UPS destroyed items

Had to return two vent free fireplaces and was forced to use the ups freight hub located in Federalsburg Maryland as this is who was used to ship the items to me. After two weeks (I was told the shipment would arrive a the destination in ONE DAY) I decided to call the receiving company. To my surprise I was told the items arrived totally destroyed and were refused, called ups in Fed. and got a very nasty and unprofessional lady (Kathy) who seemed like I was bothering her for calling. She basically said here is a number for the claim! Gee thanks nasty lady. Well its been over two months on a claim of 4800.00 +/- that they know they cannot get away with. Not to mention I had to REBUY the fireplaces for my client to have them in time for a business grand opening. So I'm out almost ten grand for now because of these incompetent people. I have ordered all my vendors to NOT ship via ups freight or I will find other vendors. They very quickly agreed!
DO NOT EVER SHIP VIA UPS FREIGHT

UPS deliveries

Use to love the guy that made deliveries for this company. For months now the new driver is lazy and a liar. Continues to say he's made attempts to deliver when all he did was drive by, if that much. We live up a 300 ft driveway we share with 2 other houses. He has often left shipped items by the road to be found at a later date. Refuses to drive up the driveway to attempt to leave packages. I have complained many, many times but to no avail. Apparently if he 'sees' a dog, the big brown truck offered him no protection. So he drives on. Doesn't leave a notice at the end of the lane most of the time. Had a substitute driver earlier that had no trouble. We have a big horse/tv combo bigger than his truck, so that can't be the problem.

I have asked REPEATEDLY a to have the delivery driver put my package on my fro t porch at my DOOR. Not on the porch where it is visible but I if you put by the front door it’s out of site from the street. Almost had two things stolen as my package was actually left in my driveway where it’s two steps from the side walk. These young boys were walking back and forth and my neighbor happen to be leaving and saw it and Immediately pulled up and scared them away. This is outrageous and I spoke with a customer service and they said they would correct it. Well, it worked for a minute and now they leave it on the steps (only 2 steps away from door) and it would be out of site. I am sick and tired of this. UPS use to be the best delivery and now Amazon has them beat. They do what you ask. It’s not tough. Are they getting lazier or what? Not the UPS I was with back in 1990. They were strict and you did what they said. Today every body does what they damn well please and what’s easier for them,, I want this fixed. Sick of it!

UPS non shipment of forgotten jacket

1. I'm Carole Faraizl from Garland, TX & I was on a 12 day tour of Turkey & Greece [W/10/15-SN/10/26] & was at the Encore Hotel/Izmir on Tue/Oct/21, when I forgot my jacket in my room. 2. When I got back to TX, I emailed the Encore on Mon/10/27 to see if they had found my jacket - & they did. 3. There followed approx. 2 doz emails between me & the hotel trying to resolve the issue of how to pay the $270 UPS shipping fee for the return of my lost jacket. 4. The Hotel asked me for all my address & for my VISA card info, which I emailed to the Hotel. 5. Then UPS told the hotel they would NOT accept my VISA CARD info that I gave the hotel to give to UPS for me. 6. Then I was to WIRE the $270 that UPS told the hotel was the shipping charge to the hotel bank account & they would pay the fee from their bank account. 7. Then UPS told the hotel that I was to go to my nearest UPS store in Garland & pay all the money from there & the USA store would take care of everything from the USA! 8. Finally, today, I emailed the Hotel & told them to forget trying to ship my jacket to me & to just give it to someone in need of it that would appreciate it, & 9. I bought myself a new one online just like the former one, only they were sold out of the black replacement one I wanted, so now I had to buy a tan one! 10. The Hotel & I were BOTH disappointed in the unreliable "HELP"[?] we got from UPS in Izmir ! ! ! 11. The hotel & I tried everything we could think of to get my errant jacket shipped back to me, but to no avail! 12. & I worked for UPS back during the Carter Administration & I do NOT recall anything like this uncaring attitude happening while I worked there! 13. I'm out the $83 for the lost brand new black jacket that I bought especially for the tour & now I've also lost another $83 for the replacement jacket in a color I don't particularly want.

