Vivastreet.co.uk is a waste of space when it comes to personal ads. Their acne-faced teenage 'moderator' deletes posted ads or even stops them from being posted in the first place whenever it suits him.
From what I hear, this poor quality of 'service' extends to most other areas. Despite its many failings, Craigslist is a far better bet and reaches enormously more people.

I tried to post a free ad on this site following the guidelines provided, it was to rent a room. I waited 48 hrs to have the ad moderated and when I next checked the ad had been removed with no email or explanation !
They say to use there call screening service which costs the caller "STANDARD" landline charge per min ! Total rubbish .. 52p pm is NOT standard bt rate. My advice to you is DONT use the service, , that is if you can actually post your ad !

Hi, I recently changed my email on Viva street to an account which I had only just created. The only problem now is I do not remember what the email account was named, as I was sure to remember it. Viva street has let me down on this one as the only option I have is changing password, which would be sent to the email account I had only just created. And yes I've already verified the newly email account so there is no way of me redeeming my Viva street ad which desperately needs change, so now it's basically an ad which does not exist, which means I am going to recieve more attention from people via phone.
