Walgreens as an employee

I have just read how employees should take advantage of the open door policy. in my case I got no reply at any level. I'm taking my issue up with a government office. unless it's something they want to hear they stay as quiet as possible and hope you go away. I'm not going away. I have dealt with one nasty, vicious spokeswoman from the district off who could not admit she was wrong under torture. this company is so far from it's original concept that there is no hope for it. it's a shame.it was a good company to work for.

Walgreens pharmacy department

On August 4th, 2016, I went into Wal-green's (as I have for the last 5+ years to drop off my son (11 year old) prescription for Concerta 54mg. In fact, I had Wal-green to specially stock the name-brand Concerta for me, knowing I would have to renew this prescription every month. Last night, things seemed to have changed at Wal-greens. I went in to drop off the prescription and the Pharmacy Technician said to me you cannot drop off a prescription without having an driver license ID. I said to her, I have been coming here for years dropping off this same prescription and have never ever been told by any pharmacy technician or pharmacist that you have to have an ID to drop off a prescription. Of course because it is a control substance I am REQUIRED to have one to pick it up which I am FINE with. Have been doing it for years. What really made me mad was one I did not have my ID because I did not expect this to happen, two the response I received for the night manager. She told me that the pharmacists can put any rules they want in place. Be careful with that one Wal-greens because you can get sued for discrimination if you are putting some people through this process and not all customers. I am a mom trying to get my son's medication. You do know I could have sent a drug addict or drug dealer in there that has no ties to me or my son to drop off this prescription because they had a ID and you would not have a clue. I want you to make that policy consistent across the board for ALL customers and ALL pharmacists that work in that store or talk to this pharmacist and have her to stop requiring an driver license to DROP-OFF a prescription. Again, I am fine with having to submit a driver's license to pick up my son's prescription but to have to submit an ID to drop off is Ludicrous. What is an ID going to tell anyone about a person dropping off a prescription. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

You should have policies that are required of all the pharmacists. Not have pharmacists making rules as they please. I have been going to the same store for 5 years and not having to show an ID to DROP OFF medicines and now you have this pharmacist on your night shift requiring driver's license to drop off prescriptions that will be picked up the next day when she is not at work. You need to consistency going across the board among all of your pharmacists.

I am very upset, because it cause me not to get my son's medicine filled and all the other pharmacies are estimating that it will take them 3-5 days to get the medicine in. This is the only store near me that has this medicine in stock right now and I feel like this store has cause great stress to me because he cannot be in school without this medicine. Again, my complaint is require it for ALL customers or drop it and go back to their policy of requiring it on pick up of the prescriptions. If it is a rule that all pharmacists put in place I am find with it, but if you have 10 pharmacist and 1 that is making her own rules that the other ones aren't. Then you Wal-greens need to take a step back and evaluate YOUR required policies with your pharmacists to be consistent.

How did you drive to the pharmacy to drop off the script and not have your driver's license with you? With controlled substances, a pharmacist can place any rules he wants since the law will hold him, not you, responsible if he dispenses the drug to a drug dealer, addict, or pharmacy shopper. He is protecting himself and the pharmacy since he can go to jail for not following the law. The laws have gotten more strict on narcotics in relation to pharmacists. He can literally go to jail. There is a possibility that this pharmacy has a new pharmacist that does not know you.

Next time, take your ID.

Walgreens pharmaceutical pricing

I just had colonoscopy and the doctor phoned a prescription to my local Walgreen's in case there was some bleeding. I went to pick up the prescription and was charged $142.00 for 12 suppositories. I said I was on Medicare but the pharmacist said they were not covered. Still a bit woosey from the sedative I paid and went home, not looking at the item. When home I found out it was 12 Hydro-cortisone suppositories. I went to Good Rx and their price was $12.05. Walgreen's sold me a $1 item for $11.80.

This is a real rip off. So much for the corner of happy and healthy.

