I had the most horrible experience at Vo's. I am not sure who is the owner...there is this woman by name Ben or Bieu and she acts as the owner. I have a been a regular customer of Vo's nails but I am one of those they don't recognize every time I go in. In my last few visits I realized something is going on at my back. It all started when I wasn't sure which color to choose, as perplexed I was with the colors, I took few colors and tried on one of my toe nails to see if it blended well with my skin tone. They somehow think customers cannot try colors and they should grab one. The woman (May) who did my pedicure did not like this and she started mumbling something in her language and the other woman Ben came running and snatched two bottles away from me and in a confrontational tone told me I cannot have multiple colors. I let it go that time as I thought it could be a language barrier issue. I did not say a word. Throughout the time, they were yapping in their language but it was evident they were talking about me as the other stafff exchanged looks. I tip them generously as always and its strange even after you tip them more than average they still don't acknowledge you, after all these business do not care for customer base.
The next time I went there, May recognized me and started passing remarks to her colleagues, this time it was Ben who did my pedicure. I choose two colors and proceeded to sit, this woman was furious and said which one you want, I said I would like to try on one of my toe nails before deciding, she was very reluctant and started handling me hard, she was literally ordering me and I was pregnant and couldn't lift my feet as how she wanted me to. She grabbed my legs and kept yelling at me. I continued to ignore it as I still wasn't sure if this was ignorance or arrogance. I paid with good tips and walked out. I must be really stupid to go there the next time as well, this time it was a polish change and the stafff who changed my polish was novice and she painted my cuticles as well. This time I chose one color but the stafff herself told me the polish is so diluted and that she would bring another color, Ben noticed this as the stafff brought me two other shades that I did not ask for. I asked her to fix it and Ben/Bieu came running and shouted what I wanted; I told her the issue and she said she could fix it; she had to redo the whole thing as it was that worse and she continued muttering in her language to her other stafff and as usual it continued. This time I felt awkward because it was n't my fault and I need at least good service if not great. I proceeded to check out and i found a color that I wanted to buy, she asked me come later as she was busy. I avoided going there but I couldn't find that color anywhere near proximity, so I went there following week just to buy the nail polish. Once I went in, Ben started yapping again so loud that one customer actually had to strain her neck to have a look at me. I asked the sales girl if she can help me, she took the tray and was willingly showing the colors and I thought I can buy more than one. The color I wanted was not there in the fresh stock and she started looking around for it. By this time Ben started yelling at me, she does not have time for this and asked me to leave. I found that super rude and before I thought I might lose my patience i thought I would leave. I left the facility and after 2 minutes of walking the sales girl came running to me she found the color. So I proceeded to go in again and Ben was there reminding me she had asked me to leave. I told her that is so rude and she needs to refine her language. She was furious and started telling me how her staff hate me because I try colors and no body likes to do a pedicure. She continued to say that she does not need customers like me and was swaying her hands at me like she was shooing a dog. I felt so embarrassed and being pregnant I felt so stressed to go through this. I have sensed they treated women of color differently but I thought I should ignore. She was yapping in half Vietnam and half English. I had to tell her that I have been a regular customer and if she had issues with me choosing colors it has to be conveyed respectfully. She did not listen, partly because they cannot communicate in English. I walked away before it could go elsewhere. It was a painful experience and I failed to nip it in the bud. Patience / tolerance will not work with uncivilized people like this. I will of course never go there again. I wish someone could teach her a lesson someday; they run this business and feedback like this will not impact them as they profit through the moving population.

Heritage Vo's Nails - DO NOT GO THERE!

This is the first time I have ever complained about service on line however, I hope that word gets around about the absurd treatment by the owner no less that I received at Vo's Heritage. I feel humiliated and shamed all that for a chipped toe repair.

