uShip payment scams

Uship 's new payment program is a scam for new investor's, this is to show high intake of revonews to make loan officer's or investors to beleive that uship is making all this money. Matt chasen (official rep) the founder of uship has him and he's crew of people sitting around woundering how they can get more money out of the consumer and give them nothing in return. Matt chasen is needing money, I received a e-mail over the weekend from a exemployee of uship showing me doc's of a loan matt chasen applied for the first of this year in the amount of 4million dollars and only received just under 2 million dollars from privite investors, the expmployee stated to me that he was glad someone was turning them in and that he left because of all the scams going on at uship. Dear consumer's uship is not a transport company they are a wesite where the consumer post a vehicle (S) to be transported by transport company witch are the company you the consumer receive bid's from, now I have been in this trade of shipping vehicle's for over 15 years and the fastest way of shipping vehicle's is c. O. D's, now with uship's new "safe pay" program that is now no longer, we have filed a complaint with the attorney generals office and with federal trade comm. It has been made very clear to me from these agency's that uship is violating every transport company's term &condition on this website, what uship does not get is that the consumer is on uship's website looking for a transport company to move there vehicle (S) now once you accepted a bid from a transport company you are now there customers and you have to by law understand there terms & conditions of how that company operate's it's business of transporting vehicle or freight, uship once again is not a transport company and doe's not have a mc number to transport anything you the consumer are paying 22% on top of the bid's you are receiving to get a phone number & e-mail contact thats all, if anything go's wrong uship does nothing because they are not the responsible party your shipping company is. Now we where suspeneded for not accetping one of these new "safe pay" loads and we have opened 5 new business profile's on uship in the last week just to prove that uship does not check out the company's that are bidding on uship's website. If you what to go around uship and save a lot of money just google the transporter's company name and more then likely they will have a website with there phone number on it or just call us at [protected] or go to are website ; http://wwwtrotterautotransport.com. Thank you please be carefull lot of scams on uship.

uShip comsumer fraud alert

Uship is a consumer scam, They are not bonded nor do they have MC number and they do not check the company's they are on there website bidding on vehicle's, Be very carefull of uship and if you do use them read the terms and condition of the company they you are going to pick, 99.9 % of them do not accepted there new scam witch is "SAFE PAY" this is a scam you have a choice to not accept this when accepting a bid, Pay your transport company not Uship, Uship is doing this to have false banking statement to show investors, Remember Uship charges over 20% on top of the "TRANSPOTERS" bid and all you the consumer get out of that is a phone number and a e-mail address That's all. All thee bids you receive on uship you have there company names just google them and more likely that company will have a website and you can call them direct and be blowen away on how much cheaper the price will be them what you receivered thur Uship. We have turned in Uship for there business practies this week [protected]) to the Attorney General office in witch they have sent us all the paper work for this complain and we will be fax's it to several different company's that bid on Uship as they have already stated they would add there complains they have with Uship plus sign on are"s. If you have had problem with Uship please e-mail those in writing to [protected]@hotmail.com Please include a contact number and your full name, we have already just in two days received hundreds of complains, Please keep them coming we will be turing these over to attorney generals office with are at the same time and we will be showing a lot of these to DATELINE NBC as they are going to Interveiw me about this growing problem. I feel your pain. Literally. Matt has tried to sue me, defame me and many other crazy, childish actions that he feels he can create. It is great to hear the traction this has received in such a short time and I look forward to getting a call from dateline NBC about uship so I can give them my perception of how they have treated me over the years and the documentation I have compiled about the scams and illegal activity. Don't forget to let them know about Benchmark and their Board of directors, Mickey Millsap and how he stepped down after the barrage on "ask Mickey" from pissed off TSP's and the mental issue Matt Chasen has.

