UPS real jerks who don't know the left from right

About 2 weeks ago I ordered a World War 2 helmet from a company I deal with in the states for antiques. I had no problems before with this company and shipping was no problem. Well, just last week when the package came to Winnipeg I got a call from UPS saying that customs wanted to know who my broker was? Dughhh UPS, there has been no problem like this before, then they wanted to know if this WW2 helmet, (which is a replica) was for my personnel use?over and over again, and they would not release the shipment unless I pay the customs fee up front. Normally what would happen is that I pay when I get a bill in the mail from UPS. Well they raised a stink over this helmet which has no insignia on it. It is a replica of a 70 year old product. I collect WW2 uniforms books, movies etc and no problems. UPS called me up again and said they copied down my payment number, humm after all this time my payment is on file they now say they mess it up? The law in Canada says I can collect this stuff so long as it is not use in any hate related things in public. Well, after this charade of back and forth I went to the media who intern told me that they called Canada customs and they said that they cleared it and that it was UPS fault. UPS says it is customs fault, and that it was selected for being checked. If that is the case then doesn't Canada Customs know the law in Canada? That it should have been waved off. I am sure they get WW2 stuff going back and forth between the border and this stuff is not at all hate or related to some radical group. Yea, like I am going to parade with this helmet on I be the laughing stock of Alberta. Never use UPS again they seem to be incompetent people. I always get some person who can't be barley understood over the phone when complaining. I finally got the package delivered to me. Below is a scan example of how the harassment I had to put up with.

Canada has no legislation specifically restricting the ownership, display, purchase, import or export of Nazi flags. However sections 318-320 of the Criminal Code, [8] adopted by Canada's parliament in 1970 and based in large part on the 1965 Cohen Committee recommendations, [9] provide law enforcement agencies with broad scope to intervene if such flags are used to communicate hatred in a public place (particularly sections 319(1), 319(2), and 319(7).[9]

Also, after being on the phone to UPS I got in my email I need power of attorney to release the helmet. I called back UPS and they say it is Canada Customs doing this. Funny I had stuff checked by customs many times and the tape on the box to reseal the package says "Cleared by Customs" and delayed and it was waved on through. Normally my stuff goes through Winnipeg, MB and then it goes to Calgary, AB and up to Olds, AB. This time I got a notice from Fredericton, NB that says I needed power attorney. I called up UPS and they said I needed to give them permission to release the package and power of attorney is just a consent form. Really, because according to the legal terminology of Power of Attorney it means somebody else to handle some else's affairs if they are incompetent or sick to do so.

UPS not delivering package

I ordered a Vizio TV off of Amazon for my Grandma's birthday (her tv is 10 years old.) I paid extra for two day shipping so it would be here on Monday 3/18. As of tonight Tuesday 3/19 the TV is no where to be found, it cannot be found due to "emergency" circumstances.

I'm having the same problem but the manager basically told me she doesn't know what the problem is and would have to talk with driver. She would call back, never heard from her. I ordered an item with two day delivery, was suppose to be delivered 12/6/13, it is now 12/12/13 and I still have not received the package. It snowed 5 days ago and there is one patch of ice about 3 feet long which is what I think that is why the driver won't come up the driveway. We in the neighborhood have had no problems driving in or out, I received a fed ex shipment and an FTD shipment. The manager at UPS stated it isn't like our trucks, so I asked are your trucks like driving a school bus, garbage truck, or propane truck which could explode if it crashes as they have made it to our house no problem. Maybe that is why she isn't calling back. She also told me that I could come pick up the package at the distributing center, what did I pay shipping for. Am going to send a letter to corporate although from what I am reading they won't care. But maybe amazon will as I will be requesting all my shipping costs back and letting them know as they are very customer oriented.

UPS value of a life

I worked for UPS for the past 5 years. Safety first is their motto in meeting yet once on the floor working or on the clock that goes out of the window. I was struck by illness on the job with Rhabdomyolysis, (Healthy athletes die from this quite often) they had me train for a new driving position during a heatwave in winter uniform and with a supervisor who skipped my lunches, chain smoked and felt it was good enough to drink mounds of water all day instead of eat when the houses to be delivered to mostly have lengthy driveways to haul up and down. This went on for 2 days with 11-12 hour shifts. I ended up going to the hospital which was mandated by the Doctor appointed to UPS workers, my body started to shut down, my muscles began to destroy them selves, my heart became irregular and I still have high blood pressure, I could have lost my life. Management/union reps visited me the same day I was admitted and showed concern. It has been 7 months since, this happened in July 2012.. 7 months of UPS contesting my illness, leaving me and my family facing foreclosure and shut off notices. They know my struggle and the fact that I do not qualify for workers comp, they are quick to pay claims for packages and customer complaints because they avoid any bad publicity, but care less about the welfare of their workers. They make the load workers touch packages twice which are against all rules, they allow supervisors to load trucks against policy, and create a fake atmosphere in the warehouse following rules and regulation only when upper management is scheduled to visit. There is much more, but my complaint is that I could have lost my life, and they are fighting not to take responsibility for a life, but will for a package. Disheartened and disgusted.