I used to work in the customer service industry and would never treat a customer or client the way I was treated. I am in my late 50's.
The treatment was horrid, terrible customer service from the manager/owner Anh. After receiving a pedicure on a Monday by Wednesday my toe had chipped. I went in for a fix the nail polish was not found she wanted to use a different colour. The owner said she would put a spot touch up on. I was not happy with that response or service because it will just chip again, after arguing with her she finally did my whole nail, reluctantly. The nail still had a pit so I suggested she buff the roughness (remember pedi was done 2 days prior). She got really rude & finally did it then I asked her to file to smooth it out. Again, more rudeness. I said what kind of customer service is this? You are in the service industry. I said I will not come back she said she did not want me back. The whole incident took 15 minutes in which she should have redone all my nails because of the different colour nail polish. I asked for the manager's name she said she was the manager & owner & I could NOT have her name. I did get her name off a certificate on the wall though.

She spoke broken English as she is Asian, but such terrible customer service I was in shock! I am a person that does not normal complain but after two days for nail polish to chip I thought she would be a little more accommodating it's a toe nail. I have been to a couple of different Vo's before & received good service.

Anh should take a course in Customer Service if she wants to stay in business. I said I was going to make a post on the Internet & she said she did not care & wanted me to leave. REALLY!

Its awful to be treated like that all I want was to have my toe nail fixed with the right nail polish color. I said I left a 15% tip the other day maybe I should not have she said she does not get a tip, I said maybe I should get my tip back she said no.

If I could give a negative star rating I would. Will this have a negative impact on her business...probably not however, I will tell my friends and family to never go there.

DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED DISRESPECTFUL & heaven help you if something goes wrong over a $30.00 pedicure + 15% tip.

I agree
After years of no nails, I thought I would have them done for Christmas. I asked for acrylic, sat down, and soon she was putting gel on. I said no, acrylic. She spoke no word in English. Her rescuer and her spoke in their own language while the lady continued. I spent $50. Should have been $30. I paid the $50 and will never go back. The business is dirty as there were flour-like flies that were disregarded by the old lady tech. My nails look smooth and pretty, but upon my return, I found flaws in them; nails not fully covered near the cuticles is especially noticeable. GRRR
Do NOT use their business. I am attempting to find a reputable business who can fix them.

Worst experience ever! I totally agree! I wish I had read the reviews before going there! I paid 63 dollars for a mani pedi because she screwed up my pedi and they charged me extra! Then when I asked for the price breakdown she gave it to me and then started talking in her language gesturing toward me like what was my problem. I didn't want to make a scene in front of my daughter so I just paid it. I will NEVER go to a Vo's Nails again!

I was just curious and decided to look at how Vos in Edmonton was doing. I'm am deeply sadden to read all these dissatisfied reviews. My family first open Vos nails over 10 years ago. And due to unwanted circumstances we had to move back to the US . I assure you that this is not how Vos nails conduct business. I am notified at how the people who took over could be so horrid. I assure you if we were l still in Edmonton that is not how we would treat anyone let along or clients. If you ladies are ever in las vegas nevada look us up and we will show you what a real Vos nails experience is suppose to be like. Tell them Shelly sent you. If u remember our family from way back when Tom, Han and Linda are all there.

I went to the one in Namao. Extremely rude and they hate when you disagree with them. I'm paying and paying dearly for a good manicure and should be satisfied when I leave. When I asked her to shape the nail differently she started talking loudly in her language and it is always very evident that they're talking about the customers. Really irks me that Canada has two official languages, French or English...they know that before coming here...pick one and learn it.

I know exactly who you are talking about and her name is Den and she is horrific. I went in there and had her for a pedocure and she bad mouthed other customers (in English) to me and complains about everyone. She should be fired from there. I went in there recently and she treated me terribly, I don't know how she keeps her job, she is terrible to her customers and her staff!

I went to Vo's nails and they have terrible service. They rush through the jobs of doing a manicure or pedicure and I went for the last time yesterday. They did such a poor job of my pedicure that I will not go back and would not encourage anyone to go to any of their stores. My bad experience was at the one at the store in Northgate.

So let me get this straight, you kept going back and tipping extremely well eventhough they treated you like crap? It's like you were paying them to be extra nice to you the next time you came in, but they took that as, "Hey, treat me like crap more please!".