Great talking to you and hopefully someone can supply a bunch of links to support your case on this page for great reading

uShip uship scam

Trotter Auto Transport.com has been bidding on vehicle from uship for over 2 years now and we have seen some of the worst service and customer service by uship ever. Just remember U the consumer are paying uship 20% above are bid to get are phone number and e-mail address, Thats all you are getting out of uship, this is a big scam. I will tell you how to get around uship, Post your vehicle (s) on uship and the bidders names will come to you as they bid on your vehicle, Now just take that business and GOOGLE it and 90% of the time they will have website with there phone number on it, Now we at www.trotterautotransport.com have received meany phone call this way and when we tell the customer how much we bidded on there vehicle they are blown away on how much cheaper it was to call us direct, sometimes by as much as $200.00 dollars. Uship now is offering a new payed program, When you accepted a bid on uship the customer can pay the hole amount of the bid to uship and uship will not release the money to the company transporting your vehicle until it is delivered and the customer go's back to uship and state's it's been delivered, Sound's great right well this is not great program. 99% of all transport's are done by c.o.d.'s so the problem is with out the transport company dealing with the customer directly with the transport charge's we will not be able to transport your vehicle by c.o.d's no more witch will result in vehicle's not being transported in the timely matter that the transporters do this in. We at Trotter Auto Transport it is in are Term and condition on uship and are website that c.o.d.'s is are contract with the customer. Now today [protected] we received a e-mail that if we do not change are terms and condition and or cancel any order's accepted by a customer on uship they will suspend are account with uship so we can not bid on vehicle. Why is uship doing it this way, So then you accepted a bid you will think that's what you are paying for and you will not see how much uship is charging on top of are bids. just no if you have a insurnce claim uship does not help you with that only your transport company so stop getting suckered in by uship and there very high charges and THEY ARE NOT A TRANSPORT COMPANY.

EX USHIP CARRIER
Deer River, US
Apr 10, 2012 8:20 pm EDT

I agree with most of the complaints that are coming in about Uship for the most part we have had some very good customers from Uship. BUT Uship is NOT for the carriers they back the people shipping the item and NOT the shippers that give them 100's of dollars per week with booked loads. Being shippers we have to carry insurance on everything we haul we have costs as well but we are the fall guys for Uship for sure. In the past 31 days we have booked 21 loads and we have collected $15, 000 dollars from customers. Now for the break down on the average we have paid 23% to Uship in booking fee's well we haven't the customer's have had this added to their billing which they have been lead to believe it's a Booking Deposit. But the carrier never see's one thin dime of that money it's paid direct to Uship. We have had issues and gone to Uship for support or backing and been slapped in the face and had our account put on hold. Out of the money we have collect we have only put into our business $3, 247.60 this is for 21 booked loads one month total profit. Now here's what Uship has put in their bank account on our 21 booked loads $7329.80 ! Uship is in it for Uship and they double dip the customer and the carrier takes the fall customer gets mad for some reason and Uship passes the blame onto the carrier who has to do all the explaining to the customer. Carriers aren't allowed to work out details we are limited as to what we can say and if we say something Uship don't like we get flagged and accounts get suspended. If we bid something at $900 Uship adds 15% to 25% to the bid and the customer sees a bid for the $900 plus the added so the bid from the carrier would read $1125 which the customer has to pay the $225 which they call a booking deposit which leads the customer to believe the carrier has received the $225 which we haven't gotten. If a shipment goes south and can't be worked out then then the customer asks for a refund of this money from the carrier which in turn we have to direct them to Uship as we haven't gotten their money. So Uship slaps the carrier with what is called a cancellation and if you get 3 of these your account is suspended and your not able to us Uship until they say it alright. At times a cancellation can't be helped but it don't matter Uship slaps the carrier every time. We drove 900 miles out of our way to get a motorcycle only to show up and be told the customer found cheaper transport. When we contacted Uship they pretty much told us tuff ### we can't force the customer to use your service. We were out the fuel, lodging and meals for 3 days until we could book something else getting us to the next drop point. We were 3 days late picking up an item due to snow storms in Nebraska and Uship emailed us and called us wanting us to get the item picked up straight away. When we told the customer uship we weren't able to drive as interstate 25 was shut down by the state patrol they gave the customer a refund and slapped us with a cancelled shipment and flagged our account and suspended us for 30days. Again we were unable to talk to booked customers and ended up losing 100's of dollars but Uship still collected their money and left us hanging. I would love to see a class action suit started against Uship for their actions... Please if your a Uship customer don't be so fast to shoot the messenger go after Uship first.. Thanks for your time... EX Shipper for uship

uShip rip off

U-ship is a ripoff. I know I use u-ship to find stuff to haul w/my pick-up and vehicles to drive for people to try to make some $

First of all the people running u-ship use deceptive practices both w/shippers and tsp's.