UPS horrible deliver service

I have lived here 6 year. For the entire time, ups has been horrible. My packages are left in the driveway, a few times in water, or in the sun, ruined keep refrigerated medicine, they stand by the street yelling 'ups"
If they come into the screen room they hardly ever ring the bell, and i am disabled. I cannot lift and they just throw my packages on the ground, i need them to just slide it over the door step. Sometimes they throw the package, or leave it on the ground in the screenroom. The deliver last week was a package left at the sliding door, without knocking. I was home, and in fact was 5 feet from the sliding door. Which he could see through an saw i was home. I want my doorbell rung. . I want to have my package slid over my house over the doorstep, calling the ups local center is a nightmare, they are rude, nasty to me, and refuse to treat my delivery with respect. I am so sick of them. They do not care what you say, they do what they want. I was promised by the general manager that he would make sure they knock on my door and attempt to give the package to me. Said this is their policy not just for disabled elders that never was enforced. Today the deliver buy was standing on the driveway yelling ups ups. I heard yelling and opened my door and had to yell back to come in and stop acting like this is a farm. He then came into the screen room after i told him to come in and threw the bag with my medications on the steps in front of me. I cannot get it off the ground and he was so disrespectful and abused my package that i was really upset. I have had them on my outside cameras and showed the mistreatment of my packages to many of their managers. Nothing ever changes. They continue to be the monsters they they act like.

I have MS, and had arranged to have my medicine delivered on Friday Nov. 30, 2007. My Insurance company asked if I if it was okay for me to take full responsibility to have the medicine delivered without signature, I agreed because I am not home much during the week because I attend school part time and work full time. I got home about 9:20 est. pm expecting to see my medicine in front of my door but all I saw was a sticky note saying that they will make another attempt to deliver the package the following business day which is Monday December 4, 2007. I was furious. My medicine is temperature sensitive and can only be left out of the fridge for 72 hours!

I called my insurance company to see what happened, they checked their records and stated in their system that my medicine was supposed to be delivered without a signature and supervisor was so nice to call UPS to see what the problem was. She called me back later and told me that the package was in a warehouse and it was locked and it was drivers discretion that the package not be left.

I called UPS Saturday and early this morning now they are saying that it is company policy not to leave a package without signature which that can not be true, I was diagnosed with MS 2 years ago and never had a problem with them leaving my medicine at the door with no signature. I have been in pain the last couple days and I know that my medicine is bad and I will probably have to send it back and reorder and wait a couple more days. Please if you have any thing important to have delivered please do not use UPS and if anyone knows a lawyer who could take the case please contact me.

You will NOT get UPS to change the way they do service just for you.
They are not going to hand a package to you unless the signature required line is marked and almost nobody wants to pay for the added service.
If you do not like the way they do it then use a different service.

Tha hell you need a lawyer for lady? The way I see it UPS was trying to help you out by not leaving the package at your door. According to you telling them in the past that you did not want to have a package delievered. I understand you have an illness, but please make sense. LATA

UPS ups ran over over dog in our driveway

A UPS truck ran over and killed our family's beloved 10 year old yellow Labrador in our driveway on Friday, September 19, 2014. The driver pulled into our circular drive where our two labs are contained in our invisible fence. He delivered our package at the front door, got back in his truck, did not look for our dogs, but instead accelerated too fast, ran over our lab, then dragged her for 20 feet (we have many pictures of the 20 foot mark of her fur and the black screech of his tire). He left the scene and called a supervisor to come to our house. I drove in the driveway soon after it happened to find our beloved dog laying dead in our driveway. I, along with my 4 year old and 2 year old daughters, jumped out of the car and cried and stroked her head until the driver supervisor appeared about 30 minutes later. The driver did not try to contact us in the days after the accident. We have told many neighbors about what happened, and most have had terrible experiences with this driver and how fast he drives and how he throws packages from the sidewalk up on to their front porches. After speaking with the driver supervisor and asking to have this driver re-assigned to a different delivery area, she said her "hands are tied" and there is nothing she can do because this man is a Union driver. We not only are devastated about the loss of our family's pet, but now angry that UPS can not make necessary changes when it needs to happen. We have had a call into the Nashville Center Manager since Friday (5 days ago) and have yet to hear from anyone. We have every intent to pursue this issue, and to keep this horrible tragedy from happening to others (which sadly, I have read of numerous other cases where UPS has killed dogs in their own driveways). This has to stop.