Was it Anucort HC 25mg? The average cash price is $125 for those. Every pharmacy has their cheap and their expensive. What one pharmacy sells for $12 another will sell for $100. What one gives for free another will charge $25. It is called a free market. Publix gives you antibiotics and Metformin for free, Walmart does not. That does not mean that Publix also gets them for free. It means they have a cheap hook to get you in so that you will fill your most costly scripts with them, and they eat the cost of the 'cheapies'. Every pharmacy does this.

If you have a supplemental insurance with your Medicare, then you will pay the same no matter what pharmacy you use.

Walgreens slave laborer when the ceos get their bonuses

In December 2014, Walgreens completed its strategic combination with Alliance Boots to establish Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. things went bad very quickly! Greg Wasson was forced out. With Greg Wasson out the care for the little people out the door!
Stefano Pessina, a secretive Italian billionaire, is to become £4.45bn richer as a result of the $15bn (£9bn) Walgreens takeover of Alliance Boots. With that merger Wasson may receive a retirement package worth $35.1 million. So the company has money if Walgreens Alliance Boots gives very large severance packages with a corporate takeover. Stefano has a history of tax evasion. Stefano has a history of slave labor practices in England. All that to just build a company.
December 2014 Alliance Boots today announces that it has completed the acquisition of a 12% stake in Nanjing Pharmaceutical Company Limited. Becoming the second largest investor. They have the money to invest in the 1% but they squander in on other projects. Nanjing Pharmaceutical Company Limited are also owned by GlaxoSmithKline. Which according to Peta tests on animals! So if they can pay for animal testers and pollution to be pumped into the environment. They can pay their employees their salaries! Not minimum wage! Not force them to sign new contracts under minimum wage. If they get their jobs back all!
Managers were stepped down within a year after this merger with Boots Alliance. They were either forced into lower management positions. If they refused they were stepped down into Shift leader positions with a major cut in pay. If they didn’t sign the contracts they lost their jobs even if they didn’t agree with the terms of the contract. Cut to near minimum wage. Or at minimum wage. Even though most had been with the Walgreens for decades. Even though they made Walgreens they’re lives and careers. Even though the Ceo’s got they’re salaries and bonuses. The chief of operations get their 3 figure salaries. Their families are suffering under this ethnic cleansing. Some work 6 days a week just to make ends meat. Millions were fired because they were NOT liked by the store managers!
The next on the chopping block for corporate greed of the Ceo’s not wanting to pay the employees they’re wages. The Sims coordinators. They were forced to Shift Leader positions or back down to a lower employee positions. . Even though they still have to do their exact same jobs with a cut in pay down to minimum wage. Again if they didn’t sign the contracts they lost their jobs even if they didn’t agree with the terms of the contract. It is corporate greed in the purest epitome of the word. Ethnic cleansing of the career employees they didn’t want to pay they’re wages. Even though people made this their careers. In most cases have been doing this for decades! It didn’t matter. They got minimum wage. If the managers didn’t like them they got fired.
Then they stepped down the Head Photo Specialist. They didn’t want to pay them they’re wages. . Even though they still have to do their exact same jobs. They were forced to step down with minimum wage. If they didn’t sign the contracts they lost their jobs even if they didn’t agree with the terms of the contract. Millions lost their jobs. Even though they did their jobs without complaints.
