United States Postal Service [USPS] refuse of delivery

My name is Sut Han Che (Candice), I live at 1211 S. Quebec Way, Apt 3-203, Denver, CO 80231. I've moved to Denver from Minneapolis, MN last Wednesday and I mailed 33 packages on 7/11 at USPS (18 North 12th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55403). I arrived my current address on 7/13. Since my apartment is facing the mail box house, I watched the mail man(sometimes it's an older woman) came every morning at around 11am(sometimes after 12 but usually at 11-11:20am). It's always a small van(smaller than a Honda CR-V). I knew that the packages usually takes 2-9 days and since the amount is large, I kept waiting. During the wait, I received other small mails from Fedex or UPS. Yesterday, 7/21, I watched the mail man came with the small van again and was disappointed. I went to check the mail box after he was gone and found that he actually left a hand-wirtten note on a white piece of paper which is obviously torn down from a larger paper, and it says 'You have Pkgs. at the Post office waiting to be Picked up.' I was confused and shocked by the unofficial notice and I called the local post office at [protected] E Jefferson Ave. Denver, CO 80237). The person I talked to said that the packages were there for a couple of days already and that they had tried to deliver for the first time and I was not home. I told him that it was impossible cuz I literally sit infront of my window watching the mail-box building (even when I'm typing this). Then he asked for my phone number and claimed that he would told whoever was responsible for the mail the next day to call me and delivery my stuff to me. I hanged up happily thinking that I would finally receive my packages. This morning, a small van again, and I ran down to the mail-man about my packages. He told me that it was him who left the message and he said nobody had told him anything about deliering my packages and when he asked whom I spoke to, I couldn't answer. He was nice enough to give me his name, Bob and his manager's name, Natalie and said that she should be able to arrange my delivery. I spoke to Natalie and this time, she told me that I owe some postage because the people of the Minneapolis post office didn't measure and calculate the fare correctly and therefore, I would have to go to the post office to pay first, and hawl the packages back to my apartment, by myself. I asked if I could come to the post office to pay the fee and have the packages delivered to me, she refused, because "we're understaffed" and "you're living on the third floor." I offered that if they could deliver one at a time I would be happy about it. It's ok even if the mail person just knock on my door and I can go down to carry the box myself. I understand it's my responsibility to pay, but isn't it their responsibility to tell customer the correct fare and deliver the items? Finally she said that she had to speak with her manager who would be in the office in a couple hours (it's 11:15am when I called her cuz the mail man came at 11:05 today) and let me know what he could do for me. After 3 hours, I called again. Natalie said that she had already spoke with her manager, and she claimed that he came to the same conclusion as she. I asked if I could talk to her manager, she said he's already gone. At least, I had his name this time, Adam Zaborowski. She wouldn't give me a number to reach this person and said I would have to call again to speak to him. After 2 hours of helpless struggle, I called the USPS general info number at [protected] and asked for instruction. The person believe the situation is unfair to me and gave me the direct number to the department of customer affair of USPS at my location, [protected]. I called at 3:05pm and left a message. I called again at 3:30 and left another message. Their office hour is M-F 8-4:30pm.I tried to call a couple times before 4:30, still no answer.
I have already sent this to USPS's customer website. Hopefully they'll deliver my packages after I paid what I owed.

Those people are lazy that's why they don't want to deliver your packages. They are giving you the run around and they hope you will give up and pick up the package yourself.

United States Postal Service [USPS] loop mail

Both I and the Postal Service made a mistake on a $200 package delivery, but I'm the only one who pays. I had mistakenly left the apt. number off the package. However, according to tracking info, the Postal worker who carried it marked it as delivered, before actually delivering it. Thirteen minutes later the worker marked it as undeliverable as addressed. Had the worker not first marked it as delivered, the package would have returned to me within days. Because of the worker's impatience, the package did not return until six weeks later. In that time I made roughly 15 phone calls to the postal service, none of which were fruitful. When I asked today if the service would, in good faith, pay the shipping costs to send the package to its destination, they would not. Only my error in addressing the package is significant. Their error in marking the correct delivery status and in losing the package for six weeks, is not.

United States Postal Service [USPS] not getting our mail

Me and my wife moved into apartment in march of this year. We put in change of address thru the post office on broad street in elizabeth, nj. We got our mail for a couple weeks. Then we stopped getting it. I went to the post office again and the lady there had me fill out a form. All our mail keepsd going back to the senders. We put our names on the mail box but obviously that didn't help. We are still getting mail for the people who lived there before us. The lady at the post office said we problably got a different postal employee. I've tried calling the supervisor for 2 days now and have not got any response. I've lived in other towns and have never had this much problem getting my mail.

United States Postal Service [USPS] misdelivered mail

I had ordered a few Blu-Ray movies from amazon.com over the past week and kept on eye on tracking via the online website to see when they would be delivered. I noticed on one of the items that USPS had delivered one of my items so I went out to my mailbox only to find that nothing was there. I thought it was odd so I waited till the next day and still no packages and I saw that one of my other orders had been marked as being delivered as well.

I called USPS to report that I didn't recieve my first package and wanted them to track it down. I get a call later and the lady at the Mission Viejo post office tells me that the mail man seemed to have looked at the address on the mail and saw that my name wasn't the same as my girlfriend's (we live together in the same apartment) and decided not to deliver the mail to where it was addressed to but deliver it to a totally different apartment number that had people with the same last name as mine. My apt #was 267, they delivered it to 530? I don't understand why they would do that. Anyhow, I waited another 2 days and called again to follow up. The lady at the post office said she would contact the mail man and see if he can get my packages.