UPS drivers are overpaid. They should be making no more than $15.00/hour. They are lazy and can't get the job done.

She can make a law suit if her supervisor refused her lunches, smoked in front of her and the resulting in her illness. If I was the complaintant I would investigate what options are open to file a complaint with BBB. I hope you a quick recovery.

It's not UPS fault for you getting sick. It was your responsibility to purchase disability insurance. You obviously didn't. UPS is not the irresponsible one here, you are. It's time for you to grow up and accept responsibity for your choices.

UPS rude, disrespectful driver

I just want to complain about a very rude and disrespectful driver who delivered my package yesterday. For what I know his name is jaime, I am working in one of the shoe store here in inglewood as the office manager, jaime the ups driver went inside the warehouse to give us the package, he usually hand evry package to jeronimo so he was surprised when I was the one whos getting the package from him, he was like "nope not you, I dont know you, not the bald headed guy" which is very embarassing and humiliating and evrybody in my workplace laughed at me I felt really really bad about it because first of all I dont know that driver (Jaime) we are not friends how come he's gonna throw a joke on me as if we are close. I kept quiet and didnt say a word hes still throwing jokes on me making fun of me so I dont kknow I felt really bad cant explain how I felt that time, for me that is very disrespectful I want you to punish him or maybe to atleast remind him to be cautious in whatever he was saying or doing specially when he doesnt know the person he was talking to..

Ps. Im gonna paste/attach something on this message so you would know whos driver/jaime I am talking about. Hope you can help me and punish all this disrespectful, rude and abusive drivers from ups. UPS delivery update lie

I order a PC from Lenovo, UPS tracking stated that the PC would be delivered by close of day on the 3rd Jan, so I worked from home and waited in all day. It didn't arrive the tacking updated at 9pm to arriving the next day the 4th Jan with no reason.

Again I arranged to work from home, waited in all day at 4pm the tracking was updated to say they had tried to deliver but I wasn't in which was a lie I had waited in all day and no card was left. Delivery man clearly wanted to go home early.

No explaination as to when it will be delivered now, charlatans.

UPS 2 day air shipping a scam?

Paid a lot of money for 2 Day Air shipping with UPS only to find out that my parcel has moved from Coppell Texas to Spring Texas (3 hour drive by car) has taken 5 'business' days (not including holidays and such) -- Dang it, my parcel was supposed to arrive in Wisconsin long ago. {sigh}!

There's been NO mention of damage or weather delays.

That parcel contains urgent supplies and is why I paid extra for 2 Day Air Shipping to expedite the delivery process. But I guess the UPS hippie bus must have taken a wrong turn, oh wait; my parcel is suppose travel by 'air' {doh}!

This statement is true; I have all copies of UPS tracking info including receipts of payment should any official person require further evidence to support my case. Of course the company who supplied the items are not at fault and since they arranged the shipment; a claim for refund will need to be made by them and then credited to me; should that fail?, I intend to lodge official complaints to the appropriate authorities.

UPS must not be allowed to accept money for services they did not provide. If any else has an issue such as this? then I strongly advise you to lodge an official complaint.

People complain about that a lot! They ask what can Brown do for you? I say, absolutely nothing! I use ol' faithful--the Blue Eagle! The postal service, even with all of its financial troubles is still the best train running to get my parcels when and where I need them. AND, they won't charge you for correcting addresses! With UPS, if you spell Reading Street like Reeding Street THEY CHARGE YOU. Stick with what you know. The Blue Eagle delivers to EVERY ADDRESS in AMERICA six days per week, and to 10% of every address on Sundays and holidays!