Millions did not agree to these changes. Millions have been fired of the management didn’t like them. Millions of store career management have left the company in droves due to the radical changes. Millions of upper management career management were fired for sticking up for the little people. Ethnic cleansing of the career employees with no skills sets other than Walgreen’s are suffering.
Walgreen’s prides Deliver extraordinary customer and patient care. But the cannot deliver it to their employees. To the very people who take care of everything! To the very people who hold the fort down. To the very people who come to work without complaints!
The next on the chopping block list is the Senior Beauty Advisors. Then the Beauty Advisors. They have to reapply for they positions in September. They ultimately will lose because Walgreens’ wants Licensure in Cosmetology or Esthetician in they’re positions. The career people will lose their jobs because of the corporate greed. Even though they have been doing it for years! Because of the Ceo’s greed of their bonuses they get to keep because of the ethnic cleansing. When it is cheaper in the long run to pay for these people to get their licenses. They want to just hire these people and be done with it. People are going to lose the jobs. . Again if they didn’t sign the contracts they lost their jobs even if they didn’t agree with the terms of the contract... The career people who are already living from pay check to pay check already are going to be forced to file for Welfare. They will have to because they will be at minimum wage. If they get their jobs back under this ethnic cleansing at all!
Next in the effort for the Ceo’s to keep their bonuses. The store management will be cut loose. They will be stepped down into Assistant Management positions. Paid just above minimum slave wages. Again another version of ethnic cleansing. . Again if they didn’t sign the contracts they lost their jobs even if they didn’t agree with the terms of the contract.
With everything from basic necessities from food, to utilities, to rents going to highest it has been in 10 years. Millions will be homeless because of this ethnic cleansing of the career people who hold down the fort. Who without this company will sink? They’re will be no one left to handle the problem. No one will be able to stay with the company who was a very good company to work for before this merger. Millions of people will lose their jobs! This is ethnic cleansing of the old career employees that have no other job skill set other than Walgreens.
Walgreens Alliance Boots has the money. They just acquired Rite Aid. The people within Rite Aid mostly be losing their jobs if they do NOT agree to minimum wage. Rite Aid employees are to either lose their jobs or too swallowed up with Walgreens Boots Alliance under minimum wage. Slave labor wages.
Walgreens just outsourced most all the American Made Walgreens products overseas! Read the back of the labels. They NOT American made anymore! They have the money it’s just another version of a Corporation greed to keep their bonuses. Most are made in China. Vietnam. Taiwan. Check the back of labels. The worst countries of human rights in the world. No quality control. Walgreen’s was an American made company! Not now under the merger! For shame on Walgreens. For shame on Boots greed! China has the Yulin Dog and Cat festival where they eat them every year horrifically killing. There is NO animal right in any of the countries previously mentioned. China’s pollution record to the world speaks for itself.
Join the fight for the struggling 1% on the ethnic cleansing of the career people who made this they’re lives. Voice your complaint to. Protect these people with protests with your words! Call the headquarters! Your emails! Stick up for the people who have no voice within this company. People who have no choice but to be force to sign up for slave wages. Voice you complaint about millions of people who will have to sign up for PUBLIC ASSISTANCE because they won’t have any other choice! That’s if the managers who have a say in getting these people out! When they did nothing wrong to deserve the slave wages. Or to be fired by this company over this ethnic cleansing of old career people. It’s wrong on multiple levels.