I get home from work and check my mail only to find all the contents of what was now 3 missing packages. Envelopes were gone and the movies were sitting there. No packing slips or receipts. One of the movies had even been opened from the shrink wrap and when I opened the case there were fingerprints all over the CD indicating that the people in APT 530 had actually watched the movie too! I also recieved a post it note from them saying sorry, we accidently opened your mail, we dont have the envelopes. Here are your movies. While I was glad to get my items back, I was still pretty pissed that 1) my mail was opened by someone other than myself and 2) one of the 3 movies I had bought as NEW was opened and used as a result. Guess theres nothing I can do about it. But to me it was totally wrong for it to have even happened in the first place. If the address on the envelope was incorrect or had the wrong name its one thing. But that wasn't even the case. =/

The tracking from usps is the biggest joke/ripoff i have ever seen. there is no tracking of an item shipped with them. they are too lazy to scan the item so there is no tracking. many times ive tried to track a package from usps and the message is always the same. (((your package was recieved on whatever date it was mailes. check later for updates)))). of course, there is never an update. i recieved a package several times and the tracking number was still telling me it was recieved on whatever date. and to check later. if you honestly want to track a package. use fedex or ups. then you can really track it.

ok, little edu for you. USPS only has tracking available on Express packages. What you are referring to is undoubetedly DELIVERY Confirmation. Guess what that does? The big clue is in the name, it confirms a delivery. And that is all it guarantees to do. Lets you know when and if a package was delivered. So obviously that is not the same as tracking as offered by Fedex, UPS, and usually only occurs once the package has already been delivered. There is no automatic tracking available by USPS except for on Express service. If you get a scan show up in transit, consider it a plus.

i agree i sent some old the simpson comic books it had tracking and insurence and it go to new jersey and 3days later it was still at thenew jersey post office so i called them and found out some rip the label off and took them .when i when to my local post office i was told i could not collect insurence untill i could prove what its worth.i asked for them to look for it three times and it was never found.i was never able to collect the insurence since i had no way of proving waht it was worth and i had give a full refund to the guy .so i lost my item and my money

United States Postal Service [USPS] using turn lanes as passing lanes

Driver using mail truck unit# 8208002 tried using a turn lane as a passing lane to go around me. As I accelerated, he did too but I managed to cut him off. This happened in the area of Harry Wurzbach and Eisenhouer Rd/Austin Hwy. The next time I will video tape it if it happens again and put it on You Tube.
Incident happened today about 6:00pm.

The postal service already gives me a bad impression. Employees can't even deliver mail to the right address. They deliver it to the next street over who tosses our mail away and the mailman brings us their mail. They are incompetent and now reckless drivers.

I am not really happy with US postal office’s service due to their services. In past 6 month, my bills (4 times) had been lost through the mail and the company such as AT&T charged me for past due (because they did not received my payment), and I had to pay $28.00 for stop payment which lost in mails, past due fee for not receiving the payment on time. When I complained at US Postal service (the local office), they were telling me that those company (AT&T) lost your payment in their facilities, and it is not our fault.
As middle men and customer, who is going to pay all the fees I have to pay and who is responsible for this issue?

United States Postal Service [USPS] certified mail

Sent a letter Certified Mail via USPS. Letter arrived at delivery Post Office (32080) next day (Wednesday). Tracking ends there, letter recipient never recieved letter (which now costs me $500 because I cannot show delivery of letter). Post Office at 32080 does not know where letter has gone, left me on terminal hold several times. Called main complaint number and told that Certified Mail really is just First Class mail and really is not guaranteed delivery. Really? I thought that is why I paid the $4.00 extra postage and was told by sending Post Office that it was guaranteed. Bottom line, Customer Service at the USPS does not care that my Cerified Mail is missing because I was dumb enough to believe that they would. I suggest that if you have something that must get to its destination in a timely and guaranteed method, use Fedex or UPS. Do Not use USPS to send anything that you believe is critical or very important, USPS will disavow any responsibility for your items.

Mail on 06/30/2012 at yet it is tired up in the Capitol Heights office some ten days later !

I letter was mailed to me on 24 March 2011 (Acceptance TUCSON AZ 85704 03/24/11 1:05pm).Label Number: LJ35 8767 545U S. I complained and they just reacted: ...there is no sure way of determining what may have happened. With the large volume of mail moving through our network each day, it is literally impossible to trace a single piece of regular First-Class Mail. In other word tough luck with your loss.

United States Postal Service [USPS] masquerades as official usps site

Website masquerades as the official USPS website for changing postal mailing addresses via internet. The actual USPS does have such a website, which charges customers $1.00 for the transaction. I used google to locate the USPS site; this was the first one displayed. I entered my data and provided my credit card info - which the "real" USPS reqires for the $1 charge for the service, and my e-mail address, which USPS also requires. My first clue that I had been conned was an e-mail from Scott Keever, not the USPS, that my credit card was being charged for the service. It is possible that by using the address data I supplied, Mr.Keever - probably not his real name - provided the data to USPS at the cost of $1.00. If he did not, what he did was larceny by trick. If he did, this is still fraud. I do not know how to attach his e-mail to this complaint. I reported to my credit card co. and confirmed that the charge had hit my account,

United States Postal Service [USPS] deceptive tactics-huge overcharge

I performed a 'google' search to locate the postal website to complete a 'change of address' in order to have postal mail forwarded to a new location. I located a website, which was the very first website to come up on the search. When completing the change of address, I believed I was dealing directly with the U.S. Postal Service. When I reviewed the 'receipt' the following morning, I noted a $30.00 charge which is a huge overcharge to what the United States Post Office charges (they only charge $1.00). Going back to the website I noted that in 'very light, fine print' it states they they are not affiliated with the U.S. Post Office. Their tactics are deceptive to say the least. I notified my credit card company and they have removed the $30.00 charge from my account.

I also notified the deceptive website and here is their response:
We do understand your concern, however, it does state on our website that we are not the United States Post Office. You also agreed to the charges and our Terms and Conditions before you entered any credit card information online. We are a filing agency and we do in fact process your change of address in a physical form to the United States Post Office. We also provide you the ability to change your address for the next 3 months free of charge.