UPS parcel delivery delays

UPS is a big cheater. I am suffering so much because of these guys. My parcel was coming from United States and it just circled in my own city for 5 days. They posted fake delivery attempts. Each evening i come home, call them and ask about my package. They give a fake reason for not delivering it. After 5 days of frustration, I finally could reach a supervisor who assured me that i will get my package today itself. But as expected i did not get anything. I was not surprised to see a fake comment on the tracking information that "As per the customer request, the package will be picked by the customer at our office. Customer has confirmed it." It is all fake, white lie, they make up things. I did not get any call, never confirmed that i would pick them at their office. I had already been to their office the previous day and they returned me telling that the package will be sent to my home. The customer care representatives keep lying that they are sending urgent messages to the parcel center. The parcel center also updated in their records (as told by their agent) that they called me multiple times and have discussed the delivery of this package. I was never contacted by them. They dont want to do work just bother poor customer. Canada post is so much better. I wasted so much time, energy, money because of totally unreliable services by UPS. I would NEVER EVER recommend their services to anyone.

UPS left notice of delivery attempt with no indication of reason, time, or any marks at all. UPS hidden fees and delivery fraud

I recently ordered by phone an item from a store in the United States. The item was not available in Canada and in limited supply in the U.S. It was an expensive item. I paid for the item upfront by Visa. I was not told at the time of purchase by the store or UPS about any charges other than the purchase price of the item. The store sent the item UPS. I was contacted by UPS prior to delivery to tell me the multiple hundreds of charges in hidden fees ( GST, Duty, broker charges and GST on the broker charges) that I would have to agree to pay COD, or my package would not be delivered. This constituted theft, as the paid for item was my personal property, and UPS was holding it hostage, trying to extort hiddedn fees from me if I wanted to receive it. UPS refused to negotiate with me, saying their contract was only with the store. UPS finally agreed to deliver the item the next day if I agreed to pay the fees. They did not delilver the item the next day. UPS refused to say why but said it was delaying the delivery until the following week. I called the store, which called UPS, and UPS told the store that it could call again the next day and "perhaps" the item might be delivered that day. I still do not have the item although it is my personal property.

UPS is a problem company. It's been taken over by union workers that don't want to work. They just sit around and collect big paychecks while the company slowly sinks. They are all overpaid.

I feel sorry for the company, but not the workers.

UPS driver

On Aug 22, 2012 I was driving to Louisville KY alone on I 24 just north of Chattanooga TN. The road construction called for the right lane to end ahead so I moved to the left lane. When the bottle neck came the UPS driver came up on my right side, stomped on his gas pedal and forced me in to the ditch. He was hauling a full size trailer leaving me no choice but to stop in the weeds and wait for him to pass. I have the truck number, a description of the driver and the plate number of the trailer but do not know how to reach the home office and file my complaint. I am a responsible adult and travel this road often. I have seen truck drivers take advantage of "4 wheelers", as they call automobiles, but this was too blatantly obvious that he had no concern for my health or safety. UPS needs to know what their employees are doing on the road,

UPS broken product, poor customer service

Save your money and go somewhere else. Sent my TV through this
Company. Received it damaged. The whole inside of the the TV was in pieces. Long story short it took them 3 weeks to pick up the TV. Even after requesting certain pickup times. Each three failed attempts to pick up the would cancel the damaged claim. They finally pick it up and send it back to Ottawa (it was sent from Ottawa to Calgary). They have their own "investigation" team. Two weeks later I call to be I up on the status of the claim.the guy at he ups store said that because I did not purchase insurance on the TV that there was nothing they could do for me. Only the fact that they don't have insurance, only if lost. I asked him what they did with my TV and the guy couldn't tell me. Just maybe that it was in Ottawa or Calgary. I don't understand the point of them picking the TV up if they had if they had no plan on doing anything. Please do not not go with this company. I really wish I hadn't.

UPS nasty driver

Our driver has become a nightmare after we filed a complaint with ups about our driver having a fit and talking # about my wife because she was not able to open a gate fast enough for him. He told our neighbor she was #ing crazy because she wanted him to come later to drop off the boxes. We reported him to the customer service department and the area manager did everything to excuse what he did. She told us we had to just understand he was from hawaii and that is how he is and to make sure the gate will be open for him when he arrives. After all that b. S. He now has become a nightmare to our business, refusing to deliver our shipments where we need them to be droped off and he even told us that there is nothing ups will do to him because he is the only driver for our route. One day my wife was alone and the gate was open but he refused to go to the back to deliver over 6 large boxes. He flat out said I am not going to do that and dropped the boxes in our front office blocking the pathway to our front door. My wife reported him again and then later in the day, he stoped by asking who reported him. I was shocked. Again that the palm springs area manager did nothing. We asked the manager to stop by our shop but she has refused to come by. We cut off ups from our shipping acccounts but other vendors still have to ship through ups to us meaning we still have to deal with this jerk. I asked the manager to give us a contact number for her supervisor, but she has refused to give us that information. Dealing with this driver is a living hell.
I need a direct california area manager contact.