Next they do not care about an honest person trying to make a buck. All they care about how much money they can put in matt chasen's (The founder) pocket. They charge tsp's that go beyond what they consider a normal cancellation rate extra bid fee's. Just way for them to rip folks off and put extra $ in chasens poicket.

A lot of guy's are bidding rediculously low on stuff and undercutting others who are placing reasonable and fair bid's. Also there shippers who have no idea about how much it really cost's a tranporter in fuel, maintaince and insurance for his truck.

Lastly, when a shipper pays a deposit to u-ship the tsp does not get it though u-ship tells the shipper they do. It goes to cover the tsp's bid fee. U-ship does not tell the shipper that. I've run into quite a few customers who did not know that I don't get the deposit they paid.

It's time for u-ship to stop being so greedy and stop being so quote nuetral and start being honest and fair!

USHIP does not allow the service provider, to disclose the fact that USHIP add a fee to the bid amount. Also we can not post any company contact . The Lister of an item to ship gets charged a fee to list the item, USHIP adds fees to the bid amount, and the shipper pays a fee to receive the balance of funds owed to them. I don't trust the company but it is very hard to find brokers in the boat shipping sector of trucking.I am currently suspended from USHIP for 30 days because a picture of my truck shows the company name and a phone number. USHIP understands, if a customer can call the shipper directly, they would not have any more business. The trucking companies would be able to run the loads at a lesser amount because our bid would not have all the fees tacked on the it. They hold all the card and hold a thumb on the tail of us, so we can not do anything on our own. I hope I am not alone in my opinion about this company, USHP. My name is Alex and I am a service provider in the USHIP directory and I haul boats.

u-ship is a scam they charge unreasonable rates for using the site if a customer of a service, provider, makes any type of complaint they freeze my acct. tell the customer its the ser.prov. fault .i have been on location to pic up an item in at at least 4 occasions and customer would not pay half of fee as agreed to, in "bid details", but u-ship puts the blame on me.suspends my access to find other items and raises, my rate for using there site it was almost 30%, at the time i quit working w/them.i urge any one, PROVIDER OR SHIPPER, TO AVOID USHIP AND PAY-PAL, THEY ARE PARTNERS, IN DECEPTION.IM SEEKING AN ATTORNEY TO RECOUP MY MONEY LOST WHICH HAS PUT ME OUT OF BUSSINESS.SINCERELY KEN SNEAD 7101, STRAWBERRY RD.CHATAM VA.24531

uShip profits off criminals

I hired a shipper with outstanding customer reviews. Trusted uShip's representation as hosting real movers. Result: my things are gone. The mover took off, disappeared. Learned that uShip doesn't even have up to date address for the guy. Doesn't have any other contact info. I'm out $20, 000. Uship: "sorry, we're a neutral third party."

Have others had this happen to them? Send me a note - I'd love to hear about it.

uShip western union wire out of country

I am suppose to receive 2 macaws from Washington state and the company called from Maine area code. I have no problem sending shipping cost to a business, however the only payment they will accept is Western Union shipped to a person in Modolva Republic. They don't have a quick claim ID. They claim that the company is being audited and can only accept Money Wire transfers. They speak broken English and over the phone it is constantly broken up like a cell phone going into a tunnel.I have been emailing back and forth for over 4 hours. They're typing keeps getting larger, like I can't see. I emailed everything to the main company to try to straighten this out, so far no response and they don't have a listed telephone number. If they really have the birds they will find a way to accept proper payment even COD.

uShip allowed for a fraud and will not honor insurance

Booked a shipment thru USHIP - accepted a bid from a shipper with a lot of feedback. Paid fee and deposit for accepting the bid. Shipped picked up my shipment, quarenteed 72 hour delivery and insured per his profile on Uship. Shipment was to be completed, delivered to me by 12/24/2010 - well past the 72 hour guarentee. Shipper failed to deliver then and now. Now he refuses to deliver and expects me to pickup or pay Storage fees. Uship - "we are 3rd party and are not liable". How about FRAUD? They supposedly have a FRAUD insurance up to $500? Paid 1/2 the shipping via Paypal - along with the fee and deposit up front - have filed with Paypal - have a tentative refund - meaning - if shipped does not have funds - I am really out of pocket along with my items the shipper is holding for ransom.

uShip # and has no standards

I use USHIP as my main source of jobs to move car. trucks and trailers around, but there is no regulation on who can bid on jobs on the site! There are smoes bidding on jobs that dont have DOT, MC CA or insurance stealing jobs from me cause they can offer a lower price well no *** they can its because they arent paying to be legal! I wrote U[censored] and they said they are just a "freight forwarder and broker" and that legality of the shipment falls on the customer to "ASK" thats ### a customer should be able search for a provider and not HAVE to worry about whether or not they are legit! and they keep taking more and more from us a shippers 2 years ago it was about 8% off the top now its 13.9% and fuel is still going up ***!