It does state in our Terms of Services, which you have read and agreed to prior to entering in any type of credit card information, that all sales are final once payment has been accepted and we start the process of your change of address request. This was stated in our terms and conditions that you agreed to before you filed with us.

Please refer to our Terms and Services at www.usps-change-address.com for more information.

Sincerely,

Change of Address LLC

Let’s see…yep, this is the third time you said you would not respond. I guess your word does not mean much around here which indicates you lack character.
And, judging by your reply, I must have emasculated you or you would not have acted on your undeniable urge to lash out. That puts you at the level of an animal…’jack-###’ I would suppose. Oh well, if it makes you feel better.

I guess I have to admit, I should have realized you would find it difficult to swallow that you were actually manipulated. I know it hurts when one must confront the idea they've been “duped”. I was only allowing you some credit that you just might have some-even a little-insight.

Face up to and accept how I made you feel. It is not your fault you feel this way. It is mine and mine alone. Once you realize you’ve been ‘played’ (and I know you have) just maybe, you might get some inkling of what the “would be customers” feel like when they've been 'had' by a scam site such as ‘usps-change-address.com’. They would be burning under their collars, mad at themselves, and feeling somewhat helpless and embarrassed, that they were victimized in such a deceitful manner, even though it was not their fault. I do know this is how you feel whether you choose to admit it or not. No matter your rhetoric, anyone else who chooses to read our posts will know you've been ‘lead down the garden path’ so that I could make my point.

I know your pride has been hurt but you're going to need to swallow it in order to move on. And I do realize you have better things to do with your time. May I suggest you try to help others who are not as fortunate as you.

Whether you choose to believe it or not, your recent response made my argument. I know you got very upset with me due to my recent affronts which I deliberately directed at you. For those insults I do apologize however, I believed it necessary in order to make my point.

You were deceived into responding to my post. I baited you into replying even though you stated you would not. There is no better way to push someone’s buttons than by verbally assaulting them. This does not make me smarter. It only means I got you to do something I wanted you to do without you realizing it.

Usps-change-address.com is also getting people to do what they want them to do without them realizing it. They bait them into their website by using “usps” in their web address along with “change address” in order to have them believe they are going into the United States Postal Service website in order to change their address. I take no responsibility for their intentional act/deception nor should I have to.

Do you now understand how easy it is for people to be manipulated? I’m simply stating that you are unfair to the victims of intentional acts. Hopefully, someone will be there for you when you are taken advantage of. Or, better yet, I hope someone will be there for you to let you know that you may be dealing with a thief. My postings are “Buyer Beware!” That’s what ‘complaintsboard’ is all about. You need to join in.

"I'mintheirshoes" has not returned to defend the scammers who misrepresent themselves in order to separate us from our money. It appears the belly crawling snake has slithered into his garden of evil.
There are numerous areas on the internet that identifies usps-change-address.com as a scam . Per the previous article I posted, The United States Postal Service is attempting to have the site shut down.

Around this time of the year, snowbirds start going home. Jane Miller is one of those folks, packing up her North Fort Myers home and heading north.

She hit a snag on Saturday, however, when she tried to enter a change of address online.

Miller went to the U.S. Postal Service website, usps.com, but somehow ended up on usps-change-address.com, which charged her $40 - $20 for her change-of-address and $20 for her husband, who has a different last name.

Miller had changed her address before at the U.S. Postal Service's online service. So she said she didn't think anything of entering her credit card because the postal service charges for the online service.

But the postal service only charges $1. Miller got two $20 receipts by e-mail. And the confirmation came not from USPS.com but from what looked like someone's personal gmail account.

Miller canceled the transaction and her credit card company put the account on a fraud watch.

Miller is convinced the postal service site was hacked, diverting her to the rogue site she used.

That's highly unlikely, said spokeswoman Debra Mitchell. More likely, Mitchell said, is that she went to the wrong site, as other customers have done.

Easy to mistake
Mitchell demonstrated to me how easy it was to make this error using Google. None of the top three hits on the page were the U.S. Postal Service official site. And the top site was the one Miller used.

Going to the wrong website can sometimes happen when you make a typo, or use the wrong extension - .com instead of .gov.

If, for example, you want to go to the Internal Revenue Service and put in ".com" instead of ".gov" you wind up at the U.S. Tax Service website. A disclaimer reads: "This site is in no way associated with or endorsed by the United States Treasury Department or the Internal Revenue Service."

Most of the look-alike sites will have a small print warning that you aren't where you want to be. This is true even of the site Miller used for her change of address.

Some sites, however, don't have a warning. These evil-twin websites are designed to look exactly like the IRS or your bank's website, even stealing trademarks and logos. These sites are how people lose logins, passwords and credit card information to scammers or get their computers infected with spy software and viruses.

Even though Internet use is fraught with these types of dangers, I'm not suggesting you give up on it for networking, banking, making purchases or changing your address.

In most cases, online is faster and more accurate and efficient than other methods. But you have to be careful and alert, even if you're an experienced user.

And if you are a snowbird who wants help changing your address, the postal service is holding a seminar at the Bonita Springs Public Library at 11 a.m. today. Call the U.S. Postal Service at [protected].

I would say that it is a very strong possibility that 'I'mintheirshoes' is a representative of the scamming website 'usps-change-address.com.'

When David King's 99-year-old mother, Maude, had to leave her home for medical treatment, he went to an online website to change her address.

"I didn't want to have to drive to the post office and go through all that trouble, " said King. "I thought if it's done instantly, it's done."

He said the website he used was http://usps-change-address.com/. He filled out the forms, charged $20 to his credit card to complete the change of address, and assumed everything was being forwarded correctly.

"And then nothing happened and I emailed that address back, " said King.

