Vivint - Customer service

I called customer service after being told that I needed to be home in order to trouble shoot my door lock that isn't working. After trouble shooting for over 30 mins, I asked if a technician could come out, I was told "NO" the equipment had to come 1st because it comes "from around the world". When I questioned the Rep, I could hear her typing really fast and she slammed the telephone in my ear. I called back and spoke with another Rep that wanted to again trouble shoot my system, I explained this had already been attempted and I didn't have another 30 mins. The Rep continued to insist that I trouble shoot, I asked to speak with a manager and was told If a manger was available, she would transfer me. The Rep then also hung up the telephone. I waited about 5 mins the called back. At this time the Rep that answered the telephone stated she was a manger, when I started explaining my issue, she continued to state what date do you want. I insisted on being transferred to try and disconnect my service. I was transferred to another Rep who had great customer service and attempted to help me resolve the issue, but I NEVER want to experience service like that again. No paying customer deserves that type of treatment.

Desired outcome: I would like the remainder of my contract terminated

Vivint - Alarm service cancellation

After moving to a new residence are service has been on month to month service. As seniors on a fixed income we could no longer afford 59.00 a month. I called and the company reduced service to 39.00. I later find out this reduction was only for three months. We do not need the service. We are homebound and do not leave our house besides are fixed income. I spoke with a representative michael who was rude and indignant and said he would bill an additional 200.00. I attempted to have my adult daughter cancel the service on line because I am not computer savvy and that is not an option. Call times in my attempt to cancel are anywhere between 35 to 60 minutes with no results as I keep getting transferred around.

Vivint - Home security

Mr. Nathan Lords knocked on my door on June 13, 2020, and we discussed in detaiI the services and benefits that would come with me switching from Alder Home Security to Vivint Smart Home. I agreed to switch services. Nathan Lords and I discussed the buyout process and I did inform him that my remaining balance with my current company would exceed the $1, 000 maximum. Mr. Lords claimed, "That won't be a problem." I received my balance from my former company and completed the buyback process via fax, and eventually received a gift card in the mail for $1, 000. I immediately called the customer service line and informed the representative (Suzette Cabezas) that the money sent was not enough to cover the remaining balance, and Susan Cabezas sent an email on that day saying that she will be reaching out to the sales representative and working manager to see if they could get the buyout funds increased to cover the remaining balance. During the conversation Susan Cabezas that she would suspend my payment for the month of July, which did not happen and was billed from both alarm companies. I sent Ms. Cabezas an email on June 23, 2020 informing her that I have not heard from a representative from Vivint regarding my request to increase the buyout amount or to to back out of the agreement all together due to false information provided by Nathan Lords and Susan Cabezas, and that my technician failed to test the door monitors, causing my alarm to go off at 3:00am Sunday, June 14, 2020. I have yet to be contacted by the company about any resolution regarding this matter while I am continuing to be billed for a service that is no good.

Vivint - Wireless home security system

This is the first day, I can use my computer in my HOME, today since your tech was out here Aug. 6th, 2015. When I began to experience an electrical problem, I advised my Rep immediately, long story short he dropped the ball and I have not heard from him to date. Upon the 2nd visit from a new tech, Aug. 12th, 2015 and supervisor; as to their solution to the problem was to relocate the display panel, in which we were not able to complete linkage from system to my kindle. Since then, I have acquired expenses, including a false alarm BILL. That I was not advised to expect from said city limits chrg. for a Recovery Program in the amt. of $ 31., whereas, I rec'd your Vivinit notification via mail 8/21/15. Versus the additional two (2) stmts. rec'd 8/22/15 from Bkfd. P.D. for $ 105.00 due immediately. I am terminating my Contract per your guidelines as of September 4, 2015. I have suffered enough from this whole ordeal and will pursue compensation immediately. Please note - problem has not been resolved with the electricity to date. Also note - at the time of the signing of said Contract, I advised Rep., that I was overwhelmed and had no income. I can prove I am and was under duress. I signed under distress and unstable. You may hear from my attorney or small claims. You have been advised. Thank you.

Vivint - Service

I had a system installed on 3/28. That was almost three weeks ago. It never worked properly from the start. I put in multiple requests for service. They stated the first available was in December. My last call was elevated to a manager. I did get the service appointment moved up to June 6th. Wow, that's much better. I only have to wait two months to get a service appointment for my system that is supposed to be providing security for the life and safety of my family. I do not recommend this company to anyone. In fact I recommend you run from it.

Vivint - After cancellation, the company charged again

I used the services of Vivint home Security for three months, but after that I was disappointed in their services and cancelled the contract. I called them and cancelled it and did it in written form. But the company charged me for two month after I made the cancellation. I called them and they told me that it was glitch and promised to return money. I still haven’t received it, and the rep only promises to transfer money. Please, post your comments and share your views about this company.

Vivint - misrepresentation of contract and unethical sales tactics

A door to door Vivint, Inc. employee used unethical sales tactics to acquire our business in July of 2012 with the false promise of a cancellation rescission period and a free front door key pad lock. We were promised that he would come by our home and pick up the rescission documents the following Monday. After we gave him the rescission papers, he never canceled our policy...after we discovered this, we contacted Vivint, Inc. directly and were told we had to take it up with this particular employee...then we were told, they could not get a hold of this employee...then we were told the time had lapsed and we were stuck in a four year contract...after two years of paying, we have neither used the system or gotten any further help after numerous calls and complaints. We have now sold our home and they will still not help us any further with this issue.
