The same thing happened to me... I was getting the payments taken out of my checking account. I called proactive to cancel my subscription and they said everything was cancelled including the vitamins. However, then 3 months later I received 3 overdraft payments from my bank. Proactive didn't end up canceling the vitamins... apparently they are not even the same company... I ended up having to pay $200 in overdraft charges from my bank and still have never received the rest of the vitamins I payed for... I am disgusted with the whole situation... Something needs to be done about this...

I have had the same experience as all of you with Vita-Clear. I tried to cancel everything with Pro-Active & was told they were not connected to the vitamin co. I have try 2 times to cancel the Vita-Clear thrue their customer service numbers [protected]. Today once again they told me that they were canceling the shipment, I will wait and see, if not I will be calling STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S office and file a complaint.

Vita Clear is a ripoff! I called to cancel my order two weeks ago and told them that I was going to return my shipment. Tom, Operator #3578, NEVER said that I would be charged an additional $33.94 on January 13th, probably before they received my returned order. I called today and got Tom, Operator #3578, again. He argued with me in a very condecending tone that he did tell me of the additional charge. All of this AFTER I had been on hold for 30 minutes. After trying to talk to Tom, Operator #3578, for 10 minutes I asked if I could speak with a supervisor. He said he needed a reason why. I told him I wanted to speak to the supervisor about the additional charge. He told me THAT wasn't a reason. After asking several times to speak to a supervisor he let out a huge sigh (highly unprofessional) and said ok and he didn't think it would do any good. He left me on hold for 2 minutes and came back and said that no supervisor was available and he could not keep me on hold any longer. I offered to wait, several times. Tom, Operator #3578, said it was against their policy to keep a person on hold longer than 2 minutes to wait for a supervisor and he was not going to let me get him into trouble. Are you kidding me? My bank is right now persuing unauthorized charges on my credit card from these jokers and I have had to cancel that card and get a different one from my bank (at my banks recommendation) DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT! Is Tom, Operator #3578, the only employee they have? I have never been treated so badly by a customer service representative. Isn't the whole idea behind customer service...CUSTOMER SERVICE? Proactive should not have their name associated with a company which screws customers the way Vita Clear does.

Hey Guys! so i just called this # [protected], waited no more then 5mins...spoke to a young lady named Jamie. who pretty much explained to me that i would have 1 more payment then after that no more...she specifically said that she put it in her system as cancelled under her name so if anything were to go wrong it would come back on her...i asked if i could have a faxed document saying that i cancelled it, but she said they dont offer any type of docs saying order was cancelled.

So im trusting that everything will be handled...i suggest u all call that # asap.

Peace

[protected] & [protected], after painful waiting for over one and half an hour, I hang up the phone. After that, I tried to call [protected] which is the number of Guthy-Renker, I finally had a chance to talk to person. It's like rainbow after rain, by the way.
I asked her to put me through to a customer representative. And then I talked to the CR, her atitude is very good. It was not difficult for me to cancel Vita Clear, and I asked her to give me a call after confirmation. Hope this time works and here I just want to give a advice on how to cancel.

Call [protected]. After a long wait an english speaking rep. did get to the phone. I cancelled my order and asked for a confimation number on my cancellation. She couldn't provide a confirmation no. but she did give me my customer number and her name as reference to my call. Found it to easy to be true after reading all these stories so I called back to double check that my order was cancelled and it was.

As I was on hold, I thought of how nice my skin, hair and nails were when I was pregnant and I logged onto GNC searched for prenatal vitamins-comapred it to the vital clear box-guess what-same active ingredients. So if you feel the vitamins are doing you justice, I suggest prenatals are the way to go. At least your credit card won't get charged without your knowledge. And there is a GNC in every corner. And I'm pretty sure a local Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens or CVS also carries well known prenatals.

I just called the number that Deaudtra left. But my problem is that the vitamins make me sick when I take them. I tried taking them with meals to see if that was the reason, but I still felt sick so I am sending them back. If I still get charged for them I will fight to the death. Not to mention aren't they a little expensive for a monthly supply?

The mess does not work. They make it hard to cancel. Furthermore, when I initially ordered Proactiv, the lady had such a thick accent that I couldn't understand what she was saying. I was desperate to try Proactiv that I agreed to everything when I should have hung up. It was irritating and I kept asking the rep. to repeat things. Proactiv doesn't work any better than Acne Free at Walmart, and cost alot less. I was impressed with the initial price for Proactiv, but I had no idea that the first shipment was half the size and the cost would be double later. Vitaclear is a fraud and is horribly expensive. I am nervous about what other customers have said since I just cancelled both and don't know what a hassle it will be later. I asked Vitaclear for something in the mail to confirm I cancelled my order and she could only give me a confirmation number. Proactive couldn't even give me that, all the rep. would give me was her ID#; what the hell does that tell me?