King said he never got a response to his email asking for a refund.

7 On Your Side also sent an email to the company email address listed on the website, but we did not hear back by the time the story aired.

We figured out how King came across the unofficial change of address website. He googled "usps.com" and the very first website that showed up on the top of the page, usps-change-address.com, is the one he clicked. What he didn't notice was the fine print on usps-change-address.com that says the site is not affiliated with the United States Postal Service.

The United States Postal Service spokesperson, Harry Spratlin, told us the website is a scam. Spratlin said it charges users $20 for what the postal service's official website only charges $1 to do.

"All they have to have is graphics, they can create their own graphics, " Spratlin said. "In fact, one of these website was using our postal emblem."

Spratlin said the USPS already shut down one of the sites and is working to shut down usps-change-address.com, too.

"If they are doing this all over the country it needs to be stopped because they are using the US postal service as a means to scam people out of money, " King said

Spratlin said there are are some legitimate websites that provide change of address services. But he said the sites are not affiliated with the USPS and a complete change of address may be done on their official website without risk.

Again you just don't get it. Climb down from your ‘short bus’, remove your safety helmet and drool cup and I”ll try to talk reeeeaaal sloooww and to the point, so that even you can understand. Rather than posturing on the defensive and slamming victims, as you choose to do, I choose to share my negative experience so that others can be forewarned of this deceitful site. The $30.00 charge is not on my bill and my credit card company has put a stop to any additional charges this crook is attempting to make. Game over, except to warn other potential victims of this scammer. You should try likewise. That is what complaintsboard is for. It is a tool to help others. Try studying up on it. You might even become an asset to society.

School’s over. Now, you may put your safety helmet back on, reset your drool cup, climb back onto your short bus, walk all the way to the back so that we can keep you safe from harm and let the driver take you back to your ‘special needs’ school. I promise I won’t steal your thunder about ‘not wanting to be you.’

You state "Companies can't steal from consumer's if they use due dilligence." I don't know what utopian world you live in or what brand of rose colored glasses you wear, but companies steal from consumers all the time. $30.00 is not a nominal fee when the legitimate website only charges $1.00.
Why do you think complaintsboard.com and other consumer websites exist to begin with? Why are the courts filled with people suing companies for misrepresentation and stealing? Why do news companies make themselves available to consumers to help them fight individuals and corporations who would take advantage of them or even steal from them? I guess Bernie Madoff is in jail because he was just a nice, misunderstood individual and those people he was convicted of stealing from did not read the fine print before investing their hard earned dollars with him. I would guess your take on this would be, ‘His customers got what they deserved.’

Since you don’t seem to get it, it is common knowledge there are predators on the internet looking for prey. They will use any means possible to capture victims and take their money. Usps-change-address.com is a predator. Just the fact that this person uses “usps” in his website address but is not affiliated with United States Postal Service would tell anyone that he is sucking people into entering into his web expecting it to be the United States Postal Service. That is deceit. There are many other complaints about this website other than mine.

OH, I get it now- your moniker, “I'mintheirshoes” is your way of saying you represent those companies who rationalize their right and ability to steal from society using any means possible.

Isn't it wonderful how you were able to go through the Usps-change-address.com website process step by step, with their customer service department no less, and compare usps-change-address.com with the actual U.S. website. Unfortunately for me, usps-change-address.com did not post the differences while I was actually making the change of address.

And, I would guess that you totally missed the part of my complaint where I point out:

"By the way, yesterday my credit card company contacted me and advised that this individual is attempting to put additional charges onto my account. They have put a stop to his attempts and have turned it over to their investigative unit."
Now, why would my credit card company turn this individual over to their investigative unit if usps-change-address.com were not attempting to perpetrate fraud by charging additional dollars to my card? Wouldn’t you agree that it was fortuitous of me to call my credit card company and complain about this company’s deceptive practice to begin with? Had I not complained, who knows how much money this fraudster would have stolen.

So, you would have complainants believe that usps-change-address.com is a legitimate business because of their disclaimers. Because of this, you would have us believe it is ok for them to steal our hard earned dollars. There is a need to point out that a disclaimer does not give license to steal. It is illegal to enter into a legal agreement when one party is knowingly trying to steal from the other. Usps-change-address.com is blatantly trying to steal additional dollars from credit cards!

May I remind you that whether ‘stuff’ is stupid or not, it is your job to provide customer service to those who require your help. I’m sure your managers have felt it necessary to inform you of this many times (if you actually work for a credit card company). I don't know what credit card company you work for but my credit card company provides a service to protect me from business' such as usps-change-address.com.

Isn’t it odd, that while you claim to work for a credit card company, you would feel the need to take the time and look up ‘usps-change-address.com’ on “complaints board”. This complaint is not listed under “credit card complaints” which is where you claim your professional background to be. You must have an awful lot of time on your hands to defend this parasite at Usps-change-address.com. While I agree one should accept responsibility for their own actions there are actually people out there who will use any method to take your hard earned money from you by using deceptive tactics. When I looked up 'united states change address' on google, 'usps-change-address.com' was the very first url address on the list. Why would this service use '"usps" in their web address except to deceive an individual in order to have them enter into their website?
My father in law, who was being put into an assisted care facility, was recovering from a near death illness. Obviously, I was in a hurry to have his address changed and this was only one of a number of tasks that needed to be performed as his situation was sudden, very grave and unforeseen. I'm sure you are aware there are a lot of con-artists out there who would take advantage of such a circumstance as well as any number of situations. And yes, some time ago, I have made other changes of address at the proper url address and it did only cost me $1.00. I also know it to be a free service if I go into a U.S. Post Office and fill out the necessary paperwork there. For convenience sake, I chose to do it over the internet.
For your information, I feel it to be my public duty and moral responsibility to forewarn other individuals of this person's devious tactics so they too, can be made aware. If you fell into the web of such a bloodsucker I would hope that you too, would want to help others by using your negative experience to help educate the honest, hard working public and making them aware of such deceptive tactics. I choose to try to help the public. However, it seems you would rather put your efforts into chastising the victim for being stupid.