I used UShip and the carrier was disasterous. She was to take my dog in the cab with her because the dog wil not be crated and two cats in carriers. Along with this she agreed to move 19 boxes & some small furniture pieces. Besides being totally tardy to and from my dog was put in a horse trailer along with a horse. My furniture was in the horse trailer along with a horse and my cats were in a small carrier with no water and a full litter box. My furniture was covered in shavings and smelled like a stable. A chairs is fabric covered and reeks. My small wood dresser has also absorbed the horsie smell. To add insult to injury pieces were marred, scratched and broken. Thank goodness I taped all the boxes well. But even those had horse urine/poop (?) stains. Cost was $900 from CA to TX.
Now I'm in the process of moving from TX to CA with the same load...sure hope I can do a better job of selecting help!

Next time you should try this fairly new website called ShipAlmostAnything.com instead. They do not charge a commission, which will save both the trucker and the consumer some serious $$$. Plus, they have an open communication platform that allows us to talk to and pre-screen all potential haulers. Avoid getting ripped off and use a different service.

uShip theft

Sadly uShip may be one of the most dangerous sites on the web. It purports openness, but it is really a platform for theives and scam artists. Nine out of ten of uShips "carriers" are illegal. And since almost all of the people that want to ship on uShip have little or know experience in shipping they become easy victims of over charges, extra fees, damage, and theft. The vast majority of uShip "Service Providers" are just a guy with a truck. They haul without license, authority, bond, or insurance. uShip executives are fully aware of this, but deny any responsibility saying that the users police the site. The problem is that the users are amateurs and they don't realize that they are being scammed in most cases. Further, since uShip limits communication between carriers and users it is impossible to determine if a scam is in the works until it is to late.

if you are a carrier and you drive a van or any automobile under 10001 gvw you do not have to have a mc number or dot number and you do not have to log in a log book you cry babys crying because you want to charge a shipper high dollar to ship they freight so you only have to do one pick up and one drop that is because the trucking industy are just a lazy bunck of drivers now days get out and work just like the rest of us bid a lower bid get more pick ups and earn your money then people may start shipping with the small carries again is has got so bad that it is cheaper for a shipper to put there freight on a big truck and wait a littke longer to get it so stop crying and go back to work thats why the usa is in the shape we are in people are lazy now.

uShip dishonest scam

I was a transporter on uShip.com. After 3 months of LEGAL transporting, uShip suspended my account for "Unauthorized communication" with a potential customer; I let the boat customer know that I carried cargo insurance and that any other transporter who did not, left the boat owner liable for any loss or damage, even if the transporter had "full coverage" insurance on their vehicle... Also, I let another customer know that USHIP CHARGES A FEE FOR THEM TO USE THEIR SERVICE. Bad boy! They are dishonest, unreliable, unaccountable and outright deceptive to anyone who works with them, uses their transporters, or works for them...

uShip don't use it

Bought a pair of Macaws from a gal. She used Uship. We agreed on the price of 600.00 dollars. The shipping company called and said the birds would be delivered. Then 1 hour before delivery they said they needed 1500.00 more because of pet insurance. Don't deal with anyone from this place. I am out 600.00 Thank goodness I never gave them more! Yes I was sick of talking to that Arab voice that you cannot understand. Hope they get what they have coming to them. Never, never, never again! Please people be careful of scams!

uShip scam - never got my puppy

I found a dog online that I wanted to adopt from a private seller. She used U Ship to 'ship' the dog. They hit me for a $300 fee and then the next day said they coudn't ship because the dog needed $580 life insurance that would be refunded at the time of delivery.

So like idiot, I paid it. So we payed them a total of $880, then they said they would be shipping. Then the next day they said I needed to pay them $725 for a dog crate because the one the owner dropped off wasn't good enough because of the climate!