UPS cohorts with malaysian customs

I bought a roller ball pen, 1 x refill for the roller ball pen, 1 x travel watch storage case and 1 x liquid cleanser for wrist watches from www.JOMASHOP.com online. The merchant used UPS to deliver the purchased items. The cost to purchase was USD 233 with shipping was priced at USD 44. When I received a call from UPS, the delivery guy asked me to pay RM 396/= (equivalent to USD 125) as the duty, I was pissed off and requested him to get his supervisor to call me instead. No calls came so after two days I called UPS and was handed from one person to another and the last guy I spoke to promised that he will pass this case back to customs to review the duty charged as the items that were purchased do not attract duty in normal circumstances. The dutiable items are fountain pen and Indian ink, whereas this is a rollerball point pen. Anyway, to cut the chase, no calls came back as well and after a few days I called gain. Anyway, the duty remains the same as this UPS guys have got no balls to talk to Customs official and this is the attitude of "it's not our money anyway". Who cares about the customer? Why was not I consulted before the duty was paid by UPS? They have my contact details. Further queries are like talking to a brick wall. I will never ever use UPS again and I like to see the way they are going nowadays - DOWNHILL. I wish them all the best with their trip DOWNHILL and with an attitude as they have, they should be hunting for scraps soon.

UPS horrible customer service

The worst dealing with ups ever, package sent from USA to Canada, once here wasn't home for 1st del and seeing as the taxes were COD didn't leave it at my house, fair enough and understandable. So I called that night before 5 and asked if I can pay for the COD charges over the phone as I wasn't going to be home the next day. Not a problem was my response and paid the fees Notes where put in there system by the agent as it was Thursday afternoon and needed it for the weekend. The next day no delivery was left and said wasn't able to leave due to COD fees. Called and talked to the agents and told nothing they could do till Monday and he would out notes in the system again saying to leave it as COD was paid for. Asked to talk to manger several times with no luck. Worst company ever wouldn't use them for any reason anymore. Won't even buy from a company that uses them as it only creates a headache.