Walgreens sweeps/winning vacation

I am so sorry I looked at my receipt of purchases and fell prey to win 3000 cash for survey which when I called I was then talked into accepting a vacation which was suppose to be free then I ended up having to fork over a few hundred dollars I did not have! Well I lost my job and cancelled the vacation weekend. However this has happened over 4 years ago and since I keep getting harassing phone calls from the so called vacation people who conveniently call me from a disconnected number telling me the call affects my money and I got on the dnc do not call registry to no avail.
I get calls almost every day. I tried for years nicely explaining I couldnt do the vacation please dont call but 4 years later going on 5 I keep getting the calls telling me my money is now going to be taken and im about to have a heart attack. I am a sick person and this is so not right.
I cant afford to do nothing else but write this note and pray someone will sue the pants off walgreens for allowing this to even happen.
Will someone read this and act accordingly, if it did happen it came from god (Karma), its a beach I hear!
God bless america

Walgreens refill prescription

I just picked my a new cholesterol medicine no problem, my doctor gave me a savings card. I was also waiting for the doctor's office to fax my blood pressure medicine, and as it was three hours later and it still had not arrived to Walgreens, I was getting anxious since it is a holiday weekend and the doctor's office will be closed until Tuesday. ((6/30-7/4). I had previously filled my bp meds there before and there were no refills left. Walgreen s was refusing to give me a supply until my doctor office reopened. What was I going to do sell them on the street, is the demand for blood pressure pills so high? Was it ok for me to have a stroke/heart attack? I know a pharmacy can give you an emergency 3 day supply, but that was not even offered to me. I was not a first time customer. My doctors office said it was faxed. The customer in front of me also had a problem where his Rx was faxed and it was not there. Hmmm check your fax queue. Problem was finally resolved when they called my doctor's office and got the nurse as they were closing the office for the holiday. The main complaint is this: If Walgreen's did not contact my doctor, the option of an emergency supply was not offered and was denied even when I asked if they could give me a couple to hold me over and subtract from my Rx. Why give me instructions to not start or stop any prescription without talking to a doctor or pharmacist when said pharmacist is not going to help me continue taking my medication.
Taking my business elsewhere. Walgreen s has become a joke. You are a pharmacist not a god. You are here to help.

Walgreens prescription price versus copay

After moving my Rx to Express Scripts, I noticed on the history, which included Rx's filled at Walgreen's, that I paid the full copay for drugs at Walgreen's when the cost of the drug was less than the copay.

This became obvious when looking at all the Walgreens Rx's where the insurance plan paid $0 and I paid $15 for a 30-day supply and $45 for a 90-day supply. The actual cost paid at Express Scripts in every case was significantly less than that copay.

I might think that this is simply one company with prices lower than Walgreen's. But this is not the case. The new company, Express Scripts, charges only for the drug regardless of the copay.

At Express Scripts, if the Rx costs $9.31, I am charged $9.31 and insurance pays $0. My copay of $15 does not come into play.

At Walgreen's, for the same Rx, I pay the copay of $15 and insurance pays $0. The actual cost of the Rx doesn't matter.

In other words, IF I DID NOT HAVE INSURANCE, I WOULD HAVE PAID LESS! Over a third less in some cases.

I would have saved hundreds over the years by not providing my insurance information. This has to be illegal when the customer isn't given the option of using insurance or paying the lower price.

You do not understand how pharmacy software works. In most cases, your co-pay is set by your insurance company and is the amount your insurance decides to charge to deduct from your deductible. Once your deductible is met, then you only pay the insurance cost, which in some cases, can be less then the drug cost, or more depending on the store's retail price. (Publix gives Metformin for free, most other pharmacies do not. But you would pay your insurance charge if you do not ask for the cash price).

Now, retail or local pharmacies use software to communicate with insurance companies for approvals, price and co-pay amounts. When you come in to the pharmacy to drop off your script, the software will default to the last payment option for that script: if you paid cash, it will give the cash price. If you used insurance, it will give the insurance price. If you want the pharmacy to compare both prices, you have to ask them to do so. The software does not automatically do so. And with pharmacies being as busy as they are, and people already unable to comprehend how it can take an hour or more to fill a script, can you imagine how angry you would be if that hour turned into 24 hours? That is what would happen if every pharmacy script had to be checked for cost comparison. They would have to do each one, one at a time. People would lose their minds. It is done upon request.

Now, in Express Scripts, this is a mail order pharmacy. You already know you are going wait days, or a couple weeks, so you are not going to lose your mind when they check each script for cost comparison. See how it works? People these days just can not understand the concept of waiting, or asking.

If you want a cost comparison, ask for one. They will be happy to give you the least cost available. But let me tell you from my experience in working in a pharmacy, I have asked customers if they would like me to check the cash price to see if it is cheaper, and the number one question I get is HOW LONG IS THAT GOING TO TAKE? The next thing I hear is I GAVE YOU MY INSURANCE. Some people, you just can not help.

You should also be aware, that NO pharmacy sets your co-pay. Your insurance does. Your co-pay will be the same no matter where your drugs are filled at. The cash price however will fluctuate.

Walgreens meds not ready?!