So they called me because I refused to pay and the guy couldn't hardly speak english and then hung up on me! Then they sent me an e-mail an hour later saying that "since I was complaining and doubting their company they had no option to send my money back because they didn't want their reputation to be brought down over a few dollars!" I'm still waiting for my refund, because they wanted me to pay $175 for them to refund my money!

It's one big scam!

that was not uship that you dealt with. It was a Nigerian "puppy scammer" who was using the name of uship to fool you. Please google "puppy scam" and read all about it. Sorry you got taken, but uship is nothing more than a website that connects people who want to ship something with people who transport stuff, and they connect those people for a fee.

What you experienced is the classic scam, and no relation at all to what uship does.

I agree. There are homeless pets everywhere. Do not pay for a pet unless you get it from your local pound or rescue farm.

Lady are you on crack? This is obviously a scam and it's only suckers like you that keep ### of the earth scam artists like this in business. I can't begin to imagine how many 100's of not 1000's of homeless animals and puppies there are in Cleveland that you would have to resort to wanting to "ship" one from Washington. You should've seen the red flag and told her to buzz off as soon as you heard this, then kept looking on Craigslist for a LOCAL pet. There's a reason they warn their customers to always deal LOCALLY. How could you fall for this ruse? :(

uShip - scam

U Ship is nothing but a means to hook you up with the sleazy low life shippers. they take their cut of the deal, and do not look back. I had a terrible experience with them, I e-mailed them several times to intervene in resolving the problem with a sleazy shipping company called Chase Nationwide Transport, operating out of Oregon. uShip the worst

This website has to be the worst thing ever. As someone else has stated all they care about is thier money. They don't care who is legal and who isn't. They make you accept thier user agreement that makes them never at fault for anything. As much as I hate goverment control over everything they do need to step in and do something about this site. All these people on here that lie about being legal or having the insurance that they don't have. I'm suprised you don't see alot more about people destroying other peoples property and then not having the insurance to cover it. I am a legal transporter and would have no problems with the site if they would get rid of the wanna be's.

I have been a registered uShip provider in Australia for several months now after responding to an email they sent me. We are in the vehicle transporting business. In that time I have quoted extremely reasonably on many loads going in the same direction of our trucks on return trips and have not received a single job out of it. I estimate I have offered around 15 bids.
I think everyone that uses this service thinks they will get their job done for almost nothing, but if you are a reputable, insured and licensed business you have to charge accordingly. We have offered up to 70% discounts to snare a load home and not snared one. One example is that we had a truck returning from Brisbane to Sydney (about 1000klm) and we quoted on around 3 cars as a return trip at $500 each and didn't even get a response. It's frustrating and a waste of time. The customer would have received a great door to door service and we would have covered our fuel cost only.
Only 3 provider companies on the Australian site have any feedback - the highest being a 2!
I'm also surprised with government agencies who insist on us having full insurances, licences, ABN numbers, business names etc yet there are pensioners (nothing against you personally!) who offer services using their own cars with a trailer to complete deliveries. It's just extra cash to them, but it's our business.
I will deregister my business from uShip in the next couple of weeks if I continue to be frustrated by unprofessional tactics. We cannot and will not compete with cowboys.
Pity help vehicle owners if an accident was to happen due to lack of experience and insurance. In our line of business I have seen many instances where single car trailers being towed behind another car have jacknifed and overturned. I just hope nobody is killed by one of these thorns in the side.

I just used uShip for the first - and last - time in May. I accepted a bid from a shipper to transport a horse I bought. What a complete nightmare! Paid the first deposit. Paid a 2nd deposit at shippers request. All they did was lie and never picked up the horse. I had to pay a different transporter to bring my horse. I have been able to recover the first deposit back through PayPal, but not the 2nd -yet. What I have seen now with uShip is yes, they only care about the $, but they have some big deal about the "feedback". They don't want negative feedback left. They told me I would have to let them take off the negative feedback I left in order to file a dispute!
What the heck does one have to do with the other!? It gets even better - they "suspended" my account for non-payment! Non-payment of what they have yet to explain. Not that I would ever use them again, but to be treated like I am the criminal is going too far. Do you think they suspended the deadbeats that stole my money? Oh, no. After 20 days of still not receiving a refund from the shippers, I sent them an email and told the that if they didn't pay me by this Friday then I would file a complaint with the Internet Fraud Dept. - and I will. They proceeded to send me a lot of emails calling me names and saying the most unbelievable crap - totally nuts! I'm also going to check much, much further into uShip - I think their business practices need to be lawfully checked out. I would not, under any circumstances, ever use uShip again.