UPS late delivery, amaged packages

As soon as this driver showed up on my route, i knew i was in trouble, so i started keeping file on him.Packages out for delivery, but driver did not deliver, for one excuse or another, until next day, 26, that is 26 times that tracking showed item out on truck for delivery, but driver would not deliver, til next day, on purpose!Did not say nothing until package showed up with Big red arrows pionting up, he delivered with arrows down, but the one that made me contact driver supervisor was $1300.00, brand new amp, that showed up distroyed.So i called driver supervisor in Lufkin, Tx, told him why this driver wanted this route(driver is my nephew, his mother, and i do not talk to since 1998, when she raided safedeposite box, when my mother passed away, and my little sister and i got screwed out of that money), that's why i keept record of driver screw ups.Supervisor said he would talk to driver, and i asked him to keep it confidental, well he did not keep it confidental, he told my nephew everything, i said.My sister called raising hell.After i asked Driver Supervisor to keep it confidental.Now UPS will not deliver to me anymore, after 35+ years of deliveries, this driver said he is scared, well i have never said anything to driver, so why is he scared, ?because driver supervisor told driver everything i said, so do not report a driver, they can do no wrong, UPS decides to no longer deliver here.Well it seems this driver got just exactly what he transfered to this route for, to disrupt my deliveries, and he did just exactly what he set out to do, and UPS, is letting him dictate deliveries.This fellow is a big JAR HEAD marine, me, i am missing a leg, and have had 3 strokes, and I am 63 years old.This is my business we are talking about, my living, i depend on these shippments, and for UPS, to let a driver do this, well it is plumb communist behavior.I have donated over $4000.00 worth of knives to the Make-A-Wish foundation, They were raffled off for a lot more money than that.Next, I will be donating a knife to raffle for local volunteer fire department, I have always gave back.I told UPS in Lufkin, if you were not going to do what you got payed for, then send package back to sender, instead my shipper emailed me, and UPS in Lufkun said i would pickup package, no such thing said, it is a 120 mile round trip, they are doing this so package sets thier for 5 days, before they send it back, lets see, it has already been delayed 3 days, now another 5 days just setting at Lufkin terminal, before they send it back to seller, well UPS, i have already been reimburesed, EBAY Buyer protection, got my shipping and all, back in my account, now you are screwing seller, and he already told me that thier would be ice in Hell before he ships UPS again.So UPS, keep running your business off.I am posting to all knife forums about this UPS way of doing business, or not doing business.Let all these Union drivers dictate what they will do.Hey I payed for delivery, not a bunch of lies.I called Lufkin first day package did not show up, and they said they neede directions(after 35 years of deliveries here), so I gave them directions, still no package, so i called again, we need apartment#, Thier is no apartments in the country, just stall tatics, UPS in Lufkin, is mad i reported thier driver.Nothing but lies comming from Lufkin terminal.I do not think anyone in the Lufkin office can wear a Mason ring, not with all this lieing going on, lieing to me, lieing to shipper.Do not exspect confidentaility, from Lufkin office if you complaine about one of thier drivers, they will tell driver, and cut off your deliveries, all driver has to say is he is scared to deliver thier anymore.Hey UPS in Lufkin, it would be easier, and more profitable just to put this no package delivering, drop package driver on another route.Hell, last driver out here, well we were on great terms, no late packages, no problem at all with that driver, no delaying packages till next day, no UPS in Lufkin, the problem started when this driver transfered to this route, just for purpose, of missing my shipping up, and he gets an A+, for it, him and the lieing Supervisor, who promises confidentuality, but tells everything instead.Butch of people in Lufkin terminal needs firing, union, or not.These poeple are giving UPS a big black eye, and after seeing UPS drivers on news throwing packages off truck, and that was third time i have seen UPS drivers caught on camara abusing packages.Look like your Union Drivers are the ones blacking your eyes.FEDEX from now on.Never any problems with FEDEX deliveries, for 35, plus years, wish i could say that about UPS, but then I would be the lier then, as it is, I will let these poeple in Lufkin Terminal do all the lieing, they are damn good at it.No people, it is worth the extra couple of dollars it takes to ship FEDEX only, we do not have to put up with UPS communist tactics.They do not care about thier customers, like FEDEX does.I have a call in too my lawyer in Houston, to see what my options are, maybe a law suite, will wake UPS up!You take money to deliver package, and then all i get for 3, three days is stalling tactics.We need directions, so i give them directions, still no delivery, we need apartment#, no apartments in the country, and finially, the driver is scared, and that made it 3, three days of stalling, and they new day one they were not going to deliver, they think i have my money tyed up in shippment, but EBAY BUYER PROTECTION, done payed me back, no seller is the one getting screwed by UPS! FEDEX from now on!