Share Company represented itself as USPS. the actual site does not have any disclaimer. any info is in small font and in transparent print. I contacted the site to not charge my card because of their dubious and fraudulent practice. the company charged my card without my approval and also made additional illegal charges without my consent or knowledge. the company has had numerous complaints and when I contacted the owner they informed me that refuse to return the charges they made illegally.

I work for a credit card company that I cannot name. We had a customer file a dispute with us regarding this company. I was taken step by step through the website process by their customer service department. I am writing to clarify that we did see the disclaimers and compared the official USPS website and usps-change-address.com’s website. The differences were astounding. There are too many differences on every page for anyone to claim that they did not know it was not the United States Postal Service website.

The customer failed to read the TOS and entered into a binding agreement. His failure to read what he was agreeing to is not grounds for disputing a valid credit card charge. You cannot place a charge on this site by “accident”. It must be a deliberate act and agreed to by each client.

I am not writing this as an employee of a credit card company. I am writing this on my personal time and from my personal computer. When you fail to read what you are agreeing to, it is YOUR fault. I am so bothered by people who don’t pay attention to what they are doing and then call ME expecting ME to correct their screwups. I get yelled at by irresponsible customers all day because they don’t pay attention and legally there is nothing I can do. This isn’t the only site that people try and renege on there financial obligations. It is amazing the stories I hear all day long.

You agreed to pay this money to this site and probably others too. Then when you realize you could have bought an item cheaper or got it for free somewhere else, you want out of the contract. Well buddy, it doesn’t work that way.

I am so tired of people whining about the stupidest stuff. YOU agreed to the TOS. YOU submitted your CC info on a page that has it posted TWICE what you were going to pay! You checked a box that agreed to the TOS before you got the CC page! YOU got yourself into this and now you want your CC company to bail you out?

This is a scam. If you accidentally think you are dealing with the US Postal Service and get charged a fee of 19, 95 notify your credit card company and they will reverse the charges.

I should've been more intelligent with this change of address issue. I willingly gave my credit card number and was charged approximately $30 for the change of address. I didn't realize I could go to USPS website and change it for free. Do NOT use this website. This is a scam. I learned my lesson, as a result of my own stupidity, during the stressful time of selling, buying and moving.

Been at this address along time. Never had anything missing. Get a new mailman and I have a package missing and I think he mis-delivered it to another address. He was very rude about it and said maybe the person with bring it to you. Never came. I filed a complaint at their 800 CS number. Wasted of time. Talked to my post office bigger waste of time. If it happens again I will file a complaint to the Inspector General about the lack of help and report my mailman and his boss for doing nothing about it and being rude. Use UPS or Fedex and pay bills online. Safter that way.

You must be a USPS mailman. The idiot cost me 100.00 because he's learning. Never had a problem before him. I have tolerated allot of mistakes from USPS. Now I and many others are getting tired of it. I guess if he cost you 100.00 you wouldn't be so nice.

Sears repair people are idiots. You have a 4 hour window waiting on them to get there and then its not fixed. I had them at my house 9 times and they didn't fix the problem and they did damage to my kitchen floor. Took them to small claims court and won plus I got back all the money I lost waiting on them to finally show up. 2 times they never showed up at all. Sears also have other repair companies under different names like A&E. If you use another company ask of they are with Sears. These techs lie allot also. They are a total joke!

I can see why so many people are not going the route of USPS to get packages delivered. How can a letter carrier deliver two of three packages to the right address and the third one turn up missing. Maybe he/she took it for himself is my only guess! Delivery confirmation is a joke as they can leave a package with anyone and say it was delivered as addressed. Who is the one to monitor these people? And when you try to get a trace on the package, everyone passes the buck! Never again!

United States Postal Service [USPS] usps warren (12 mile & mound)

The Warren Post Office located at 28401 Mound Road is in need of a transformation; the automated machines provide better customer service and are more efficient, as well as having no attitude when you approach them. Today I was at home when the USPS came to my door. I reached the door, opened it and found the mail carrier walking down my driveway to their mail truck. I yelled, "HEY!" They would not turn around. They got inside their truck, looked at me while I stood on my porch, locked their safety belt and drove off. There was no way this mail carrier could have completed the "Sorry we missed you" notice in the amount of time it took me to get to the door; it was obviously pre-filled before they got out of their truck. It is also obvious that this mail carrier made no attempt to get me my parcel which required signature. I called 1-800-ASK-USPS and filed a complaint. Unfortunately, this is one of several that I have filed over the past several years ranging from poor front desk service to being ignored when I asked to speak with a supervisor. The PO General is never there regardless of the time/day you ask to speak with her; she doesn't return phone calls; nobody knows that I've even placed a call asking her to call me back. It seems that I always get to speak with a "supervisor" who unknowlingly ends up with the complaint because of the number of times I've had to call this branch. I'm thinking that machines in the best way to go for this USPS branch and maybe I should buy a PO Box so that I'm ensured of getting all of my mail in a timely manner without having to make extra trips to the USPS to do their job. Really wish this branch was on the cutting block - - too many customers complain while their inline about the poor customer service they're about to receive because we all know who we don't want waiting on us.