uShip terrible business practices

Uship is a contemptable business in which customers- woith no knowledge of the cost of transportation- are allowed to set their own transportation prices. The drivers on Uship- are often not licensed, documented, or insured. The customers make bids so low that no American driver who pays taxes can take the order on- but the illegals can avoid taxes and fees by taking every low paying job on this site. Uship itself only has one function- to collect fees. They do not allow anyone who has not paid them for sponsorship any opportunity to succeed using their site. DO NOT USE USHIP- put it this way- Would you trust the gardener to replace your toliet? Call a REAL TRANSPORT COMPANY. ONE WITH A LICENSE- OWNED BY AN AMERICAN.

uShip - no customer service

Uship has no way to register complaints or receive customer support. I paid the mandatory deposit to have a vehicle transported, but their software didn't work and the provider was not contacted that I had accepted his bid (which should have been done as evidenced by me having to pay a definate down payment). There is no way to contact U-ship to alert them...

uShip failure to investigate complaints

uShip.com is internet based company offering a forum for transportation service providers (TSP) and shipper matching. It functions similar to a reverse auction in that shippers may list a shipment needing transported for Transportation Service Providers to offer service and bid. The shipper can select TSPs from the offers received for their shipment. The transportation service provider is charged a fee for each booking of a shipment when the shipper accepts their bid and offer.

uShip's User Agreement clearly states that Transportation Service Providers must be legal and licensed to perform the service. It further states a disclaimer that uShip is a neutral venue and is not responsible for information provided by the TSP. It is the responsibility of the shipper to verify the information and credentials provided by the TSP offering service to the shipper.

In a recent shipment listing, I followed uShip's guidance and recommendations uShip provided to verify the TSP's credentials and to ascertain that each TSP was a legal motor carrier as required by the US DOT's FMCSA regulations and federal statutes. One particular TSP responded submitting a US DOT and Motor Carrier Authority (MC#) number as requested. (This authority was required to legally transport my shipment across state lines) Upon verification of the numbers in the FMCSA database, it revealed that the motor carrier authority presented by a TSP company listed on uShip as Boat Hauling inc., was assigned to a different company name. The FMCSA database provides address, phone numbers and other contact information for each legally registered motor carrier. Using the information obtained from the FMCSA database, I contacted the real owner of the motor carrier authority numbers that had been presented by the uShip listed company, Boat Haulers inc. The legal owner of the motor carrier authority was Apache Transport LLC. The owner of this company denied any affiliation with a company DBA Boat Hauling inc. and further stated that company was not authorized to use the motor carrier authority.

The motor carrier authority Boat Hauling inc. represented to be their own was obviously being illegally used and without the knowledge and consent of the true legal owner of that authority.

The legal motor carrier (Apache Transport LLC) contacted uShip and informed uShip of the illegal activity. (email documentation) He additionally requested uShip provide the identity and contact information of Boat Hauling inc so he could pursue legal action to stop further illegal use of his motor carrier authority and report the crime to the appropriate government authorities. (email documentation) uShip declined to provide the requested information stating uShip would only divulge that information to police or other government authorities. That is in accordance with uShip's policy. However, when presented evidence of a crime, would not the ethical action be to report it to the appropriate authorities and cooperate with the victims of the crime? I can find no indication uShip made a report to authorities or offered any cooperation to the legal motor carrier whose authority had been illegally and falsely presented.

At this point, uShip was, or should have been fully aware one of their TSP members had presented another motor carrier's authority and represented them as their own and subsequently falsely claimed to be an affiliate company. Despite that knowledge, uShip has to date, failed to take corrective action to remove Boat Hauling inc from their list of active TSP members available to provide transportation services. Further, they apparently continue to present obstacles to the legal motor carrier's investigation by not providing the information requested.

In a subsequent posting in the uShip forum titled Community, Trust & Safety, I posted the full details of the activity including the actual response from Boat Hauling inc where that company had submitted another legal motor carrier's authority falsely representing them as their own. Rather than take appropriate action, uShip deleted the post effectively hiding the facts from other uShip users.

The fact that uShip does not verify a TSP's credentials allows illegal transporters to participate without concern that uShip will disclose their illegal transporting and illegal use of other legal carrier's authority. This has made uShip a haven where illegal transporters have access to thousands of shipments.