I drop off scripts for meds.
They check if meds would be ready at Noon the next day.
They said the meds. should be ready since they have it in stock, the even doubled checked.
I come the next day to pick up meds. Guess what, not ready.
I didn't understand why if they said they had in stock and they checked. The pharmacist tried saying she couldn't read it i told her it is for fungus and i asked for for the scripts back because shewas havijng a difficult time then she said, ohh and said it will be ready in 20 min. Well, and i waited for them and they knew i was waiting for them.
Well, 45 min. later i asked if ready they said no very rudely, i tried telling them something and they hanged up on me ( This is drive thru).

I never experienced how awful and disrespectful actions from your pharmacist.

To all those people that said they where able to inter the $3000 sweepstakes & mocked others for not being able to do it, Well you didn't enter it either. You entered a different survey. Walgreens is the worst store ever. Everytime I go there, people in line are always complaining & mad. The people that work there have no respect for the customers. The one in Moreno valley is the worst. I wish they would close them down. You just about need a birth certificate if you a prescription for painkillers. I go to cvs or Rite Aid & never a problem getting for my pain meds. I don't know why my wife even goes to walgreens? I think we should all start filming what really goes on there & post it. Until we do there just going to laugh at all are complaints. Bet they won't laugh when we start posting. From know on let's all start going to other pharmacies. Post your your bad experience from walgreens & win $3000 keykeykey.

Walgreens pharmacy error

Through gross incompetence, the Cleburne Texas Walgreens filled my Metformin (diabetic medication) with a mix of Metformin and a very potent anticonvulsant medication that looked similar and which I had not been prescribed. After inadvertently taking several of the anticonvulsant pills, I had such a severe dizzy reaction, I thought I might be dying and had my son take me for medical treatment. The dizziness remained for several days after ceasing use. Upon returning the pills to the pharmacy, the Walgreens pharmacist acknowledged that the prescription had been incorrectly filled. For the emotional damage and breach of trust to me and my family, I believe Walgreens should compensate me to ensure that they take such errors more seriously.

Walgreens walgreens pharmacy

Walgreens Pharmacy
1902 N LOOP 1604 W. San Antonio, Tx

I had an emergency prescription for my daughter that my doctor called in to the Walgreen's pharmacy on a Sunday (5/15/16). I had just spoken to the pharmacist myself and she told me to have the Dr. call in the prescription. My Dr. called in the prescription to Walgreen's and left a message on the pharmacy's voice mail. I called the pharmacy back and the pharmacist told me that their voice mail is not working (a Dr. can leave a message, but the pharmacist cannot access messages and that this has been happening for a few days...WHAT?) Why didn't the pharmacist tell me that the 1st time I talked to her so I could have let the DR. know before he left a message. So, again, since it's Sunday, the Dr. had to be paged again and call the pharmacist again and just hope she would answer, as you cannot leave a message. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional, esp. on a Sunday when it's difficult to reach a doctor and have a prescription called in. VERY disappointed. I will be going to CVS from now on.

If the doctor called it in to begin with, it must not have been that hard to reach him. Next time, get a paper script. Or don't wait til your daughter is out of your meds.

Walgreens employee

I am so dissapoited at the company I thought I would retired from after 27 years I was ask to step down. That of course means that my paid would be cut by a lot is not that I make a lot of many from 17.00 an hour I will know make 13.25. I feel that since Walgreens became WBA wich is the European company Boots. The worse company to work for uses the old employees and on top of that they do not want to pay its employees more then 13.75 an hour. I feel discriminate against.

When I first join Walgreens it was a very nice place to work at the time it was a senior activity for. I needed something to do after school so I went to Walgreens and got a job. I when to College graduated got married with all this I never really left my job at Walgreens. But know after 27 years of service I'm told that because something called beauty 2000 my title needs to change and my pay. Wich I find to be redicules I don't get how this Big Corporation can get away with crusting it employees!