Was in Walmart yesterday, and run into one of my old drivers, he told me, when i complained, what over two weeks ago now, Super went right to driver when he showed up, and told everything, operation, P.M.P.S.(premedicated package stoppage), started then, when next package showed up, it went directly in hold bin(hold for 5 days, and return to sender), never was on truck, out for delivery, as scanned, then i called Tuesday morning, where is package?, we need directions, it was all preplanned, even girl answering phone was in on it, ( check tracking#1Z6037E24398221694, done printed it out myself, a good lawyer will need a copy of it, before UPS deletes it, it tells a story of P.M.P.S.), then we need apartment#, and i never said i would pick up at terminal, and then driver is scared to deliver, all lies, They all conspired to stop my shipments, and succeeded, they never let me talk to terminal manager, "you need to deal with Corp now".Do you see who controls that terminal now!Now I check some of my critical suppliers, and they have contract with UPS, so for all intents, and purposes, UPS, has put me out of business!Well, I think I will go to some of these auctions with Buyer Protection, and order a butch of small purchases with UPS shipping, package gets here, UPS does not deliver, I raise hell with seller, seller raises hell with UPS terminal where he shipped, everyone has to refund money, shipper changes to another shipper, auctions start wondering about UPS shipping, having to refund thier profits off of auction, it all comes back to UPS then, even my critical suppliers, might cancel thier contract with UPS.If UPS will not deliver, even with a contract, I will get my money back anyway and UPS loses more customers!Thier is no checks, and balance with UPS system, but I am sure they cannot pull this with thier contracted customers, just small businesses, like me, if you complaine, then shame on you!This damn lieing, conniving, conspiring supervisor needs, to be fired, period!He apparently is young, and has no exsperance dealing with public, and has no idea of confidance.M Rifkin, pull tracking# up, and exsplian it!Conspiracy is what it was, spitful consprancy, and driver supervisor is invovled all the way.No, they never had intentions of delivering last package, two weeks before they decided what they would do with my next shipment, put it 5 day bin, and it was all stall tactics from then on, they decided 2 weeks before, when I complained to never deliver here again!I would not let this Driver Supervisor, even supervise my outhouse detail !

That is exactly what I suggested to Super, after he said he would talk to driver, instead of saying anything to driver, it is when he said he would talk to driver, and i said i do not want my name mentioned, then i said just forget it!No, the Super promised to be descrit, and instead, he told everything to driver.Super was told to be descrit about it, and finally told to just forget it.Then next shipment, out on truck for delivery, no delivery, so i called, we need directions, I gave them, next morning, out on truck, for delivery, no delivery, i called, we need apartment#, no apartments#'s in country, still no delivery, then shipper said i agreed to pickup package, no sir, it was all stalling, lies.Called Lufkin, again yesterday, and girl said i told driver not to come in my gate a year, and a half ago, do what?He has made probable 80 deliveries, here, in past year, and half, told her that, and she said well it might have been different date, i said you need to get your lies straight, i never said a thing to driver, i talked to Driver Supervisor!He promised to be descrit, and driver should know nothing, but he knows way to much, and done had another sister call my little sister raiseing hell, with info, that only the Supervisor knew, and me! Seem's to me the drivers run the Lufkin branch, and UPS is wasting thier money paying the head hucho thier.Lufkin, also infomed me to only complaine through Corp.now.All corparation does is send you a form letter, they did not address any issue, and at end it says, hope this was helpful! That is customer service response.UPS could care less.And I could care less about UPS, now! been reading all the bad reports on different sites, and posted some myself.The whole picture, now is i would not ever do business with a lieing, communist acting, Union run, not coperate run, UPS.Corp, has no control over anything, it is the drivers Union that runs UPS, no amount of complianing will get you anywhere, they will just stop delivering to you, they got the power.All I can tell you people doing business with UPS, is do not call and complaine about a driver, they will just quite delivering to you, and thier is nothing you can do about it.Customer service, hell, this telephone pole stuck up in my yard, is better at customer service! And i will continue to bad mouth UPS, to all that will listen, it is a piss pour excuss for a company dealing with the people that payes the money.Never had any dealing with Union workers before, didn't even know they had one here, but i can tell you know if this is how they work, then they need to be outlawed, do not mess with the Drivers Union at UPS, if you want your packages delivered.Best yet, do not use UPS, "IT'S THE BEST DECISION YOU WILL MAKE ALL DAY" !

UPS damaged goods

1. I went to my local UPS store and got the specific information I needed to send a Mac Pro desktop computer that I
sold on Ebay. I was told that if the store packaged the item they would put 4 layers of bubble wrap around the computer, then place it in a UPS box and fill it with Styrofoam peanuts.

2. I purchased the extra bubble wrap I needed to add to what I had on hand from a UPS delivery I had recently received of a Mac
Pro desktop computer as well as the UPS box from the UPS store. I personally put EXTRA bubble wrap over and above what I was told by the UPS Store, filled the box with peanuts and sealed it exactly like I was instructed.