This post woman is unprofessional, irresponsible for the 7 months I've been here I've seen more people come to her about lost mail wondering where it's at, always smiles and promises empty promises 😭 my debit card took over 20 days when it only takes 7 to 10 working days, she lied same sometimes it takes 20 days or more, going against company policy sing sometimes it takes over 20 days, I desperately ask for her help she refused and this is the kind of courtesy I get with her giving me the finger no wonder why she has stalkers on the street asking her for mail sometimes she hides her mail truck so no one will find her and all I wanted was my debit card so I can get out of this evicted house being in danger of going to prison for trespassing luckily I didn't get in any trouble although we need another post woman on

For some reason the warren michigan post office has been sending my important mail back as undeliverable. The sent my stimulus, federal, and state returns back as undeliverable. Also my hard copy of my Michigan State ID back as well. This has been going on since May of 2020. I would like to know what in the hell is going on? This issue needs to be resolved ASAP!

I have a complaint for all the substitute carriers that do Nancy's route.
I seen a African-American carrier doing Nancy's route today Sat 12.20.2014.
I called this person and she/he ignored me and continued on with their route, I have on my mail box, DO NOT CROSS THE LAWN, PERIOD. Do you hire people that don't have any education or can't read English?
How ###ED can you be to DISOBEY what the sticker is telling you?
This will be the final time I am bringing this to your attention, if this continues, I will have to go another direction to have this resolved!

United States Postal Service [USPS] not receiving mail

I recently moved from one apartment to another in the same city. Right after I moved I called everyone I receive mail from and informed them that I had moved and gave them my new address. I am also a recipient of food stamps and was expecting a form that would allow me to continue receiving benefits. After weeks had passed and this formed had been sent out more than once, I went to the post office and was told that I had to submit a formal change of address. I completed the written one and also the online form. I have until the end of this month to get my form returned and I completed these forms toward the beginning of the month. I was told it would take a maximum of 10 days to begin receiving my mail. I now have 5 days until my food stamps form is supposed to be reviewed. I have called the post office multiple times and was told that " you should be receiving your mail this week" and " oh it's been 2 weeks? Well sometimes it could take up to 2 weeks. you should get it tomorrow" and also "I don't know why you have not been getting your mail. I'm off work tomorrow but I will leave a note for the carrier." Needless to say I haven't received so much as a coupon book since I've been at my new address and thanks to the post office and my current work situation, I may not even be able to buy food for quite some time. Thanks Jerks!

US Postal services is ridiculous. Many of their staff members are rude and very unprofessional. The so called mail carrier in my area decided which letter to put in my mail box and which one to return to the sender. Between April 15 2013 to May 30 2013, I hardly received mails. There was a period she decided to put loads (excessive) of advertisement papers in my mail box. I suspect she gathered those junks that belong to other people and slot it in my mail box. I furious but emptied the box. Not knowing that she called her supervisor that my mail box is full, that I have not been collecting my mails for some time (malicious act). She said, she guesses we have travel out of state. So, she decide not to put any mail in our box again but to return any mail that comes to our address back to the sender, Despite that the mail box was emptied. We don't know this post carrier from Adams, never seen her before in my life. My husband has to hang around the community mail box to wait until she comes. That was when she lied and tells her untrue store. About mail box being full and she thought we travelled and she decided to return majority of our mails for almost 4 weeks. The service is very frustrating. However, I will not give up until I get to the bottom of this issue

Deaar sirs, I reside at 2524 Cresaton Ave. F7 and I have been expecting a chech from SDF Management
Company which was supposed to be my last check to receive . I called the company to see ifthe check was mailed out and the office manager said they mailed it out a wk ago but I have never received it .
Also every time i receive any kind of mail it comes to me already opened and when i ask the security guard why was the mail opened he replies " it came that way " I feel as if though someone is taking my mail and opening it and also I have some important documents that i was to get in the mail from H.Bruce Fischer /Attorney
and it was returned to him twice . I have been residing there since 12-10-2010 and have not moved since..
Can you please help me. ? The only thing i have received are medical bills but the envelopes already opened.

United States Postal Service [USPS] united states postal service continue to provide unacceptable level of their so-called &service&

This concerns a package delivered to Kelseyville, CA., P.O. On July 11, I received a notice & called immediately. As I am elderly & legally disabled, it is rather difficult for me to get about. I was assured it would be delivered the next day.

The next day a parcel was delivered, but it was the wrong package. I gave it back to the mail-lady who said she had seen my package. She searched the van but it was not there. She told me it may still be at the post office and she would deliver it the next day. Other packages were delivered the next day, so I thought no more about it until I realized that one delivery was quite overdue. The seller forwarded me a tracking number & I was shocked to learn it was delivered fifteen days earlier. A phone call to the post office on July 27, received the response that I could fill out a form to request delivery or I could pick it up. Of course that's a cruel joke, since I'd have to go to the P.O. which is at least 10 miles away to fill out a form.

So my husband took time off and drove to the Kelseyville P.O., but they refused to speak to him since he was not me even though he had called in advance and was expected. My husband -- anticipating this ploy often used by petty bureaucrats to abuse patrons -- and I was in the car.

So I went in, but Mr. Smith decided now to play stupid games and instead of producing the package with speed and perhaps an apology. Instead he had fun making me go through the line a second time and proceeded with deliberate sloth to extend his powers another 15 minutes instead of producing the package.

I was very annoyed and the postmaster, Charles Rick Smith, who told me to get to the back of the line again. After some words he told me I could have my package when he was good and ready to give it to me.

Does an individual officer have this kind of power? It is most unpleasant to be treated so rudely by an employee of the US Post Office. A junior person apologized. The postmaster just sneered at my distress!

In October of 2017 I mailed a letter and sent it Certified Return Receipt. This includes a tracking number and a card for the recipient signature to be mailed back to me.

After a month, I had not received my signature card back, so I got online to the USPS website and looked up the tracking number. It said it was on a truck ready for delivery, dated three weeks previous to that day. There was no information about if it was delivered or not.

I know once they are delivered and a signature has been obtained, it will say so on the tracking information.

So I filed an inquiry on this tracking number and information that was listed on the website. I waited for two weeks and never received anything. So I filed another inquiry. A couple of weeks later, still nothing.