Thank you

Walgreens former employee

Do not work for these people or patients. I have since quit because I was used to cover up a gross inventory shortage that I was blamed for. Not once was anyone else held accountable. These people followed me and my family, used phones to gather information about me off of my phone. They had patients use craigslists adds and etsy accounts to catfish me. They sat over in cosi and documented and harassed me every single day for months. All of tha patients at this particular pharmacy are close with the staff working there in fact it borders on unprofessional if you catch my drift. I worked there for two years with out little training and two promotions . Kind of smells like a set up. I had horrible thins said to my face and was bullied through social media till I was forced to quit. The entire management and there staff is fully aware of what was done and protects the people who engage in these activities. Slander is how these people win, by ruining your name and whomever you speak with. By twisting intent and circumstances to win. Unfortunately I must say for 90% of the time I was very aware of what was being done to me which drove me mad. The. Set advice I can give to anyone who wants to work in a pharmacy setting in ct is so avoid Walgreens .

Walgreens precision extra diabetes test strips - medicare part b

Walgreens Drug Stores Complaint
Precision Extra Diabetes Test Strips - Medicare Part B
I have been trying to get this medication for my husband for 3 weeks and have not received them yet... I keep getting the round around why they are not able. I have Medicare Part B and Supplement Medicare Part B plans sufficiently and accurately. I called the Medicare Program their 1800 number and was told the Precision Extra Diabetes Test Strips - Medicare Part B was fully covered by my husband Medicare Part B plan and this medical supply was covered by the Medicare Part B plan is 80% and the supplement Plan F with ICA which is an Individual Assurance Company which cover the Medicare Part B, 20%. My husband has a excellent Health Care and Prescription drug plans in which we pay good money for him to have. He is currently on dialysis and he is diabetic and needs his medication and whatever medical supplies that are covered by the Medicare Part B without any discrepancies are ill-learn stuff that are filling these patients scripts. It is an absolute shame I have to take it to the extreme when I know that Walgreen Pharmacy Staff can put out better service than what they have been doing lately. They also have not kept their medicine and medical supplies in stock. Many times I have gone to fill a script they are out and have to order; then it takes up to two weeks if never before the order arrives at their location. This is the Walgreens on 23rd and Sterling, Independence, MO then the other Walgreen on 39th Noland Rd is just as bad. Their system needs to be updated. I was told when I had the strips sent over to the 39th location that the strips were the ready for pick up, but when I went to pick them the test strips they would not fill the prescription the doctor had sent over to 23rd & Sterling because 39th Noland computers was not showing my husband strips were covered, right after I had talked to Medicare 1800 number again and was told the Precision Extra test strip cost only $16.00. But the computer on 39th spit out they cost $16.66, my problem is where did the 66cents come from, 23rd got all his insurance coverage finally right and said they cost $16.00, plus they got the Supplement Plan F with IAC Individual Assurance Company. Medicare if you call their 1800 number and ask about my husband Part B plan they show he also has a supplement plan that cover the 20% difference of the 80% what Medicare Part B does not. Finally, after 3 long weeks of constant pressing the issue, it appears I may get his medication. I am to pick it up today, which is 03/24/2016, so I will see after I go now on 39th Noland Rd and see if everything is ok and he get his test strips finally I hope.
My husband has an excellent Health Care and Prescription drug plans in which we pay good money for him to have. He is currently on dialysis and he is diabetic and needs his medication and whatever medical supplies that are covered by the Medicare Part B without any discrepancies are ill-learn Staff that are filling these patients scripts. It is an absolute shame I have to take it to the extreme when I know that Walgreen Pharmacy Staff can put out better service than what they have been doing lately. They also have not kept their medications and medical supplies in stock.

Walgreens Drug Stores Complaint
Precision Extra Diabetes Test Strips - Medicare Part B
I have been trying to get this medication for my husband for 3 weeks and have not received the test strips yet... I keep getting the run around why they are not able to fill the prescription, even after the doctor submitted a new prescription. So I call and spoke to a Medicare Part B agent and was told they would pay for the Test Strips, and they pay 80% of the cost and the supplement Plan F with ICA, which is with Individual Assurance Company which cover the Medicare Part B, 20% and its status is active.
My husband has an excellent Health Care, Medical and Prescription RX drug plans in which we pay good money for him to have. He is currently on dialysis and he is diabetic and needs his medication and supplies with the hassle with the pharmacies have not properly handled. It is an absolute shame I have to take it to the extreme when I know that Walgreen Pharmacy Staff can put out better service than what they have been doing lately.