I canceled my debit card and filed a dispute with my bank, everyone should do this. Someone needs to sue this company, this can not be legal, even if they have a dis-claimer for it. I tried calling them to get a refund and to send back the crappy vitamins but you have to wait on the phone for ages. They make it impossible to get your money back. Someone needs to sue this company. Every time i called pro-active (which is where I got it from) to complain they claim that they have nothing to do with this company yet it's from the same company. Complete ### liars.

I've called the bank to seeif they could call in a dispute because this makes no sense we are all having the same problem, even my brother had the same problem in which he didn't tell me until after I ordered the product over the phone. They really taught me a lesson about ordering items over the phone. I bet that will never happen again!

I tried to cancel through ProActive and still recieved another shipment. I tried to call the number on my credit card statement and was put on hold for over 45 minutes when I found this web site. I immediately called my credit card company and they said they would contact them and cancel all future shipments and any disputed charges. I am curious to see what happens next. Live and learn is my motto.

Call the Better Business Bureau! Vitaclear doesn't answer their phone, Proactiv is a seperate company. The BBB will help you get your money back and cancel all future orders. Go to BBB.org or call [protected]. Good luck.

I have had the same experience as all of you with Vita-Clear. I tried to cancel everything with Pro-Active & was told they were not connected to the vitamin co. I have tried the Vita-Clear (Guthy-Renker) customer service numbers [protected] & [protected], left my phone on speaker for about an hour on one of the calls, but they still did not answer. Finally the call was disconnected. I tried their website & could not find a way to contact them. Just completed my second call to [protected] and, after another long wait, finally got through. For those of you who cannot find relief from this corporate bullying you could call your STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S office and file a complaint. Their toll-free and/or local phone numbers are in the front of your telephone book under STATE GOVERNMENT-- JUSTICE DEPARTMENT. Good luck. by Pauli!

I've been on hold for a quite a bit myself, trying to cancel even though my card has already been charged.
I did find that Proactiv and VitaClear are owned by the same parent company: GUTHY-RENKER CORPORATION (aka GRC Power Program--you may have seen that on your credit card).

Try the parent site for contact info in addition to the toll free number: http://www.guthy-renker.com/about/overview.php

This company IS a scam. I received my free samples a month later and that same month I got charged for this sample. I directly canceled my debit card to stop them from getting my money. I did a debit card complaint and I got my money back.. now they send me letters to pay for this product and this last letter that I received 12/02/07 saying that my account will be sent to collecting agency if my payment is not receive.

I will let them send me to the collecting agency and explain to them what is going on with a link to this page hopefully they will understand that we are not the only ones with this problem.

This company is a scam and needs to learn the lesson.

We should file a class action suit.

This company is a scam. I'm trying to cancel this also. I have been on the phone for the past 3 hours. And so I decided to google Vitaclear; this is the first thing I found. I can't cancel it because no one picks up the phone! and Proactiv is not even helping me.. I called them 3 times, each giving me the same number. This scam sucks.

I can't believe I'm not the only one who had the same problem. It's hard to cut the connection with these people once you give them your information. Ever since then, I quit ordering products online that I saw adds of on TV. I mean , if you can buy something similar in stores, why bother with shipping? There's a good reason they don't want to sell them in stores.

Funny though... This page was the first thing online when I searched for information about vita clear. I wanted to know which tablets were for which purposes.

We should demand this company... I call to cancel the ¨trial¨ and the stupid ¨agent¨ told me I could not cancel the one thats coming on December when we are just on the middle of November... and they said you cannot return the product to get a refund... thats a swindle.

I just called them [protected]) right now, the wait was alright, about 3 min.

The process is short and easy, they asked my name and zip code, and I tell them i want to cancel my acct., the person asked for the reason(probably for marketing research), so I just said it didn't work on me. And then they cancelled my acc, and tell me my shipment for 60 days supply was sent out on Nov.1, which i got yesterday, and they explained that I will be billed another 30 bucks at December (billed 30 already in Nov.). So i guess it's not that bad, tho I will continue monitoring if they bill me anymore after December.

I have ordered the trial for the vitamins, with the package of Proactive. I just ordered only the trial. After that I have cancelled my proactive membership. But still Vita Clear sent me a second box without my consent. I returned the second box but they are still charging $33.93 every month from my account. I have called to the proactive regarding this issue but they are saying we cannot cancel the order you have to call to another number. But the number which I'm calling [protected] (given by proactive) has no response no one is giving response to this number. What the hell is wrong with the company? How to cancel this program and get my money back.

I got the stupid ### trial version, and they said I would NOT receive more unless I ordered it. Absolutely NOTHING about canceling. I got a second shipment. When I called to cancel, the rep wouldn't let me. He asked me 'we'll did you even take them?' I said thats none of your damn business, I don't want them. after 15 minutes of talking to this ### he finally cancels them for me. Guess what just got charged to bank account. Is there any way we can file a lawsuit against them. this was an unauthorized payment against my account and I am pissed off.