3. I delivered the box with a prepaid label that I made by signing in to my UPS account, making sure that I had marked a declared
value of $2100.

4. When I took the box to the UPS Store I was told that they could not accept it because a UPS Driver had to sign for it because
it was a high value package. I came back and had the driver sign for the package.

5. The box arrived at its destination with the computer badly damaged.

6. The recipient took photos and gave me emails stating that the package arrived seriously damaged and that the computer no
longer worked.

7. I submitted a claim (twice) and it was denied with the rationale that my packing was insufficient.

8. I had the package returned to me and took the computer to the Apple store where it is now being repaired at a cost of
approximately $1400. The final cost may be higher or lower. The cost to replace the same exact computer is approximately $3500.

UPS delivery

While I was not at home, UPS delivered a package to one of my neighbour without my authorization and despite the fact that a signature was requested.
UPS Canada told me that it is at the driver's discretion to ask a neighbour to sign and accept the package for me.
Although the driver left a note on my front door, I found UPS irresponsible to deliver a package to another address without my consent.

My granddaughter's toy bunny that she sleeps with was left at the Solara Resort in Canmore, Alberta. We realized it when we were 1/2 way home to Edmonton. We phoned Solara and they said they would ship it to us. We paid over the phone for expedited delivery. Pick up on Monday - delivery on Tuesday. It is Thursday and still NO bunny. I just got off the phone and the agent apologized and said it was in transit and should be delivered by today. I asked her how she would like to put a little girl to bed for 4 nights crying without her bunny. That is why we paid extra for next day delivery. I said she needed to make sure she spoke to a supervisor to make sure it's here today because my granddaughter is going to be gone for 4 nights after today and if I don't have it - she will go another 4 days without it. She didn't commit to doing anything more than apologizing. I really think this shipping company only cares about its business customers! They don't give a hoot about residential customers! I will NEVER use this company again.

Guess what happened to my delivery by UPS Canada. The deliver person placed my item at a wrong address. it is ridiculous! Why do we need a courier service? We might just hire somebody to do the job then.

UPS lost package, horrible customer service

I was expecting a package I ordered From Google on Tuesday, because that's what it said on the UPS web site, and that`s what UPS reps said on the phone. UPS gives a time frame of 8am-7pm for packages delivered to a residential address. I lost a whole day waiting for the package. Called UPS 5 times. and all they did is quoted me their regulations of delivery from 8am-7pm. The cannot say anything regarding the package. On their web site it showed that the package is scanned for delivery at my city. The service they give is horrible, feeding lies to get people off the phone. I finally called at 7:01pm and they still kept insisting that the package will be delivered, I just have to be patient for another 30 min. I was patient the whole day. When I called the following morning - they lost the package and asked me to call Google. refused to launch a complaint and did not offer any solution or help. I used UPS a couple of times before and had problems. This time I did not have a choice who will be delivering my package, and ups screwed up again and lost the package. a bunch of ###s working there.

UPS nasty and obnoxious driver

UPS driver has been bringing our deliveries almost every day and leaving them whenever he wants. The girls at the front desk had asked him several times not to leave it in the hallway where we have to have a full access for the patients on wheelchairs. Today I asked him again to take it to another hallway, he gave an attitude and said: don't talk to me like that. When I said I will file a complaint, he cursed me out in front of the patients. UPS is horrible, never ever I will recommend it to anyone.

UPS ups drinking and driving

I've ran my own small pub for over ten years now, and I have no problem turning down people that are obviously intoxicated. But, when a UPS driver shows up stumbling around, dropping other people's packages in my pub, and asking for a drink, it's a bit different. These driver's are drinking behind the wheel of an industrial truck that is full of packages. They could easily kill a person if they were to get into an accident.

More and more often, I see UPS drivers stopping by my pub to get another drink, and I have to turn them down. UPS needs to send these drivers to rehabilitation before they kill someone.