I would suggest that any ethical company would immediately investigate the facts, which in this case are indisputable, and cooperate to assist in prosecution of the offender. However, rather than provide information to the legal motor carrier company, or even prohibit the company Boat Hauler inc from further participation, uShip deleted forum posts and effectively hid the facts.

You be the judge...

Is uShip hiding the identity of illegal transporters?

Is uShip obstructing justice?

Is uShip completely void of ethics?

I actually think it would be unethical for uship to divulge someone's contact information without a police report. Who's to say whoever calls them isn't just saying they're someone else. I would feel very unsafe using a site that would divulge my personal information just because someone calls and says they need it.

It facilitates the shipment of large or bulky items, such as furniture, vehicles, and freight, that may not fit traditional shipping methods. Users can list their items, receive bids from carriers, and select a service based on their specific needs and budget. The platform offers a variety of shipping options, including local, long-distance, and international. uShip provides a space for customers to review and compare carrier profiles and feedback to make informed decisions.

uShip In-depth Review

In Summary: uShip is an online shipping marketplace that connects customers with independent transporters to ship anything from household items to vehicles and freight. The platform offers a variety of services, user-friendly website navigation, and competitive pricing. While there are some mixed reviews regarding customer service and shipment reliability, the convenience of the booking process and the breadth of shipping options make uShip a notable player in the shipping industry.

Overview of uShip: uShip operates as a shipping marketplace, allowing users to list items they need shipped and receive bids from carriers. It caters to both individual and business shipping needs and is particularly known for facilitating the transport of large or unusual items.

Services Offered: uShip offers a wide range of shipping services including vehicles, boats, household goods, pets, heavy equipment, and freight. The platform's versatility is a key strength, accommodating various shipping requirements.

Website Usability and Functionality: The uShip website is well-designed with a clear interface, making it easy for users to navigate and find the information they need. The site includes helpful tools such as a shipping cost estimator and category-specific guidance.

Pricing and Value for Money: Pricing on uShip can vary widely since it is based on a bidding system. Customers can often find competitive rates as carriers bid for jobs, but it's important to review bids carefully for value.

Range of Shipping Options: uShip's marketplace model provides customers with a broad range of shipping options, from local deliveries to international shipments, and the ability to choose from various carriers.

Ease of Booking Process: The booking process on uShip is straightforward. Customers list their shipment, receive bids, review carrier profiles and feedback, and then select a transporter to book.

Customer Service and Support: Customer service experiences with uShip are mixed. Some users report satisfactory support, while others have encountered challenges in resolving issues with shipments.

Reliability and Timeliness of Shipments: The reliability and timeliness of shipments with uShip can depend on the individual carriers. While many customers have had positive experiences, others have noted delays or communication issues.

Insurance and Protection Policies: uShip offers shipping insurance through third-party providers, giving customers the option to purchase additional protection for their items during transit.

User Reviews and Testimonials: User reviews of uShip are varied, with some praising the platform for its convenience and cost savings, and others pointing out issues with specific carriers or customer service.

Mobile App Experience: The uShip mobile app provides a convenient way for users to manage their shipments on the go, with features similar to the website. The app is generally well-reviewed for its functionality.

Coverage and International Shipping Capabilities: uShip offers extensive coverage, including international shipping options, making it possible to arrange for shipments to and from various countries around the world.

Business and Industrial Shipping Solutions: uShip is also equipped to handle business and industrial shipping needs, offering solutions for freight, heavy equipment, and full truckload shipments.

Environmental and Sustainability Efforts: Information on uShip's environmental and sustainability efforts is not prominently featured, so it's unclear what specific initiatives the company may have in place.

Comparison with Competitors: Compared to traditional shipping companies, uShip's marketplace model offers more flexibility and potentially lower prices due to the bidding process. However, the level of service can vary more than with a dedicated shipping provider.

Pros and Cons: Pros of using uShip include a wide range of shipping options, potential cost savings, and a user-friendly platform. Cons may include variable service levels and less direct control over the shipping process.

Final Verdict and Recommendations: uShip is a valuable service for those looking to ship unusual or large items and for those who prefer a range of options and potential cost savings. It is recommended to thoroughly vet carriers, consider insurance options, and be prepared for some variability in service levels. For those willing to navigate these aspects, uShip can be an effective shipping solution.