Walgreens prescription filled for a drug I am allergic to & refused to take back & refund $50

My Doctor called in prescription ear drops. My husband picked it up for me and when he brought it home I noticed it is related to a drug I am allergic to. Next day after calling my doctors office to let them know they prescribed a drug I am allergic to, they called in a new prescription. I went to pick up the new prescription & requested a refund for the drops. The drops are in a sealed box with a sealed bottle inside. I did not open or disturb the seals in anyway. They refused to take it back. The pharmacist said they would have to throw it away & would not return my $50.00. This is not the 1st time this has happened with this exact same drug. The 1st time it happened, I noticed it right after I got home from the pharmacy and went right back & was given a refund. Shame on my doctor for prescribing me a drug related to something I am allergic to, but I have my allergies all listed with Walgreen's & I count on them to be my 2nd check to protect me for taking a drub that could kill me.

Walgreens pharmacist

The Walgreens at Beneva & Bee Ridge in Sarasota, FL
I submitted a prescription to the pharmacy They took my prescription, checked on the date and to see if they had the medicine in Stock which they did and they told me it would be a 25 minute wait So I say and waited 25 minutes. After waiting the pharmacist came out and told me that it was too soon to fill it. This is a lie I had just come from the doctors office and on top of that Walmart across the street did full my prescription that day. I will never use Walgreens for any of my six regular prescriptions again That's a disgusting display of effort on Walgreens part.

I have a complaint as well. I have been using Walgreens for many years. I went to fill Prescription which I have been on the same Medication for years. I had just had Surgery. Well the Pharmacist told me if I wanted to fill my Medication he wanted to see my Medical records. Then he proceeded to tell me do not go through the drive thru you must walk in. Well I just about crawled in because I had just had Surgery. I felt like I just wanted to crawl under the counter I was so embarrassed. He made me feel like I just wanted to cry and leave. Then I had to show my Scars as well. This is not ok I think it is very wrong. He did this twice to me. I understand they have to really careful. This for me was just a VIOLATION in many ways. Not only that everybody in the Pharmacy heard and looked as well.

Walgreens pharmacist

I was recently treated like a common criminal by a 'traveling' pharmacists who thought she was not only a Doctor but a Policeman.
I have had the same RX's filled at Walgreens for almost 2 years. She began questioning each medication and why I was taking it. Finding reasons to want to phone my Doctor. Not having my best interest at heart but just to cause a problem. She didn't want to be there, I had 13 meds to be refilled and had already upset a host of other customers.
She was Asian and couldn't even pronounce my name correctly so I was supposed to allow her to phone my Physicians and question them why I was on these meds with NO interactions?
I called her out, told her off politely and reduced her down to the glorified pill counter she actually was. She continuously named off all my meds in direct presence of the collecting customers behind me which violated my privacy. Walgreens should train, instruct and police their pharmacist instead of allowing them to police customers. After all, it is our illness and treatments that pay their excessive salaries.
My patient/Doctor relationship could have been potentially harmed by some [censored]ted, power hungry pill counter wanting to question my Doctor. Not so sure she didn't try, the next day I got a phone call from my Doctor telling me they were calling in another med for me and they suggested another pharmacy. I didn't say anything but apparently they knew what had happened. No wonder Walgreens is closing so many stores. Ignorant and careless 'traveling' pharmacist who don't have stores of their own running off customers from established stores. Certainly a serious lack of training, management and appreciation for their jobs regardless of how much they dislike being fill ins. They are just that, fill ins for a reason.
Now I'm a problem customer because she lied with impunity even though another tech told the store Pharmacist the same story I did. I won't be going back to Walgreens. To those pill pushers who want to be Doctors or Policemen, get an education for a position of power, not dealing with sick people.