UPS ups driver threw package at me

I was at my brother's house on Friday and answered the door for him. A UPS driver told me, very rudely, that he had a package to deliver and that he needed a signature. I tried explaining to him that the package was for my brother, and the UPS driver completely blew up, cursing me out, and then threw the package at me. He then stormed off back to his UPS truck and, almost ran over a little boy on his bike, as he drove off.

These UPS driver's need to cool it. He's lucky that I didn't call the police on him for assault.

What do you mean "UPS has been falling apart for years now"? They are consistently ranked as one of the best companies to work for. Are you confusing United Parcel Services with the U.S. Post Office?

But the driver could have just left it at the curb, like they usually do.

I agree with Mkstitch about avoiding UPS. UPS has terrible service and the driver's think they own the road. I wouldn't doubt it, if the driver just had some road rage and was pissed off.

UPS unprofessional behavior

To start from beginning our company distribute Danfoss product in South Africa. We are importing goods from Europe and our business partner Danfoss is responsible for logistic from Denmark to South Africa. This case is carrying from 2011 till today. In May 2011 Danfoss send us goods in custom value 19981.00 ZAR, from which we are responsible for the VAT payment. So far so good, but now all is starting. UPS used wrong amount to clear goods and instead ZAR 19981.00 they wrote on custom documents goods value ZAR 298118.00, which obviously make huge difference in VAT amount to be paid. We actually been told by Danfoss that they sent goods by UPS, we did not ordered from UPS anything. UPS they sent us Invoice for ZAR 46089.00 instead ZAR 2706.00. Now because we are not their customers and we do not have account with UPS, we should pay all fees before, as always upon clearance can be done. We right away inform them that amount which they are charging is wrong and they must rectify their mistake and issue us invoice with right value, which we will pay. They ignored our e-mails and calls and cleared goods anyway and start demanding payment from us for ZAR 46089.00, which I refused to do and ask them to give me Invoice with correct amount, which I will pay immediately. UPS employee makes mistake and they want to us to pay for that? How actually this working? Top of that all import documents are wrong with incorrect values wrong companies names etc. So I went to SARS to discuss all matters and refund. SARS employee check all documents and told me that, there is risk that refund can fail because, of the incorrect information on documents.
Now in situation like that I refused to do claim from SARS and asked UPS to rectify on their side. They didn't do anything and left all things alone. Last year I get visit from sheriff with court papers, where UPS open case against to me for not paying amount, which I apparently owed to them. I had to appointed my lawyers, to defend my self and prove that actually UPS made mistake and they are responsible for whole problem. and they need to solve problem. After sending letters between my layer and UPS lawyers, which cost couple of thousand rand UPS contact me, and asked me to meet with them to try resolve problem. I met with two representative from UPS, we discus matter and they ask me to try claim VAT back from SARS and when SARS refund us pay money to UPS account. I did told them about the risk and problem with documents and they agree if SARS for any reason will not refund money they will credit.
That is agreement see bellow.
"Dear Jerry,
Thank you for meeting with Thore Saether and myself on Friday December 7.
The parties agree on the following :

1)JV Tronics to reclaim the VAT amount on the invoice (P14436) in the monthly VAT return, once settled by SARS to refund to UPS the invoiced amount of ZAR 45832.50. UPS has agreed that due to the nature of this claim, that JV Tronics only make such claim in a month where the entity does not anticipate a VAT refund which may attract SARS attention.We will co ordinate, please keep UPS informed of the status and timing of the claim.
2)UPS to credit in full the disbursement fee of ZAR1833.30
3) The parties agree to withhold and cancel any further legal actions currently in progress or being considered
4) Should for any reason SARS not refund the VAT amount, UPS undertakes to credit such amount .

Thank you for meeting with us and resolving the matter in an amicable manner.We do hope that we can continue to assist you with any logistics requirements you may have.

As discussed please let Thore have the quote we discussed for his analysis and review ( very high, excessive amount), I am sure he will be able to assist and point you in the right direction."

