Vendor sold me a kitten with contract restrictions. Although she knew my stance on declawing of kitten, she sold me kitten anyway under contract provisions. After receiving kitten and kitten destroyed my household effects, I requested that I be allowed to proceed with declawing this strictly indoor kitten. She refused and demanded the kitten returned with the promise that I would receive full refund. Upon returning kitten, no refund was immediately granted. Kitten was delivered to me in unsatisfactory conditon although proprietor ensured full health. I had to take kitten to veterinarian shortly after receiving kitten and it was determined that kitten had parasites and/or a bacterial infection. Even with this diagnosis, proprietor demanded return of kitten.

She shouldn't have a cat if she's worried about claws, beat it lady.

I purchased my beautiful little princess Djinn-Djinn from Angela. Angela is professional and her cats are amazing! A kitten ruined your home? With tiny little kitten claws? That's ridiculous and sounds like someone who didn't pay much or any attention to the poor thing. And what kind of monster would want to declaw a little baby? That doesn't replace training. Kittens are work. And if you aren't willing to invest some time into them then don't get one. Don't listen to the above review. It's nothing but a temper tantrum from a brat. And if the kitten had Parisians then they probably didn't take it for a follow up vet visit and the poor thing probably had a nasty littler box! Reading that eview really upset me. Angela is the best! I wouldn't get a kitten any where else!

I can't believe someone would write such a post about Angela at Velvet Rags. I have purchased two kittens from her. I intend on purchasing another in the future. I would not consider buying a ragdoll from anyone other than her.

She takes excellent care of all her cats/kittens and it is very clear upfront what you are agreeing to prior to purchasing from her. You were able to read the contract that you signed prior to purchasing. If you wanted to declaw then you should have bought elsewhere.

All of her kittens are litter trained, cat carrier trained, and trained to use a scratching post. Both of mine went straight to the litter box and straight to using a scratching post and had no fear of the cat carrier we brought them home in.

I have been to the cattery on four different visits. The cats are in the home with them in a very large and very clean room. It is obvious by the attention you get from the mother cats that they are very much loved and I have seen the care Angela and her children give these Ragdolls.

I would not base your view on this post. If you would visit the cattery and meet Angela, you would know that something is not right with this comment. I love my Ragdolls I have purchased from her. They were extremely well trained and socialized and are now spoiled rotten even more.

Please disregard the above post if you are thinking about purchasing a kitten from Angela at Velvet Rags. She is perhaps the nicest person I have met and her and her daughter genuinely love each and every kitten that comes from their home. Yes the contract states that you cannot de-claw her kittens but that is the standard in the industry and is clearly stated before you even choose your kitten. If the above person had disagreed, Angela would have given her back her deposit and end of story.

As to the kitten destroying her things I seriously doubt that. Her kittens are kept in a room with a bed and other house hold items and nothing in that room looked like it had been destroyed (she even has a rug in the room that the cats do not touch!)

As for the health concerns I cannot speak to her specific case but I have spent a considerable amount of my own time ensuring that all of her cats the queens, kings and non-breeders all look healthy and well maintained.

I have purchased several kittens from this breeder and NEVER have I had a problem. Some people purchase a kitten and assume despite this breeders requirements they will do what they want any way. Declawing is a horrible procedure - imagime removing your nails and nail beds! At least this buyer returned the kitten back to the breeder so the baby could be sent to a suitable home. However her rude remarks are simply brought about by anger because she was unable to "do it her way" Sad she missed out on a great kitten from a wonderful breeder!