UPS bad delivery

I had placed an order with Amazon.com and delivery was 7/28/12. UPS delivered by placing package in middle of cement driveway in mid-day, very hot without any notification that they had even been on the premises. I was home and they could have least placed package in garage or come to front door and ring bell. If we had not gone outside, there is no telling when we would have seen the package. It contained a cardridge for printer and some eye medication. Very disappointed in this service.
I hope they hear about this. S. Melvin

UPS denial of claim for damages they caused

On June 13, 2012, I shipped a telescope from the UPS store in Ladner, BC to the telescope manufacturer (Celestron) in Torrance, California. I paid UPS $54.32 to pack the telescope safely and properly. It arrived at Celestron badly damaged. I phoned a damage complaint to UPS Canada. After a week and a half's delay, UPS told Celestron (but not me, I never heard back from them) that they were denying the claim. The telescope is worth more than $3, 000. The cost to repair the damages is likely to be in the order of $1, 000. I understand that it is UPS operating policy to deny all damage claims and then wait to see who sues them, before settling. I am outraged at UPS's high-handed and negligent way of doing business. What can I do to bring UPS to admit its responsibilities?

UPS women

I been with this company for close to three years. But the way women are being treated is not nice. Mainly there are two ladies who joined the company early this year and where put to off load trucks with only very heavy packages and is they are not off loading that truck they are taken to do irregs these are also heavy items that where off loader by men the previous day. When one day I brought this issue to the supervisor Howard and Max why ladies are being used like that yet there are men being put in great numbers in other tracks. The answer was have they complained."? I told Howard these are new people who are scared to even complain and you are taking advantage of them. After two/three weeks passed one of them got sick and couldn't show up for work for almost a month. When she returned she was still asked to go and do the same heavy lifting she refused and asked to do something lighter like other fellow women do upstairs(Small sorts) or to do the scanning. She was told that was impossible because she knew nothing. The woman lost interest in the job the more because even upstairs there are other women who are so comfortable with the duties they were doing and there is also a big fight with the scheduling and now the new comer find it more difficult to get any spot. To make this short, I am wondering when should any new person get the right training and with who and in which duration. Is it really fair for the old staff to call names the new, and only give up duties that need heavy lifting while the management is just looking on? Who is to be informed about any mistreatment at this company since no body is taking this issue up apart from giving promises. Why is it so hard to train the new staff and praises go to the old staff yet they still do many mistakes. Where are the work ethics in this company?

UPS package delivered to wrong address 2 days in a row

I had a package that was due to us on May 24th. Found out that it got delivered to and address on the other side of town. UPS was supposed to pick it up on the morning of the 25th and delivered to me that afternoon.
I was told that it got put in the wrong truck again today and there would be no way to get it today. This is completely unsatisfactory.

This is an extremely urgent package that we need before the weekend.

I can't believe that there would not be a driver or supervisor of some kind that can deliver this package to me.

Its not the address. We get deliveries everyday. UPS has put it in the wrong truck 2 days in a row.
The second day.
I apologize the title should have said Put in the wrong truck 2 days in a row.
The first day It did get delivered to the wrong address on the other side of town. UPS promised to get it and deliver it me that day. Something got screwed up and UPS said it would get picked up the second in the morning and delivered to me. Well it got put in the wrong truck and it is still on the wrong side of town.

If I had know I would have picked it up.

UPS damage/rudeness

I had a bike delivered from Southern California and it sustained damage. The driver left before we had a chance to inspect it. The company I purchased it from started a claim and at first the gal at UPS Freight implied I had crashed the scooter which was still on the crate it was delivered on. We have gone back and forth for the pick up and they have been rude, demeaning and patronizing the entire time. They hung up on us twice. It has since been a month and a half and it is still in my garage. I would never use this company ever. If you find yourself in a conflict with this company small claims court should be your first stop.

UPS ups store franchise closes down, ups abandons customers

I rented a box from MBE Store #301, a UPS Store franchise, for a year and renewed the subscription in November 2011 for another year. In December I arranged for a friend to pick up my mail (name written on my file) because I was going home for three months and was assured that all was well.
I returned at the beginning of April and my friend informed me that the store had been emptied of mailboxes with no explanation or forwarding address on the door.
I contacted the Franchiser, UPS by email and was informed that the local rep for Alberta would contact me. This was on a Sunday. I waited until mid Monday and receiving no reply phoned head office in Ontario again to find out what had happened to my mail, having received no T-4 slips for filing a tax return. Again I was told someone would be in contact with me.I also left a phone message and number on his cell phone in Alberta. I received an email referring to a previous email which I never received. You are welcome to read the response. He basically told me that there was nothing that they could do and told me to move on.
At no time was I ever offered a refund or discount on a mailbox at another branch for the 10 months. Most disturbing was the defensive, dismissive attitude of the local representative who may be more focused on selling new franchises that dealing with customer service. To change an address from a commercial mailbox you cannot use Canada Post, so I had to start from scratch.
I waited for some followup from UPS and to date have heard nothing and no answer to my question that if this can happen once, what do they plan to do to prevent it from ever happening again? I was not the only one affected.
It is shocking that such a large company would behave in such an indifferent manner.