So I filed a complaint with the USPS Consumer Affairs division. I received a letter from them telling me that the tracking number I paid for on the Certified Return Receipt does not track the package or letter all the way to its destination!

Thats interesting, considering I told the USPS clerk that I wanted a tracking number that would tell me when the letter got to where it was supposed to go, as well as get my signed card returned.

WHY would they sell a service that has a tracking number and it does NOT track your shipment or mailing all the way? Seems to me, this is yet another SCAM by the USPS to bilk even MORE money out of the public.

Liars and thieves is what they are. I paid for a FULL service tracking number, not a HALF WAY tracking number.

And on top of all of this THEY HAD NO IDEA WHERE MY LETTER WAS!

So, I paid money for a service that they "sell", only to find out that service does not even exist!

I go to FedEx for all my shipping needs now. It might cost a few cents more, but EVERYTHING I have shipped through them has gotten to its destination!

I used that automated postal machine in the lobby on 9/7/13 since they were closed. I put in my information and the machine took my payment, then gave me a BLANK postage stamp!

So instead of my package getting to where it was supposed to go on Monday, I had to wait to go in person on Monday to get this fixed, which made my package late!

I took my info up to the cashier in the post office where I used the machine. The cashier stood there lying to me, telling me it was not their "thing" to take care of, and giving me all sorts of excuses as to why she "could'nt" do anything.

I told her to get the manager, so she disappeared in the back for about 10 minutes and then came out and told me the manager would be out by the machine in about 10 minutes.

I waited out by the machine for almost 20 minutes, and then went back inside. The cashier said "he didnt show"? I said loudly "NO"! She said she would go get him again.

I waited for 5 more minutes by the machine, and the manager FINALLY came out.
He checked the machine and said there is nothing wrong with it. I showed him the blank sticker it gave me, along with my receipt. He stands there telling me that there is nothing wrong with the machine. So I ask him how I got a BLANK stamp then. He didnt say anything. He just grabbed my package, went to the cashier that had the attitude and told her to put stamps on it for me.

The cashier said she would help me after the person she was with.

She not only helped that person, she helped the person behind him! Then handed my package to the next cashier who couldnt have cared LESS, as he helped two people instead of me! Then the cashier with the attitude grabbed my box back and then put stamps on it. They couldn’t even bother to upgrade my small package to overnight to make up for their stupid machine not working, their attitudes and lies, and making my package late!

I was there for almost 45 minutes, getting attitude and lies from the cashier and then the manager. And this should have taken LESS than 5 minutes!

And they wonder why people hate them!

And this "manager" had his photo in the lobby with the words "Manager Customer Service" on it. LMAO! Yet another lie!

I went in to my local branch of the Post Office (a large station) in Charlotte, NC at about 10:30 AM in the morning, mailed some packages and then tendered a United States Postal money order for $155.00 to be cashed and was told that they did not have enough money in the cash drawers to cash it. That I had to return later in the day. Can you imagine the time wasted and the cost of gas today having to return at a later time? This seems to be a standard practice with the US postal service, and very unfair to we Americans who have to comply with their unfair costs and practices.

I'll bet that if I wanted a money order for $155.00 and want to pay for it later in the day they would not give it to me.

Mail is not being delivered In Whitehall, NY 12887. Saunders street, West st., School street, and others are not getting mail delivered. Only getting mail delivered on Thursdays and Fridays. When I asked about it, the mail person in the post office, I was given excuses such as: Nobody has anything important to deliver, they didn't feel like it, not enough people have mail, I was even told that I didn't have any mail, when I new for a fact that a company had shipped me mail overnight! (went to post office personally to ask them to look for it, the guys working there were rude, and reluctant to search for my mail...But, yes, my mail was there! they just didn't want to be bothered to do their job!) I didn't know that the United states postal workers had a right to decide what mail is deemed important enough to be delivered to me!? I have gotten so many bills late, that I have incurred late charges on bills that I had no idea that were sitting in the post office. When asked the postal workers about this, they stated that the problem isn't theirs, that it has to be somebody elses's! How can this be when the other half of town gets their mail on time?

I have had nothing but problems with the USPS in Oregon for over 20 years. They constantly Fail to Pick-up out going Items, Deliver mail to wrong address (they deliver my neighbors mail to me and Vice Versa), they have lost packages that took up to 6 months to arrive if they arrive at all and the Icing on the cake STOLEN GOODS that were found in the homes of and on the person of USPS employees. I so fed up I'm looking into going to Law School just so I can take em to court.

I just lost $3k worth of merchandise to them in 8 weeks. Here's how we fix em. Since the theft is all employees, I am looking for a few honest people willing to set up a GPS ring of packages to mail. What we will do is mail packages through the same facilities that have workers that have robbed us blind. We put a delivery confirmation on all but no insurance for damage. When the packages come up missing, we will be able to open a software program that lets us see where our GPS unit is located, hence where the thief is. We then begin turning our information into the police or FBI for a large scale investigation into postal service theft. Then, we turn it into John Stossal, or another talking head, that will give national coverage. If no one uses them, guess what?

Unless your undelivered package was sent Express mail it is not actually trackable, other services that are offered just confirms delivery and it depends on how the sender mailed your package with specific instructions as to if anyone other than yourself (even your husband) can or cannot pick up the package. As for having to go to the post office to fill out a form, that is not necessary. All you have to do is call 1-800-ask-usps and schedule a redelivery. Lastly, unless your package was insured the post office is not responsible for misdelivered mail, all that can be done is a complaint can be filed at the above 800 # and then forwarded to the person who answers and investigates the complaints. And you can file a complaint about your local carrier and/or postmaster as well..