I ended up with the same problem, and got two sixty day supplies of the vitamins. I am still trying to figure out how they can get away with not putting an expiration date on them. I don't have a clue how old they are.

I already cancelled my vitamins, and I intend to send back the second order that I didn't realize was coming (that brochure thing). This company seems less than honest at best. I wonder how a reputable company like ProActive got involved with them.

I just called VitaClear to cancel my shipments. Told them that I ordered them to try, but I haven't got the chance to since they just came 2 weeks ago. The customer service rep said, "we could hold off all shipments till Feb. for you to try the product." I just said please cancel all shipments because I will refuse all shipments if they come. She still didn't want to cancel the damn account. What the hell is wrong with the company? Can't they understand the words "CANCEL"?

I ordered my trial for the vitamins, with my package of Proactive. I just wanted the trial, and I said that I'd order more if I liked it. However, Vita Clear sent me a second box without my consent. They charged me $63.94. When I called to say that I had already cancelled, they said that the cancellation was not confirmed. I told them that I will send the box back to them. Just today, I received a letter saying I still owe $33.94 for the remaining amount. I sent the box back about two weeks ago, too.

I order the proactive and before making my payment i was told of a product name vita clear for $1.00 i said ok.
i called a month after to cancel my order from proactive, they said ok.
in that same month, i didn't received anything from proactive but i received another product of vita clear.
i called proactive to ask if this was a mistake, then said they are not associated with vita clear so they cant help me.

NOTICE AT THE FIRST CALL I WASN"T TOLD THAT VITA CLEAR AND PROACTIVE ARE DIFFERENT COMPANIES, SO IF I WANT TO CANCEL BOTH PRODUCTS I HAVE TO CALL BOTH COMPANIES.

i called vita clear, i told what happen, they told me they cant do anything, the packaging have been made, NOT SENT, BUT MADE. so i should return the product, i told them i wasn't going to be in the u.s.a for a couple months. i cant return it.

find, i asked someone to send it off for me.
this was all in late AUGUST.

IN SEPTEMBER I MADE SURE TO CONFIRM By CALLING AGAIN TO CANCEL A NEW ORDER.

IN THIS CONVERSATION I WASN"T TOLD OF A BILL COMING.

TODAY OCTOBER 5th 2007, I WAS BILLED ANOTHER $33. 94 I CALLED

IM TOLD NOW ITS PART TWO OF MY PAYMENT.

I TOLD THEM CONSUMERS HAVE COMPLAINED IN THE PAST AND IM SURE THEY WILL COMPLAIN AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS?

THERE RESPONSE IS THEY DONT CARE, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT YOUR (MINE) ACCOUNT.

THERE ARGUMENT IS THEY SENT THE INFORMATION IN THE BROCHURE, SO I SHOULD HAVE READ IT.

MY ARGUMENT IS:
1. WHAT AN ASSUMPTION, of that every CUSTOMER CAN READ?
2. SUPPOSE I"M BLIND?
3. I DIDIN"T PAY FOR A BROCHURE, I PAID FOR THE PRODUCT
4. WHY DIDN"T PROACTIVE INFORM ME AT THE FIRST PAYMENT THAT THEY ARE SEPARATE AND APART FROM VITA CLEAR?

I NEED SOMEONE TO LOOK INTO THIS CAUSE ITS MISLEADING INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC,
I'm SURE THIS HAS LEGAL ISSUES INTO IT.

Can anybody read? The Vita Clear box comes with the phone number [protected] right on it. If you call that number, they'll cancel your order. If you cancel after they've already sent your first full order (not the sample) then you'll be charged for that, unless you return it to the address (ALSO on the box). Seriously, its not that big a deal.

Just be aware, that the first full order is a 60 day supply, so you will be charged for two payments of $33 something. So when you see the first $33 bill on your credit card, its not over, you'll be charged the second half the next month. $66 for the box seems excessive.

If you have no plans of ever ordering the product past the free sample, then call the number on the sample box as soon as you get it. Its not that big a deal people. Everyone calm down.

I too ordered the vita clear trial through proactive. I didn't understand that I would be billed in the next month for a two months supply of the vitamins I haven't even used. I called proactive and they gave me this number to call [protected] and I was able to cancel. I am also going to send them back for a full refund minus shipping and handling. I think after a two months supply costing $66 I can handle the s&h costs.

I agree. I would like to cancel my order and feel relief from my credit card getting charged every month. I called Proactive and they said that they didn't handle Vita Clear. Please cancel my order now. Why is this so hard to do. Once they start billing your credit card it is months of payments that are charged and you can't stop it!