I submitted refund for period 12/ 2012 as agreed and i got response from SARS that VAT return was selected for audit and we need to submit supporting document in 21 days. So I asked UPS to send me document which I can submit to SARS. After numerous calls and mail we finally got our papers on 15 of April 2013, which is 73 days latter. In mean time I had inquiry from SARS to either cancel and redo my submission or submit papers as per SARS requirement. I submitted final papers to SARS on 15/04/2013 and now we are waiting for SARS if they will refund money. But in mean time i had letter from Melany Campbell from legal department UPS with following.

On 7 December 2012, there was an agreement made and noted by our Mr Seather, Mr Galbraith and yourself.
It was agreed that you would claim the vat on invoice P14436 from SARS, and once this was done you would settle the outstanding amount and we would then credit the disbursement fee.

We would therefore like to bring to your attention that it has been 6 months since this agreement and to date we have not yet received your payment. We feel that this has been sufficient time for you to recover this amount and make a payment to ourselves.
We have no choice now but to insist that this agreement be upheld and that this matter be settled by no later than the 30 July 2013, alternatively we will have no choice but to hand this matter over to out attorneys to resolve.

As you can see they threatening me with lawyers again, but we did exactly as we agree to help them recover money and UPS is the one who was holding back situation. I am getting sick and tired from their attitude and threatening me for they employee mistakes. I am going contact all major South African newspaper with same letter and If UPS will not stop to threatened me I am going open case against to them. UPS is most terrible and company I ever dealt with. How is possible to happens ? How they expect someone to pay for they mistake. Because they are big corporation, they can do what ever they want. Never met company with such a incompetent people and stink attitude.

UPS employee steals our cell # texts our children

I have come to this UPS store, since it opened yrs ago.On Gilbert, AZ. & Elliot RD. Next to Safeway. One of the employees has taken my daughters cell phone numbers, from the paper work. To think he has our address! One daughter mailed a package in Dec 2012, received a phone text, on how he thought she was beautiful, ask is this you ____. I wanted to talk to you, I mailed your package for you... then this June 2013 my youngest mailed a package, got a text, saying the same creepy stuff! They told me what he looked like, we have the texts saved. It took 3 day to get hold of the owner, He has not called me back! I know who this man is by the description! Waiting to hear from the owner! UPS store in Gilbert, AZ Valvista & Elliot Rd. I called him this morning, He said, he talked to his manager, and he will not do again, he also said, he got the cell # s from a friend. really! my children do not know him, the UPS manager, text to my children, You do not know me, I helped you with your package. That is stealing personal information! He knows our address too. The owner, said, thats what people do, to get to know you, I do not think so, that is stealing information!

UPS is full of perverted employees. The driver's in my area are known for being perverts. Last year, one was caught trying to pick up a 12 year old girl.

UPS damaged claims

As an ASO - I shipped a package that was insured for $700. The item (properly packed) was still damaged by UPS. We have provided all the information that they have asked for - but today, 8 weeks into the claim, now they want us to ship it to a third party evaluator to determine if it is fixable or not. Plus they want documentation of the shipper sold it for as opposed to what the replacement cost. The claims people are arrogent and condescending and have the attitude that everyone should know the constantly changing rules that UPS uses to not pay claims. Buying UPS insurance is a waste of money - you will never get your money back!

UPS disrespectful driver/ threw my package

I got home early two days in a row because I knew the UPS guy was suppose to come by and drop off my packages. Both times I was on the phone with my husband and I hear one, just one loud BANG at my door. Mine you I am only a few feet away because I seen him coming and I wanted to beat him to the door. He throws the box and leaves. The second day (time) he threw the box I went outside and asked him to come here and I asked him why he didnt knock on the door and hand me the box. And I also asked him why he threw my merchandise that I paid for. He was rude and disrespectful and I notified my leasing office of door damages. He got n my face while I was holding my child and proceeded to yell at me and open up as if he wanted to fight. He said he didnt care because It was a box from finishline and it was some shoes. The fact of the matter is...he didnt pay for it and he has no right to throw anything at my home especially if its mine and not his.