United States Postal Service [USPS] website missrepresented itself

I did a google search on usps change of address. The first website in the search was www.usps-change-address.com. I went to that site thinking that it was the governments (i.e., usps) website. I filled out a change of address form that was on the website and then I was told that I need tto pay $20 by credit card, which I did. After this was done, it suddenly dawned on me that this website had missrepresented itself as the governments usps website. I turned in an IC3 report and notified the credit card company of the fraudulent chargge. I think that Google should disallow this website.

Add another one to the list - I too fell for it. Reports filed with my bank and USPS so far; BBB and the police later in the week pending actual service. Did anyone actually receive the address change requested? If so, I do believe this to be a legitimate service, albeit an unethical one. If no service is performed, I wish us all luck in pursuing refunds.

I have just been duped into this and will file a freudulent charge on the card, but the money ($30 x 2 for me and my wife) has already gone out. We are British and live in the States and I thought this was right, because in the UK, the Royal Mail do charge for a postal redirection (for a 12 month service it's about the same cost). I called my bank to reverse the charge, but it's too late I think. I feel very cheated.

Sounds like trickery to me. I almost fell for the same website. When I saw that I had to pay, I knew it was not the official thing...this is at the bottom of the webpage in light grey font. You NEVER have to pay to do an address change with the USPS. You just go to the local office in your new town, and fill out a change of address form, turn it in, and tah dah! No fee unless it is for a key for those new "community mailboxes". If there is a "key" fee, it is usually only about 3 dollars. Best wishes.

United States Postal Service [USPS] dropped package in the yard & my dog ate it!

USPS mailman was being paranoid about someone stealing my package from the front of my house. So he went all the way to the back and threw my package over our wall into the backyard with our three dogs! When I got home, my $200 CD collection was all over the yard. The CDs were damaged beyond recognition. I asked the mail carrier personally why he had done that and he said he didn't want to leave the package in the front where it was visible. I filed a claim with USPS and they said it was not their fault because it is comparable to the package being left outside and it getting damaged from rain. IM LIVID!

Do NOT trust Burbank USPS!

United States Postal Service [USPS] damaged packages

If you give your post man an item, and a wad of cash, he, or any other Postal Service employee that touches it, is not responsible for anything in any way. I learned my lesson the very expensive and hard way to always insure my packages. But guess what happens when the recipient opens the package to survey the damage; the insurance is void.

I sent an HD Television set to a customer through USPS, and a week later, got a nasty email about the condition of the product. I asked for pictures, and what they sent me was horrifying. The box was completely destroyed. It must have been crushed by something 10x it's own weight. The box was then wrapped up in packing tape a few dozen times to stop the box from disintegrating, and NO admittance by the USPS that they damaged the packaged. I called them up, explained the situation, and was turned away when they found that the package had been opened. They thought I was attempting insurance fraud. I've tried numerous times with different people, all with the same outcome. I know switching to the private sector for my shipping needs won't hurt the USPS at all, but I need to feel some sort of justice. I'm out almost $800, and for what?

I am absolutely beside myself with the United States postal service. Both pieces I received from 2 completely different ebay sellers arrived shattered. As did the 2 previous pieces. I plan to contact the postal system and express my frustration, however it is difficult to find the correct contact. Despite packages marked fragile and items wrapped in plenty of bubble wrap this has happened too many times, I did apologize to the sellers for the inconvenience this is causing. I will likely not be purchasing any other unique rare fragile pieces that would need to be sipped. Now that other shipping resources are simply handing over my packages to USPS, I cant possibly continue shopping for certain collectible items online. With shipping rates so high one would think they could exercise more care. I have been devastated and heartbroken this week 4 times!
These packages come from sellers all over the US. The common factor is the large shipping depot and my local facility. While most often the seller has insurance and provide a refund, that does not compensate for the anxiety, depression, disappointment, theft of my passion for collecting that have accompanied this deplorable service. Electronic mail will not be the demise of this service, their own blatant disregard for quality service will!

USPS Delivery has been absolutely unacceptable. I have shipped through USPS parcel post with insurance 4 packages in the last 2 weeks. 2 of which, by the time they got to the destination, the boxes were unrecognizable. 1 which had a forklift tine shoved through the side of the box, into the well packaged china and destroyed it, the USPS delivered it to my customer (it was insured) in that condition and blamed it on me, I must have shipped it that way. The last package insured for a 1000.00 contains a very expensive bicycle, paid for insurance, paid for tracking, paid over 126.00 to ship. Tracking number shows nothing online, customer still hasn't received it. USPS cannot give me any information after a dozen phone calls and calling customer service and calling the local post office and running up my cell phone bill for 2 hours and 43 minutes of "hold time" I still have no answers. If the package can't be found, what happens then
I WILL NEVER USE THE USPS FOR ANYTHING AGAIN. I have switched all of my mail to electronic, I will ship my packages through FED EX, because UPS here isn't much better than USPS.

I would like this fixed.

United States Postal Service [USPS] refund runaround for garaunteed delivery

Sent a package to Austrailia via international express with garaunteed delivery of 7 business days and when it took almost a month to arrive due to an issue somewhere in transit and not with customs they refuse to give a refund to a garaunteed service. It has been almost 2 months and still nothing I've sent them all required information they have asked for and the refuse to send me the proper paperwork to request a refund. I continually receive the runaround from each "customer service" rep as well as their supposed "supervisor". When asked to speak to their manager, they say they do not have a manager and I have to, get this- send a written letter to the consumer advocate for a formal complaint. Nothing like making sure they receive every nickel out of this. Why is it that a trillion dollar Government branch does not provide up to date technology to handle complaints of their disfunctional processes? It's been almosts 2 months and it will be another 2 months for me to continue with this for $60. I'm sure this happens to thousands of people that most likely give up and the USPS never has to issue a refund. Imangine how many millions of dollars they are not refunding for legitimate claims on failed garaunteed services! Unless someone can help me find the means to accomplish this and I don't give up, I am sure they will keep my hard earned money in their pockets.
