitting at the front door didn't say anything to me. When I was 12 or 13, I was at the CD section of a Walmart by myself. A creepy employee with greasy hair was there and he tried to make a move on me. I bolted. I haven't been back since.

I purchased a cash card on July 21 and placed $500.00 on my card. I was NEVER given a receipt or an activation number. I have been tyo the walmart 4 times now and they are still unable to bring up my receipt like ive been told could happen. I need the money and cant even get a refund for it with out the activation code. What do I do now>
Walmart has there buy a extended warranty we fix it in any condition. Thats a crock of bull i had a fan going out and keys fall off and they said it was dropped and they would not fix it. Do not buy a extended warranty from them it is a rip off .

Betty at Walmart in Crystal Lake, IL, who was a manager in May of 2003, interviewed me for a position. She asked me a question about when and how long it took me to get training at Target in Ogden, Utah, and I answered wrong. She then said I was slow, and one of her employees who was in on the interview with me and Betty agreed. Then they both laughed at the fact that I was slow.
I like Walmart but have been unhappy with the savings in recent coupons. Times are hard and we need more of a price break from you so we can keep shopping there. come on walmart help us out a bit with discounts.
Why is Wal-mart doing away with so many good products I used to buy? I have been having my oil changed with motorcraft oil 10w40 for years now can't get it. Also alot of the sugar free products no longer exist such as cookies, cereal, cinnimon buns by pillsbury, kellogs unsweetened mini wheats and many other items. No fabric shop.I love our Walk-Mart store, clean store and friendly workers just apity that so many items are disapearing.