Wow, same thing has happened to me. I live in New York, and their Fresh Meadows branch was just closed out of nowhere. I never received a notice, or a phone call, or anything. But I have paid for a 6 month box rental & only had it for 2 months so now I have the headache of not only losing my box, my mail etc...but now to chase UPS corporate around to get my money back. I totally sympathise with you!

UPS don't bother paying higher shipping rates, the claims are worthless

I recently received a stereo preamp that I bought on Ebay. The unit had been previously bought and returned due to a measurement listed wrong. The item went half way across the country and back in tact. When it got shipped to me, on Friday, the box was crushed, the .062″ stamped steel covers were badly dented. I immediately filed a claim with UPS. A claims agent called me a few hours later. He tried to claim it was not packed properly etc.

but I reminded him it made a farther journey and was fine. It was obviously mistreated. I decided to try to repair the unit, so I disassembled it, put the metal cover and rear panel in a press to straighten it out. It is really heavy steel for a stereo. The UPS agent told me that would be fine if I could fix it, and he would contact me on the following Monday or Tuesday, but I should stay in contact with the shipper. I was successful fixing the preamp, but the glass insulator that came with it is toast.

I told the shipper I was pursuing a claim for my time and damaged items. Well, no call from UPS. So I contacted them via live chat, and was informed my case was closed. All transactions have to go through the shipper, and the shipper did not enter a value on the unit. I thought the minimum was $100 anyway. As the conversation went on, making sure I understood, I was informed UPS does NOT INSURE any package. You are not buying insurance when you enter the item value! SO I am letting everyone know, UPS does not insure packages, and if you get damage, YOU ARE SCREWED!

So don’t bother paying higher shipping rates, the claims are worthless. I have talked to many people that had legitimate claims only to get nothing. Buyer beware!

UPS ups packages not delivered

UPS Packages were supposed to be delivered by 12/23/2011. But they never were attempted on a delivery. Contacted customer service on 12/27/2011 and spoke to Jeremiah and he informed me that there was a note stating the customer requested a hold on all six packages. Jeremiah sent a message to the facility in Jackson, MS informing them of the tracking numbers and the note that was showing on each of the tracking numbers. I then received a call from LaToya from that UPS facility and she was very giddy in which I did not find funny at all.

She informed me that this was a system generated message and that my packages were still on a truck. She said she was going to have them take them off the truck and have them delivered. She also stated that she would give me credit for the shipping fees. She told me she would give me a call back. 12/28/2011 1:00 pm cst, I contacted UPS at [protected] and spoke with Donna who went on to tell me that the packages were not guaranteed to be delivered, although it showed a delivery date, they were never delivered. I explained to her that one of my packages which was the 7th package was delivered by FedEx without any problems. She told me they delivered more packages than UPS. Who cares! Don’t spout stats at me at this point. I wanted my packages delivered.

So I asked for a UPS supervisor and Donna told me that the packages would be delivered when they are took them off the truck. She got a supervisor, (Bernita) who accessed these tracking numbers and thought it was a bit ridiculous. She attempted to call the facility in Jackson, MS and there was no answer. So she returned to me and told me she would call me back with an update. While out in the yard with a contractor, a person by the name Paulette left a message “I’m returning your call that you said noone called you back.” I’ll try later. She did not leave a number for me to call her back. This is just ridiculous….In addition to this situation, I am asking for my money for shipping back……So far I have been told no.

I recently ordered some sheets off your internet site and it was shipped ups part of the way to my address and then it was dropped off at a post office in another town and then sent through the postal service to my local post office. When it arrived here, the postal people said there was no Box number on the address and then refused it and sent it back. The receipt I printed after I made my order has my street address as well as my Box number on the shipping adress. I would like to know why my package was shipped part way Ups and part way USPS when we have ups service in my town.

I would also like to know if it is possible if my street address and box number is on my receipt, for my shipping address, if my box number could of been left off my package.