Walgreens cost of medicines

I had been using Walgreens with my old insurer - Humana/Medicare. My copay was quite low at around the $2 range for a drug. I changed insurance to United/Medicare and due to the change in Medicare laws, now had to fulfill a pretty hefty copay for the year. In January, got my new prescript and paid $28. Just renewed it again and paid $32. Pharmacist said cash, no insurance, was about $58! I Called around. Costco pharmacy, do not need to be a member, has under $15 cash for same prescript, so my copay would be closer to $8! That is 400% more at Walgreens. Only go there if you want to be ripped off!

Walgreens chased out of store

I am a 60 year old man. When I complained about a 20 minute wait on line while one cash register was open and numerous employees were standing around, the assistant manager literally chased me out of the store, waving his hands at me like one would shoo a dog while screaming "get out of my store". Bizarre behavior. Fortunately I am a lawyer and am starting a class action within the next several weeks. N

Good for You for your suing for such a horrendous and inappropriate behavior. This seems to be a familiar problem with Walgreens across the country. They start the problems and expect the patient/customer to tolerate it and if you don't lay down for them, this is what you get. I unfortunately had a similar problem in Georgia. I wasn't asked to leave the store but I was completely disrespected, questioned and treated like a common criminal for trying to refill meds that I had been taking for over 12 years. All of which they have filled without incidence for 2 years without a problem. A traveling pharmacist thought she should play "Doctor" and Policeman. I won but not without a scene and her first announcing to the line of customers behind me every single medication I take. I was abhorred being treated like a criminal. Now I'm seen as a problem customer although the pharmacist has repeatedly apologized for the incident.
You are not alone and hope that you don't feel as victimized as I did.

Walgreens now does this stupid trick - doubles the prices, hopes you forget what they were, then puts the products "on sale" (yellow tag) by 20%. But you're still paying way more than you were before, sometimes double or triple! That's why I don't shop there anymore. Walgreens is pathetic to do this and think its own customers are dumb enough not to notice. I've noticed, you should notice, and share this with others. Much better values elsewhere.

Walgreens tamsulosin.4mg

Walgreens (1/22/16) My issue with Walgreens isn't complicated. On 1/18/16, I got a prescription of Tamsulosin filled at the Enumclaw, WA, Walgreens. I picked up the Tamsulosin at the pharmacy counter. I examined the contents. I found the pharmacy gave me 90 pills instead of 180 which the prescription called for.

I pointed out the error to the pharmacist himself. I had a feeling I should talk directly to the pharmacist. He checked his computer and agreed a mistake was made. He told me the prescription would be corrected.

I returned on 1/22/16 to pick up the Tamsulosin. The pharmacist told me that he gave me 180 pills on 1/18/16 and refused to give me the 90 missing pills. The store manager would not help and refused to fill the 90 missing pills.

My daughter counted how many pills I actually received on 1/18/16 and I only received 72 pills in total.

This would be a “he said / he said” situation except my caregiver was with me on 1/18/16 and heard the pharmacist admit to the original mistake. She heard him promise me he would correct the error.

This is just one example of the errors the Enumclaw Walgreens Pharmacy has made with my prescriptions.

Hey Matthew - Sorry, but this response isn't a solution but just a bit of empathy. After trying to deal with Walgreens off and on I finally cut all ties with them. It's amazing how many hoops they jump thru to AVOID filling a prescription. My wife uses some of the same meds you're talking about due to chronic back issues and it seems that if you walk in with a script for a controlled med then you are automatically labeled a criminal. It AMAZES me that a Dr. with years of schooling and experience can write a script but a 19 year old with a Pharmacy Tech Certificate from a community college can override the script. (No offense to community college grads, like myself)
Not sure about your insurance or availability of other pharmacies in your area, but I was surprised to find that smaller, independently run pharmacies actually work better for this type of stuff. Especially if you can find one in a hospital/medical center lobby that's used to dealing with the stronger scripts given to patients that are going home after hospital stays or day surgeries.
I would be interested to find out how or if you could get your MRI results deleted. So if you get a chance can you update here? Thanks!
